Giving 1 star indicates a job was performed, this is not the case. Safelite took ~$400 of my money, guaranteed an appointment for 3/19/24 from 12-5 and the tech just never showed up. Calling the shop (this location) leads to a phone that just rings without answer. Their automated system rescheduled, without my consent, to a date 8 days later at a time I am not available. The entire time now I am stuck with a windshield that is not water tight, and I would hedge a bet that Safelite isn't going to compensate me for the damage this will lead to my vehicle due to their shop and tech's negligence. I have called customer service multiple times and there is no recourse, this company and shop have scammed me out of a product that I am required to have and then they had the audacity to reschedule AND charge me more for the exact same service. To say this is not how business is conducted is an understatement. I'd much rather trust gas station sushi before I trust Safelite or the Safelite Brandon office.Edit/update 3/22/24: Safelite finally came out today (3/22/24) to complete the service, 5 days after they said they would. This took no less than 40 calls between the shop and corporate. Thus far I have attempted to contact this location 26 times with less than a 10% success rate for someone to pick up - there is no voicemail (this seems deliberate). During the replacement, the tech shattered my old windshield, sending glass throughout my vehicle, he attempted to clean it, but there are still fine glass particles everywhere along with some larger pieces. The windshield that was placed on the vehicle was fundamentally different vs the one removed (and not just because it wasn't shattered), I pointed this out to the tech but we were already at a point of no return as the old one was destroyed, I have serious concerns and doubts that this windshield is correct. During the installation process, the tech caused multiple scratches and damage to multiple panels on my vehicle, this is no garage queen vehicle, but I'm more than willing to own up the dents and scratches I caused, and these new ones were definitely not from me. I am now stuck with what seems to be an inferior product, with glass shards and dust throughout my vehicle cabin (very dangerous to your lung health), and damage to my vehicle. I am obviously not updating my rating unless Google allows us to give 0. All in all, I would never recommend Safelite to anyone ever again. If my choices were Safelite or plastic wrap from Dollar general, I'm picking dollar general every single time, because at least I'll get what I paid for.Edit/update (again) 4/5/24: finally got someone from this location to reach out to me about fixing the damage they caused over 2 weeks ago, this took calling corporate every other day, each time being promised that I'd get an answer and never getting one. Had to state that I'll never drop this issue over principle alone. I've easily spent more in time vs what this windshield cost me. At this point it is about doing what is right, and this location seems to be doing their best to do the exact opposite of that.

I just wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to Ramon at Safelite. I brought my truck in for a new windshield not thinking about the dash cam and wiring that goes with it as well as remote start, and Sunpass. Ramon not only made sure they were all perfectly aligned and working, but might have even done a better job than I did putting them up in the first place.I felt really well taken care of at this location. They did a great job on my vehicle overall and I highly recommend the staff here.

The tech that came to my home communicated with me the whole time. From the time he arrived until he was done with my vehicle. He did such a great job with replacing my glass. So far so good. I would recommend Safelite for anyone that needs the job done quick and correct.

Ramon was great! Had a tiny hiccup in the process and he made sure I knew exactly what is going on, and updated me along the way! He noticed that the part he received was a little defective, so he caught that and made sure to order a rush replacement right then and there to make sure I get a great service. He was so nice and attentive. If I need service, I ll be asking for Ramon in the future.

The first mobile tech who attempted the repair was great. He explained everything, including the risks associated with a chip repair. Well, the repair failed and the chip is now a massive crack. Safelite arranged for a windshield replacement immediately.It is scheduled for today, although, just like yesterday - no one answers their local branch phone number and you cannot leave a message. I have now called there five times over two days and no answer - just an automated response after it rings too many times.It would be nice to know if and when they plan to arrive today. Inclement weather is forecast and the window (no pun intended) for repair is closing quickly.It's a brand new car - after reading some of these reviews, I'm a little nervous about what else might go wrong during the replacement.Recap: technicians current and historically over the years have been great. Local branch communication is lackluster at best. It could've been a 5 star review - makes you wonder if they really care all that much. They have a captive audience, especially in Florida, so I suppose customer service is secondary. Funny, they never mention this little "feature" in their abundant TV and radio adverts.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Three separate appointments and I'm still without a rear view mirror. This company has no consideration for your time and this local shop could care less about fixing an issue they caused. They broke the replacement windshield trying to reattach the mirror at the shop and then couldn't reattach it on the third appointment and then the tech that did the replacement has ghosted me ever since after promising to come back to attach the rear view mirror. Other than the outrageous amount required by Geico month to month, the only thing I'm thankful for is that I didn't pay anything to get this replaced. Still, time has a value as well of which both the company at large and this shop do not seem to care about.Service: Auto windshield repair

I can't give less than one star review. Unfortunately, we were never told we would have an issue recalibrating the car after they changed the glass. Then they came to change the glass again because according to them we needed a different type of glass for a Cadillac Escalade to be able to recalibrate the car, well that didn't work either and they messed up the windshield. Took them like 3 days to come back to fix it. We were also told to bring the car to the shop twice to recalibrate the car. After hours and hours 4 hrs of waiting twice they said that now we have to take it to the dealership to recalibrate it and we're going to have to pay $200 out of pocket because they can't fix it. We were never told that. . So disappointed with your company. Very unprofessional. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Everyone seemed friendly and professional. It seems they did a good job on our windshield. I think they usually have you go get your own vehicle, but an employee saw me limping, so they brought the car to me. I would recommend them.

5 mins late for an appointment due to an accident on 75 and tech Ramon turned me away. terrible service and zero sympathy. unfortunately i had to go here since this place was the only place my insurance could repair my windshield at.

The whole process was very easy. My insurance company partners with Safelite so I started the process to submit a claim via my insurance app and they automatically brought up the safelite site to schedule the appointment. Communication was excellent with texts and emails. Our tech, Matt, was great. He explained the process to me at the car and answered all of my questions. The windshield looks great and there was no mess left in or on the car. I highly recommend this shop.

They replaced my drivers side car window, and really messed it up. The guy broke the inside of the door, according to the following appointment. And when I put the window down -it basically rotated instead. It could have fallen right out. Especially if I was driving. That could have killed someone.. The warranty eventually covered them fixing the door, but it took them almost 2 weeks for the replacement parts and next appointment.

Installed cheap aftermarket glass after OEM glass was ordered and approved. They must have thought I wouldn t notice- Unethical business practices and worse yet the District and Regional Managers have failed to call me back on my Customer Care case for two weeks! I m disgusted in my experience and will never go back to Safelite

About a week ago I went to this location to get a small 2 inch cracked repaired on my windshield. Less than a week after getting this repaired the crack has now spread. I wasted $150+tax for a repair job that lasted less than a week. Do not go to this place, their front desk cares more about gossiping then actually helping. I now have to get the entire windshield replaced. Avoid this terrible place

Technician Evan came out to fix my windshield in my BRAND NEW vehicle. This is the result. He NEVER stated that this occurred in the process. I probably would ve been less frustrated knowing that he messed up and was willing to fix it but to know that he did a job, messed up and left is completely unprofessional. Check your vehicle prior to technicians leaving. Take before and after photos as well.

Making an appointment was very convenient....good customer service from the tech as well as the front desk receptionist....the wait time was prolonged due to the weather conditions however I feel as if they did the best they could and they did a good job.

The roads on 301 between Gibsonton and Big Bend need serious work done. As you're driving the road has pieces of it coming up and putting cracks on people's windshields. Mine being one of them. Safelite quickly fixed it, I had to wait a few days until after the holiday.

Just got my windshield replaced and the customer service was excellent! All the guys there were very nice and kept me updated while I was waiting. There was damage to my car while it was at this shop. It was my back windshield that got replaced. Not sure as to what exactly happened but my hatch would not open after they worked on it. They could not figure it out. I had to take my car to the dealer to get fixed and safelite said they would pay for the repairs. Once i heard back from corporate they told me they would NOT pay for the repairs of the damage that occured on their watch. THEY LOST A CUSTOMER!Service: Auto rear window replacement

Their customer service was terrible. They scheduled an appointment to come replace my glass and didn t show up for it. When I contacted them to find out why they didn t show up, they hung up on me on 3 separate occasions. I came to get my windshield replaced. When replacing it, a plastic piece around my rear view mirror was broken. They told me right away about it, and had it ordered. It wasn t a big deal as things like that happen sometimes. The plastic piece came in and a technician came out to my job and put it on. As he reinstalled the broken plastic piece, he ended up breaking the brackets to the control panel that had the interior light switches. I don t see how he couldn t have realized this when it happened, but it was never mentioned to me. A few weeks passed and out of nowhere this control panel dropped from the ceiling of my car and was only hanging there by the electrical wires. When I arrived at this location a tech and an assistant manager checked it out. I was told I had to wait for the higher manager to get back from lunch. I expressed my frustration of how this was a big inconvenience and I was pressed for time given I was on my lunch break. I ended up having to stay there for 2 hours while a guy super glued it, and a new piece would be ordered. I asked for a rental, but was told that would even take longer. There was no sense of urgency and no manager tried to discuss the issue with me at hand or even apologize for the runaround. I m extremely dissatisfied with the quality of service and the quality of customer service. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Scheduled online for a windshield replacement and provided VIN for accuracy. Tech showed up with wrong windshield and then couldn t get the correct one that day. Rescheduled for another day and . tech showed up with wrong windshield again. He called the office and then told me they couldn t get the correct window or seal for several days. He tried to claim I was at fault for providing incorrect information on website even though I had provided the actual VIN for the vehicle AND the first technician verified all information when he showed up with the wrong glass the first time. Needless to say, I fired Safelite on the spot and politely asked him to leave and not return. Didn t prepay online so fortunately I didn t have to hassle with getting a refund. Called another local company, V.P. Elite Auto Glass, who was able to get the window done that afternoon for less than what Safelite was charging. Avoid Safelite if you can!
