I've been taking my cars to Scott since I met my wife 10 years ago. Her family has been using Scott since the early 90s. I dealt with plenty of auto shops prior to Scott and I have to say you really won't find a more honest mechanic. On top of that, he's really good at what he does and charges a more than fair price.Over the years, any time anyone asked if I knew a good mechanic, I emphatically told them to go here. If you're looking for a no hassle mechanic and overall great guy, Scott is your man.

Took my car to Scott when I was on a bit of a time-crunch. I knew exactly what I needed done, Scott did it quickly, properly, didn't try to sell me any useless services, and charged way less than the quotes I was getting at other shops. Not to mention he's also an incredibly friendly guy and really knows the ins and outs of cars. Highly recommend Scott for any work you need done and will be returning to him in the future.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Trustworthy and honest people. I know that when I bring in my car, I won t be getting ripped off or told that unnecessary parts need to be fixed. They also take Volkswagens and work on them for a reasonable price which is not easy to find in South Tampa. The owner Scott is very kind and respectful and keeps you updated throughout the process. Their shop is always full of cars and they still manage to efficiently fix everything in a timely manner.

I have trusted Scott, at Prime Performance, for over 30 years. He's maintained all of my cars since high school, I'm about to turn 56 years old at the time of this review. Just this morning, I made two calls to him about why my vehicle won't start, he told me to try a few things over the phone and the car started right up, Of course he'll have to fix the problem for me, a bad ignition switch, but I appreciate him taking the time to guide me over the phone to get to the root of the problem. Definitely recommend that anyone should give Scott a try at Prime Performance, Honest, fair, and always happy to help. He treats my family, like family!

I recently had some work done on my 2002 Jeep liberty. The work done was awesome. The price was fair. And the owner, Scott, is a real gentleman. Needless to say, now that I m living in South Tampa, this is my go to shop for auto repair.I would ve given them six stars if possible !

Scott at Prime Performance is a very honest , knowledgeable and fairly priced for his mechanic service, he isalso very loyal to his customers. I would not take my car to anyone else, Scott is the best !!

Scott is a great mechanic. He is honest and highly skilled. I can't say enough good things about him. You can trust what he says and there is no need for a second opinion. He will never overcharge you and he'll get to the bottom of whatever is wrong with your vehicle.

This is best mechanic and shop in all of Tampa and surrounding areas. They are fair and honest, hard to find in this industry. He s very reasonably priced and gets the job done each and every time in a timely manner.So happy to have found this business. We travel over an hour to get our vechiles serviced here.

A mechanic with vast knowledge, a real motorhead. People bring their vintage cars here. Owner comes from a mechanic family, brought up on it. No price gouging, this shop really has costumer service and integrity. Honest and intelligent. These are the 'go to' guys for auto problems. I trust Prime for their knowledge. They solve problems and fix your vehicle.

Yesterday was my first Prime Experience. My l'il truck did not cooperate and hid the problem by the time I got there; however, Scott found a different problem that we fixed. Of course, once I left, the original problem resurfaced, so I turned around and they diagnosed the likely culprits. We will be expelling those suspects next Monday along with some additional maintenance.I would give 5 stars, but let's wait until after my next visit.Thanks to Scott and his crew!
