I had Carl as my mechanic. He was super easy to get in contact with and was able to get to my car within 15 minutes. He ran a test on my car battery and replaced it in no time. Carl was super friendly and such great help. Highly recommend!

Bunch of money hungry drug addicts work here. The desk lady was literally nodding out. I think they all in the same family. I don't know why this place has any five star reviews. Got my car back after they "fixed it" it was an alternator. The price was insane too. Checked under the hood when I got it back and the coolent reservoir was cracked and leaking looked like somebody was leaning on it. Also had a dent on my car. They denied responsibility. I was recommended to go here by AAA I will never go to this company or take advise from triple A again

10/10 would recommend. This is one of the very few mechanics open on the weekend. I called on a Saturday morning about my A/C that stopped working thinking there was no way they'd be able to get me in same day. Frank told me to come in early afternoon and the issue was fixed within a couple of hours. I thought I was going to be spending tons of money on a new compressor, but Frank was very honest and told me my issue was actually a lot cheaper. Above and beyond service from an honest mechanic with fair prices, I will trust them every time with my car going forward. Thank you!Service: Air conditioning

I have taken my vehicles to them for over 20 years! Awesome service every time. They always fix the issue and let me know of any future issues they see. Honest hardworking people. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. Trust is earned and they have earned it and more.

Been here several times to do oil and transmission change, brakes, headlights replacement, and a few other things. Every time they've resolved my issue and have provided great service. Frank is normally your go to guy and is very helpful and knowledgeable. Fair prices and honest assessments. Frankie helped me today with getting the computer system in my car reset after the battery was replaced. He was very friendly and I was in and out quickly, probably quicker than it would have been at the dealership and more reasonably priced too! Thanks Frankie! I'm so grateful for the hardworking folks here!I've lived in Tampa for a few years now and couldn't find anyone I trusted with my car until a friend recommended I check out Pete's. They've now seen me through two cars and several repairs.I started taking my Volvo here, and despite it being a foreign car- the repairs were always very reasonably priced. (I've had people try to quote me over 2x as much as the good people at Pete's have!) I've had to have claims people go to the shop and they've also commented on how helpful and kind the staff were to them as well!But aside from reasonable and fair pricing, I love that I can bring my car here and trust that they will work to resolve the problem in it's entirety. They always make sure to call and update me on the diagnosis BEFORE starting the work and keep my updated on any changes or problems they find. They're also very good about getting back to you once the car's ready!I'm grateful to have found a trustworthy mechanic in Frank and his team. If you're in need of any repairs or service, check these guys out first!

Yesterday my alternator went out and I contacted THREE DIFFERENT FRIENDS + AAA Auto Club to ask who to take my vehicle to. None of them mentioned the GMC dealership which I would have at least expected one to at least recommend. Nope!!! All four people told me to take it Pete s and see Frankie and the crew. It seemed like a sure bet and he offered to do the work at a great price including labor and told me he d have the work finished within a half day. When I say this guy must be Superman, I think he might be Superman. It was ready by 3p. This entire experience easier than getting a car wash. Amazing!!! No dealership on the this planet can do that. I was in and out and back on the road within a flash. They did a superior job! My truck runs like new again. Thanks guys!!! Make that 5 out of 5 stars and 5 out of 5 people including me now!Service: Auto maintenance

I had a situation with Adv Auto who accidentally cracked my daughter's windshield while putting wiper blades on.They sent us to speak with Frank here at Pete's Auto. There was a communication lapse with my daughter and Petes so I called personally and spoke with Frank.Told him I'm 1100 miles away and I need someone I can trust to help my kid. Frank was just a great guy on the call and said no worries I'm taking care of it.Within less than 5 days he had the window ordered and went to my kids place of work and got it done. He kept me aware daily of the progress on the order and gave me a heads up they were installing it 30 mins priorClass act all the way. Great experience and a hell of a guy. I just wish he was up here in NJ. Thanks Frank !!

I cannot say enough good things about Pete's Auto Repair of Tampa. Frank took the time to walk me through everything on my vehicle that was damaged and/or in need of repair. He explained things to me that I didn't understand and I am so appreciative of that! I was blown away by the customer service and compassion that this shop showed me when I thought I may not be able to have my car fixed. Frank really came to my rescue and kept reassuring me that he would have my car up and running ASAP. I'm happy to say that my car is running better than it was before I had this issue. I would recommend Pete's Auto to anyone in need of service. Thanks again, Frank, Junior, Pete and anyone else that worked on my vehicle! You all are the best!!!

I cannot express how happy I am with the service received at Pete's. Frank was amazing, JR was very polite over the phone and the shop did the brake job on my car for less than half of what the dealership charges. I will be taking my car to Pete's from now on. Don't be a fool and let the dealer charge you way more than you have to pay. I got certified GM parts and better service at Pete's. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! PS: Don't be stressed about the appearance of the shop - the quality is what matters most! THANKS GUYS! SEE YOU SOON!

I brought them an accident waiting to happen. A rust bucket. I was very skeptical about where to take my car because I m a woman. I m very grateful I came across this place, they were honest and when they could ve pulled my chain to tell me something I wanted to hear, instead they walked me under my car and showed me everything so I could be knowledgeable, and understand the work they had done. They didn t charge me a dollar over the price they told me after we spoke on the phone, even after having to get extra parts. Frank was awesome to work with and makes me feel confident that I have a new car shop here in Florida.Service: Brakes

If you want your vehicle fixed the correct professional way then this is hands down the best place to go to in all of west Tampa/lower Tampa. Fair pricing and honest work is all that is done there other then great customer service. Don t double think of calling and getting a quote or coming in and talking to them in person I think they seem friendlier when I came in.

I have dealt with a lot of different mechanics in my life and none have been had helpful and efficient as Pete s automotive. I went in with a very big issue and within 5 days they fixed my problem at a reasonable price and in a timely manner to help me even though I had never been a customer before. I can t speak any higher of the people that work there and the quality of work they provided. I recommend them to all of my friends and strongly encourage everyone to go and give them their business if they want quality work, great customer service at a great price!

I was referred to this place by a car care professional who insisted that the garage did great work at solid prices and he was absolutely correct. Service was done on time and they even waited for me as I was late picking up my car.Special shout out to Frank. He is a top notch professional. Battery replacement caused body damage to my Infiniti Q50. Pete's automotive came to the rescue! They provided excellent customer service, towing via flatbed my vehicle to their location, promptly performing the necessary repairs and delivered my vehicle back to me in perfect condition. Hopefully I do not have to deal with paint and body work but if i ever do I will consider Pete's automotive first and would highly recommend Pete's to anyone needing repairs. My Prius gave me the warning lights of death and my dealership is in Pinellas Park (I live in S Tampa) so I was afraid to try driving over the bridge. I googled mechanics in the area and Pete s had the best reviews so I gave them a call. Frank calmed me down and told me to bring the car in. He was able to get me diagnosed the next morning and the car fixed while I was away for a short vacation. Frank explained everything as best he could to a girl who knows zero about cars. I picked my car up a few days later. The cost was reasonable and they were extremely professional and helpful. 10/10, would recommend!!!

I had my daughters car towed in for two bent rims and some other needed maintenance that it needed. Frankie was such a great help, he kept in touch with me thru the whole process and guided me with the best options for the repairs and general maintenance it needed. . They have a new customer for life and I will refer Pete s Automotive to all my friends and family.

Frank and all the staff at Pete's were really nice, didn't overcharge at all, and are following COVID safety protocols really responsibly. They got my car in and out same-day so I could be ready for a road trip. Great experience!

One of the very few honest and trustworthy mechanic shops left in Tampa. Frankie who always takes care of me, is very knowledgeable and proffesional and fixes the problems right the first time. I been a customer for over 20 years. I never had a problem with Pete's work. You can take your car problems there and you can guarantee they will fix them. Absoultely 5 star service!!!

Every vehicle I've owned has been serviced and maintained by Pete and his staff!They are NO FRILLS and NO BS!Straight forward and prompt!I recommend them to everyone that asks me for a mechanic shop.Very down to earth shop and very informative , they do not take advantage of the customer like other shops in the area!A++

These guys were super busy when I showed up with my car. They were more than happy to help. In the end, it wasn't good news for me with regards to my car, when I told them the towing company wouldn't be able to make it there until the next day, the gentleman on the phone, who I believe was Frank, let me know that "It's no problem, we aren't here to take your money, we are here to help people with their car problems." They even moved my car to an area that would be easily accessible for the tow truck. While I am now in the market for a new vehicle, these men were very kind and friendly. Very good experience and I have told all my friends about them. Thank you for being available in my time of need. :)

A co-worker recommended Pete's to me, I needed my rear brakes & hardware replaced. The staff was very courteous, excellent service, and all at a reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend them!
