GOOD, HONEST, HARDWORKING PEOPLE! I have been an owner operator for 7 years and this is THE BEST repair shop that has ever serviced my truck. Recently had major work done and my truck is running great now. They are very knowledgeable and skilled. I trust them. They care about their business, the service they provide and always aim to get you back on the road as soon as possible. I wish nothing but the best for this business and the people who work here.

Trust me when I say I have been to a few shops in Tampa Fl. This shop Florida diesel is on point. When Joe or Jessica or even Andy tell you something. You can take their word to God. Joe s wife and the whole crew are super friendly and professional. You want a fare price and the job done right you will go to Florida diesel. If shop time is your game and you have the money go to other place. They will gladly take it and your truck will stay in the shop. While they continue to take it and part swap until they get it right.

One of the bay areas best diesel mechanics. Knowledgeable, professional, dedicated mechanic that will fix whatever diesel powered vehicle you bring them. Price is fair, but work is excellent, and at the end of the day I am glad I made the decision to visit Florida diesel repair.

I would not recommend Florida Diesel Repair for any work. After giving them multiple chances to correct their poor work I had to reach out to other shops to correct issues with suspension work, basic maintenance work, and small repair work on my diesel. The owner was quick to contradict his own invoicing details and offered no reasonable solutions for the issues his shop caused. Buyer beware.

Rate is a ZERO !! I would not recommend this shop. My initial visit I took my truck to get a sensor changed. They attempted to charge me for a valve cover gasket I declined. When I came to pick my truck up the first thing I was told was your gasket looks perfect and your DPF filter is clogged. My question is how would you know anything about my filter if I only paid you to put a OCP sensor in ? Maybe 30 mins after picking the truck up it cut off and ran worse then it did when I initially brought it in. I called and I was told to bring it back in for them to run a full diagnostic I did. Next day I received a quote of 3300 for a gasket, o-rings, and DPF Filter cleaning. Which was strange to me since I was told my gasket was fine. I told them to proceed with the DPF only. When I inquired about the o-rings couldnt tell me if they were visually leaking only stated he would be able to tell if gasket was changed and 3 more hours of diagnostic was charged. Then I get a call stating my DPF filter could not be cleaned and truck is in derate mode and can not come out unless I get a new filter for 4100 dollars. Mine you the only issue I had when I took my truck there was it taking time to build up oil pressure and a delayed crank. I paid them a total of 1700 for my truck to be in worse condition then what it was when brought it. CROOKS BEWARE will have your truck in worse condition and try to get money playing a game if this is fixed then I'll know and then its another issue. Will be filing a compliant with the BBB as well. I am very competent and please do not insult my intelligence I most certainly understand. What a diagnostic is and that you should be able to tell rather or not a o-ring is leaking from doing a full diagnostic. Money was not the issue but im not going to pay you for doing absolutely nothing. Please explain to me how you knew my DPF filter was clogged if you were only supposed to change the sensor to begin with ? And now 3 injectors are not firing first I have heard of that. Nothing at all was wrong with my valve cover gasket which was stated by your wife in fact she stated it was in perfect condition so why would I pay you for another one ? Unethical mechanic shop that will tamper with your truck to try and get as much money as possible out of you and leave you with more problems then you came with

Been taking my truck here for years. Honest quality work is how my experiences have gone. Another thing I like about this place is the staff for the most part has remained the same they know me and my truck. So if you re in the Tampa and need work done they are the ones to do it. They are also Landstar approved for inspections.

I've been doing business with this company for many years. I highly recommend them for all of your diesel repairs. They are proficient in diagnostics. I always try to make it back to Tampa for any repairs needed because I know it would be done right the first time. I always give Jessica a call ahead of time and she orders my parts before I even arrive. They have a great crew over at Florida diesel repair and will keep your truck on the road.

I've used this shop many times. The latest was for the engine and transmission replacement in my 1999 Peterbilt. As always the price was fair the job was correct and complete and the mechanics and office staff go above and beyond to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner. They're several notches above the other shops I've dealt with in the area.

I am very fortunate to have found Florida Diesel Repair to keep my Kenworth well maintained and safe. Jessica and Sabrina, in the office, are fun to talk with and are very knowledgeable when it comes to scheduling repairs. Andy, Bobby and their crew are monsters at getting the repairs done right and in a timely manner.Joe, the owner, is, like my dad used to say, " the kind of guy you'd like to go fishin' with"Thanks everyone! 5 STARS!

Former Tampa resident. Been taking my Tractor/Trailer to Fl Diesel Repair 10+ years. I m able to stand there in shop and pin point any issues necessary to let shop know all issues without telling them problems. At that point Fl Diesel diagnoses my tractor and calls/e-mails me issues notated with a very close itemized cost. Have never had to take back or stop later to fix any issues I notated or diagnosed afterwards to re-fix. ANYBODY who disagrees with my assessment I challenge you to prove you were even here rather than a shop nearby who is falsely disparaging a trucker friendly repair shop. Fl Diesel has been servicing Landstar O/O s for over 20 years AND Landstar BCO s are the most O/O safe, mechanical trucks on the road.

They will overcharge for anything they put their eye on. I will never go there again. I went in to fix my diesel leaks. They fixed one unit pump leak and there s 5 more. So now they have to do another 3,300$ diagnostic check. I paid 3,300$ still have leaks and my steering wheel still is not fixed. Come off as friendly but they will come up with the biggest invoices you ve ever seen

It is a great feeling when you go to a shop and see the same mechanics with each visit. That says a lot about a place and how they treat there people. I have been going to this shop for years and Jess, Bobby, Andy, and Joe always make me feel welcome. Great place!

Florida diesel repair is very honest and hard working and what they do in this shop is probably the best work around Tampa, Jessica and the staff here are very knowledgeable around the shop and can fix nearly anything wrong with almost any semi truck, very good place to take your truck!

Thank you Florida Diesel Repair! I was visiting in the Tampa area recently and the clutch went out on my 1998 Volvo RV toter. I quickly googled Diesel Repair and Florida Diesel Repair popped up on top, and they were only a couple of miles from my location! Their rating was a 5 Star. So I called; and from the first contact and throughout the entire clutch repair, my experience with Florida Diesel Repair was great! Knowing my situation, they jumped right on the diagnostic procedure and got me a quote and started repair the next day! They were covered up and short staffed, but they worked me right in and got me back on the road as soon as possible! Felt like driving a new truck on the 1100+ mile trip home. Thank you (In order of meeting) Jessica, Angela, Andy and Enrique! Y all are great!

Great group of people, I found them initially when I bought my truck they inspected it for my purchase but I got a warranty that recently ended where I had to go back to the dealership for repairs to be covered but it has now expired so I recently took my truck to Florida Diesel Repair for a couple of issues and we discussed other issues and now my truck runs better than it did when purchased. I always have recommended them after the inspection and will continue to return for all my truck service and repairs.Thanks

I take my truck here every other month. Great service with great people. Honest forward and not jerking you with pricing. Sabrina especially is a great communicator and always makes herself available even on her time off. Much respect to this establishment you can count on them.

If your reading reviews about this shop. Your reading quality reviews about quality mechanics and the ladies who keep everything in check. Called in advance about having the leaf springs replace and I know I was on a tight schedule. They knock it out of the park in such a short time. Definitely a bigger project with additional items needing replace. This is the go to shop to have a miracle pulled off. I know there mechanics hated the long days to pull it off but they did job properly. There only shop I trust.

VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER:We used to use another Diesel Repair shop but was very unhappy with the way they over charged us and repaired things that did not need to be repaired just to up the cost of the invoice. I looked around and I found Florida Diesel Repair in Tampa. Since I have been going there for the last few years, I am extremely happy. I will NEVER go anywhere else but to them. They have always been honest on what needs to be repaired and what should be repaired. From what we were paying and what we pay now, I know that they have never overcharged us for any repair. I would not trust any other company with my vehicles. They are very thorough with their inspections and repairs. I not only use them for our company trucks, but my personal ones too. I highly recommend them to everyone!

I brought my truck in for emissions issues. Particle filter needed to be cleaned badly. Cleared up other faults as well. NO complaints. I think I found my new diesel shop. Next is Diesel force Cleanse in few weeks.

I was introduced to Florida Diesel Repair through Landstar for my 120-day inspections back in 2013. I have been bringing my truck and trailer in for most of the required Landstar 120-day inspections ever since.I have had a few repairs handled here as well. The rates are always reasonable, and they have always been able to get me out and back making money fast!So, this week I needed the Starter replaced on my 2015 Cascadia & it was time once again for a Landstar inspection. I called and spoke with Sabrina to see if they could get to me the next day or two if I dropped off the truck. She checked and assured me they could, so I dropped it off and less than 24 Hrs. latter thanks to Bobby & Andy my truck is starting better than it ever has, and a fresh Landstar inspection was completed!Thanks Again for such awesome service and the quick turnaround time!!

This is officially my go to lifelong shop! Joe and Angie are the owners and they are sweethearts and treat you like family! They are fair priced and honest! What more could you want?? Also the Mechcanic Andy is a good guy! They used to own a fleet of trucks earlier in life n than got rid of them n opened a shop! They know what it's like getting screwed by mechanics which is why they do not do that! :))

Florida Diesel Repair is one of the few honest and trustworthy places to get your truck repaired. They will call you and have you come in and show you the problem. I am so grateful to have them work on my truck. The staff is very knowledgeable from the office personnel (Jessica) to the shop manager (Andy). Thank you all for what you do.
