Dropped my car off for a transmission replacement. They were able to get a used transmission ordered & as far as I can tell the job was done well.However, there was consistent over promise and under deliver on the timeline for delivery (5 extra days). And when I got my car back, all 4 tires were low, a dirty rag was left in my car, the vehicle was left a little bit dirty from the techs, and the gas was so low my signal was on (a had over a tank upon drop off). Lack of attention to detail was disappointing after spending nearly $4,000 on parts and labor. Would look elsewhere for service in the future

Blown away by how horrible this place was to me. They originally told me my car window regulator would be fixed in 4 hrs, however that turned into a week later because they dropped my window. The first time I came to the store to pick it up, they told me to come by and it wasn t ready. So they wasted about 30 minutes of my time driving there and back. Then, when they dropped the car off to me while I was at work, I come back to a scratched up, dirty, unmatched tinted window I then had to bring it back and waste more of my time. No apology or discount was given what so ever when I got the keys back finally 7 days later. Here s some pictures of the great job they did.

I love this mechanic! They have always been so nice and helpful. I am a young female and I have never felt taken advantage of here! When I was shopping for a new car, I made sure they accepted the warranty I purchased because I don't want to go anywhere else.

I had an issue with my van windows that either no one wanted to tackle (they'd referred me to the dealer) or they were obscenely expensive.A&D was on it from the start. Courteous, kept me updated, and HONEST. Yes, honest!I highly recommend them. Their reputation is well earned.

I've been here every time I've had a nail in my tire and they are always the best! Super helpful, they don't charge you unless you absolutely need, cheery/fun staff, and they don't take advantage of you. As a somewhat naive-looking girl who knows very little about automotive stuff, I appreciate that tenfold. This will be my go-to place while I live in Tampa. 10/10!!!

A&D was fantastic! Had to have my daughter's car towed there when it wouldn't start. Every time I have to call , or they called me, they were so polite and understanding of the situation. They even offered their shuttle service to/from UT if she needed! Would recommend this place as a reliable, professional, and honest repair center!

I daily a 88 Jeep Comanche. Needless to say it wasn't always the most reliable. A & D team helped me out with fixing my trucks ailments. I now have ice cold AC and a truck that turns on every time and they also offer a warranty. Speedy and reliable work!

We found this place when my son was a student at U Tampa. This has been our go to spot ever since. Very honest and great work. I would recommend them to anyone.

They're very reasonable honest mechanics. Got work on car, fair price for wheel hub assembly. Took my new car They wernt able to work on my truck but explained what needed to be done. These guys are great.

Fantastic. I have been going there for years and they are always just so wonderful. I moved an hour away and I still go to them for everything that I need. They are super knowledgeable and polite and I cannot sing their praises enough. My tires low pressure light came on before thanksgiving and they filled my rear tires but the light never turned off so I took it back and they filled my tires,turned off the warning light at no cost! I will definitely use this shop again!

Took in my Ford Escape for new brake pads and rotors and tire that needed repair. Customer service was phenomenal, Andrew did a great job of keeping me posted as they worked on it, and it was all completed very quickly. Their prices are great as well!

A&D takes amazing care of our 1990 Toyota motorhome. I always feel bad clogging their tiny lot with our little monster rig but they never give it a second thought and always provide the highest level of service and professionalism. Service and attentiveness we're sure to keep coming back to.

A&D Automotive knows the value of good customer service. I took my car there for the first time today and will not bother with going anywhere else in the future. Dropped my car off and was ready to pick up in no time! Happy to recommend!

Okay! Y all, I can not express my gratitude. I was traveling from out of town when I had something happen that needed to be fixed before I left back for WI. Not only did they fit me in to work on it the same day, they also fixed it the same day. Tony, Patrick and the staff was great and communicated with me throughout the whole process.I will be recommending them to anyone in the Tampa area along with returning should I ever need service again down here.10/5 stars from me.

They are the best. From the top down with the owner Tony to the Managers to any staff you encounter. They are friendly, fast, and fair. They will educate you on your issue and lay out your options and will always be cheaper than the dealership. They truly care about their customers which is why they have been so successful. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Staff at A&D always get it right. They know I like to see what s really going on with my car, so they keep me involved and actually show me my car while they diagnose any issues I m having. To put the cherry on top, their prices outcompete any mechanic you ll find in the area. They re fast, and usually get car parts same day or within 24 hours. Shuttle service also really came in handy for me. Parking might be a little crazy, but I won t take my focus anywhere else.

A&D has the best customer service! I brought in my 2007 FJ Cruiser to have a major overhaul of the front end, but after taking the vehicle I had an issues with one of the CV axels that were installed (continual squeaking noise). I brought my SUV back to them and within just a few hours they replaced the part (A&D stands behind their warranty with no questions asked!) and inspected the rest of the vehicle to insure everything was to spec! David is an amazing mechanic and he was very patient and courteous while I explained the symptoms of the noises coming from the front end. I have full confidence in this shop and it s mechanics! Thank you A&D!

Super nice owner and employees! Very helpful. They fixed the overheating issue my car had and the owner even dropped me off at a car rental place, so I could get a rental car while my car was being fixed

Super quick and great service! I had my alternator replaced the same day I dropped my car off. Unfortunately, the new alternator was bad and they replaced it just as quickly as before. All of staff went above and beyond to help me as much as they could. I will definitely be back if my car needs anything else in the future!Service: BatteryService: Battery

Cliche opening: I never really leave reviews.My engine went out so I had it towed here. The service provided was so impressive that my dad in Alabama wanted to call to thank them lol the engine replacement was going to be around $6k when it was all said and done. Instead of convincing me to purchase the engine repair, he told me he wasn't worth the replacement. It was also no charge for them to look at it and they worked with my tow truck driver. I know I didn't actually receive work on the car, but once I have a new car, this is where I'll be taking it. I think I got a chance to speak to just about everyone in the garage and they were all very friendly as well. Definitely take your vehicle hereService: Engine repair

10/10 can recommend! My catalytic converter had been stolen overnight, and I had to have my car back for the next morning. Tony fit my car in, replaced the converter and an O2 sensor, got it all done in one day and even picked me up and drove me back to his shop! I haven t ever had such exceptional service from an automotive center before. I would absolutely go back!

If you need car work done, go to A & D Automotive in Tampa. They are hands down the BEST!I needed a lot stuff done on my car. Firestone said they couldn t do it. Recommended the dealership who quoted me at $4000. Finally got fed up and talked to Tony about driving mg car to him. He quoted me at $3100.They held on to it (even after they d finished working on it) for me while I was in California for the holidays. PLUS they ended up doing the whole thing for $2700.They are easy to talk to.They are easy to work with.And my car always runs like a champ after seeing them.

My car had a check engine light come on and it was shaking like crazy in the middle of my road trip but still had another 1300 miles to drive to get back home. Called A&D right at open, they were super helpful to get my car in right away and take a look at it. I explained what I was experiencing upon drop off to which the garage had an on point idea of what it might be. He ended up having it all repaired just a few hours later, after he had of course confirmed what he had already predicted. They were incredibly nice, quick with service, and a very reasonable price. If I lived in Tampa, I would be bringing all my car troubles here. Kudos to your amazing business!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I have used A&D off and on for years. They are not located very close to me, but have always been fair, top-notch, and well priced for years. I have even referred others to them. Yet, I have finally experienced a different service from them this last time and will most likely try to find another go-to establishment. I had my car towed from another shop to A&D to have my radiator fixed as their pricing was reasonable and they generally do good work. Once I picked it up, the check engine light came on on my way back to my house. I called to understand what occurred. The person who drove my car and assured me all was well told me he assumed I knew the check engine light was on before as it was on when the car arrived from being towed. It was not on to my knowledge when the car was towed. My car overheated and the radiator was the culprit with no check engine light. Maybe the radiator failure caused another issue, but he did not mention anything about the check engine light when I picked up the car and told me everything was good to go. He later told me (after I called back once areiving home) he cleared the codes and thought they wouldn't come back on. Well, they did within 30 minutes of me driving away. Yes, I did come to the shop to have my radiator fixed which may not be related to a check engine light; but, at a minimum, a customer should be informed that a check engine light was on and provided information on why at check out and allow me to decide instead of having a customer pick up their car, not know of a potential issue, and the customer has to call back to inquire. I definitely do not want to be overcharged for something (as some places do), but I do want to be alerted of a potential issue. So, now, on to a new go-to location. Bummed I can no longer give them perfect stars.

Super honest, very fast, and thorough. Had a great experience getting a few issues checked out/diagnosed on my Camaro. Super smooth from start to finish and didn t feel like I was being sold on anything, either. If I ever have any car problems in the future, this will be the first place I go to. Thank you guys!
