I went into Island Automotive recently after my car s dash lights came on and there were wafts of gasoline that could be smelled from inside the car. I got the car back, but it wasn t long before I realized that we hadn t solved the problem. I called them back and they told me to go ahead and bring the car back in. Sure enough, they found the real culprit that time, and the turn around time for getting it fixed was relatively quick. Bernadette even saved the piece that was damaged to show me what they d found. I m so thankful they were willing and able to take that second look with relatively short notice.

Bernadette is first person you meet. Patient and accommodating and interested in what we need. It only gets better after. Wish I would have found this place years ago. But I do now! Thank you to all the staff and especially Miss Bernadette. Your smile makes my day.

Took my car here for the first time after a recommendation from a friend. Bernadette at the desk was super helpful and friendly, and was able to get me in quickly. I was stunned at how inexpensive it was to get my car fixed. Will definitely go back there again next time I have car issues.

What can I say .we had the oops .they did again for us ..lol.. reliable honest mechanics !! great people trustworthy and pros and of course we can't forget the "boss lady Bernadette" who keeps them busy and keeps everything friendly courteous and keeps you informed ... Hate when a car or truck breaks down but love when you can bring it to a place you can trust. Well that's island automotive..

I can not say enough about Island Automotive. My check engine light would come occasionally then go out on it's own so I made an appointment to fix the issue. They found it was the fuel filter tube causing the problem. They could of replaced the part however, they went the extra mile and found out it needed to be cleaned. They could of replaced it and charged me for a new part & labor but the took the time to clean it and sent me on my merry way. It is so heartwarming to find down to earth, hard working, honest people who are not out there to make a fast buck. I will definitely be telling everyone who needs a mechanic to go to Island Automotive. Thank you.

We have used Island Automotives services for years you won t find a more thorough, honest, reasonably priced or professional shop around. They ve resolved every issue we ve ever had and even though we ve always said we weren t worried about how long they had our vehicles, they ve always called us sooner than expected telling us it was ready. Glenn is a great mechanic, as are all the others there. They are kind and always trustworthy. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Horrible customer service, they are very rude! & Try to make you pay a lot of money! The owner allows his employee to talk however they want to customers saying rude stuff, what kind of place is ran like this?

We just moved to Sebastian from SC and needed my Jeep repaired. Island Auto was the most recommended place to us by our neighbors and the Sebastian group on Facebook. They fixed the problem with my Jeep and didn t charge an arm and leg to do so. They are honest and reliable. We highly recommend Island Auto!! My Jeep was fixed way earlier than anticipated. Great place for repair work or just an oil change!!! Really nice people and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be back!! Bernadette was super friendly and they the guys were so nice and friendly as well. Thank island automotive!!

Went with this shop for the reviews and even though I ended up taking it elsewhere I would absolutely recommend this place.Brought in my jeep to have a leak looked at and they were able to get it in on short notice. They let me know I would be better taking it to a transmission shop, gave me the information I needed to pass on and gave a recommendation that was equally as quick and friendly. Amazingly honest and accommodating. Thank you!!!

On our way home from camping at Sebastian Inlet State Park, our pick-up developed a mechanical failure. Stranded 190 miles from home, we searched online for a mechanic that looked trustworthy and could take our vehicle right away. With luck we hit on Island Automotive and had the truck towed by AAA( if you don t have this service believe me you need it!). It was late on a Monday afternoon so we were told they would look at it first thing the next day. True to their word, they did, found the problem and had us on our way home the next morning. Good service and honest mechanics. We were imagining something huge and pricy but a crankshaft sensor was the culprit and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend this auto shop if your in need.

The service was excellent. Mechanics very knowledgeable , competent and friendly. They did not hesitate to answer my questions. Asked for an estimate up front and they were accommodating. The A/C repairs I had done were labor intensive and the price was very fair and reasonable. Would not hesitate to recommend them and also have any other repairs done there.DOMServices: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

Passing through and had an axel/u-joint problem with Jeep. (1100 miles from home and no tools) they worked me in and were able to get the parts the next day to get me on the road. They also dropped me off and picked me up from our campsite. Not a lot of service like that anymore. Thanks for all the help and honesty.

I went here based on the reviews and was not disappointed. They were fast, friendly, reasonably priced and HONEST! My wife's van wasn't blowing cold AC, turns out it was a $5 valve, they easily could told me it was a $100 part. Can't find honestly like that anymore!

Took Wifes car here for general repairs and a concern of a vibration when accelerating. After Guessing and installing 3 thousand dollars worth of parts and labor on the car this issue still is present, As is problems with the new parts that were installed. Upon bringing the car back in recently for the 4th time for clunking swaybar links that were replaced we were told its just a cheap car , what do you expect ?? It is not a high end vehicle by any means ,but we did purchase it new in 2014 and have not had any issues until now that any other car would have . What kind of people make excuses that , Oh its form up north ( So are the people at this shop) or tell you its just a cheap car ?? I spent over 3 thousand dollars here for their incompetence, Shade tree mechanics at best. Every car they work on is an older model lower end car, So i can can only imagine that they use these excuses for everything they cant fix. They did do ok on my vehicle as it was only a minor parts change out that i requested. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP.

I got quotes from 4 different places and Island Automotive had the best price by far. Two of the other places I checked were charging two and almost three times as much for the same work. ($135-$350) You won't see it off the main road so you will have to make a point to go here but it will be worth it. While they were working on my car they gave me a ride home and offered to pick me up when it was done. Great service, definitely will return.

Although they were booked solid and my emergency was a last minute request, they accommodated me and allowed me to drop my car off. They efficiently diagnosed it as a bad battery and replaced it at an extremely reasonable price. I trust them with all of my auto repair needs!

SAVED ME THOUSANDS! They give great service at reasonable prices, I would highly recommend to anyone. I have taken 3 different cars here and they have done everything from oil changes, brakes, tires and few other services quickly and at a fair price. Honest mechanics are worth their weight in gold.

Blew a serpentine belt on my caddy, got it dropped off at 4, they had it repaired by 9 am the next day at a very reasonable price. Very honest and good work.

I am new to this area and asked around for a shop to repair my daughter's vehicle. Island Automotive came highly recommended, and every word people spoke of them is true. Great team! This is the first time I've left my car in an auto repair shop and walked away feeling at ease. As a single mother with very little knowledge of car repair, that's not easy. My daughter's A/C is operational once again just in time for the Florida heat. Very pleased!
