I had to go 45 miles north of my town just to find a reputable business that could get my car in for an estimate in a timely manner due to a backup of everyone in the southwest area that are still trying to do repairs on auto bodies that were damaged during Hurricane Ian. And this is almost 14 months after the hurricane. Ed at Maaco in Sarasota was kind, courteous and professional and was able to do my estimate and repair faster than I could even get scheduled for an estimate anywhere in my area. So I was more than happy to take my car 45 miles north for the repairs. They did a great job and it was ready when he said it would be. I'm a happy customer!

Maaco painted my FJ cruiser. Did a complete color change. Came out great! Work was finished within 2 weeks. Make sure to do your research ahead of time to ask questions. They will be more than glad to answer them for you.

Very nice job on a 2003 avalon. Looks like a new car! With only 128k miles on it that paint job should really help protect it as it continues to transform into a fine wine. Thanks guys!

I took my Bentley GT to have my front and rear bumper, side mirror and dent in the passenger door repaired and painted. They did an excellent job!! I had previously taken my car to three different body shops for estimates and felt they were overpriced, not to mention the schedule and turn around time would have been over a month. I am so glad I chose Maaco. Edmundo was great to work with!! He got me scheduled and the car was completed all within one week at half the price of the other body shops!!The paint was a perfect match!! I went over all the repaired areas trying to find any imperfections and I was so impressed with their professional workmanship!!I would like to thank the crew at Maaco for getting my car back to showroom shape!!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Paint didn't match, dent was still visible..Second try, paint match was worse.Third try, paint match better, could still see a little difference. Overspray everywhere, rubber molding on rear passenger window has paint on it, going to have to have whole truck detailed.Interior had dust all over drivers side, didn't clean.This is a 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie, do not take a vehicle there unless you don't care how it turns out !Service: Painting

I gave them a 1 star cause there isn t anything less to give To start, let me say I am a 73 yr old handicapped senior, who previously dealt with MAACO of New Port Richey ..and because of the great service I got,I went to the MAACO in Sarasota .( since I moved in that area) I have never had a worse experience in any business that I have ever done business with! I took my vehicle in for front end replacement and painting. The first thing I did ( doing due diligence) was contact the NPR location in order to secure the correct paint code. From the beginning the manager/ owner ,Edmundo Lacayo, knew that not long before it had been painted by the NPR LOCATION. And now he has the proper paint code from that paint job there. .After holding my vehicle for 12 weeks and me calling every other week to check on the status, only to hear they didn t have the right parts or they couldn t put it together( funny how they hadNo problem charging me for the parts from the beginning)I was finally notified that it was ready. As soon as I pulled onto the lot it was obvious that the paint did not match. The manager says to me that he took the code off the door and i reminded him that I gave him the proper paint code BEFORE he started My repairs in front of other customers he called Me a Liar i told him I would not accept the vehicle til it was all one color! I called and talked to a couple regional people with MAACO only to hear that they couldn t or wouldn t do .they couldn t do anything because each location is independently owned and operated . they actually were NO HELP ATALL! the manager said he would blend the paints to be a closer match! I never agreed to the blending but I needed my vehicle so I went and picked it up .in the process the manager tells me the price is now $250 higher than on the original invoice ..and he would only accept only cash ( please note my original Down payment was by credit card and I have a credit score of over 800( so it was an insult that he wanted cash), quite frankly that sounded a bit suspect in itself but i finally took him a bank check and took my vehicle .it still is not acceptable but i needed my vehicle so I paid the original invoice balance and refused to pay a cent more .and picked up my vehicle. He also threatened to charge me $30 a day storage and would sell the vehicle at action if I didn t pay and pick it up! Granted I am a senior living on a fixed income I would not recommend this MAACO to anyone and I wouldn t have them paint a little red wagon for me again! My disappointment lies not only with this location but also with their regional office in Charlotte .they admitted that they have No control over what each independently owned location does ..i guess basically you can buy a MAACO sign and it doesn t me anything .so their new motto should be .. OH NO DON T USE MAACO in closing, the owner operator in Sarasota told me to do what I want that his business is so good because of the recent hurricane that he doesn t care what i do picket, go to court, whatever!! ! It is really a .sadState Of affairs when a nationally recognized company doesn t give a damn about individual customers and the way they are treated!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Very friendly employees, I had really old paint with surface rust and they were able to sand the whole car, and put base and clear, and also help paint bumpers, door handles, and even an after market spoiler black, the tape work was perfect and for half of what other shops quoted. Only wish I had come here sooner. Thank you Maaco. I love my car again.

After conversation the manager Edwardo, he has refunded $500 to cover the cost of "Clean Up and some replacement parts" The owner Ed was extremely apologetic and kind, and seemed genuinely disappointed in my results, and offered to "Take Care" of me in any further projects as well. I consider the matter closed. I have increased my rating to 3 stars.On Sat 03-27-21 at 9am sharp, I visited the North Washington Blvd MAACO Auto Painting location here in Sarasota. I was eventually greeted by "Grant" a manager. I explained had recently purchased an older 1997 Dodge Ram 1500, and was fixing it up for my eldest son. Grant went around the truck, pointed out 1 or 2 things, and we went in to go through the menu sale. After 15 min, I had agreed to upgraded paint, stripping or roof and hood, and extra sanding, and was quoted $1,856.43 and scheduled the truck for drop off the following Saturday, 04-03-21. Promptly 9am 04-03-21 I dropped off the truck, Grant took the keys as I asked a time frame? Grant explained he had 1 or 2 staff out due to Covid 19 scares, but approx. 2 weeks, I agreed and left.On 04-15-21 approx. 2 weeks later, having heard nothing I called their office, and Grant explained it was still in the "Sanding process" , and said probably ready the following Tues or Wed 04-20-21 OR 04-21-21. Tue & Wed came and went, NO call from the store, so Friday 04-23-21 I called again, Grant again explained they were still behind, and that there was a lot of sanding to be done, no apology and it was probably be the next Tues or Wed 27th or 28th. Tues and Wed came and went, still no call from the store. On Friday 04-30-21 I called the store in the hope that it might be ready. This time, Ed, another manager answered the call; I explained who I was and my vehicle. I was put on hold for 5 min, then Ed say s, "Oh yes your truck is going into the sanding department today" , a brief silence followed as I was extremely disappointed, thou without saying something I would regret other than, Really? Grant had told me it was in "Sanding" for 3 weeks ? , Only for Ed to reply, NO Grant wouldn't have said that, there's NO way he would have said that? I hung up in disgust.Monday May 3rd (ONE MONTH), a friend from the Sarasota City planning dept went by the yard to see my truck. STILL UNTOUCHED IN YARD! Again on Wed May 5th, finally to see it was in the "Sanding dept 5 wks later.I finally got a call 04-11-21(1st Call Wk6) it's ready. I rearranged my work schedule and at 4.30 I arrived to find entire truck covered in over spray and dust throughout the vehicle, inside, under the hood, trim painted, new tail & head lights and handles painted, wheels and tires covered in dust and over spray. I was Fit to be tied absolutely fuming, but I just wanted to get out of there as soon as I could. No one in the office had to go find them, fixing another vehicle in the parking lot while other clients stood around waiting. No one walked around it with me, pretty much ignored by all. I paid and got my keys, only to find the vehicle wouldn t start, and the interior lights had been left on, and basically the truck had been neglected for 6 weeks, I had to go back in and ask for a jump. I left disgusted and heart broken. Never again. Hopefully Edmundo Lacayo, Principle Owner will make things right?Service: Painting

I didn't have any experience with Maaco so I hesitated at first to reach out to them when I needed body work for my car. I'm particular about my car so entrusting my vehicle to just anybody isn't something I do readily.I am totally satisfied with the work done. I had no problem scheduling an appointment. They gave me an estimate and a timeline and they delivered on all fronts. The quality of work was excellent as was the service received.I dealt with both Ed and Grant and both are professional, honest and reliable. I won't hesitate to have my car serviced with MAACO in the future. Five Stars

Incredibly happy with their work! Honest, reasonable, and work was completed quickly which saved me money on my rental car. Highly recommend Maaco for anyone who needs body work!

Had a great experience with Grant and his team, from bringing in my car for an estimate, until out the door after the work was done. Everyone was very friendly, took time to explain the different packages and what was going to be done. Body work and paint job definitely above expectations. Absolute great job, very happy. These guys are terrific. Any collision shop currently is three months plus wait just to get in. Maaco on 301 was under a month and the job performed was terrific. Not to mention, in my case, extremely quick. All the staff deserve a pat on the back.Paint and body work is a very under appreciated trade. And the work load on the industry now is immense. Thanks again!

AWESOME A++++ job! So great to work with and I am one HAPPY CAMPER! Truck looks Brand Spanking NEW! Ed/Mgr ROCKS! So helpful and I would def go back again. I can't say enough. They quoted me, did job in time frame they said, and when I picked up was a SMILE on my face! Thank you Ed and thank you Grant as well. Any future jobs I'll be seeing you. I've had them to do body work for me several times and every time it's not good work. They replaced my front headlight not even a year ago now it's full of water.. I also had them to replace my grill and monts later it fell off.. will never go back there

Nothing but a terrible experience. Not to mention when picked up entire truck was full of greasy fingerprints including area just painted, was told there was nothing that could be done, thankfully one of the employees got a towel and cleaner and wiped down what manager said would not come off with out even looking at vehicle. I wouldn't recommend this establishment, one half star. Many other problems too long to list , I'm done with them. Won't use again.

So I called prior the day before about an estimate on my back bumper. The gentleman that answer the phone ( Grant) greeted me and was very knowledgeable about their service that they provided. He then inform me to come in so that they can get a better look at my car, and make a final decision on what will be needed. I came in today as I were asked.I was greeted immediately with a warm, smile. then he (Grant) proceeded to service my car immediately by walking out to my car, assessing the situation, giving me obtainable information, on what would be the next steps, estimated, time and process for everything. needless to say my car got service within 30 minutes Without any interruptions.I must say the service that I received today were superb on every level. I walked away as a happy, confident customer.Thank you Maaco ( Grant ) for providing me the best customer experience that I have had in a very long time. The car had been in 2 minor collisions but the body damage would cost over $3,000. I got estimates from 3 other shops and Macao was MUCH less expensive and did a perfect job! This was an excellent experience in every way. Estimator Shaun Waters was friendly and professional and patiently answered all my questions at our first meeting and after the completed paint job. The Manager, Ed Lacayo, (who is also bilingual in English & Spanish!) was also extremely courteous, professional and responsible and made sure that every detail was taken care of to my satisfaction when I picked up the car. At my request they also took out a few dings and scratches and applied their top paint job which makes this 2003 Sebring Convertible look brand new!!! I couldn't be happier. Thanks to you & your team for your excellent work!
