New to Sarasota. Took my 2020 Mustang GT to A-Z after some recommendations. Super impressed! Great service, fast, and at a good price. Those 3 things don t typically go together. And they fixed a rattle issue that a dealership had failed to figure out on 3 separate occasions. BMW X-3 mirror repair. Another service repair shop had told me it would take days and cost over 1000.00 to repair. Send out shell to be repainted etc. They used me existing shell / cover, found the part online and turned my car around in 3-4 hours for 550.00 and it is perfect! They did this months ago, maybe in May, and I have been meaning to give them the review they deserve. I'll be back for my next items - touch ups etc for sure. Absolutely awesome repair service. I had an issue with my truck which was plaguing me for days. Don made sure I got it fixed fully and called to ensure I was satisfied with the repair work. Highly recommend A-Z!

I highly recommend using A to Z Auto Repair for any vehicle issue you may have. The owners & staff are friendly, quick, and will take the time to properly explain what's going on to make sure you leave happy and fully aware of what work is needed or has been done. This is a place I will stay loyal to for years. A very special thank you to the owners wife, as she was short staffed the day I went in and her husband was out sick. Super nice, they inspected my car for a vibration that seemed to be from drivetrain, did not charge and referred me to a transmission repair specialist (Barbic s Transmission Repair), since they don t do transmissions at A-Z.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Don and his team did a fantastic job on my Jeep Wrangler. I was having a high temperature guage (no warning light) and i contacted him described the symptom and brought it in. He had it fixed and running great the next day. Although i am only visiting the tampa area, I would recommend A to Z for any repair. Hands down best experience I have had with any kind of mechanic. From the time we had our truck towed to the shop to picking it up we experienced such great service. They are fair and kind and don't try to sell you in any type of service you don't genuinely need. All of the work we had done is also under warrant for a year. I will definitely be using them for any kind of auto services moving forward! Thank you, Debbie and the team for being so kind and getting my husband back in his truck

I had some bad news from Honda who said I needed pistons replaced - which meant my engine had to be broken down to reach, plus a whole laundry list of other items. I called A-Z to see if they could help. Spoke with Don who said they couldn t do the pistons but if there was anything else, they would be happy to help. After calling around to many other repair shops, I called back to make an appointment. Sadly, I thought I called A-Z but actually had misdialed and got another shop without realizing it. Monday morning I showed up at A-Z only to discover they did not have my appointment scheduled . But they worked me in anyway!!! Their amazing customer service and willingness to work with a first time customer really was a great surprise. Good mechanics, they did a great job. Not intimidated by obnoxious, fiddly German engineering. Reasonably priced. Recommended.Times are tough, everyone is squeezing pennies as much as they can. Make sure to research and get second opinions wherever you go. There's "would be nice to have" and then there's pragmatism. You should know which is which and which one is right for you.

I ve recently moved to Florida and was in need of a mechanic. I gave a quick call to A-Z Auto Repair and they took me right in without hesitation. The owner Don is extremely friendly and appreciative of every customer who walks through his door. Definitely looking forward to giving him more business in the near future!

We are another couple having recently moved to Florida from Colorado. We had immediate mechanical needs for once of our vehicles. As is my way I went online and search through reviews and locations and certainly A-Z came out on top of our search. Truth- Don and Deb not only without hesitation had us come in at our earliest convenience but provided service and care beyond most any we've experienced. The communication and distinct way they provided for the needs and cost equally were beyond expectations. Trust- our cars only know one direction to go for their needs. Don & Debbie are two of the most genuine people you will ever meet. They repair all of our work vans and I personally take all my vehicles to them. They really do their best to make sure the customer is happy. The most important thing is honesty. They will tell you if its broken and tell you if its NOT broken. I cant say enough about A-Z Auto, I could hang out all day with these guys because they are that kind of people!! What an amazing team Don, Debbie & their technicians are.Super friendly to us three and especially caring with our 3 yr old son.Our SUV needed the timing belt replaced and they had it ready as scheduled along with the oil change in our second car.I would also like to add that Don is extremely detailed and took his time to explain the process and showed me the old water pump and belt afterwards - I m grateful that he put on an upgraded pump.We highly recommend them!Service: Engine repair

I took my truck to the dealership this morning to diagnose why the fan under the hood would intermittently run hard. I was floored by the quote they had given me to replace my water pump and perform a coolant flush, especially after speaking with mechanic and mechanically inclined friends and family. Contacted A-Z Auto Repair for a quote and I'm so happy I did! They quoted me less than half of what the dealership had and took my truck in the same day and got me taken care of. Additionally, they let me know that 2 of my belts should be replaced and it would save money doing it now rather than later (of course, the dealership failed to mention this as well). Thank you to Debra and the rest of the staff at A-Z for getting me taken care of so quickly and efficiently! I've found my new mechanic in Sarasota! If you're looking for an honest, reliable shop in the area - look no further! Great communication, great service, great prices!

Just like the other reviews said, they treat you right. The owner got me in for an oil change same day. They also do a safety inspection...They didn't find anything note worthy on my 2002 jeep Cherokee which surprised me. I also really enjoyed talking with the owner Don. They are very friendly and personable. I fully recommend going here.

Just moved to Sarasota and needed a lot of work on my SUV. Both Debbie and Don at A-Z auto were great customer service people. Best of all it was the first time I ever had anyone call back several days later to make sure I was satisfied with the work done. Very happy with the work done, the professionalism and very nice people to work with.

A-Z Auto Repair, the owners, Don & Deb, are the best thing that's happened to me since I moved to this area 2 years ago! They provide a really sincere care for their customers plus, go beyond maintaining or fixing your vehicle. They treat you more like family than a customer and they ONLY do the work that's needed. The bonus is, if they can't do it, they recommend the best who can! I consider myself very fortunate to have experienced their expertise, professionalism and their authentic caring for their customers needs. Let's face it, trying to find an auto repair shop that says exactly what they can and can't do plus, goes the extra miles to make a difference in getting your vehicle in tip-top condition, more than reasonable in their fees...You don't need to look further than here! I've been going to A-Z sporadically for the last 2.5 years. The service has always been very honest and reasonably priced. Jim I believe is his name, he normally answers the phone and helps with pricing. Nothing I love more then a warm friendly voice on the other end of the line. As a woman and daughter of a mechanic, I appreciate that I'm not taken advantage of and things are explained in an informative manner and not patronizing. Yes that has happened since having moved to Florida. So I highly recommend A-Z auto repair they also gave me a great referral when I had body work to be done on my Pilot.

I have had several of my vehicles (Honda Odyssey, Lexus GS and Mazda 6) serviced here and the quality and care provided by Don and Debbie is awesome. The mechanics are thorough and do the work as promised. They are great people providing an honest and straightforward approach to serving their clients automotive service needs. I have recommened A-Z to a dozen or more of my family and friends and will continue to do so.

I had my 2013 Smart Car here to replace a pulley and 2 belts. The car would not turn over but it would crank. After they replaced the pulley and belts it still would not start but would still crank. I paid for a second diagnosis for them to find out why the motor would not the turn over. They said it threw a code stating a major compression issue. They then called me and said I had to take it to the Mercedes dealer for further work. We had it towed to the Mercedes dealer and within 4 hours we were notified that the engine had lost compression due to either a cracked head or piston. Personally I would think any mechanic would be able to tell with two diagnostic, cranking the engine and knowing all belts and pulleys were operable that engine was blown. Needless to say I am very unhappy with the amount of money I was charged for the diagnostic (that they couldn t identify). I think common sense would have come into play somewhere.They are a very nice family owned company. I just wanted to let everyone know of my not great experience.

I recently moved to Sarasota and A-Z Auto Repair was recommended to me. I am so glad they were because when my starter failed, they provided excellent, timely and friendly service! I will definitely be having them take care of any future car repairs.
