Robert went out of his way to help me figure out what was wrong with my vehicle, patiently teaching me the diagnostics surrounding my car "pulling" issue as we test drove and did a few other tests to reach that end. In the end, it was determined to be an alignment, which he doesn't do so recommended a reliable place down the road. Overall, would absolutely use him if the need arises and highly recommend him as an honest and super knowledgeable mechanic. Thanks again

I had them replace the hood on my Mustang with an after market hood. They were very easy to deal with and did very good work. The hood looked great when they were done.The hood did not come with weather stripping, which should have come in the kit. When I got up to freeway speeds, the hood started to buffet. I talked with the company that made the hood, they confirmed that it needed the weather stripping to prevent the hood from shaking.Oviedo Auto Repair still had my old hood, and was able to take off the old weather stripping, and install it on the new hood. They also made some minor adjustments to help stop the hood from buffeting. They did these adjustments free of charge. I have yet to get back on the freeway... but this level of service was outstanding and unexpected these days. They really stand behind their work, even when it was the hood company that did not include the parts.Service: Body & Trim

The owner Robert and his daughter Becky have a wonderful personality and are very honest. They treated me like family. Robert is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to do a thorough inspection of the vehicle. He clearly explains what is happening, provides pictures and shows the replaced parts. Robert s attention to the details is absolutely amazing. Robert works on a vehicle as if he opened the car. The services and repairs by Oviedo Auto Repair are very affordable and done right the first time.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

If I could give it a minus I would. We didn t get car fixed there but that was our drop off location for Uhaul the woman was mean and threatened us to get the Uhaul off her lot or she would tow at our expense. Nice way to talk to a paying customer. I notified Uhaul who will handle that. But she was rude and crude. Nice to know after driving almost 1100 miles in a Uhaul your first Florida encounter is with a nasty mean woman.

Uhaul:I went to rent a Uhaul truck at this location and that was my first mistake. I walked into the building and saw that no one was there to assist me, so I asked a customer and he told me that the employee was the one outside wearing a bandana. When it was my turn, I approached him and told him that I was there to pickup my truck. I showed him the Uhaul confirmation and he informed me that I "messed it up" and that he now had to cancel the contract and re-do it for me. I was not only confused, but appalled at the fact that I wasn't going to be able to rent the truck that I had already checked-in online, verified, approved and paid for. The truck itself was actually available on the lot (since Uhaul literally asks you to first verify that the truck is in the parking lot). Using the 24/7 Uhaul service is apparently not "24/7" in his mind, he proceeded to tell me that I did everything wrong. He apparently also looked for the key but couldn't find it and then proceeded to tell me how it was my fault. Not just that, but he also told me to go and look on his behalf for the key which is absurd to ever tell a customer to do. He then says that he cancelled my contract and then told me that he was the best in the state of florida. He told me that if I wanted to call Uhaul customer service, I would be on the line for 2 hours and that I wouldn't be able to find anything on a Saturday morning. He then proceeded to take care of other customers right in front of my face which was extremely unprofessional of him to do. He tried to then tell me he could try to "see what he can do" and to wait for him to do that. I was already beyond skeptical and sketched out at the fact that he didn't accept my reservation. Regardless, I ended up calling Uhaul customer service and got answered in about 2 minutes and got another truck at a better location in an hour. DO NOT rent here, its most definitely not a good location to do so.

Robert is one of the best mechanics around! Hands down. I have brought several vehicles to Robert, who can diagnose something wrong that dealerships and others fail to recognize what the simple fix may be, and try to over diagnose and over sell. Not Robert! He will start with the simple things and save you thousands. He s honest, reliable and his workmanship is impeccable. I stopped here cause my car had a freon leak and I couldn't find it. Explained to the guy what was wrong and only needed him to shine a special light to see were the freon leaked cause I had a die pack in the system and the guy got smart with me then gone say I need to make an appointment and that he's got other people to attend to even though I was the only one there and only needed five minutes. Very unprofessional and he doesn't even wear a shirt in what's supposed to be a professional work place don't waste your time go somewhere else.

Great place to rent a U-Haul trailer! Quick and easy, got us hooked up and ready to go in no time. It was my first time renting a U-Haul so I was a little nervous but they made it super easy.

Bob has decades of very valuable automotive repair experience. Bob did a fantastic job first understanding and then repairing my brake issue. Bob and l drove around in my car until Bob could experience first hand my intermittent brake problem. Many thanks again Bob!!!!

Bringing my car here was the best and easiest experience I've ever had with a mechanic. He immediately knew what was wrong with my car based on my explanation and 10 seconds of driving, thoroughly explained the problem and what needed to be done, and handled it in just over a day. I was wary about using a non-dealer mechanic but my car and I were well taken care of. Quick, effective, pretty cheap, and good people working there. I'd definitely recommend Oviedo Auto Repair and will be bringing my car there next time!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Picked up a Uhaul yesterday. The place is no-nonsense, which I like. Answer their questions correctly the first time and without delay and there won t be any issues. Loved seeing all the USMC material in the shop. Semper Fi!!! God bless.

We rented a Uhaul from here and had some trouble with the hookup. The owner helped us out and everything was smooth from there! Very helpful and great service

I wanted to leave a review, because this is honestly the most professional, honest, mechanic I have ever worked with. I brought my Chevrolet Caprice in a couple years ago, because the transmission was slipping and having issues. I know I'm a stubborn man to be driving such an old used police car, especially when it's 20 years old, but it was my first car, and it means a lot to me, there's a lot of memories traveling with this car. Fearing the worst, especially after AAMCO wanted like 5 thousand dollars to repair it, Oviedo Auto Repair was very honest in their price, and was literally 1/4 the cost (I think it was even less!). This gave me enough money to still afford a rental so I could get to work. In literally less than 1 week, my transmission was completely rebuilt.Couple years later, this transmission still runs like a champ, better than it ever has. I will always highly recommend this shop.There was another review, where someone wasn't even a customer, but claimed he did other repairs without approval. I can understand the frustration, but there are indeed times where another repair may need to be done. In my case, my rear main seal was bad, and I find it good of Oviedo Auto Repair to fix that while the transmission is removed, rather than put the transmission back in the car, with a rear main seal that is going to spill oil all over it. It is good honesty like that, that makes them the best in my opinion!

Charged me $200 which I was happy to pay but issue was broken again the following day - he referred me to another mechanic who was going to charge me even more AFTER I was told the mechanic will source the leak for free since he did not fix. No refund or discount given. On top of that, mechanic accidentally took a piece from the car and his daughter (receptionist) was extremely rude over the phone AND when we arrived to pick it up. If you have a newer car, do not bring it here. Waste of money and timeServices: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

Whether it s auto repair or Uhaul rental needs, Oviedo Auto Repair is a great, family owned, business that will take care of you. The owner, Robert, is HONEST and upfront. He s an ASE Cert Master Mechanic and has owned and operated his business for over 30 years. He s serviced all 3 of my vehicles, including my family and friend s cars too. His work is thorough and precise, and his prices are fair and usually better than other businesses. You definitely get more than you pay for, which is uncommon for any business. Most places just make the minimum repairs and then up-sell and pressure you to spend unnecessary amounts of money to fix additional things you don t really need. Whether I needed a major repair or an oil change, Robert has always done a complete inspection of my car to look for any additional issues while he had access to it. Let me tell you, if he mentions you need something done, then do it! If it s something that eventually needs attention, he ll be HONEST and tell you that you can wait until next time. He s not about the up-sell but more about keeping you safe on the road.My recommendation, call before you just show up. His shop stays very busy because of his HONESTY, QUALITY of work, and over 30 years of returning costumers.There s a reason why I ve been coming to Oviedo Auto Repair for over 18 years, what s your reason for not????

Took my wife's car there for issues with overheating and the AC not working. Met with Robert. I have nothing bug positive things to say about the experience. I dropped the car off and he kept me up to date through the process of him troubleshooting and diagnosing the car. He would text me when he found something. All in all, he had the problem solved in just over a day. He found an additional issue and called me and asked if I wanted that fixed. Some mechanics take the liberty of just going and doing it without asking. I really appreciated his communication and unassuming approach. Robert could have easily taken advantage of the situation but was honest about the issues. My repair costs were significantly less than I anticipated and had budgeted for. Great experience. Will definitely be back again.

I've been taking my vehicles to Oviedo Auto Repair for almost 14 years and seldom have been disappointed. Robert knows the tricks of his trade and has often saved me time, trouble, and money. Whenever I need major mechanical work, he matches or beats their estimate and does a professional, quality repair. In fact, I frequently drop by without an appointment for minor issues and he fixes them for free when able to take a break from his current repair job. Consequently he's earned my loyalty, admiration, and gratitude from another satisfied, repeat customer!

A professional shop to have your car repair done by Robert and Jesse. All my vehicles repair are always within the time frame promised, and price quoted. I have full trust to have both of my cars work done at Oviedo Auto Repair. Very dishonest people. I called last week for a quote for labor to install my hitch since I have already bought the parts and Robert told me it cost $50 if the instructions saying installation takes less than half an hour and will cost 100 if it takes more. The hitch kit I ordered says it only takes 20 minutes. I went two days later and after he did the work, he tried to charge me $286 with my own parts. Also during the time they were installing the hitch, they broke my screws on my car and replaced with a used and old one. Very unprofessional! Will not recommended to anyone! Will never come back again.

Twice I have dealt with this place. First time was for uhaul and the second time for my car. Guess what? TWICE the nice lady who works with here showed me what customer service is about. Not only did she help me, she went out of her way to help, in doing so earning a loyal customer who will recommend this shop to anyone who listens. Thank you!!!

Robert's done a great job keeping the A/C on my 2006 miata working well. He's repaired it 3 times over the past 5 years. Prices are reasonable and Robert puts extra effort into properly diagnosing the problem.

After being cancelled and quoted 3x the price just to raise my window, Oviedo Auto Repair welcomed me and had my window moved back up within an hour of my initial call. They were kind and willing to help me immediately as I was short on time. Definitely give them a shot if you need anything done!

My experience at Oviedo Auto Repair was great! They were friendly and explained why and what was being done. I did not have coupons and I was still provided with their discount of being a new customer and any coupons available to me. The work they do is excellent. Excellent experience!

Robert, (the owner) is very experienced in trouble shooting vechile issues and fair with his pricing. In most cases he under charges. I have taken my personal vehicle to him and found that he takes his time , does more above and beyond work than what he charges. This is rare in todays auto repair. I have told my friends about my experience with Oviedo Auto Repair and they too, have told me the same of their experience with Oviedo Auto Repair. Highly recommend !

Rented a UHaul from this location. Showed up a few minutes before opening, the owners were friendly, quick, and helpful. Got set up, rented the truck, and had it back same day with little hassle and great service. I've used a few other local truck rentals in Oviedo over the years, and this one has been the best by far.

I can't think of a single automotive service experience I can rate more highly than the one I've just had with Oviedo Auto Repair. An unimposing building, the mechanic Robert is very friendly and knowledgeable. Their work is extremely professional, and of the highest quality -- and they don't try to nickle-and-dime, either! They charged me less than 1/2 of what another mechanic wanted to do the same job, in less time, and even fixed an unrelated (and unmentioned) problem at no extra charge while the car was up.I'll be back, and I've already told all of my friends and family. You should most certainly take your car here for service.

Not a good place for U-Haul equipment rental/drop-off. Tight parking lot with no direction of where to go to return equipment. When I parked in a field out of the way the clerk came out and told me I parked in the middle of everything. Then I had to try and back the trailer into a tight fenced in area with a lot of other equipment. The female attendant said she wasn't strong enough to use their dolly that was supposed to be used for putting trailers in tight places. Had to do it myself. In short go somewhere else that has people capable of doing their job so you don't have to do it for them.Reply to owner - Uh, no, you didn't. You demanded it be parked where you wanted it and claimed NOT to be able to do it yourselves. Please get your story straight and work on your horrible facility and customer service.

Rude people, up charge you after you were given a price and when I asked questions about the service they got extremely rude and tried to intimidate me. Came here because I was in a pinch and quickly realized the people working here appear miserable. Do not take your car here for body work.TLDR: Brought my car in to fix a minor dent. They made it significantly worse. After 2 weeks they finally had it fixed, but I had to pay 3.5x more than I was originally quoted.Brought in my new car with a very minor indentation in the hood. It was about 5 inches in diameter and was only visible from certain angles. The paint was still perfect.I was quoted a good price and they told me it would be done that afternoon or the next day. They called me later to tell me there was a problem and to come down and take a look. The initial dent was still there (about half the size) but now there were about 10 small "dimples" that caught the light from every angle and your eyes darted to them instantly. Additionally, there was now a crack in the paint where the initial dent was. It was now much worse than when I brought it in.They said they would try hammering it out but because of the crack they would need to re paint it afterwords. Because it was their fault they said they would work with me on the price. By the end of the week they hadn't gotten to it. The next week I had to check in to see what was going on. They were going to out source the paint work to a shop that they work with and they wanted me to cover the paint guy's labour and materials. Again, not happy. The only reason that paint was needed is because they screwed up.A few days later they called to tell me that the hood was at the paint shop and it would be ready the next day (Saturday). The next day comes and goes without them calling me at all. On Sunday I called them and the owner picks up and says the car is ready but they are closed. He meant that the paint shop was closed. They had never received my hood back from the paint shop, so my was in pieces and not "ready" at all. Could it be that they don't know the hours of the paint shop they work with?All in all it took 2 week and 3.5x more than I was quoted to get a small dent on the hood of my car fixed. They charged me the paint guy's fee of $300 even thought the paint was only cracked because they messed it up. The owner also claimed that the employee who quoted me was incompetent.Maybe they are great at other repair work, but don't bring your car here for body work.
