**UPDATE: They attempted to fix the issue, but damaged the car more by draining all of the oil and forgetting to replace it. They said they would pay for the mechanic who diagnosed and refilled the oil, but they continue to not return calls or pay the mechanic. The car still has a check engine light on due to the damage done by not replacing the oil and the car now stalls out frequently. Our trusted mechanic will not work on it because he hasn't gotten paid from the dealership who promised to pay him. Due to this ordeal and the refusal of Tropical Auto to fix the issue THEY ARE NO LONGER BACKED OR ACCREDITED BY THE BBB!*Purchased a vehicle and before I even got it home multiple dash lights came on. Had the codes read and it was something that the dealership had to have known about and cleared just to sell the car. Brought it back the next day and the dealership offered to have their auto shop fix the issue becahse the financing hadnt been finalized yet. Again, the lights came back on shortly after getting home. Seems they lied about fixing the issue as it is the exact same error codes and same parts they said they had fixed. Dealership refuses to take or return our call. Avoid buying here as they knowingly sell cars with severe safety issues. Also avoid the auto shop as they will write false reports stating they fixed something when they didn't do anything at all.

Can t be more happy! I normally dread the car buying process, because it usually takes forever and I never leave with what I came in for . But Jay and tropical auto was a complete breath of fresh air. The vehicle was as described, the terms were as described, and the overall experience was pleasantly surprising!! I will forever refer all my friends and family!! I wasn t an easy approval but Jay never gave up on me, didn t try to change my mind, he wasn t just doing his job rather the opposite! Seemed like he really cared about my happiness and comfort in my loan and vehicle! I cannot rave enough about Jay and tropical auto! They have my business for life! Oh and I didn t even mention the free 55 smart tv they threw in for customers!! I m so impressed and happy with my new car! THANK YOU TROPICAL

ONE OF THE WORST DEALERS I COULD EVER DEAL WITH I BOUGHT A TRUCK OVER $27k AND FALLING APART ROOF RACK COMING OUT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME UP, THEY PUT 2 FRONT TIRES WHICH WERE ALL WIRING OUT FROM THE INSIDE, THE ACTITUD OF THE MANAGER FROM THAT DEALER IS LIKE HES DOING US A FAVOR, MY SUGGESTION IS TO GO TO A BIG DEALER GET WARRANTY FROM THE HOUSE FOR 30k or 50k miles UNSTEAD OF 3k miles or 3 months NOT WORTH IT I WISH I COULD KNOWN

2 stars because I purchased a bmw X7 they had which I really wanted. I notified Jose my sales guy about the sensor for the 3rd row before I left the parking lot he basically brushed it off and act like it was nothing. Bmw paper work said it needed spark plugs replaced. So I went and got them changed out of my pocket (no big deal) but when I call my sales guy back about the 3rd row issue he telling me nothing he can do and the manager Hector is telling me he didn t know anything about it which I m assuming Jose didn t mention it to him. (I have the pictures of the issue before driving off). So I called back trying to see what they can do because it s an expensive fix through bmw. So I called and tried to see what they can do for me. I didn t expect a free job but I expected some type of help since I had replaced the spark plugs out of pocket although they saw it on the paper work. Everybody nice when you going to buy a car but it s how they deal with you when you mention a problem. As I was told nothing was in writing when my sales guy knew. If you buy from here check everything and get it noted before signing anything. I m still waiting on my call back .

Great experience from the reception to the closing of the deal. Jay in sales helped me out with the whole process. The finance guy was able to compete for a better deal than I expected and was able to wrap up the deal in time for me to make it back to Tampa before dark. Tropical Auto Outlet on 50

Anthony is a life saver. I traded in my Nissan Altima for a Nissan Rogue for a great price. It is a wonderful vehicle that is still in the family. His mechanic shop is also on point and he has done great work for me, my son, and my sister's cars. He has an excellent trustworthy operation and has become a great friend over the last decade.

Jimmy was on point. From the minute I called it to the minute I purchased the vehicle he was on point. Everything he said that would happen, happened. I d give more stars if I could. I urge anybody to STAY AWAY from this dealership. PLEASE do not do business with them. Within 2 weeks of purchasing a car, we started having engine issues. They assured us it was just spark plugs, and their mechanic fixed it . Just days later, my fianc� got stranded on his way to work and we decided to have our trusted family mechanic look at it. The engine needed to be replaced, which was five THOUSAND dollars out of our pocket, after we had just used all of our savings to purchase the car for from Tropical Auto. Total purchase price (before also having to buy an engine), *TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS* for a car that wouldn t even run. Tropical Auto KNEW that this car had an engine issue... They refused to cover the engine replacement or work with us at all. Their only solution was that we pay to tow the car, over an hour, to their mechanic so he could take a look . He had already seen the car and the exact same engine issue the week before (and lied to us). At that point we had lost all trust in Tropical Auto, why would we go through the trouble of trusting them to fix something? These people took food off of our table for month because they sold us a lemon. We were already starting to struggle financially due to the economy before being scammed by them. Absolutely awful and deceptive business practices. The salesmen at Tropical Auto Outlet should be ashamed. I don t know where all of the good reviews come from, but I think it s because they adamantly request good reviews immediately after someone purchases a car. And do not believe any of their Google Review Responses that try to make the customer look bad/incorrect. These people are liars. We are not the only people who have been scammed by Tropical Auto Outlet. Coincidentally, all of the reviews involving similar scams by them were written soon after the Dealership gained new ownership last spring. I wonder why

Don t do it to yourself. The problems you will inherit and if you do go here because at the end of the day even we got a Subaru do NOT get the insurance. It s a nonsensical offer and they offered us less than they initially said for the amount of years of coverage. When they fixed our radio (a concession and contingency for the sale), they broke our hazard lights don t do it.

Jay was absolutely amazing! He took care of us right from the beginning. Gave us a fair deal, answered any and all questions we had and even help teach me how to drive a manual a bit :) I highly recommend this dealership they made the entire process easy and smooth. Thanks guys!

Me and my friend came here to get a new car, when all of the dealerships wouldn't help us this one did.They walked us through the entire process and worked with us on our restrictions. Our salesman Rodrigo then managed to put us in one of our desired cars, and the service was amazing the whole way.

They want you to put in and be approved for the car even before you test drive it. I mean if you drive it and don t like it you just got an inquiry for the heck of it. That s definitely not cool. I will say we are repeating customers of the dealership and should be treated like it. Just fly the first car we got the air conditioning didn t work that well and had a few issues with it. After the owner seen that I put a review he came out and was rude. The salesman was great the owner/manager was definitely RUDE. I advise you to stay away from this dealership. There are much more better places to buy and get a better car

I would really like to thank Richard Gray for the great help on the purchase of my Uncle Dale's 2008 Cadillac Escalade he is very helpful and understanding. 5 stars alone doesn t do the service here justice. First off, they have amazing customer service. Offered me water, and even something to eat. Everyone here cares about you and works with you so you can leave with a amazing car at an amazing deal! Love the service and it has such a positive energy in the room. Wish I could give them 10 stars. Highly recommended, and the car runs smooth!

Adjusting my previous review- the car we purchased had been with the dealership for over 2 weeks when we bought it. No attempts were made to fix the ac which was broken, which was fine because we were assured it was likely a Freon issue. 3k later and I finally have a working car. Definitely steer clear of buy here pay here lots

I m so happy about this purchase, this is my second car I buy from this dealership, thank you HECTOR we meet again . I would like to also say thank you to the phenomenal staff member Richard Gray that helped me with so much patience and treated me so nice, he guided me to this beautiful Toyota and I love it.
