These guys are the GOAT! I have used them a couple of times now, once on a manual transmission rebuild and now on an automatic transmission install. Josh and the team are great to work with, they get the job done quickly and have of the best pricing I could find in the area. I brought them a rebuilt transmission to install and they ran into some small leak issues with a couple of the seals when they put it in. Technically they were probably the rebuilders responsibility, but Sam's Trasmissions fixed them for me at no cost to get me back on the road. Honest and reliable, I wont use another transmission shop!

Learned about them from two friends that were 100% satisfied with their work & claiming no one else knows transmissions better. I brought them a Tundra with 368K miles. Sam and his son were straight forward with exactly what was wrong with the transmission and the estimate to repair. He finished the work earlier than his estimated timeline with no surprises found. After a complete rebuild, the Tundra now (2 months and counting) shifts gears as good as the day I bought it with no indication of any further problems. I highly recommend them.

Best place to get a transmission replaced. Prices are reasonable and they are upfront with you. Had to get my 2029 ford fusion transmission replaced. And they had the most adorable price around.

My entire family was on vacation in the Orlando area this February when my car suddenly started leaking transmission fluid on the freeway. Not at all familiar with auto repair shops in the area, I began to make calls to try to find someone to help. Sams Wholesale Automotive was recommended by another shop. I called Sam's and they were able to hook me up with a tow truck operator and looked at my car the next day. I could have been raked over the coals being 1000 miles from home and needing to get home in a few days. Instead, they replaced my transmission lines and re-filled with fluid and I was able to drive home with no incident. Thanks for the quality work and honesty.Service: Transmission

This shop is awesome! Sam and employees are hard working, honest and very knowledgeable. He worked on our transmission several years ago full rebuild and because he felt it took longer than expected, he gave us a lifetime warranty! Recently I started having some small transmission issues and they did the work and the cost was ZERO! How nice to find such integrity and honesty. They are highly recommended by us. I called various shops requesting a transmission rebuild quote. This was the only business that asked why I thought I needed a rebuild. After explaining what was currently going on with the car and that I had the vehicle at a shop and was being told a rebuild was necessary Sam explained to me that there where other things that could be causing the issue I was experiencing. I decided I would take the car and have him look at it. Within mins he diagnosed the car showing me exactly what was wrong. His honesty saved me thousands of dollars with a repair I did not need. My car was repaired and back on the road within a short amount of time. I am so grateful that I called this shop. If your looking for honest hardworking people who truly give you a fair price than give them a call and see if they can repair your car. They have my business for life.Service: Transmission

My transmission died and I initially sent it to a shop not too far from Sam s. They took over a week to tell me they couldn t work on my car. When I took it to Sam s, he let me know within hours of the issue and that he could repair it. The next day, he was so informative about the repair, he even showed me the damaged parts. Hopefully, you will never need transmission work. It's not something everyone can do, and many who say they can often aren't that good at it. Luckily for me, Sam's Wholesale Transmissions is the real deal. They rebuilt the transmission in my son's 2012 Chrysler 200. It was slipping so bad we were worried about making it to the shop. Now, it runs as good as new. They explained the car's problem in depth and gave us some options before we decided to rebuild it.I'm been a DIY shade tree mechanic for over forty years, so I'm not easily mislead and even less easily impressed. I'm very disappointed with this place after spending $4000 on a rebuild transmission that lasted 3 weeks I discovered old parts where installed and I was told all new parts installedIs sad how business take unfair advantage of customer

Highly recommend!! Sam the owner, saved me $8,900 which Lexus of Orlando wanted to charge for replacing my transmission. The only repair my car needed was a transmission fluid change. If I could give this man more than 5 stars, I would. As a young female, I feel that I get taken advantage of when it comes to prices and what all needs to be fixed at car repair shops. However, walking into Sam s shop, I did not feel this way. He is an honest, good man, that does an awesome job at a fair price. I brought my car in right before the holidays, expecting it to take a week to fix, Sam had the job done in a day and a half. I highly recommend him to anyone that has any questions or issues with their car.

Sam is incredibly honest and stands by his work. I had an entirely new transmission put in my vehicle by Sam's team in October 2016, and had an issue in June 2018, a few weeks after the warranty on Sam's repair expired. He honored the warranty anyway, replacing what was wrong at no cost. Plus, I find he treats female customers respectfully, which I find to be rare in the automotive industry. Highly, highly recommend this place.

I waited a couple of weeks to write this review. I wanted to make sure everything was really fixed. I came recommended to Sam since my 2016 Lexus GX had a vibration on the transmission when it shifted gears. After reading in some forums people recommended to just drain the oil in the transmission and refill again changing the filters. Well no one in town wanted to do it. They wouldn t recommend and said that it will mess things up worse. Since the day I called Sam he described exactly the procedure that needed to be done and that there was no problem bring it in and we will get it done for you. Well it has been 2 weeks and the car now shifts smoothly better than it ever did. They got me in an out quick and under $300 for the service. Others quoted me over $1500 and still told me they wouldn t do it. I was thinking new transmission but Sam helped me to save thousands of dollars. Thank you Sam!

I took my truck to Sam's transmission repair shop after the GM dealer told me that I needed a $5.900+tax total transmission replacement. Sam serviced my transmission and resolved the problems for $225!!!!!! I highly recommend Sam's. A HUGE savings for me. I brought my BRZ to Sam and his team, and they performed excellent work on it in a speedy fashion. I dropped it off on Monday, and had it back on Tuesday. Sam was able to explain everything going on with my car simply and concisely, and was able to quickly resolve and answer any followup issues or questions I had once the work was complete. My sprinter had a major transmission and I brought it into the Mercedes dealer. The dealer dropped the ball and I had to wait 2 weeks for the transmission that never ended showing up from Germany.Thankfully, I had my vehicle towed to Sam s Wholesale Automotive aka Transmax. Josh, the owners son, quoted be a reasonable price to rebuild the transmission and told me it would be done on Tuesday. Sure enough, It was completed on Tuesday and they sent me multiple text messages/photos showing the job was started as well in the midst of being completed.Josh and Sam are amazing people and provide amazing customer service, something that is a total rarity these days. I ll be giving them all of my business in the future.

Everytime I have a question or concern Sam and his crew take care of me. They rebuilt my trans and worked with me to find the most economical parts. Recently, I installed a back up camera and my reverse lights went out. Took it to Sam checked out my reverse switch and sent me on my way. If its not his wheelhouse he provides fast friendly referrals. My automotive issues I go to Sam, highly recommend him!!!

Dealership told me I needed a new transmission would be $6500. Brought over to Sam for a second opinion and all I needed was fluid flush and change. Truck drives right as rain and cost me $250.Honest and dependable guy and crew.Service: Transmission

After receiving the news from my usual mechanic that the torque converter on the transmission of my 2008 BMW needed to be replaced and the cost would be at least $1000.00 I was at a loss for words. Then my mechanic proceeded to recommend that since I needed to replace that, I might as well replace other components of the Transmission since they would have direct access to them, then also might as well replace the computer. A family member recommended Sam's wholesale Transmission. Which I called right away in a panic. Not only did they say that it might just need a Transmission fluid change because this a common occurannce with my car. When he actually got into it, he realized that it was an American Transmission not German, he actually reduced his original cost by almost half. From just over $500 to $275. Can you imagine my relief going from a possible $3000.00 repair to $275, just because I was dealing with a genuine honest person. Sam is a man beyond words. You can actually feel his sincerity and compassion while your talking to him. If I could give this guy 10 stars I would. He was an absolute God send. I will forever feel like I met an angel in this man. Enough words cannot be said.

I really don t know how this people have even a good review! First they do an appointment for a transmission oil change, me bringing everything directly from Mercedez Benz, so they don t use aftermarket parts. Then when I get there at the time of the appointment he said he was very full and that the people next door will do it for me just like if I did it.Well the people he recommended left bolts lose and I lost my oil then neither one of them wanted to be responsible for the money they owe me for the oil lost, they said they rather get sued!

The best customer service..I was looking for some one I can trust to fix my car.. every other places was telling me that I need a new transmission.. But a friend of mine told me about Sam s wholesale automotive repair and there was totally honest with me and did something different to my transmission and it was fixed very well.. thank you guys for been so honest

I brought in my 1985 Chevrolet Corvette. It needed a manual transmission repair and overhaul along with a new clutch and other misc parts.. Also it needed a new eng rear main seal that was leaking. They did a awesome job with all of it. When i test drove the Corvette after the work was done it instantly put a big smile on my face. The corvette transmission performed flawless and smooth. The work they did was first class. I am a return customer, they rebuilt the transmission on my Chevy truck years ago and did a awesome job and i knew exactly where do go to have work done on my Corvette. I highly recommend them to everyone.

5 Stars is not enough to rate my review for Sam's Wholesale Transmissions!We called Sam's with our daughter's car on the roadside with her Ford Fiesta showing Transmssion issues on her dashboard. We had her vehicle towed to his shop and Sam went to work trying to find out what was going on. He called us first thing the next morning with the news that there were many things going on, but he believed that the majority would be covered under Ford's Technical Safety Bulletins. He recommended a tow company (which was very reasonable) for our car to be towed from his shop to Peacock Ford for repairs. He was 100% percent correct all but one thing was covered by the TSB's saving us a TON of money. Sam was forthcoming, honest and 100% professional and went ABOVE and BEYOND what I could have ever asked for. If you ever need transmission work - do not hesitate to use Sam's - it was the most pleasant car experience we have ever had.

Sam was extremely professional and helped me fully understand what was going on with my car. Explained it in a way I could understand and made sure I saw what was wrong. Really nice team. Showed that party of the problemwas my comments and filled me up no charge. (I can not say that will happen for everyone just to make due he doesn't get a convoy for free coolant.) He made sure I got connected to the right people and thanked me for coming. Will definitely be going back if I need transmission help.
