If I could give 0 stars I would. I m on month 4 and my ac doesn t work properly. I was told I needed a whole new ac system and was charged $1,500. I went back 3x and now again my ac doesn t work. I had to go to another pep boys to be told that they most likely misdiagnosed my issue. Do not go there. Shady stuff is going on and they re not doing work correctly. I take care of my car. This car is only a few years old and this shouldn t be happening.

Went for an oil change but I knew something else was wrong with my car. Got my oil change and was shown that my rotors were in really bad shape (I thought it was my transmission lol), obviously took a bit longer but after my car was running a lot better! Really friendly staff.

I had a 10am appointment. At 915am I was called by the manager and asked if I wanted to come in early. I arrived at 930am and was greeted by the manager before I even parked. I was showed the waiting area and waited until my vehicle was finished. I was very pleased with the work I highly recommend them to anyone.

brought my car in to get a flat tired fixed. i called the day before and the guys at Pepboys were able to order my tire for next day service. brought it in and Dave and Vega at this location did an amazing job. i told them i needed to be back on the road by a certain time and they were able to help me get in and out even faster than i expected. everything was done before i even finished my lunch. good job guys. thanks for the awesome service!

I took my car in for a simple oil change and diagnosis due to a check engine light, and I was quoted hours work of work which I had done elsewhere in a few minutes. Also I was told I needed new brakes and I had them looked and measured elsewhere and they didn t need changing. I used to trust this shop but had I gone with their recommendations I would have spent close to a thousand dollars on unnecessary work. Obviously I won t go back there again but I wanted to give the heads up to others and also alert their management if they don t know what s going on.

Will literally never go anywhere else. The staff is amazing and always so helpful at explaining things. I know nothing about cars but Vega takes the time to explain things and figure out what will be best for not only my car but me as well. Can t recommend him and this location enough!

Oct 2023, my car was running funny, definitely something wrong with the engine. Took it to this specific Pep Boys, diagnosed with an engine misfire. Okay fine. Charged for a multitude of things, that was needed for the spark plug replacement. Okay fine. I had been told in the past I needed my rear shocks replaced. I asked them to give me a quote, I didn't want to do it that day just wanted to know for possibly next time. I was in the area helping a friend for a few days, they informed me cost and said the part would come before the time I returned to my actual home. So I agreed to have the part ordered and would return my car for replacement. I was due for an Oil change so got that done (so I thought). Anyways, they fix the spark plug, (and oil change?) and told me they would call me when the shocks came in. Fast forward about a week later I realized they never called me about the part coming in. I call and the man I spoke with really didn't have any idea what I was talking about. Even asked me to come back in to make sure they order the correct part! by that time I was already back on the other side of town. I said no I can't. He then lied and said the parts were back logged and they would call me when the part was in. 3 weeks later I got no update, so called again. A different man answered, and he was talking over me saying yes yes the part is here come in come in. Again, on the other side of town so was not able to come in until this past week (Jan 2024)I arrive after speaking to them on the phone the day before to confirm they still had the part at the shop. Approached by the man I spoke to on the phone, told him I had an appt. It's like he didn't even look at the schedule, because he was assuming I was there for an oil change. Do want to note I had my oil light come on intermediately starting in December, I don't drive much so thought it was strange that it even came on because I had just gotten an oil change by them apprx 1200 miles prior today (I get synthetic). Since the oil light had been coming on I just thought the my engine was burning oil (I had been told in the past). Come to find out looking at my car fax, there was no recorded of my oil change back Oct when I paid for it. Also asked for them to remove a nail and patch the hole in my driver front tire. Charged for it, looked at my tire today and it's still there, same exact nail. It makes me wonder if they actually changed my shocks this past visit.I am not a mechanic, so I expect that if I pay for a service it gets done. I should NOT have to have someone walk me through each thing to confirm it was done. But now I'm going to make them. This whole situation has me on edge. It's 2024, I don't have extra money (hundreds of dollars) to donate to corporations and not get the service done. I'm already emailing corporate and reporting because this is beyond frustrating. Beware they are always going to push for extra work you probably don't need.

Was charged for 4.5 hours of labor for something that took my mechanic 40 minutes. I m all about paying for someone s skill and expertise but that is super shady. When I asked for a partial refund I was told I agreed to pay but clearly I didn t know I was being severely over billed $400 for labor at a rate of $139 / Hr. Never coming here again. This is absolutely ridiculous. Do not trust these people. The mechanic who worked on my vehicle was hurrying and trying to go on vacation and didn t clean up after himself and left my vehicle disgusting. Steering wheel and gear shift is covered in dirt.

They are friendly when serving you, but if there are 25 minutes left before closing, don't waste your time going. They will not attend to you for an oil and filter change.

Great price and great customer service. They delivered the car as promised when promised. Great overall experience.Edit: Okay, I take back everything I said that was good. We had to go back to this place 3 times after this visit because they couldn t get the alignment right. My car would shake terribly on the highway, which it wasn t doing before we took it here. After the 3rd time when it wasn t fixed, we gave up. Literally had to take it back to the dealership for it to be fixed. They completely messed up my car. It was terrible.We also had them put in new windshield wipers that were their brand which were comparable to Rainx (yeah I know, rookie move). These stopped working properly after a week. Worst car shop experience. Don t trust these guys with your car.

Addy was super friendly and helpful! I really enjoyed the customer service she gave me! I ll be a returning customer since I am new to the area! Can t wait to see her again!Super comfy waiting area with usb ports and free wifi!And when you re waiting for your car, they give you the remote for the tv, don t put on anything but the news its stressful

Great place, easy to find. Clean and advisors keep you inform. Need a little more attention on the place. No coffee and or drinks to be consume and/or purchased there. Follow up needs more attention as well.

Went here so they could patch a hole in my tire. They were super nice and patch was good and cheap so if you need something simple done, go here it s great.they lost 2 stars because they tried to tell me i had $4000 in damages to my car, including dry rotted tires, a new battery, needing new control arms, and more leaks than i know what to do with. i found this a little hard to believe, and took it my local mechanic who s been working on my car for over 3 years. those $4000 damages magically poof d away and my car only needed like $300 worth of work done to it, even my guy said that half the things they brought up were not actually happening.the people that all work here are great and im not making this review to damage their business, but this is more for the corporation.stop trying to scam your guests and maybe you ll have more returning customers <3

Will, Clay, and Axle always take care of my wife s car. If something needs done on the car, she says, let s take it to Will. They always do the right thing for us and have always taken care of the car for eleven years now

What started out as a nice gesture has turned to a complete disaster. My goal was to surprise a friend with brand new tires for her car. I purchased the tires and alignment unfortunately her husband had different plans. However, when I informed the location that I will be unable to carry out the plan I was told that I cannot return the tires because they had to go pick the tires up from another location in the same city. I was informed that is policy. I have looked on online and there is no policy that states that I cannot return the tires. The tires are at the location sitting there and I have been charged a $1000k. Which I have disputed with my bank and plan to take further action because I know this is not right and can't be legal. So the service that I did not get and the product that I will not use is still at the store but I am being charged. I will never do business again with Pepboys and I plan to get my money back. I was not informed at the time of purchase that of I proceed I will not be able to return

RE-WRITE REVIEW:CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS GOTTEN A LOT BETTER, THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!!Last year review. .However, I received a phone call today from Gloria, who assisted with excellent Customer Service Skills by being polite and respectable. Clay can learn a thing or two from Gloria. There is a quote by Maya Angelou: I ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. Customer Service is about respecting people enough they can feel comfortable spending their money while getting their worth and appreciated. Customers will comeback not as a need but, how they were treated with respect so they will trust spending their money. Thank you for your time to read. I will go back to Pep Boys. I'll change the star as I go.

Do not recommend this shop due to inferior workmanship, lack of professionalism, and inflated costs. The Master Technician failed to fix my brakes, did not call me to pick it up, caused another problem unrelated to why I brought it in, left trash on the floorboard and a hair net in my cup holder. Of course it wasn t his problem and advised me to speak to the manager, who then defended the mechanics. They had no concern for providing any customer service, work ethics, or performing a job they solicit to provide. After taking my vehicle to another mechanic, the problem was quickly diagnosed and covered under my warrenty! Yet, Pep Boys in Avalon Park couldn t seem to pinpoint the issue after holding my car for over 9 hours! Don t waste your time; go to a professional mechanic!Service: Brakes

I had an amazing experiemce with the Morning Pep boys staff in Avalon Park this morning 3/4/23. They greeted me right away & got me checked in for my appointment. When i mentioned a concern I had, they immediately said they would look at it. I appreciated the smiles, friendly nature and efficiency. They also kept me updated on what they were doing & the repairs they made. It was a smooth check in & check out and I appreciated all the staff involved Craig, William everyone, you guys made my day!3/8/23VEGA MADE MY DAY!!!!! Excellent customer service!!!!

At this point, I m just tired. I ve been up sold things that I don t need, I ve over paid for a brake job, and now it s just ridiculous that EVERY time I ve set an appointment for something as simple as an oil change, the appointment cannot be met in a timely manner. Why is it that every time I set an appointment, I have to wait a minimum 2-3 hours before the work begins on my car? What is the point of scheduling an appointment if this is the case?

My car needed quite a bit of service and I had used this location once before. Vega was very friendly and professional and called to discuss what work was needed. They had also sent a text with photos. There was no pressure to have everything done which is something I had experienced at another shop. The work was completed and finished within a few hours. The car is running great. I would definitely recommend this Pep Boys location in Avalon.

Needed a spark plug changed after pulling over on the way to the airport, the car warning light came on and was not running well, stopped into Pep Boys because it was close only to be told that the repair would take a complete tune up to change all the spark plugs etc...and they wanted $ 895 dollars for the work!!!!!! Went down the street to Christian Brothers and they fixed the 1 spark plug and had the car running in less than an hour for $70 bucks. Pep Boys always has been and always will be a rip off and a scam!!!!

Great product and even greater service! Something happened to cause one of my new tires to be out of balance just 3 days after install. Vega, who works at the front desk, made sure to get me back in the shop to get the wheels checked. Axel checked and balanced the wheels again. Great service from top to bottom. I definitely recommend this shop.

My daughter went for a simple oil change that usually costs max $60, but left with a $95 bill. We had initially thought it was because prices have been going up and that s understandable. But after arriving back at home she noticed that they had charged her for the most expensive oil available, which she did not ask for. (They did full synthetic managers special package?? When all she gets done is a simple semi-synthetic oil change, the bare minimum) What was being done was not discussed prior to the services, we contacted them over the phone but got rudely told to come in, and got hung up on right after. After coming in to discuss it face to face, all they could argue was that she agreed to the price, nothing could be done. A 50% off the next oil change was all they offered, but why would we return to a place that constantly overcharges? While trying to explain this to them in person all the manager and employee would do was talk over my daughters, not letting them explain why there was an issue. Eventually when my daughters got frustrated because they kept talking over them, they brought up the fact that it was always an issue at that specific pep boys that they would try to take advantage of the lack of knowledge from their part, and charge for services that where NOT needed. In this instance, We ve been told our tires need to be replaced immediately and won t last more than two weeks, they lasted me another year and a half. In that same instance they said my serpentine belt was damaged and needed to be replaced immediately, which would have been $150 according to them, after seeing another mechanic it was confirmed my serpentine belt was completely fine and would last me another couple years after we tried to call them out on this they said they refuse to talk to us, that the conversation is DONE. We asked for corporate number and the employee, who does not have a name tag, mockingly said that we can call corporate all we want but he will just dismiss it.
