Took my car there in July of 2022 for transmission work was charged $3000 for a used transmission that lasted one year. Took the car back 3 months later and was told by the owner that he would see what can be done and he would get back to me. He never did. I called the shop once a week and was told the same thing. He will see what he could do. Finally l was told to get another overused transmission it would be $4000. I definitely declined and picked up my car. Very poor communication from this place. I will not recommend.

They are reliable, honest and operate with integrity. I recommend Aamco to anyone who is looking to get great mechanic work done on their vehicle. Charles always take the time to answer any questions I may have and provides me with all available options.

I would like to start by telling you please do not bring your car to this location for several reasons. Those guys are rude, especially CJ. They do not have any respect for people. I took my time on two occasions to observe that CJ that some people are talking about. He is rude, and he does not have any good manners. When I walked into the office for the very first time, CJ did not greet me as a customer. I had to greet him myself because I saw that he was not educated. The second time I went there, CJ walked into the office without saying good morning to me nor the other staff member that I was talking to. I had to stand on my feet for the entire time that I was there, and CJ did not offer me to take a sit. They did not call me to inform me about the car. I had to call several times to find out. Those guys took my money, and they did not do the service. I was there for a transmission oil flush. They took the money, but the service was not done. The transmission oil looked the same as the motor oil. When I took the car back one day later, the old guy started to argue with me instead of trying to solve the problem. I do not have any problem with the company, but I would recommend changing the staff because they are not professional, especially CJ. To conclude, please do not take your car to this location unless you had a good experience with them in the past. Those guys are not honest and therefore cannot be trusted. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE.Thanks.

Best place to take your car! The manager is nice and friendly and is able to help you if he can. I will be taking my car here every single time, they do great work!

I love this place and I will continue to come back anytime something is wrong with my car. they re diagnostics are very accurate and Cj is very helpful and also makes you feel very personable when it comes to working with you. great quality customer service and car service and they re very fast too.

Had my car towed to the shop because it died on me. The shop diagnosed it and determined it was simply an auto function to protect the engine. Charged me for the diagnosis and refuel only. They could have charged me for a lot more!! Honesty!! I highly recommend this place!!

I brought my car there to have the transmission checked and they explained the price to me and even agreed to fix my catalytic converter while the engine was open. Ultimately, I decided to cut my losses and trade in the vehicle, but they kept my car on the lot safe behind a gate until I was able to pick it up the next day and they were all very kind. Most importantly they did all this for FREE. I almost wish I would ve had my cars serviced, but overall a blessed experience. Ford was wanting to charge almost $300 for diagnostic testing ONLY

I give this particular Amco a five-star rating! CJ that runs the front is an awesome guy! He went out of his way to find a way to fix my car without costing me a fortune. The people at this Aamco really care and it shows! I would highly recommend this shop to anybody that has a car!

I just want to say, this place does not stand behind their work. They go as far to lie so they don't have. I had a repair done here,..1 week later,..I was out of town, had to bring it to a shop corporate Aamco arranged for them to look at,..they had to replace a couple parts, was missing a part. Terrible terrible. Got back to Orlando, went back for them to check my transmission problems. Once they had the money they did not care, would not honor my appointment, I was no longer a valued customer. Went back to them, after my transmission warning light came on, Service transmission now!! And this is when they use lie tactics, was told once I turned the vehicle off, they could no longer read the warning. I should drive around and wait for it to happen again and then bring it back so he could read the diagnostic. Now I am taking it to a different transmission shop, guess what? That is not true at all. That warning is in the system and can be pulled up. These people are not trustworthy.

CJ at the West Colonial location was amazing! I had a warranty claim and he dogged this insurance company on my behalf for 2 weeks until we got a favorable resolution.I highly recommend that location if CJ s there!!Service: Transmission

i was having some issues with my car and was not able to drive to the acura dealership to have it serviced. i called AAMCO and Charles quickly answered all my questions and told me to swing by and bring the car in. I did not have to wait very long and was in and out of the shop in less than 1 hour! i am so grateful for AAMCO, Charles (CJ) and his father for taking care of my car and putting my mind at ease. they throughly explained what was going with my vehicle without charging an arm and a leg. AAMCO has gained my trust and i no longer dread getting my car fixed because i know they will get the job done! thanks so much

From Andrew Powell: "I took my Dodge Ram 1500 to the AAMCO on 5527 W Colonial Dr. a couple of months ago because I had a problem with my transmission and heating. I spoke with Stanley Keys, who is the manager at this location. I asked him if his mechanics were certified to work on vehicles and he ensured me that they were. Before coming to this location, I looked up reviews online and saw a bad one, I mentioned this to Stanley and he stated, that was just a guy that we did everything for and couldn t please him . I then asked him if his mechanics knew how to replace the heater core for my heater and he ensured me that they can and that they could check my blender doors because I was worried about those as well. I dropped my truck off the first week in January and it has been a nightmare ever since. When I went to pick up my truck, I noticed they put a hole in my radiator that I ended up having to pay to get replaced. When I got my truck back, the air or heat didn t work and according to Stanley, I needed to buy a climate control module. They put that in my truck, and I still had the same issues. Stanley told me that my truck had a lot of electrical problems, which I know not to be true because I was a mechanic in the Army and I know how to diagnose issues with vehicles. He told me that my blender door wouldn t open and that I would need to replace it. $120 later after buying the part, my heat still was not working. After speaking to him again he said the blender door was broken and needed to be repaired, but that was supposed to have been done the first time, like I told him. This time I had to pay an additional $1000 to have the dashboard taken down and the doors repaired. He told me to leave my truck and he would call me around 11am, he NEVER called. He s done this 10 times with me. I took my truck back to this location because my climate control module wouldn t stay attached to my dashboard. After about a few weeks, Stanley and I got into a heated exchange about them constantly putting the repair of my car off. I would make appointments, and when it was time for me to drop my truck off, he would tell me he doesn t have the time, or he forgot that I was supposed to come in. A business should always have a functioning appointment system and schedule. This one doesn t. They broke my dashboard in their half-attempted effort to replace my climate module and then told me I needed to buy another one for them to repair it. I ended up spending close to $5000 at this AAMCO location for issues that were caused by THEM. This place is a rip off and Stanley is unprofessional and scamming people out of their money. Their mechanics are NOT certified to work on vehicles and are messing them up in the process. I went back to the website and read more reviews and I saw that quite a few people have complained about the SAME issues I have had with them. This location gives the AAMCO franchise a very bad name and I would never recommend anyone to them. Stanley has lied to me over and over again in regard to my truck, he never calls you when he says he will, and he will have your vehicle sitting there for DAYS before they even touch it. I try to support black owned businesses as much as possible, but this one is a complete rip off. They need to be shut down. My experience with Aamco has been a very pleasant one, I got the opportunity to meet Stan about a little over a year ago when I was having problem with my transmission and I found that he is one of the friendliest person I've met. His customer service skills are excellent, he makes sure whatever work is being done to your vehicle is done to satisfactory. I got my vehicle back up there before my warranty was up and he made sure that things was working properly. I would say Stan and his staff are great. Good customer service goes a long way and with the personality and attitude that he has. I'll just say keep up the good work!!!!

Instead of going to fix any transmission, I'd rather go to any dealership because it looks like this shop acts like it's a dealership. It doesn't matter what kind of problems the parts my have to be fixed, after I made a payment for diagnosis, the result is to just buy another one to be replaced because the repairmen aren't going to waste time to fix the problem with the same part.

Stan and the mechanics at the West Colonial shop are terrific. These mechanics are the only mechanics I have allowed to work on my car other than the ones at the Hyundai dealership. I have been very pleased both times. Besides the knowledge of the staff, Stan and the guys are honest. I contacted Stan and his first words, "Bring the car in and let us check to see what is causing the problem." The car is riding great at a reasonable price.

Stan took great care of me. I had a transmission leak due to incompetence from a previous shop which eventually lead to a solenoid in my transmission frying. Stan took time listening to my story and wanted to give me a free diagnostic. They confirmed the issue I suspected and from what I received at another shop. They also worked with me on getting a great deal for a low mileage transmission and he took the time to follow up with me after to ensure my car is running fine. I look forward to continued business with these folks as they are professional, courteous, and I truly believe they are dedicated to honest work.

This AAMCO is an awesome place to get your car repaired. I had my transmission replaced and Mr. Stan was faithful with keeping me informed and updated about my car. The staff made sure that my car was running correctly with no issues. I am grateful for good people in the world that don't try to cheat you and make sure they look out for you as an individual. My transmission in my 2015 Chrysler Town & Country was stuck in 1st gear so I called Aamco. You hear horror stories about transmission repair, how expensive it can be and how long it takes to get fixed, etc. I can say these guys really took care of me from the beginning to the end. Very professional, friendly, and patient. This was my 1st transmission repair and am glad I called Aamco. BIG Shout out to Charles he was very patient with me, helpful & showed a high level of integrity. Charles walked me through the process and helped me save over $3600 with my vehicle protection plan. My repair time was about 8 or 9 days due to insurance but Charles made sure he kept me up-to-date on status each time. 2nd BIG shout out to the mechanics that worked on my van, these guys were very friendly and worked over time to ensure everything worked properly. I must say transmissions can be very expensive to repair but it puts your heart at ease when you can trust & receive genuine service. Charlie is super nice and extremely helpful. They stand behind their work and were quite honest and apparent in what they were doing. I heard a tech come in with an error code "that will go away after some driven miles." The owner (Charlie) said "we are not gonna tell a customer that "it'll go away in a few miles. Go drive the miles and clear the code or find if there is a reason it won't clear."Now that's a place I want to do business with.

Time is $$$$I had two major repairs and one lite one in the course of about three years going here. Stan is a great people person for sure. I also did not have any issues with any of the repairs and a engine replacement was the biggest one. However; if you value your time and not being lied to on when your car is ready for pickup then turn away now. If you run on third world country time then this is the place for you. I love America and I run on time is money. He lied not once not twice but THREE TIMES on when my car was ready!!!!!! It got bad to the point I had to miss work. If the car is not ready then it's not ready, don't go around telling me it is and then it's not!!!!

A professional business that aims to please without robbing you dry. As a first time car owner, I feel safe knowing that my car is in their hands. They told me things about my car that the manual and forums did not. Great service for an even better price, I would recommend this shop to all of my friends. Call and make an appointment today for all your car service needs!* Edit (May 30, 2018): I visited this shop to change my coolant back in April 2016, but the mechanic ended up incorrectly twisting the cap back on so my engine overheated on the East side of town. I brought it back to them and was given a list of reasons how this happened, none of which actually took account for the thousands of dollars worth of damage that could have occurred. To cover the original cost of getting my car serviced at this institution, I signed up for their AAMCO Car Care Card (high APR up the wazoo), and my car engine to this day still has a rattle sound anytime it is idle for too long. It runs and I'm thankful, I just know to practice more discernment when giving business to people in Orlando. You live and you learn.

The staff at Aamco was very tentative and ensured that I understood my options in regards to repairs on my car. I had my car towed to 2 other shops before deciding on Aamco. The guy at the front listened to my concerns, explained what they could do and the techs were very timely. Im a single mom that needed my car asap and they fixed my car within 24 hours and my car runs exceptional. I was then able to return my rental that I was in for two months. I take care of my Genesis Coupe mostly at the dealership but the transmission started to give me issues after it leaked out the fluid from the transmission pan and needed it to get it replaced, brought it here a few months back to get it fixed and they did an amazing job from beginning to end, they are amazing! definitely coming back! Recommending this place to a lot of people! I rarely leave reviews for businesses but this place made me do it! Thanks!

My first experience with Aamco, I brought my VW Passat in for a transmission diagnostic. I was informed it needed a new transmission and the manager Stan helped my every step of the way to understand what was happening and what they were going to do to fix it. After the replacement, Stan let me know everything I could expect and needed to do to take care of my new transmission.... Since that time I have taken my Mercedes S550, and my Dodge Ram 1500 there for service...Stan is not only VERY knowledgeable, but very patient in making sure his customers have a complete understanding about the problems with the vehicle, as well as, possible solutions. He gives you the most economical to the most expensive options and lets you choose which one is best for you.... I would recommend this Aamco to ANYONE that needs great service for their vehicle with GREAT customer from the staff!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning, Oil change
