5 stars to Dave at Nokomis Auto Repair (and his dog Beau!). My van alternator died, leaving me stranded 2 hours away from home. I called Dave to see if he could replace it for me, and, hearing my situation, he agreed. He was fully booked with jobs for other clients but rearranged things to fit me in immediately, even though it meant he had to work past closing time. Instead of having me wait the 3 hours it took for him to do the work, he gave me a ride to a restaurant on the bay where I could hang out until he was done. When he finished, he phoned me and came to pick me up. I was so touched by his kindness and by the quality of his work. He works on his own, so Nokomis Auto Center is a one-man show. It is heart-warming to receive this client-centered service and to support a local business like Dave s Nokomis Auto Center. I recommend him highly!

Dave easily diagnosed our car issue and fixed it the next day. What could have been a ruined vacation was saved by Dave. I highly recommend Nokomis Auto Care for a great local car repair place. You just don't find them like this anymore.

OK, if you are in the area ,OR NOT, and you need work on your car, truck etc this is the guy to see. I would drive up from ft Myers just so he would do the work.Very, very,very satisfied.Dave is a one man shop and knows what to do

Was travelling from Pennsylvania and developed brake problems that needed addressed right away. Read other reviews and thought would try this placed. Called and Dave, the owner operator of the business, got me in and made my business a priority. I described what was happening and he examined the problem. Explained what it was, quoted a price that he stuck to, and fixed the problem the same afternoon. Dave was knowledgable, informative, friendly, and professional. A business associate recommended Nokomis Auto Center to me some 25 years ago, and I ve been taking my cars and trucks there ever since. New cars are against my religion, and Dave and all the other mechanics have gone the extra mile to humor me and take care of all my older vehicles, keeping them running smoothly and safely until it s finally time to say goodbye. I ve learned that I can totally trust their recommendations on repair alternatives, and the price is always very reasonable. They give the old-fashioned, small-town, honest, reliable, friendly, we know our reputation depends on treating our customers right like family service.

While on vacation in Nikomis the week of July 4th, our car had some issues that we knew had to be looked at before our trip back. Not only did the owner and mechanic, Dave, stop what he was working on, listen to us and give us his professional opinion, but he worked us into his repair schedule, explained and showed everything to us, treated us fairly and was very kind. Highly recommend Dave to anyone needing car repairs near Nikomis, FL! Thank you, Dave! We made it safely back to Ohio! Lisa & Dave

George and I broke down in nokomis our fuel pump went out .the tow company recommended this place. We were a bit apprehensive .but we were led to the right place Dave the owner and mechanic did right by us very friendly and very fair in his prices if anyone needs anything done to your car or truck as in our place .Dave is the man to take it to .I know we would recommend this place to everyone we know .Thank you Dave from Illinois.

I have known the owner, since he was 15 years old. He learned how to be the excellent , honest mechanic he has been now for many years here in our town, from his Father which was the best back in his day. So if anyone needs a mechanic you can trust don't hesitate to make Nokomis Auto your home town place. I promise you won't be sorry.

Visiting from Georgia. Of course, the day before we are supposed to leave my 2003 expedition starts making a noise. I drove up to this shop and he stoped what he was doing, looked at my car, gave me his honest opinion, put half a quart of oil , and never charged me!!

I was very polite but The young man that answered the phone, was really rude. One word answers and short with me. I've never left a bad review before. So let that prove how he was�to me. That one phone call lost my business. Maybe there good at what they do, but I don't want to feel uncomfortable with someone I hand my car and money too.
