UPDATE: I need another part! The hardware wasn t missing from the bottom of the support bar, they were sheared OFF!! A sheet metal specialist would have to get them out. Another new part $82.57. Also cutting my grass after Sally, smells like I m about to loose a belt again. So I m only sharing MY experience and only non-emotional facts. You can draw your own conclusions:My mower deck had pretty much fallen off and it needed to be replaced. I asked for recommendations and a few people recommended Jeff s. I was apprehensive at first because of the reviews. I took a change and I contacted Jeff s. I spoke with Lisa and had a very pleasant conversation with her. I also spoke to Jeff a couple of times, also pleasant. My mower was picked up and dropped off once fixed. I supplied the new mower deck. The young man that does the pickup and drop offs also pleasant to speak to. With each pickup/drop off a receipt for payments made over the phone was provided. Jeff was extremely good about calling to let you know when your mower was getting picked up or dropped off. Although they answered all my questions and were upfront about the $50 flat fee for pickup/drop-off and the $85 deposit for diagnostic that would be applied to the total repair costs, unfortunately neither was good about letting you know how much you would owe for the repairs before they were actually done. Being on a fixed income, this is both important and necessary for me. I worried if I could afford to get my mower back. If money is no problem, then no need to be concerned.17 July mower needed deck replaced and blades sharpened. $135 ($50 + $85)26 July Repairs completed. Got mower back $114.69.30 July, with the first use of my mower after getting it back, it stops after 10 mins. A belt broke.6 August mower belt replaced. Got mower back. $130.9614 August with the first use of the mower after it was returned, I noticed my bagger sitting was way too low, the bags were touching the ground. I couldn t figure it out at first but noticed a bar that seemed out of place. After further inspection, I discovered hardware was missing and my rear cover broken where the hardware would go. These pieces hold that bar up that the bagger is supported by ($34.66).I called Jeff s and Lisa answered the phone. I told him some hardware didn t make it back on to my mower , she immediately said let me put you on with Jeff. I told him the same thing and explained the issue. At first he denied my claims, and tried to blame me for the damage and missing hardware. He then graciously offered again to come pick it up. I declined as I didn t want to go through the whole week long process again as it was costing too much to keep doing that. He then asked Well, what do you want me to do if you don t want me to look at it to try to fix it? , I told him I was just letting him know, just in case he sees or hears of this issue again. Meanwhile the whole time I hear Lisa in the background cursing up a storm. In summary:2015 Lawnmower cost: $953.05Replacement deck from Troybilt $182.52Paid for mowing while mower is fixed $50Charges from Jeff s $135.00Charges from Jeff s $114.69Charges from Jeff s $130.96Replacement cover & hardware $34.66Paid for mowing while mower is fixed $60Update: New bagger mounting bracket $82.57Bottom Line: Mower is fixed and it s working. It wasn t cheap. What Jeff s does right:1. Provides pickup/drop off service2. Upfront about cost of pickup/drop off service fee and deposit costs.3. Fixes mowers. What Jeff s could/should improve on:1. Letting customers know how much the repairs will cost before the work is done just in case the customer cannot afford the repairs to get their mower back.2. Avoid repeated trips for repairs. Conducting full quality assurance checks before mowers are returned to customers.3. Tell Lisa to chill out and watch her mouth while customers can clearly hear her being totally unprofessional.

I've used Jeff's a few times over the last year and have a had great experiences. Was the repair cheap? No! I don't want cheap, I want it done RIGHT! If you're worried about price, call a shade tree mechanic and hope it works in a month. I'm more than happy with their work and customer service. I'll be back next time I need any small engine repair.

Great experience! My '05 riding mower deck rusted through and wouldn't stay engaged. I asked Jeff's team to fix the deck, change the oil (hasn't been changed in years), checked the transmission, sharpen the blades, and anything else they thought broken/worn BUT to warn me if they broke a price cap. They called me the next day with an acceptable quote and, with my go ahead, had it fixed and delivered in just a couple of days! She's purring like a kitten and cutting better than ever! Thanks for the great work, you guys!

I have a DR brush mower witch sat in my garage for two years the wiring had melted due to the welding job I did on the handles. Rust set in on the control panel. Jeff cleaned it up, figured out the wiring, new battery and had it going with in a month and price was really reasonable. Thanks JLM!

These folks have been keeping my 7 year old mower running in top shape and have never done anything that wasn't necessary. They are super friendly and helpful! I peppered them with questions about parts for my pressure washer and got every bit of info I needed, even though they knew it meant I was going to do it myself. Can't recommend them enough, wish I could give more stars!!

I took a 21 inch Craftsman push mower in to have the blade sharpened and they charged me for sharpening two blades for a total of 50 bucks! Don't think that's going to happen again! I saw the owner's reply and I'd like to comment on that number one I did express my unhappiness with the pricing when I was paying for it and the lady knew that quite well. Number two I did not ask them to expedite it, they did that on their own probably to fill the mechanics time to finish out the day. Because I could not pick it up until the next day. Number three the lady who waited on me knew I was upset so much so that she called me after I had left to tell me she had double checked on the pricing and it was correct. Number four I tried to put a picture of the bill on this review, but I couldn't get it to go, but it does say blade sharpened to at $22.50 each.

Brought my push mover to be repaired, the pull sting had broken. I brought a new pull string and the mower to the business. I paid the $65 which would go toward repairs. A $30 part was ordered according to the office assistant. When I went to pick up my mower I was told I would have to pay another $65 for the repairs. Not entirely sure how the labor is $95 on a push mower with a broken string. They refused to give me my mower and said they would sell the mower to recover his loss on fixing the mower. This business is a scam. Do not go here. Zero stars if possible.

Experience staff with great kindness and service. Jeff, the owner, definitely knows his expertise. He will make it right when something isn't RIGHT. Remember, no one's perfect; however, honestly, he normally is. The wait time, due to the seasonal demand, is expected.

Agree with all 5 star reviews! Picked up my dead riding lawnmower. Diagnosed all its problems and brought it back alive and kicking. Better than new. Won't needvto but a new one this year. Maybe for years to come, Jeff's is my go to place for my mower now.

Great service at a fair price. I have taken all my small engines to them for years. With five acres of land I have a good amount of different powered equipment. They are upfront on the labor, and the parts are what you would pay retail anyway. Make sure you understand the quote before you leave the office, and you will not be disappointed when you pay, or the quality of the work.

My ending interaction with this company saved them a star or two. Didn't mind going to Jeffs because they always do good work, but the $65 advanced payment and their prices in the end will keep me from going back.

Had lawnmower fixed over the winter as it stopped running. A month later I went to cut grass first time and it wouldnt re-start after heating up, as it did in the past - same problem, nothing fixed. The lady said 30 day warranty on carbureator work (which wasnt the problem anyway) and I must have broke it again by letting it sit over the winter - not even sure what that meant since it was drained and not used since. This 'oh well, your problem not ours now' business model - no good.

Can't say enough good things about Jeff's. Had an older model riding mower that starting throwing oil out the exhaust. I thought for certain the repairs would exceed the value of the machine. I sent it to Jeff's and had it back in two days running like a new machine. Obviously it wasn't free, but it was not near what I was expecting. It's good to deal with a business that doesn't take advantage of their customers. Great service and value.

I have a Zero Steer Rider that needed repair after a stick lodged it's self between the mower blade/blade spindle mount. It destroyed both spindles and ripped the serpentine belt in two. I'm known for being handy and could have fixed myself, but did not want to touch this mess. I took it to Jeff's and inside of a week the business had not only ordered and repaired the major break down they also 2. Changed the oil/oil filter 3. Air filter 4. both mower blades. I was no where near front of the line when I showed up they had several riding mowers to repair ahead of me.Upon arrival I noticed easy access into the drive of the establishment. A service dirt road on the left made it easy to turn my truck and trailer around and back my mower right up the repair line. When I walked in the office I saw a dog laying in the cubby of the self adjoined to the service counter giving a since of down home folk you would want to do business with.I was giving a sheet of paper to fill out my contact info and identify what I needed repaired. I liked this very much. I have been to like establishments where they either do not annotate anything or they write down for you what needs fixed without letting you see what they wrote. They don't offer to give you a copy or show you what they wrote. leaves you with a since are you going to get repairs based on interpretation? As soon as I was done filling out the paper work the person at the front desk sent out a mechanic to help me push my mower off the trailer, and onto the repair line. At long last someone who knows customer service. The mechanic then went over the breakdowns again and actually listened.I was contacted when all the things needing repaired were identified and estimated for cost, and they didn't repair until I gave them to the okay. Wow.I suggest more area business take on this customer service approach because their are people like me who can write. So instead of write negative reviews I will make you wish you had my positive praise!

I called them about a transmission problem on my Polan Pro mower. They said bring it by and he looked at it on my trailer. He charged me $85 up front and I offloaded the mower. He called me a little while later and said it had a plastic transmission and could not be repaired. He could have told me that before I unloaded it. I feel it was just a scam to charge me $85 for nothing.

Very very disappointed and aggravated with the service I received! Brought my push mower in to be serviced and after using it only one time due to warm weather and little rain I ve only had to cut my grass once in the last five weeks when I tried to cut the second time the lawn more would not fire up or start at all and when I brought it back to them all they told me was well that s not their problem and they wouldn t do anything to fix it. I would take my business anywhere else

BLUF: Rudeness to customer and insulting. I called the day prior to coming in to see if they sold solenoids. Advised to bring in part if possible. Next day brought in part to see if it would match, one being sold didn't match up exactly and was told it would work. Paid cash, store didn't give receipt or state return policy. I brought home to compare and confirmed it wasn't going to fit or connect But it was after their closing hrs so couldn't return same dy. So brought part back next day, and was told we don't accept electrical parts being returned at all, and then said there is a 20% restocking fee. What restocking fee, they have a freq shelf in the back and the box wasn't sealed when they handed it to me upon selling! Per consumer advice "restocking fees are allowed as long as the fee is clearly disclosed and as long as it isn't charged if you're returning an item because of a defect or missing part, or because it wasn't what you ordered. ... You don't have to pay a restocking fee if the item you are returning is defective" It was never disclosed upon sale. I said didn't install it, just holes won't match up, etc.. I clearly explained would of brought back same dy purchased but it was after closing. Then lady become condescending to me and said I didn't know what I was doing and it would work. After the husband returned my money, she proceeded to yell don't come in here anymore and don't order anything again from us. I said hold on, I was trying to be nice, and she responded it would work, my husband been doing it for 50yrs mechanic, etc.. She is lucky that I'm not violent, cause felt like smacking her for the insults/yelling. Customers please don't use this mon and pop crook store, they are nice and friendly when making a sale, but when confronted they fly off the handle. My neighbor and I have both received bad experiences.

As their name implies, they do lawn mowers and small tractors. I asked if they could fix my Smittybilt inverter/generator. Response was "YES" so I dropped it off on 26 Feb along with a $55 deposit. Received a call from them on 29 March to pick up the unit b/c they couldn't fix it. . .the inverter was malfunctioning and they don't have the expertise for that. They kept the $55. To be fair, it was a non-refundable deposit and I knew that going in, but why tell me they can fix it when they didn't really know? $55 I guess.

Poor customer service. Lady who answered the phone wouldn't even let me explain the issue with my mower. I guess her time was too valuable. Lady, you lost business.
