Extremely disappointed with the service at Atlas. Initially quoted a staggering $7000 for a transmission rebuild, which was already shocking. However, shortly after, they called back claiming they could miraculously lower the price to $5900 and offered financing options. Suspicious, I decided to seek a second opinion elsewhere. To my utter disbelief, the actual repair at the other transmission place cost a mere $200. The blatant attempt to overcharge and the vast difference in pricing between their quote and the actual repair cost is utterly unacceptable. Will never trust or recommend them again

I chose Alice transmission because they treated my mother pretty fairly a few years ago. I just drove down from PA and I thought I was having transmission issues. I took it to Atlas and Robert said leave it with me and I did and he told me that it was not my transmission but my engine and I needed a tuneup. This is very trustworthy group.

They communicated quickly about the status of my vehicle, I wasn t happy with the cost, but it was a major repair that needed to be done to keep my vehicle on the road. Otherwise I would have to purchase something new. Very pleasant people.

Brought my car in on a Thursday. Friday it was diagnosed. And called me Monday morning and it was done.. They stuck to the price they gave me over the phone. And so far so good.. Would recommend

This is the only place I will ever take my cars to ever again. Great and speedy service. Told me all my options prompt and gave advice on the best direction to go on both my vehicles and all within 1 week of dropping it off. Drop off on Monday and pick on Friday. Can t ask for much better service than that and to top it all off. Truck was detailed inside and out. Looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Could not be any happier with my decision to choose Atlas Transmissions.

First time i brought my truck there i left Happy last time i brought it there it was the worst experience i ever had in any Shop , had my Truck there a Week was a One day Job , they had the Tow Guy pick it up no damage to my truck when it left my Storage , well me being Diabetic with Bad Legs walking around for a Week was so bad i finally took a Bus to Atlas Transmission only to find out it was ready for 5 days & the i see my Truck was Damaged , i told them while i was still there , there response i would not worry about it & have done nothing to fix it & never called me back about it , & the Granny From Beverly HillBilly Looking women there makes excuses every time i call there , she is the worst front Desk help i ever seen , must be Someone's Great Great Grandma there & how do you do business like this telling a Customer you already told me to relay the Message , well if they bother to call me i would not have to call them again ..My Lawyer will be serving them Papers sad i have to take them to Court over this & I Will have to make complaints to BBB there's video of my Truck before being Towed & i took Pictures of Damage before i left Atlas Transmission & i Told Granny 3 times to have Jeff the Owner or Xavier the Manager there to call me , they never did . i know Accidents happen but it is how you Handle things that defines how you Treat the Person & the Accident ..in the End it will Cost them more then taking care of this issue .. i mean isn't this why Businesses have Insurance for Accidents i mean it should Cost at Most 250.00 , is this the Going rate to Lose a Customer who in return Tells as many People i can about this .. Just Imagine this Happening to you , would you be OK With it .. Ignoring it will not make it go away , SAD I Trusted them with my Truck ..

I do NOT recommend the place. They had a fantastic reputation but changed ownership a few years ago and it's gone downhill. It took me 3 weeks to get an appointment to change my transmission fluid. I dropped my car off and they kept it for TWO days and did absolutely nothing. I had to call for updates and they said they have to check the car out and can't just change the fluid only. Then they told me I need a body value and it would be ready later that day, then promised the day after that. The next day, they said they would call me with an update in the morning, never called. I called @ 4 and they were rude and she had no update. Finally they told me they were waiting on the part, which no-one ever told me the part had to be ordered. After having my car for 2 days and doing nothing, I picked up my car and went to Royal Play Auto spa. My car was done in 3 hours.Service: Transmission

I was very pleased with the service and work done on my car. They offer a free diagnosis and the manager takes the time to explain the problem and your options. Their mechanics go for yearly training classes to stay updated with the latest and greatest.They are very professional and offer great customer service. The secretary is very pleasant and professional, and goes over and beyond to try to get answers to your question. They all have great work ethics.I would never take my car anywhere else.They are always busy which to me that means alot and proves why this family owned business has been around for over 40 years.SO DON'T HESITATE PEOPLE TO TAKE YOUR VECHICLE HERE..IT WILL BE WORTH YOUR MONEY.Service: Transmission

Thank you so much Atlas! My truck was broken down and when I took it to Toyota they quoted me an outrageous amount of money. I wanted a second opinion so I took it to Atlas to get checked out. After they looked at my truck, they figured out the issues and quoted me a lot less to fix it. They fixed it and my 2006 Toyota Tacoma is running better then ever! I would highly recommend Atlas! Absolutely the most horrendous customer service I have ever encountered. They had the car for 3 WEEKS!!! Whenever we called, we were told we ll call you back. That NEVER happened. We were told several times that the part was being shipped overnight and the car would be ready the next day. All lies!!! Did I mention they had the car for three weeks??? Then we called yesterday morning, they said it was being test driven and they would call right back 6 hours later WE CALLED THEM and were told it was ready. WHY DIDN T THEY LET US KNOW????? Absolutely the worst. Don t take your business there! I sure won t ever again!Service: Transmission

Gave 1 star because 0 is not an option. Have had my car for 5 months and everyday there is a new excuse. No work has been done to my car. When we call to get answers, no one can give a straight answer. Not to mention that the front desk receptionist is rude, clueless, and vulgar. She hangs up the phone and disrespects people but gets offended when you dish to her the same treatment. Please avoid bringing your cars Herr. Low class trash with no proper mechanic education.Service: Transmission

HONEST!!!! Extremely honest people. They sent my truck back to me, no charge, not a transmission problem. It was an engine problem. These are my transmission people now.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. JUST A BUNCH OF GOONIES THAT WILL LITERALLY MAKE UP ISSUES ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE.They will go as far as blatantly lying to you about the work that needs to be done just to make profit.Never have I ever experienced such madness and chaos within a company.Rob is hot tempered and yells at customers that are just asking about the work being done. Nancy has no idea what s going on but she will reinforce anything Javier and Rob say. Javier is also a liar and will say anything to secure work even if the work is unnecessary. Customer service is poor, workmanship on vehicles is POOR.The owner needs to get a handle on this place, I know he would be very disappointed or maybe the owner is cut from the same cloth.STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. YOU HAVE THOROUGHLY BEEN WARNED.Service: Transmission

These guys are GREAT!! I've had my Ranger repaired there twice over the last few years. The first time was a clutch and the second time I needed a rebuilt transmission. Both times the service was excellent, the price was very competitive with other shops and I never had any problems after the work was done. I highly recommend them for any transmission work! I was pleasantly surprised when I brought my truck in; they took it for a comprehensive test drive to determine what was wrong. They informed me about what they were going to do first, and what they found and it would be up to me to decide if I wanted to go further. I really liked the fact that they allowed me to make the decision as to what to do, they just gave me the options. Like I said earlier, I shopped around before making my decision. I chose Atlas because not only did they have the best price, but I know they have been in business for quite some time and they gave me a warranty for all work completed. I've never had any problems with the repair work and never needed to use the warranty. I believe that every one will have a great experience at Atlas, as they really want to please their customers.

Xavier Replaced my 2006 F-150 Transmisson with a Brand new rebuilt one with a 3 year Full warranty 2019..It is now almost 2023 and my Transmission is Still Perfect! Highly Recommend Atlas Transmissions...The only ones I TRUST...

My son's car was not accelerating and the check engine light was on. They spent hours to diagnose it and told us they would have to replace the transmission. At that time the car was 9 years old, we decided not to fix it and trade it in as is.. to purchase a new car. I asked them if I could pay them for their effort and time! They said no the diagnosis is free. That was so kind!!!Service: Transmission

Do not - and I repeat - DO NOT take your vehicle here. Horrible communication, paid over $3k for repairs they kept the vehicle 5x longer than stated, we have taken it back again and it is still not fixed properly. Horrible, shoddy work and even worse customer service. They constantly lie about how long they will take to fix your vehicle. BEWARE.

I was referred to Atlas by my trusted shop when my transmission failed. I was very pleased with my experience! They were very knowledgeable, explained everything and got my transmission rebuilt fast! The manager Jim was courteous and a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommended!

Ray and the guys at Atlas are top notch. I have been around cars,mostly high performance cars for 44 years and let me tell you these guys are the real deal. Very friendly and honest. Top notch work at a fair price with a warranty, What more can you ask for? My 2001 Mustang Cobra had a clutch installed and rear Ring and pinion. 90% of shops screw this up. My car runs factory fresh! Perfect job!

I usually bring my car to a local tire / auto repair shop next to my business but when I heard that they wanted $660 for a repair (bushing over the rear differential was the diagnosis) I decided to try a local transmission shop for a second opinion. WOW, was I presently surprised! Raymond, the manager was straight forward and evaluated the vehicle for FREE with the same repair recommendation, saying that it's around $500.Best of all, he got the part the very next day and had it completed by 1pm. The final bill was under $385 plus tax. Another great surprise, way below his initial estimate. Thanks Ray from Atlas Transmissions!

I spoke with Xavier on the phone. He told me to come on in and he would check it out free of charge. I explained to him what another mechanic advised us to do. He told us that it would be a waste of money. I have the upmost respect for someone/a company to be honest and up front, he could have easily charged me the money for it but instead he helped. It shows he isn t just doing a job he s passionate. I absolutely recommend them!Service: Transmission

Awesome people and fantastic service. I went to them because they seemed to know exactly what they were doing. They had my truck(1991 Ford bronco) up and ready to go in no time and I completed a 300 mile trip with no problems what so ever. Very happy with the work and glad that they went the extra mile to help me out.

THANK YOU to all the guys at Atlas that took such good care of me!! I took my van to two other transmission shops in town and they both told me I needed a rebuilt transmission. Stressed and confused, I asked my co-worker what does she think I should do and she recommend taking it to Atlas Transmission in Lake Worth to see what they had to say because she had used them before for transmission work and was very please with them. So I took it over to them and they told me they would check it for free and then let me know what I needed. An hour later I got a call back expecting bad new and to my surprise they told me I DON'T need a rebuilt transmission and all I needed was new solenoids. They fixed my car for under $200 bucks!!!! I was so surprised, I couldn't believe it. I was so relieved because I really didn't have the money for a rebuilt transmission. On top of their honesty, they actually waited till 6:30 when they close at 6 because I couldn't get out of work. I am so thankful to Atlas for their great service and working with me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that wants to deal with great honest nice people. Being a single mother of 3, I didn't know how I was going to buy school supplies for them if I needed a transmission for my car but now my kids can have what they deserve thanks to Atlas. Their honest means more to me then they know. I wish there were more business like that. Just thought I would share my experience with everyone. The guys at atlas do great work have been going to them for years and referred many friends to them. Had a different company rebuild the transmission in my truck only to go out a year later. Had atlas do the second rebuild and the truck shifts even better than the day I bought it. I highly recommend them to anyone having transmission issues

Just had the transmission on my 1999 Honda Accord repaired here. The car runs like it's brand new! Raymund was professional and courteous from the moment I stepped into the office to when I left with my car. Ray, Bill and their employees do good, honest work at a fair price. Will definitely recommend to my friends and return if anything happens to my car again!

Atlas - run by a professional team and they do what they say. Ray is straight up and honest business man. Assisted me with my 97 Lincoln - it was shifting rough - I thought it may be a major transmission issue. They road tested the car and discovered one engine mount was busted. That was all it was. They assisted in ordering the correct parts and scheduled me in for the following Friday. I took the car in and it was completed in a timely manner and best of all - I did not have anything wrong with the transmission! Not only did they diagnose the issue - it was not even a transmission issue and they helped me fix my car! Thank you Atlas - H. O.

I had a transmission problem and took to the dealer who wanted double what atlas wanted. I called and spoke with Jim who was amazing and sent a tow truck to get my truck at the dealer and the gentle man was there in 20 min to pick it up. I had my truck back in 48 hours and its better than new!!! I will send everyone I know to you guys. Thank you for all you do!
