Swanson was by far the best experience I have had when needing a jump. I called and spoke with the owner and he promptly was able to send someone to me when I was stranded in the cold rainy night. Chad whom he sent showed up quick and went above and beyond to help me get going and out of the miserable cold rain. He even went as far as pulling his own battery out of his truck after all else failed and got my car running. I have already placed them on my speed dial and they will always be my first call from now on! They did not trick me on pricing like other lake city roadside assistance companies have in the past and was professional and polite and I owe these guys more than they charged me! I will not forget it and they will earn my business again if I am ever in need! Thank you Chad & Mr Swanson!

I prematurely posted a good experience but I take it back. I was helped by Doug and tipped him well as I was so anxious/grateful over the whole situation I leave and not 5 min later my car is have the same issue again. I didn t expect for a magic fix and understand patching things up may not work, however I am disappointed in him not answering my calls or text to request more advice as it had not even been 30 min since I left his shop on his property. Sigh.

The cost for the tow was reasonable. However, our bank card was randomly charged again a month later, $250 extra for no apparent reason. It wasn't explained as to why & truth is it took a few weeks to catch up to the person for a refund. A lot of unanswered calls & texts led up to a reimbursement...thank goodness

My husband and I were traveling from AL to Florida with our three dogs, baby, and horse. We stopped at a Love's gas station to fill up and my car started having issues. Turns out they had diesel in the gas pumps. Swanson towing came out and worked from 9pm until 4am on my car. They even took me to a hotel so my baby could rest. I highly recommend them!

My battery died while waiting for my wife at the Drs. office. My farm bureau towing service took about 3 calls and an hour to finally tell me they couldn't find anyone to help. It was getting damn hot inside and outside the car. The third call said he would find someone. Finally, they found Swanson. They(grandfather and young grandson) came quickly, did the job quickly, gave me some advice about an oil change. I would call them directly if I ever need a towing service again. Doug and his guys are very polite and respectful. I broke down just outside of live oak and I live in Tallahassee so I was pretty down about it. But I called Doug and he had my truck off I-10 and safe at his shop within and hour or two. I m extremely grateful for the experience I had with him. He s respectful and reasonable and not out to scam or overcharge anyone. I d recommend highly. Doug, the owner cam to tow my vehicle that had been in an accident, hours away from home. Had to go to a State Farm approved place which ended up being 20-30 miles away. I enjoyed my interaction with him. Best experience with a tow company ever. I called another towing company who wanted to charge me $75 to just jump off my battery so you can imagine how relieved I was when I called Swanson's and he worked with me and I only paid a fraction of what I was quoted from the other towing company. He told me what the issue was and even gave me a temporary fix and thanks to him I'm no longer stranded. He's super kind and if I ever need anything, whether it's a tow or a jump, I'm immediately calling him.

When I called the owner was very nice and helpful very good and fair guy. The worker he sent out (guy that towed my car) was very nice and pleasant, very welcoming did a great job getting my car to me I highly recommend going with these guys over anyone else in this town being they were the only ones who sounded like they were in a good mood even after a long day, thanks guys for such an awesome job.Service: Car towing

I wanted to send Doug a HUGE thank you. My family and I were driving back from Tampa on a Sunday afternoon, when we unexpectedly ran out of gas. As we rolled to a stop on the side of the road, I had a sinking feeling. The thought of being stranded on the side of the road with my wife and infant daughters was nerve-racking. I tried to stay calm and called Doug. He was professional, polite, and extremely helpful. Doug delivered 2 gallons of diesel fuel to us in less than 45 minutes. Mr. Swanson and his son are wonderful! Very kind people, they get the job done quicker than any of their competition, they told me five minutes and they were there in four! not to mention i saved a good chunk of money than i would have if i went with another choice. Highly recommend to anyone . Very professional and family owned you wont regret picking the Swansons!

I found myself in need of a new alternator on the side of I-10 and was worried about just googling a local tow company. My phone battery was also dying and I was completely desperate for help. This is the best tow truck company I have ever used. They called every 20 minutes to give an update on their eta. They picked me up took me to get another rental while another tow truck took my broken down vehicle to another address. Wish they were a national company. I was very pleased with the owner of this company, I broke down about 10 miles from Lake City and I m from Ozark AL. When I finally got in touch with someone t who could tow us and bring a tire we had already been on the highway for 2 hrs. Not only did he bring us a spare tire when it didn t fit he found us one that did I pray your business continues to stay blessed and thank you very much for all you did for me and my family!Service: Tire change

So they came and repo my car I got for 1 75 auto. Well they didn't have the contact through the finance company to repo the car. They ended up not turning the car over to the dealership or finance company. Was driving the car around and got in a bad auto accident in the car. The correct towing company contacted me asking questions and looking for the car. Which I haven't had in a year and a half. So they will come and illegally get your car and pretend its theirs. Don't trust this company.

I contacted Swanson towing to have a 10x12 storage building moved from lake city to to Thomasville ga on 2/7/2021. We agreed on a price and TIME OF ARRIVAL to have to building moved at 2p.m. With a open window until 3 pm. No show. I was told that they would get to it and have it loaded by the end of the day so I went back to Ga. 2/8/2021 I was promised yet again that it would now be picked up by noon and en route to be delivered via text. Still no one showed up. Followed up a bit later and yet another promise to have it done. On their words because they don t break promises . I called at 4:20 to see if they had gotten my shed yet and they said they ll get to it before the day is over..... again. Then they got upset that they don t keep their word and told me to find someone else and hung up on me. Gladly. If anyone needs anything moved find someone else. Contrary to what Swanson towing thinks, there are more people in lake city willing to move a shed at just as good off a price as then. Too bad I can t post pictures of my messages with them. Very poor customer service and very untimely.Update. He called me and I declined his call after I was hung up on. He texted me claiming that he didn t hang up on me and he didn t even talk to me. Stated that it was one of the guys that works for him. The claims that I called him every 30 minutes when I ve only called 4 times today to find out when he would be there. @9:11 11:10 2:40, and 4:21. There are reviews on other sites that post similar experiences. I am a very patient person and have NEVER left an online review about anything before. We drove 3 hours to pick up a car and parts. Doug was supposed to get a U haul trailer and meet us at 10:00 to 10:30 to pick up the car. After 4 hours of waiting we finally gave up and left. If I could rate this company a zero I would. After a couple of conversations with them stating we re on our way, we re on our way and several other attempts where they did not answer voicemail stated it was full.

Got stuck in the sand and my 4wheel drive wouldn t engage. Called these guys up and came right out and took 5 minutes to hook up and pulled me right out. Awesome company. You would be crazy not to call these guys

Mr. Doug was very nice and very professional. We broke down just outside of Lake City, Fl and he towed us all the way back to Valdosta, Ga. I would definitely recommend this company for ANY and ALL your towing needs!!

This is the most honest, hard working family man that I have ever met in a really long time! I 100% believe that if he tells you something that you can you can rest assured that he will make it good! I can't say better things about the owner of this company:) he is very intelligent, calm, kid friendly (lol), and a genuinely great person.

Called my insurance company because my keys got locked in my truck... Swanson tow company came out less than 30 minutes after my insurance company said that they found a company that is coming but it was going to be about 2 hours...nope they came in less than 30 minutes.. unfortunately the driver was the owner (Doug) he was respectful and had a good conversation got the door open within 1 minute..
