We had work done here once needed brakes and there was a senor issue for the fuel, I told them that was the issue and it needed to be replaced we had the same issue years earlier. They charged to flush the brake fuild. Had to take it back cost a total of over $1000. They didn't change the gas senor they said it was fine and not the issue. A week later we broke down on the hwy, had truck towed to dealer. They said it was the fuel senor and also said the brake fuild was Grey and had not been flushed. The brakes started squealing a week after, they used the cheapest pads and they said they replaced the rotors, but dealer said no way and showed me the old ones they were not done. Also asked them to clean battery terminal they said they did but it looked like they wiped them off the dirt with a rag.

The business has changed owners but still the best service for an affordable price around this area! I travel 30 minutes because these guys are great at what they do! Highly recommend.

I took my car here for an engine swap, I paid for the engine with warranty through a big company who sells engines. I got the engine delivered to this shop, after they received the engine, and quoted me a price of almost 2 thousand. The owner says the engine looks rusty and that it s gonna cost me another grand to change parts which I thought were already quoted on the original price. So I had a second opinion by a mechanic who went and saw the engine and said it looks like any other engine he s ever seen . Long story short I went thru the other mechanic and he got it done in less than 48 hrs for a QUARTER OF THE PRICE THIS PLACE WAS QUOTING ME. My engine came with warranty through the wholesaler and the car is running great.

These guys and gals are amazing. Their labor rate is about 1/2 the cost of the dealer and they have never tried to upsale me on anything. Awesome shop with heavy duty lifts big enough to handle my lifted excursions, and super duty pickups. I took my car to this place bc my oil pressure was low, the guy who answers the phone tells me it's for sure the oil pump, I paid over a thousand dollars to them for this service. After I pick up the car, 5 mins down the road the oil pressure light goes off, I turn back around and told the owner what was going on. They tell me they didn't ran a diagnostic on the car before changing the oil pump that it could probably be the engine. After I spent over a thousand dollars based on their recommendation the owner did not wanted to take responsibility and told me "the guy at the front desk is not qualified to give advice because he isn't a mechanic" They kept shifting blame meanwhile I'm out of money and still don't have my vehicle fixed.

Definitely recommend Richard's. Called today to see if they could install a riding mower tire on my rim. Richard said bring it by and had me in and out in less than an hour. Will be going back for more services in the future. Honest and reliable. Fair price as well.

The staff are amazing. Came out and talked to me about every detail. Had me in and out same day. Even was able to wait for my vehicle in air conditioned room watching the news. While we were there ordered some new tires at the lowest rate I've found for my husband's truck too. Highly recommend.

Love this place. Dave and the guys are honest & friendly. And their prices are fair and reasonable. And when I was there I was talking to other customers and they had nothing but good things to say about this place. Example how great they are here a repeat customer of theirs pulled up with something hanging off the front of his car. Dave had one of the guys quickly look at the problem. He seen it was an easy fix and took care of it right on the spot no charge. Where can you find a place now a days that will do something like that. They definitely have a lifetime customer in me and I will tell anyone I know to come here.

I've lived in Hernando County since the 90s and have used my share of mechanics with different cars thru the years.. Richard's has ALWAYS been better priced, amazing workmanship and knowledgeable! He's who I've gone to exclusively for a few years after mediocre service at ridiculous pricing elsewhere in Spring Hill. It says Hudson, but they're very close to Spring Hill! A fair and good mechanic is worth their weight in gold!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

These guys were awesome and didn't laugh at me bc I put too much oil.. they calmed me down and fixed my issue. I 100% reccomend this spot, I will be back for sure.

My husband brought our car to Dave Aug 28. The weekend before my husband worked on the car replacing a part because it was running rough. When he got it put back, it wouldn't start. Dave promised he'd get to our car right away. We just got the car back today, Nov 1. We threatened twice to have it towed elsewhere, but he promised it would get done. He made excuse after excuse on why he hadn't gotten to our car. It turned out the whole reason it wasn't working was because my husband had ordered the wrong part. The same job it took my husband a weekend to do, an amateur mechanic, it took a professional shop 2 months?????? $800 later, and that was just labor, because we bought the parts separate and delivered it to him. It's been a real struggle these last 2 months being down to 1 car. We brought that up to him as well. His answer...if we have auto rental with our insurance he would rent a car to us? We are happy to finally have our car, and we wont be back.

Made an early am 8:00 appointment for an oil change and AC check. Had to work at 10. Truck sat outside till 830. Midway through the job, Dave pulled the mechanic off my truck to do another job. I observed the mechanic chatting with other mechanics and customers for quite some time. I started sweating getting to work on time. I stood at the front counter for 20 minutes while Dave stood there chatting about guns with a lady. Never occurred to him to see what I wanted. I finally called him over. Wound up late for work and didn't get the oil change. Not impressed.

I had them serviced my car brakes and wheel bearing and paid about $800 on April 2016. 6 months later, I had problem and want them check it. Dave, probably the owner, very was rude to refuse to check it. He said that no warrant and even do not want to take a look. I have never seen any mechanic like him. I guess that I have to find other mechanic. By the way, he kept change his mechanic and some of them did very bad work.

Super friendly staff (Dave is a real pleasure to deal with), did my tire mounting in record time, and at an excellent price. Will definitely come here for all my tire needs in the future.

I want to thank the guys atRichards Auto for doing an excellent job on my work van. New tires, new brakes that we're in terrible condition and a oil change. I don't let nobody work on my 2017 ZO6 but Richards cause of the trust I have with them. Call and ask for Dave. Sincerely, Stanley Zand.

Dave and Matt treated me like family. They did a great job repairing my 2005 towncar for 35% less than 2 other places told me it would cost. I would, and do, tell anyone who asks me where they could get their car fixed to go to Richards auto. Thanks Guys! Andy Solie
