Hello, this is Shirley and I just want to give #1 transmission an excellent excellent review. I took my truck over and Chris handled the whole situation. He explained everything to me in detail and I m a female and he let me videotape him as to how he s going to do the transmission how he has to take it out. He served me with integrity and honesty, which is very important. These days in business is not all about the money. It was about his honesty and he did an excellent job and I recommended another guy name Josh and he s working on it as I type this I highly recommend #1 transmission for all things transmission they really took care of me Thank you. #1 transmission deserves 10 stars

Thanks to the owner, very politely guy and trustworthy when it comes to your vehicle. He had my 2000 GMC Sierra back running within 24 hours. What great service and experience, u gotta customer for life. She shifting GOOD!

I would absolutely recommend this place to Everyone!!! Chris is very friendly and Honest!!! Which is important to me as a female, mechanics usually take advantage of women. BUT Chris was very professional and honest and knew Exactly what my car needed!! Thank Youuuuu!! If I could give 20 stars I would!!!

My 2007 fj started having transmission issues all of a sudden. Bc of my trucks age i definitely need a rebuild. When I took my truck to my regular mechanic after it was having issues reversing and shifting into first gear, my regular mechanic told me all he could do is do a rebuild for 4800. In these times unfortunately I did not have 4800 available to fix it at his shop. My friend thankfully recommended I see Chris from number one transmission to take a look. Not only did he quote over a 1k less he was able to put a fluid in to help with my degrading seals giving me the grace period to save money to put towards the new rebuild. I rely on my tuck for work and not having the money for the rebuild right away and being told that's was my only option by my other mechanic put me in a incredibly difficult situation. After a drive and look Chris CLEARLY explained to me what the issues are and what can temporarily be done to address it so I can get my truck back on the road and back to work. I'm now able save to do the rebuild when I have the time and Money. If it wasn't for him I would have no truck on the road to get to work and a loan.I cant be thankful enough that Chris was recommended to me.

Omg where do I begin. It is so many GREAT things I have to share. The crew are people friendly, the service is awesome, and the wait time is reasonable. The best transmission shop by far!! Do not base your decision off of negative reviews when it comes to this shop! Doesn't matter what problem you may have with your transmission, they will go above and beyond to make sure that problem goes away for good! And if you need to rebuild your transmission, by the time you're done spelling Mississippi, they'll have it completed and done right! I'm 1000% confident you won't be disappointed!

I'm been stranded twice by my Truck and Car. Chris is the only person that stopped his scheduled work and fix my F150 Transmission and now my sons clutch in his Camero. Dependable, Reliable ! I didn't pay enough!!

Visited this place for my car the first time was great they were able to service my vehicle couple months I came back. For exact same issue needed transmission fluid same amount they gave me push back about doing it but they service my vehicle with transmission I visit a week later to have more added he declines my vehicle saying he looses money but how I m willing to pay I m not asking for anything free I followed his instruction when inquiring on service why offer services then change on a paying customer that s only trying to have reliable transportation to make it to a to b not great customer service I do thank you for my previous services but it took no more than 5-10 minutes to lift car remove cap and fill with transmission fluid. This place made me think it was ok to come I paid cash every time with no problem but now you telling me your guys looses money why not the first or second time You should not have accepted or least informed me of what you are able to do and not do upfrontService: Transmission

Chris and his dad are very likable people, great customer service and fast work. I even got the opportunity to witness chris work with a customer that couldn't afford to pay for his vehicle full price. He gave him the vehicle,trusted him based on doing prior business with him. The customer stated he lost his job to the pandemic. I was very surprised in how understanding they were with him. It was A rare experience. I would recommend them to everyone. Great company to deal with. Christian pushed through to get my car sorted on a Friday evening, yet did not charge overtime or extra, despite my offer of such. The Classic Scout now runs great. Nicest people ever and did a great job at a fair price.

From the first phone call I made to them all the way until I got my truck back was a great experience. They had my transmission out of the truck in about 35min. From the time I dropped it off to the time I picked it up was somewhere around 4hrs total. Everyone was super friendly. They have a great crew of guys. The price was fair and reasonable. They definitely have my recommendation.

Unfortunately my husband's older Ford E250 work van decided to die while he was on the way home from work. He knew immediately it was the transmission. We looked around for local mechanics and called a few. When I called Number 1 Transmission, the woman who answered the phone was so nice. She said come on in and Chris, the boss, can take a look at it and give an estimate if need be. We live close and were there, with 2 small kids in toe, within 15 minutes. We waited maybe 5 minutes for the boss to finish checking out another customer's car then he came to talk to us. While we waited for the boss the woman behind the counter, the same from the phone was super personable. Honestly I felt like I was talking to someone I knew for 10 years. She popped on the TV for my kids to watch, offered us drinks, gave my kids snacks and also gave my kids bean bags to amuse them while we waited. I MEAN COME ON. I have never experienced that level of customer service in a car repair shop ever. Once the boss got done checking out the van he came and talked about the price for the repair we already knew was needed. We agreed and the paperwork was being processed to get the work started. At this point any shop owner would be like ok thanks see ya, but Chris still talked to us a little more and went to the back and gave my kid an Italian ice pop. I mean as a parent this solidified the fact that we chose the right shop. I know it's about the work but with everything equal between 2 shops, I'm 100% going to the place that made me and most importantly my family feel welcomed. That SHOP is the folks at #1 transmission. I even got a good recommendation for another local mechanic, Mike Z, to do work on my "mom minivan". Thanks so much !Mary and Doug SacavemService: Transmission

I called number one transmission to get a quote. Kristian told me that he will do the job no more than a certain amount. They did the job in great time. When time came to pay he charged me more than what he told. When I brought it up he had no problem fixing the numbers. I ended up paying less. The work that they was phenomenal. I underpaid actually. This company keeps its word and I never experienced that from a mechanic shop. Best shop ever and I wish I could rate them higher

These guys are an absolutely awesome family owned business. They were able to fit me in to the shop right away even though they are completely packed all the time from referals and get me a solid rebuilt transmission on my truck. If anyone has any doubts don't anymore these guys are solid. They were even able to cover the warranty no questions asked and worked with me the whole way through and got me back on the road in a matter of a few days,which for such a big job is awsome.

Very reliable and fast service rebuilt our transmission for a 2008 f 350 for a affordable price got the truck in and out.Had a little problem after and fixed it within 24 hrs with no hassle at all.Great staff very friendly and professional.

I was not able to use Number One Transmission for service because when my car was checked out by Chris the owner. He assure me that I do not have a transmission issues. I had a great experience hiring #1 transmission to do work on my Chevy Avalanche I am pleased and impressed with the performance of my new transmission. Chris is one of a kind!! & His son & the guys there are all friendly & actually WANT to help you & not screw you....read that again.My transmission fluid was leaking & my mechanic told me the whole thing's shot, that'll be 3gs!! I said hell no, took my car to Number One & I was in & out within 35min, $25 later it was a simple fix. Honest business in a shady trade!! Bravo fellas

Excellent, friendly and HONEST service. They had my car in and out quickly. Charged me a fraction of what another service station wanted to charge. I m so glad I took it there for a second estimate. Highly recommend Number One Transmissions to anyone needing mechanical work done on their car.

I lost second gear on my Dodge Ram pickup on a Friday while traveling to the Keys. The Key Largo Napa Auto recommended I call Chris at Number One Transmission in Oakland Park. Chris diagnosed my problem over the phone and told me he'd repair it and get it back to me the next day for a price that was better than I'd been able to get from shops near my home in N. Florida. I misunderstood him in that he was not referring to doing the work on a weekend. I arrived at 3pm on Friday and he did the work on the agreed upon price and got it back to me on Saturday anyway. His staff is excellent. I will take all my future work to Chris and recommend you do the same.

I went to Number One Transmission last year March 2019 and got my truck fixed. A different part broke in my transmission earlier this year. My one year warranty had expired a few months after, but Chris still honored the warranty. He s a man of his word. You don t really get that in today s society. Also the price was affordable.

Best group of guys!!! Say hi to wrench (the dog). There are 3 generations working there! Chris (both Chris's) took the time to explain in detail my transmission issues. They showed me why they use the upgraded parts and took ownership on every transmission they fix or rebuild. I find it refreshing that they know that there quality work is reflected on every transmission they work on. As Chris told me my signature is on every transmission we do. Couldn't be more impressed.
