I haven t took my car there, but I spoke with the manager and I was impressed with his real life knowledge. Not like the dealers tell you to change your transmission fluid when you actually don t need to. They saved me at least $1000 because they know what they are talking about. Do yourself a favor and call them before you do anything. By the way, they check your transmission fluid for free. Good luck!

Had a good experience with Gold Coast ..had them fix the transmission on our 26ft box truck. Vinnie took it again as it needed adjustment and fixed it again under warranty Pleasure to work with them.

This shop is the BEST in FLORIDA!! If you have any transmission issues you can feel comfortable bringing your car here. The staff are wonderful and the work is excellent.

Horrible if I could have them zero stars i would!!!! Run away got my transmission fix after the first time after less than a year my transmission blew up so they described to me which I still have the voice mail to prove it. Had to ship it down to miami they going to tell you that your rear main seal is leaking and you need a new transmission line. So I change it come to find out I didn t need it. After the rebuild the rebuild transmission gave out call them the owner Vinnie got a horrible attitude problem when i confronted him with a actual technician who said they didn t change the part they just seal it (oh yes I m telling it on and this is the God honest truth) when confronted he hangs up the phone and claim his call drop but he was on a line phone! The lies Vinnie tell is presidential so be prepared!!! After getting my transmission rebuilt in 3 days my Transmission start overheating I called Liz is amazing but Vinnie horrible customer service. He gets upset same issue again with my muffler they pack it up with some kind of paste. Horrible I take it back they came it s fix 7 days after transmission shop the so call line that they replaced comes loose because they didn t seal it almost causing me to get into a major accident on the highway I call him and told him what happened he start yelling over the phone and hang up just Childish and immature. Mind you he never has that same energy when i m in his face he a Coward if you love your life or your love one life go somewhere. Also this is the best part I told my so New Rebuilt Transmission to Ammco transmission shop and they exact word was this is never rebuilt because the pressure switch in the transmission rings has more then 3 rings damaged. Which mean that it s more parts that s damaged and I watch them take it apart. Honestly if I could give them NO stars I would. And I dare you to say it a lie because I will expose you even more. The crazy part about was I was literally about to send him more business but he is super unprofessional once you pay him Good luck getting any thing done properly. I m tell you now Don t go here my experience was Horrible and almost cost me MY LIFE!!!!!!

Vinny in the team were so helpful and compassionate. Everyone knows when your transmission start slipping you know it's gonna cost you. The team really did their best to help me when they could have charged me for every little thing they were compassionate. This is how business is supposed to be done.

Service a tad slow but excellent work and access to older and unusual parts. Don't do body work; but otherwise does everything not just transmissions. Vinnie is a good dude.

Oh I never wrote any details.They're quick, professional, able to articulate their findings and what they think is the best option and their pricing is excellent. I've had transmission work done on two cars with them, both times I would rate 5 stars.

These are good people that do quality work. There are transmission experts that do it right and offer a warranty to backup their work.I had a bad deal buying a used Van and after they fixed it I feel like I came out on top. Will definitely return any time I need a transmission service or Repaired.

I'm usually hesitant on writing bad reviews because I believe not everything is the business fault, but I honestly felt taken advantage of by this company. I called regarding a problem with the transmission of my car, on the phone I was told they could help me, they were friendly, but they told me they couldn't give me a quote without reviewing the car, which is completely understandable, they offer to pay for the towing with the condition I did business with them, turns out that once they had my car, they told me I needed to pay $750 so they could run a diagnostic and check what was going wrong with it. I do not doubt maybe their expertise or quality of work, but as many comments and reviews here say, seems like a standard they do to charge that price to review the cars. This could have been disclosed to me prior to the towing when I asked about the price, but of course seemed like a great tricky-scammy business strategy to get my car towed there to eventually feel almost obligated to pay the 750, and if you don't go with them then you'll have to pay for the towing. The costumer service guys is not a very good listener either, gets impatient. Anyway, please be careful with these people, know they'll charge you 750 only to know what's wrong with your car, even if the issue turnes out to be a very simple fix. Don't get ripped off!Service: Transmission

Gold Coast is awesome!! They towed my car for free so that I could get the work I needed done with them. I appreciated that. They did great work. Lis and Vinny were awesome at explaining what was going on with my car. The car ran great after they were done. My clutch was better than ever. I definitely recommend them if you have any transmission problems. Thanks!

READ THIS REVIEW!!!Thankyou Vinny for being honest with me! I recently moved to Florida and bought an older Ford Crown Victoria and needed a full run through of the car. Gold Coast checked out the car and it only needs new tires and a sway bar. They were honest. They did not charge me a ridiculous amount and got the car done in a timely manner. I appreciate honest communication and will bring my car back to them when I swap out the tires and sway bar or any other mechanical needs. I support honest companies. I am in a vulnerable spot being newer to Florida. Bring your car here you won t be disappointed. Professional shop that provides excellent service and stands behind their work. As a small business owner it was important for me to be able to look ahead and guarantee my vehicle would be available for at least the next two years. I went with Gold Coast for a transmission rebuild because I know they have been around for a long time and I wanted a shop that would back up their warranty. I am glad to say that is what they do! Original service was professional and fairly priced. I took it in for the 1 year check-up and they did a little extra tuning. Then at 23,000 miles from the original repair I had a failure due to a sensor. Brought it in not expecting much considering it was so close to the expiration of the warranty. Vehicle was ready the next day with no issue or charge. Easy, fast, Repair was covered by your warranty, no charge. Here is your key and paperwork, thank you. Van is running great again and I am very pleased!

I had a transmission rebuild approximately 2 years ago, and I just wanted to post an update. So, unfortunately , like the cheakskate I was, I originally had it rebuild at a different shop with disasotrous results; and of/cours they refused to awknowlege their poor craftmenship So, I finally bit the bullet and went to the best transmission / mechanic shop in South Florida-- GoldCoast . They truly are masters of their craft, but be warned, they know what they're worth. A perfunctory examination of the facility will indicate their professional standards: a shop floor clean enough to eat from; actual educated, mature mechanics; tools secured and finely mainteined. It's been over 2 years, and my Jeep transmission is still shifting great. I'll most likely be back for a full service in the future.

Hamilton and his team took care of our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My transmission needed to be replaced and I'm glad we went with them. It's under a two-year warranty which makes me comfortable when investing in that kind of repair. Thanks GCT. Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Excellent shop! They did a great and quality job on a full build of my 2001 f250, 7.3l diesels trans! Its a whole different truck! What it seems many people don't understand, is that especially right now, parts availability is terrible, and it takes time to get them in, I was patient, had good communication with the shop and got my truck when I needed it! Oh and they towed it for free, if you need a trans rebuilt, you can trust this place!!

Fast, courteous service. Great staff. They provided me with a courtesy ride home and picked me up when my car was ready. The driver, Charles was great, very customer oriented. My car is shifting perfectly. This business was recommended time by a friend and I will now recommend it to everyone who needs transmission work. They also do all kinds of mechanical work but I can't speak to that aspect as I did not partake in those services. However, I do trust them.

Vince, you are the man!We are not from south Florida (4 hrs north) and shortly after moving our daughter into college she informs us that her car (Audi A4) will not move.We called all over Boca to be told that the car has a special transmission (CRT) that very few people work on. Then we found Gold Coast.The cost was what we were told and they did a great job. Car was done when they said it would be.Only giving 4 stars, because they didn't protect the carpet well enough (grease and dirt). Overall great job!

This Review is almost 7 months over-due but hopefully it makes it even more powerful of a review by doing so. I had a Total Transmission Overhaul done on my 07 Dodge Nitro...People were saying you are crazy for doing that on such an old car-Its time for a new car, treat yourself to a new car.Walking into a mechanic shop you have never been to can make you very skeptical, But I almost felt immediately at ease and trust that I was truly in the right hands with Vinnie, the Center/Shop Manager. He explained in detail the diagnosis... why whats happening, how its happening, what the plan of action would be....everything was straight forward, nothing hidden or shady. He sympathized that it was an expense that nobody wants to invest and did everything he could to estimate the job fair/affordable for both of us.During the quarantine when the gyms were closed I picked up jogging, and every time I jogged passed and now on my drives back home from work I pass by and am so Thankful for the Job/Quality of work they did on my truck- Vinnie overseeing the job being done by his top notch team of super qualified mechanics- I can Truly say They made my Truck drive like New Again!! so glad I chose Gold Coast-This is my first review Ive ever done on anything, but I felt the word had to get out that You will be 110% satisfied with the work they do on your car. I've taken my car here a few times, but the most recent experience put me in an incredibly dangerous situation. In August I brought my 2004 Honda in for a road readiness check before driving from FL to WI. I specifically asked about the tires. Vinny told me the tires should be replaced when I finished the drive, but that they would be fine for the 20 hour drive.I made it TWO HOURS before the tires gave out on 95. They needed to be replaced before I could go any farther.The work Vinny and his team completed was fine, but after this experience he has lost all credibility in my eyes. I will not be back.I also called him and told him about the issue, and I repeated it to the clerk at Gold Coast. They have not reached out in any way.

I have an old classic car that sat unused in the garage at my father's house for over 20 years. Vinnie and the guys and gals here took very good care of both me, and my car. They did what I would call a basic restoration on the car, doing what was needed to get it road worthy again. Basically every rubber mechanical component was replaced, from brake lines and cylinders, suspension bushings, steering components, fuel tank and fuel lines, as well as having the transmission rebuilt and clutch replaced, and the carburetors rebuilt. I have had the car back a few weeks now and have put a few hundred miles on the car without issue. They really did go through everything and made sure I would be good to go before telling me it was ready....they didn't just do a rush job and push me out the door. I will definitely be using Gold Coast Transmissions again!Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Battery

The only reason I do not give them 5 or maybe even 6 stars is because their lack of communication with the customer. They took care of my Ford Scape, its shifting gear was stuck in parking position, they send me a towing truck, they took two days to diagnostic the problem. Maybe it was a bit of time but I think as my car arrived around 3pm they did not troubleshoot that day, I went there late in the first day to know about my car but came back empty hands. On the second day I called them around 4pm and they told me they were still unable to find the issue, but for sure it was not the transmission itself. On the third day I called them again to know about then they told me they had identified the issue and they will test my car, they asked me to call 30 minutes later. 30 minutes later the total amount came in less than 300.For me this is a good and honest repair shop. I only would like them to improve their customer communication, maybe a few calls like "we got your car and we are going to start working on it at X time" or "We have troubleshoot your car and the problem is X component"Other than that I will call then again if another issue arisesService: Transmission

I dropped my car off to get an oil change and check the breaks at 9am. I had to call at 4:30pm to find out my car never got worked on and it had flooded. I picked up my car and it was trashed. Twigs, leaves and dirt everywhere on the outside. This morning it smelled wet. I took the car to be cleaned and the floor in the back seat has so much water soaked in the floor it s crazy but the seats are dry! They tried to say I left my windows down. I gave these people so much money to fix my jeep let alone family members bringing their vehicles to have work done. I will never give these people business again. I have two kids and I m a single mom . One kid is extremely special needs and I m just trying to make sure I have a safe car to drive for them and this is how I get treated.Service: Oil change

I am blown away. After receiving the terrifying news from my trusted mechanic that it was time to get rid of my car... transmission slipping, major oil leaks and it is 10 years old, I had to face the harsh reality that my car was worth nothing... I began to explore options, buy a new or used car? Repair my car? What to do? I don t want or need a new one, I don t drive much... a new or used car is expensive, repairing mine is expensive... I don t want car payments... if I fix it there is no guarantee it ll be any good... oh what to do???? I spoke with several transmission mechanics, considered my options, then a friend passionately recommended Gold Coast and gave me Vinny s number. I live an hour north, but I was desperate so I called him... from the moment he spoke to me I knew he had his finger on the pulse, he took all the drama out of it and made it simple. Completely comforting, and without an obvious agenda made me feel reassured. I felt like I had a solution and although not cheap, his pricing was fairer than the rest. Never have I seen a mechanics store so well organized and clean. No dog and pony show here, they are the real deal. My car was fixed in two days, with constant updates from Vinny himself. All 4 leaks repaired, new transmission and running better than ever before. I have a 2008 Ford Escape XLS V6, and it is running better than it did 10 years ago when I first bought it. Yep it cost to fix, but a heck of a lot cheaper than anything I could buy. Took it to my mechanic and he was blown away by their work. The fact that it comes with a warranty is also reassuring, but the best bit is having my car back. Thanks Vinny!

I paid for a new transmission in 2014 and received a 2 year warranty on it. I thought this would be a long term solution to my transmission issue (Only 6 yr old Nissan). But the transmission started giving problems & my car became INOPERABLE well before 2 years.Because I relocated out of South Florida since the repairs were done, I had to pay hundreds of dollars to have my car transported to Gold Coast to get the repairs done under the warranty. Throughout this process, however, Vinnie was passive aggressive towards me when I expressed concerns about the car having problems so early on. I also had to insist that he give me in-writing the work that was actually done to the car.Not long after my car was transported back to my city, I started to notice problems with the transmission AGAIN. I knew that the warranty was about to end now, So I drove the car BACK this time. Vinnie kept my car for 2 full business days then claimed he could find nothing wrong with the car. When I tried to express my disappointment with having problems with the transmission so soon & my concern that the warranty was about to end, he proceeded to SHOUT at me in the lobby that there was nothing wrong with the car, what do I want him to do etc. I actually ended up leaving the shop in tears! I felt so ripped off having paid thousands of dollars less than 2 years prior, then to be bullied when I tried to express my concern as a paying customer.Another staff member actually ran after me to try to fix the situation but I was only in town for a few days & could not leave my car any longer. And by this point I was done with being subjected to Vinnie s rude & passive aggressive behavior towards me when I had NEVER been unruly with them. I unfortunately CANNOT recommend their services.

I had a '06 Nissan Altima that had a bad transmission and when they fixed it I never had an issue with it again. Thank you Gold Coast. You're the standard of excellence. I'll would go to them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

We have used Gold Coast Transmissions a number of times and would highly recommend them. The first time we used them to repair a leak from the transmission on our BMW 335i. They were very professional and affordable, even though they went through our insurance company and we had no money out of pocket. They are very honest and reliable, with excellent communication which is why we returned to them for other non-transmission related issues. Vinnie (the owner?) called us regularly with updates and information and is easy to talk to and explains issues in a way that us non-gearheads can understand.
