I was chasing my tail on a hard to no start condition for close to a year. I waived my white flag and reached out to these guys. Alex and the crew were patient and did a great job on my Honda. Originally brought it to them for a head gasket, and rather then throw one on and call it a day he broke the bad news that the damage was more extensive than originally thought. The pics below are of my block and the corrosion that had taken place. Then we got a new motor from JDM orlando who claims to test their motors and they sent a motor with 40psi on cylinder 2 with a blow valve. Alex worked with me on price since neither of us knew. Got the car back and it runs great. Still working out little kinks like belt tensions here and there just from the car moving again but things I can handle. Small family business. Can't recommend enough.

I reached out to Alex in December 2023 to rebuild my 5.7l Hemi. We talked about what I needed and what the cost would be. I told I wasn t quite ready at the moment.I contacted him in Jan 2024. I was ready to do the deal. I asked him if his price was still good? He kept the price the same. He guy pickup the car (400 miles away) from his shop.He completed the rebuild in two weeks.I drove it home a couple of days ago and it performed like a brand new engine.I would recommend Florida Gulf Coast Auto to anyone.

I had an issue with my 2012 Ford F150 after another roadside service repair, completely butchered the rear brakes in a repair a day earlier.I called Alex at 5pm on a Saturday, as we were driving knowing we had a locked rear caliper. Alex responded and squeezed me in to diagnose and repair the problem for Monday.They diagnosed the problem, ordered the CORRECT parts and repaired the problem.They had me on my way in 2 hours!!All the technicians there have great mechanical knowledge and skills, at servicing ALL brands of cars and trucks.Great communication skills, reasonable rates and knowledgeable staff!!I would HIGHLY recommend them!!Thanks again Florida Gulfcoast Auto!!

Alex and his team are very easy to work with. Got my 2015 RAM 1500 5.7 in and out within 2 1/2 weeks. Excellent job, runs great. Highly recommend!

Florida Gulfcoast is the BEST !I found myself in a Difficult situation recently I took my car into a "Certified Performance Shop" ( A...Sauce) in Lakeland, Fl, to have a starter replaced & leaking head gasket replaced, all was done & they put on Dyno to do a couple "test" runs and promptly "BLEW-UP" the motor. Would accept NO RESPONSIBILITY.Anyway, I reached out to Alex and he got me calmed down & arrangements made to pick my car up right away. We agreed on a cash price & they picked the car up and went to work ! Originally told me 3 1/2 to 4 weeks to fix, Delivered the car back to me (200 miles away) 3 days early, and its BETTER than EVER ! Communication was good through out the process. I can't thank Alex & his team enough for jumping right in and doing right. And I'll recommend them to any & everyone.THANKS SO MUCH....A. Kirk

Had my 02 dodge at 2 different garages in citrus co. Over 2 months and nothing. Made a call to Alex on a Saturday, 24 hrs later my well used shot dodge was picked up by his towing team and headed 200miles south. Skeptical to say the least.. Tuesday got pic of empty engine bay. Alex answered all my texts and calls immediately. My engine was not rebuildable, don't know why but gave, yes gave me a different block at no cost.One week later he said his driver ( amazing man) was headed my way he would drop my freshly rebuilt Durango off at my home.. Free of charge. Put 500 miles on first week and every week since. About 1700 miles now and runs like new. Wish we had a FLORIDA GULF COAST AUTO in citrus co.Price point too! Got completely rebuild for just a bit more than most places wanted to replace two heads with no warranty.Need you dodge or Mopar to go. Go give Alex a call.

Alex worked on my jeep towed it also did the job in one day water pump and radiator stull have not had any issues I recommend him very reliable especially if you want something done rite and depend on your vehicle to go to work every day outstanding job

Alex and his team at FGA did a awesome job on my 05 Dakota i had a blown motor. And needed to replace it after looking around I found FGA ( 230 miles) from my house they will pick up your vehicle for you very cool I would make the trip again if I had to the workmanship was top of the line communication was excellant and responsible price I have overlooked the motor day after day and everything is perfect . I highly recommend this place for any of your motor needs! Thanks again Alex

I m very happy I found Florida Gulfcoast auto for a complete motor rebuild guys were knowledgeable picked up my vehicle and took care of some issues non related to motor swap these guys went over and beyond to make sure I was able to have my vehicle running I recommend them because they took good care of me! Will be using again in the future on other projects!!Thanks again Chris!!!

Alex and his guys did a fantastic job on rebuilding the motor on my dodge charger.. he made sure everything was perfect before he delivered the vehicle to my house! If you are looking for excellent results give these guys a call you will not regret it! 10/10

Alex and his team did a great job on my 2015 Jeep wrangler. Although my jeep only had 79k miles, it needed significant motor work.Very fair prices, honest, upfront and good communication through the process. His quote was significantly lower than another shop! If you are looking for a motor rebuild, I recommend taking to Florida Gulfcoast Auto.

Amazing place with very kind people. The people who work there saved my day and my nerves! Today morning I was getting ready to drive to work and found that my car would not start. Somehow the light in the car stayed on and it drained the battery. I called this service and after 30 minutes the mechanic Grisha came with everything that was necessary to help me with the car. After 15 minutes, I calmly went to work. Wonderful experience!!! Definitely recommended him to anyone I know. Very trustworthy! Thanks again for the great service.

Alex was super easy to communicate with and was very patient when setting up times for me to pick my engine up, the rebuilt 4.7L I bought from him was very well built with what appears to be top grade gaskets and hardware I fallowed the break in process the Alex recommended and the engine runs great no noises or hesitations of any kind, I m very pleased with the quality of work he provided and his customer service is very good, I will be highly recommending him and his guys to my friends with dodges as well as buying from them the next time I m in the market for an engine

I took my 2005 Dodge Durango into this shop. I really thought Big Red was dead. But they performed a miracle. Now Big Red will last another 10 years.

Put a new engine into a 2000 Chevy ExpressWithin first 25 miles we had a massive oil seal failureAfter 2000 miles the engine had a misfire in 2 cylindersDiag was:Head not seating properlyTorn air intake gasket from over torqued boltsThere were also a lot of issues that were found from the install. Loose hoses, loose wires and stripped bolts all overI wouldn't let these guys fix a moped

Took my 2005 Ram with a 5.7 in for a rebuild and was surprised by the quick turn around. Came to my house and picked up quickly and started working on instantly. Good work and good pricing.

The guys did an awesome job on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 3.7L, Super Competitive prices, Alex was very knowledgeable and very easy to work with! I definitely recommend this rebuild shop.

Just wanted to share to all that is in need of Auto repair, Alex came to our home "we live three hrs away" and picked our vehicle up and rebuild the engine in my 1500 Ram truck he stayed in contact with me the entire time and kept me informed as to what he was doing I was very impressed with all that he did and with the level of professionalism shown . Gave them a truck to be fixed in 2011. Still waiting to get it back. They took $4,000 to do a repair and keep coming up with excuses that the car can't be repaired. They still have my vehicle after 4.5 years. I want my car back and the repair done. I think they decided to steal our car away from us. Let's see how much longer it will be until we get our car back.

We ve had three of our vehicles engines replaced in our family Between my brother and myself by Alex at Golf coast auto repair he did a great job I d recommend him anytime The only problem is it takes a little while to get in because he s so busy because they re so good!!!
