I recently purchased a new vehicle at Quality Subaru in Wallingford. My buying experience was excellent. My Sales Consultant, William, could not have been more professional, patient or knowledgeable. He made the experience painless and made sure that I ordered the vehicle which met all of my requirements. When I received my car (my fourth Subaru) it had everything I wanted and exceeds my expectations. William followed up on several occasions to answer any questions and to verify that I was happy with my new purchase. This is a great dealership and William is an outstanding employee.

WARNING If you plan on purchasing a vehicle at any dealership, especially this one, make sure to request an emissions test from the vehicle you wish to purchase. I would also recommend that you hire a mechanic for inspection before purchase. The vehicle I personally purchased here was pre-owned, and it began having issues after the first month. I had to bring it back for maintenance 5 times before it finally passed emission. Due to how soon the vehicle was faced with problems, the dealership was at fault and had to provide free maintenance and rental vehicles to accommodate the condition of the sold vehicle. While the dealership did their due diligence, it didn't change the fact that it was an inconvenience. (I completely forgot to add that the vehicle required a new clutch 4000 miles after purchase. In their defense, it was a pre-owned vehicle with 65,000 miles. In my own defense, I don't beat the car, and this isn't my first manual transmission vehicle. The vehicle came with a worn-out clutch. If you purchase a pre-own manual transmission, consider requesting a new clutch or a warranty before purchase at no extra cost. If they swear by the quality of their sold vehicles, they should have no problem granting your request).KEEP YOUR CAR WELL MAINTENANCE, and you'll never need the repair shop. Subaru vehicles are well known for having issues and codes related to the oil. The majority of the codes are oil related and can easily be fixed. It's really easy. Step 1: Change your oil every 3,000 miles religiously. Step 2: Use CataClean fuel injector every 3-6 months. The CataClean is what keeps all your 02 sensors clean and away from showing indicators on dash. Oil and 02 sensors are your biggest enemies as a Subaru vehicle owner. Step 3: How old is your battery? Just because a battery that's rated for 2 years is still working 4 years later doesn't always mean the battery is good. IMO, the first instance you receive indicators on dash with an old battery, change the battery.OVERALL, every vehicle brand will have maintenance issues that are well known to them. Subaru's are fun and quality brand vehicles, and just like anything, they need to be well maintained. As for this specific dealership, I recommend you take the steps described above because after all the inconvenience and time wasted, I would be absolutely skeptical about purchasing a vehicle or having it maintenanced at this location; it shouldn't have taken 5 tries to finally figure out the problem. I can't recommend them, while at the same time, if you still choose to take a chance, then have them do emissions and have a mechanic ready for inspection. Good luck!

Although we have had a generally positive experience with everyone at Quality Suburu, we want to give a special shoutout to our salesperson, William Dill. He was exceptional. He was informative, congenial and conscientious. And he went above and beyond in making sure we were satisfied with the bike rack hitch that we needed.

My wife and I spent over a month looking for our new car after her accident. The first place we stopped was at Quality Subaru. Steve Canada was absolutely amazing from the very start. He was clearly more concerned with how she was than selling us a car. After shopping around at no less than a half dozen other dealers to see filthy cars and lackluster customer service we found ourselves back at home at Quality Subaru. Steve Canada listened to everything we wanted and made sure we wound up in the perfect car for us. We started off looking at used Outback's. Steve showed us some of the newer safety features found in the new Forrester and at a price tag that was only a little higher than a used Outback. Steve made the boring part of buying a car seem easy and smooth even though we made it as complicated as possible. I look forward to working with Steve and Quality Subaru in the future to service this car and buy my 2nd Subaru when the time comes. We couldn't be happier or more thankful for the work Steve put in to make sure we were driving the perfect car for our family without breaking the budget or selling us something we didn't need. This was hands-down the best car buying experience I have ever had.

Brough my car in for an ebrake warning light. Diagnosed as warranty issue. Brought it back a second time for a fix. While driving home the problem persisted. Brough it back for a third time for the dealer to diagnose again and dealer insisted it was an electrical issue and would not do any further work on the problem unless they replaced the batter for $415!! I had the car looked at somewhere else. No only did the battery test as perfectly fine but the mechanic stated that issue sounded like low brake fluid when I described it them. We topped off the brake fluid and the issue is totally gone. I cannot believe Quality subaru wanted to charge me for something I did not need and didn t bother to check such a simple thing. Reading up on the issue the manual mentioned to check brake fluid first. I will be taking my car elsewhere in the future.

Always the friendliest staff. Ann, Kelly and of course Joe are always so nice. The dealership is always clean, and who doesn't love Neil's donuts on a Saturday.

I and my family were customers for decades and loved it here! But something has changed and we not our friends will return. They used to treat everyone like family - but after being yelled at and watching others be treated disrespectfully and yelled at in the service department, we were appalled. Not only that, but they LIED about what I needed and tried to steal thousands of dollars for what only took $700 to repair elsewhere, not needing most of what they said we needed. Stay far far away from this place.

Had such a wonderful experience with everyone we met here this past Saturday. I was contacted about the 2020 Subaru Forester Limited within the same day and Tony had great communication. Due to unexpected circumstances, he needed to hand us over to the owner, Jack, who we met as soon as we walked in for our appointment. Our saleman was named Steve who was funny and professional. The test drive went well despite me missing a turn, sorry, Steve! I live an hour away, so my Mom & I were not familiar with the area.Thank you to everybody that day for amazing hospitality that was shown to us, the doughnuts, stories, & the two bottles of wine! Highly recommend making the drive down here if you re eyeing a vehicle!

Worked with John M for a second time with my families second Subaru. Professional, personable and knowledgeable are just a few of the words I can use to describe John. The rest of the team was great to work with as well. Quality Subaru will be my only place to buy a car from here on out.

My husband and I are loyal Volvo and Jeep owners, but we recently agreed on looking at a Subaru Outback. Nick Hammond was able to answer all of our questions and took his time to find out the qualities that were important to us in a car. He was very knowledgeable and patient and got us an unbeatable deal. We have already recommended him to a friend. Also, Ed in financing was very nice and easy to work with no pressure. Overall, A+++

I had the perfect car buying experience here with Steve Canada! Everything about the process was simple and quick. Steve was able to find me a car that was very similar to the one I was trading in. The car is absolutely gorgeous and was in pristine condition. Steve knew everything about the car and took the time to show me how to use all the features! He was also kind enough to check in a few days after purchasing to make sure everything was going well. He is kind, patient, and knowledgable about cars. If you are looking for a new car then go see him!

I had a perfectly good care that was a RAV4 , 10 years old, but only 55,000miles to it.The reason I wanted a new car is for all of the safety features now added to cars that are a decade newer. I test drove, the Jeep, Audi, Acura, Mazda CRV, the Infinity, and I also checked Volkswagen and Volvo.I went with the 2021 SUBARU OUTBACK TOURING XT for all of its incredible safety features. The car can basically drive itself..I kid you not.It has facial recognition so if my husband drives, the car sets up his seat and mirrors to his face..if I get in the car recognizes me and changes all of the settings. It has an 11 inch touchscreen that is huge..it has lane centering, and it turns off the car at stop signs and red lights to save gas.Quality Subaru was a wonderful place to purchase a car. We never felt rushed, haunted in the parking lot, or given the hard sell. This is where we met John Melchiore, and he was incredibly knowledgeable about this vehicle. We even test drove it 3 separate times before we made our decision.Quality Subaru also gave us an incredible $8,000 for my RAV4 ..exactly what the KBB had it for.On the day we picked up the vehicle (and we only waited one week),John spent close to four hours with us to make sure that we were comfortable in the new car.He also has us coming back in two weeks to go over all of the technology again because this car is loaded!!I strongly recommend Quality Subaru and John Melchiore.

Recently, I have visited Quality Subaru searching for a car replacement. I worked with Steve Canada II, who did a fantastic job reviewing the vehicle I wished to test drive. Steve went over every single safety feature of the car. No question surprised him. He knew the car inside and out. Shopping for a car can be a very stressful experience. Steve will make it easy for you and you will not need to read the expansive manual. You will leave familiar with the car's features and ready to enjoy your new ride. Highly recommend.

Great dealership and great sales team! We had a fantastic experience working with John Melchiore at Quality Subaru on our new lease. He walked us through the car and all its features and accessories. I would highly recommend working with him he doesn't try to push the sale on you and wants to get you the car you want! He also kept in contact with us throughout the whole process. Ed Chen in finance was equally as awesome, very friendly and no BS made the final paperwork a breeze!

This is a belated review and thank you to everyone at Quality Subaru! I bought a new vehicle in November and I love it. They were knowledgable and made the car-buying process hassle-free, even in the middle of the vehicle shortage. John Melchiore was great and walked me through the whole way, then emailed me to follow up and make sure I was still satisfied with my purchase. I am very happy with my car buying experience here, highly recommend if you're looking for a dealership. Thanks again!

We are 70+ and this was our first time purchasing a car in 13 years. We went into the dealership with some concern. John Melchiore, our salesman, made us feel comfortable right away. He gave us all the time we needed to familiarize ourselves with the car models we were interested in. After. purchasing the car, he invited us to return in two weeks, at which time, he spent over an hour answering our questions regarding the technological features of the car. We highly recommend John to any potential car buyers

Disappointed at first but now Satisfied! After posting this review I was contacted by the service supervisor at Quality Subaru. He explained that he had a chance to relook at my case history and was very apologetic for what happened and asked for an opportunity to resolve the situation to my satisfaction. After carefully thinking through his offer I accepted it. I was provided a loaner after it was explained that it could take some time to diagnose this issue as it was not a common issue. It did take a few days to resolve the issue but I was kept up to date on a regular basis and the loaner was provided for the entire duration. At the end of the day I am very satisfied with the outcome. It was a bit of an unfortunate experience but I can accept the fact that mistakes are made. The response from Jonathan was very professional as he took accountability and was very sincere in his apology. I am very happy to say I will continue to be a customer of Quality Subaru which is great because for the past 5 years I've been a very satisfied customer. Also it s highly likely that my daughter will become a new customer .-------I had my car serviced at Quality Subaru (QS) on 7/22. I had a safety concern with my Subaru Legacy 15. As I explained to QS during a past service visit - I am able to bring my car to a full stop (garage, driveway, or parking lot) and if I forget to put the car in Park, I am able to remove the key from the ignition freely and there are no visual or audio warnings. This is a serious safety concern as I've had my car roll on me after I exited the car. Once in a parking lot where the car rolled into the side of the building. It was believed to be an issue in the ignition switch area which seemed reasonable to me. It s worth pointing out that I had a remote starter installed at QS. As I'm getting ready to give this car to my 16 year old daughter I wanted to have this safety issue fixed. I called Quality Subaru to make an appointment and they informed me I needed to pay in advance for the part needed for the repair which I did while scheduling the service visit. When I picked my car up around 5pm after paying for my own Uber back to quality I went in and paid for the repair . The charge for labor was $458. I got my car from the parking lot and immediately checked to see if the issue was resolved. I tried a couple times in the matter of 2 mins and realized nothing was different. I was still able to freely remove the key from the ignition while the car was in Drive and there were no audio or visual warnings.I never got a call Monday morning. I called back at noon and spoke with the supervisor who I spoke with when I picked up the car on Friday. He basically told me that he spoke with the foreman and they did the work I requested and if I wanted this safety issue addressed it would need to be brought back in and properly diagnosed. There was never an apology and I didn't sense any empathy. Also I asked about the money I paid for the work that didn t address the issue I am having - and was basically told there wasn t much they could do about that.First off I was rather shocked to hear that they did the work I requested. What I requested was that they repair the safety issue I was having. I am not a mechanic and would never tell a repair shop what is needed to repair and issue or concern. Moreover why would a service department with certified and qualified technicians simply do what a customer asks - especially for a safety concern! - without properly diagnosing the issue themselves.Needless to say, I do not plan on being a Quality Subaru customer any longer. I still need my vehicle repaired and I will look for a dealer with the utmost integrity, quality, and customer satisfaction. I respectively ask that Quality Subaru put the quality back into their brand for the benefit and safety of their loyal customers.

So, I bought my first Subaru from this place. Honestly after trying different dealerships, this place felt right. Anthony Oliva also known as Tony, helped me find the car I needed. Tony literally go out of his way to make sure you are happy with your purchase and thats without being pushy. I did not feel like Quality was after my money but instead felt welcome, happy & felt like I was treated like family through the process. On his day/time off Tony will still work with you and EVEN after the purchase is done he will still reach out to make sure I'm happy. Great guy, Great place, Great Staff. Very happy customer & will definitely do business again!

Had a great overall experience purchasing a new Ascent. John M. Was our sales rep and was extremely responsive and transparent throughout the entire transaction. During the paperwork portion, the gentleman who assisted with add-on warranty items, etc. was helpful and not pushy at all which was nice too. Great facility, helpful staff, great brand, would recommend John M and Quality Subaru.

Visiting Quality Subaru was like visiting friends. Everyone there is so friendly. My sales person, Jack, couldn't have been nicer. He knows everything about Subarus and anticipated my every question. Of course, we always think that cars are overpriced. I would say that Quality Subaru is very competitive and I feel I got a better deal there than I would have any place else. I would highly recommend Quality Subaru if you are in the market for a new or used car. You might ask, were they pushy? No way! Like I said, it's like visiting friends. The showroom is clean and appealing. They have an area where you wait while your car is being serviced and that was pleasing as well. You can even bring your dog!! They set up my first oil change appointment before I left with my new car. They even set up my Blue Tooth connection. I'm so glad I bought my car there and I know I can call Jack if I have any questions whatsoever.
