Best shop in the area, hands down!! Jim and his team are really good technicians. Jim never try s to make an extra dollar on the customer, on the contrary. He is always looking to do only what s needed to save the customer money and get you back on the road. Did I mention how honest Jim is?!?! Jim and his crew performed surgery on my Ram and did a hell of a job at an awesome rate. Do yourself a favor and give Jim and his wonderful team an opportunity to take care of your automotive needs. You will not be disappointed.

Skeptical at first, but I drove over three hours to get here .and Jim is a busy guy but he put me in his schedule right when I got there. buying my first car has never been easier with over the edge, they even helped me drive to the ferry so I can get home safe with the car! Let me test drive it for a long time u til I got comfortable too. I recommend them a lot I see them repairing cars and there s a whole line out the lot that s how good they are. All my tires and wheels were stolen at the hotel I was staying at. I called Over The Edge Automotive and spokes to Jim he had phenomenal customer service and he helped me get new tires and rims and fixed the broken window and buffed out all the scratches. They did an amazing job and I was happy with the results.

Jim and Melissa are very nice people. I've brought my Jetta here for several somewhat tricky problems, which although not always fixed on the first try, happily, all issues are resolved now!I'm definitely sticking with Jim & Over the Edge. Their prices are fair, work is good, schedule accommodating, and it's very hard to find a good mechanic!They also have a body shop - I had a rear windshield put in, and I plan to have some body work done in the near future.They worked seamlessly with my insurance company, too. I never even had to call (Geico).Thank you, Jim & Melissa!

Over the edge automotive is the best place to go for any type of automobile repairs. Prices are reasonable, service is excellent, staff is knowledgeable, and the owner Jim has been extremely helpful and has gone above and beyond to help me with both of the cars I own. As a woman it can be intimidating to pursue car repairs or sales independently. Jim has always made me feel like he s taking extra special care of me and never like I m just a woman who doesn t know anything about cars. I have been there multiple times, would bring both my cars there for anything they need in the future, and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs automotive repairs!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Auto maintenance, Battery, Oil change

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME FOR TRUCKS AND CARS TOO ! ! ! ! ...... THANK YOU TO JIM ,DEREK AND ALL AT OVER THE EDGE AUTOMOTIVE GREAT GROUP OF HONEST HARD WORKING GUYS ...... Jim had first contacted me after reading my posts on Facebook groups that my van was shaking . I had been through literally 4 different garages and thousands of dollars tryin to get some truth as to why my van was shaking. NO ONE would help me all they wanted to do was keep throwing parts at it ....... JIM FIXED IT ! ! ! And gave me straight honest truth no BS THANK YOU JIM ! ! ! He put in his own personal time to take my van home with him and really look into the why and what .......

Second time at Over the Edge... even better than the last! Excellent service, above and beyond expected. Work was completed perfectly and on time. They are over a half hour from me but VERY worth the drive! Highly recommend Jim and his crew!

DO NOT GO HERE. If I can give zero stars I would. Several times they ve claimed to do extremely expensive work on more than one of mine or my fianc�s and family members cars which was either never or partially done. For example, doing work on the transmission and oil change resulting in bigger issues due to the fact that they never did what they said they did. It s terrible especially in this economy.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Transmission repair, Oil change

I took my car to a couple of shops to try to figure out why it wouldn't get a read for inspection, and none of them knew what the problem could be. As soon as I called Over the Edge, they said they had experience with the make and model of my car and this specific issue. I took it in and they not only fixed the problem but took the time to work on it that it needed.

I ve been to a lot of mechanics, but Jim (the owner) has been the most straightforward. He and his team are very nice, they don t BS you. They get the right job done and they ll tell you if you don t need something. They don t scam you. My family has been coming here for over 14 years. I recommend them to everyone.

Jim is great. Luckily I haven't had to go there in a while, but my Range Rover is there right now until it's ready tomorrow. I'll update when I get it back... But it's ALWAYS been a good experience dealing with Jim and his crew. Not a rip-off like most of the places. Will keep you posted.Edit: Jim and his crew once again were fantastic. He fixed it with a fair price. He's popular because he's honest and explains everything that he's doing. Unless something drastic happens, I'm a customer for life.

I usually service my cars at the dealership. I had a problem with front end noise and intermittent hard shifting that the dealer could not figure out it despite multiple visits. Finally, James and his mechanics diagnosed the problem as a loose engine mount and fixed it. Yes its busy and the waiting room isn't as nice but they do excellent work with fair prices.Some of his mechanics have even worked for dealerships and they all really know cars.

James Mank is the best mechanic in the world! He always provides excellent customer service and quality work for fair prices. I have been using him for the last 19 years and he has never done me wrong. He always gives fair and accurate estimates and never gouges me. I've been bringing all my cars to Over The Edge for well over 20 years. Jim and his team are expert mechanics. I rely on them to provide solutions and advice for all things automotive from transmissions to taillights. They also have a top body shop. OTE always come through and are priced fair. To sum it up, I trusted Jim to handle my mother's cars. He treated her like his own mother and she thought he was great!

I have used Over the Edge Automotive for over 12 years. Jim and his mechanic staff are amazing. He will never do a repair on a car that is not needed. I met him when I was looking for a mechanic for my classic cars and saw other old cars in his bays while driving by one day. I was just told my everyday car needed a $2,000 engine repair from a quick lube place. At the next oil change I gave the car to Jim. Not only did it not need that repair at that time, but Jim actually did the repair 7 years later at a fraction of the cost.Last week my daughter and husband were driving cross country. During the trip the check engine light came on. Since the car was running fine, Jim walked them through what the possible problems were. The 1st night my husband bought a coder and reset the computer. When the light popped again the next day, Jim advised them to get an oil change. That's all the car needed. My daughter and husband were able to drive the rest of the way and the car is fine.Over the Edge is Napa certified, which I like because it means the work and parts are guaranteed. I am in the process of looking for a Napa repair dealer in CA that is just like Jim to take care of my daughters car. I don't just trust anyone to touch my cars, and am so lucky to have Jim watch out for my vehicles. He treats every car as if its his own, and as if his kids are in the vehicle.

Purchased a 1975 F-250 from Over The Edge Auto. I didn t go see this truck in person, which can be a horrible decision. However, Jim is an absolute first class honest man. He went way above and beyond ensuring the truck was Mint before it shipped. He drove it daily, put it through a rigorous inspection and had excellent communication and pictures. The truck I received exceeded my expectations. The truck I received compared to all others in the price range... no comparison. Jim Thank You Sir. I appreciate everything. Highly recommend doing business at Over The Edge Auto.

Good customer service, good communication, good environment. I believe the owner was very honest and straight forward. They fix my issues with my vehicle I am very satisfied and on my way home from them I ran out of guy. I called them and they came with gas right away and I'm forever grateful for that. Oh and may I add that I had a limo ride to my vehicle AWESOME. I will highly recommend this shop to everyone

The best auto repair shop I ever seen. Extremely happy to go there and get my Audi repaired. Jim and George are the nicest people. Honest and friendly customer service. I've been a customer of Jim's for over 10 years. From Oil changes to body work to tracking down unusual sounds from the rear...this place not only nails it but they are reasonable and thorough! They actually care how your car performs and build relationships on trust with you and car and not selling you more than what you need. I have trusted Jim with my trucks for years and I've watched him slowly turn his shop into a museum of unusual artifacts and whimsy. Never a dull moment and the music isn't bad either ;-)

Me being a woman I find it hard to trust a mechanic. You never know when someone is trying to get over on you. But Jim and his crew have been nothing but honest and truthful about what is going on with my vehicle. They even give me a heads up when I am going to need to service my car. Jim has even personally driven my car home to get to the bottom of the problem. I can honestly say this is the best mechanic shop and where I will continue to bring all my vehicles here to be service. If you want your vehicle fixed the 1st time, bring your car here!

Jim is the owner and has the best garage in the region for car service and repairs. I've been coming here for years for simple maintenance and complex engine work with excellent results. He's fair and tells you exactly what's wrong and offers competitive price for all his services. I won't let any other garage work on my vehicles..

Jim and everyone here is top notch!!!! Most awesome service. Amazing work. And very friendly people that make you feel comfortable and safe that your car is being worked on here. Coming from NY and always getting some sort of swindle..this shop is a blessing. My only mechanic shop who will touch my car!

Love this place! Jim and his staff have gone above and beyond for my car and families cars. When I brought my car in yesterday, they fixed the problem, spoiled my car with checking everything was in order and even disinfected my car seat for pickup. Absoutely amazing! I'm super satisfied with bringing my car to them, as they are very reliable and trustworthy!

Truly the best auto repair experience of my life. I live in Toronto and needed emergency brake service while on a road trip. Although they were busy Jim went out of his way to help even though it was unlikely I'd ever be a return customer. If you live in the area you're lucky to have such a great shop. They deserve your business. True professionals.
