Aamco Guys- front desk and mechanics (Orange, CT)They are thee best team I have ever came in contact with. They keep you updated, the mechanic comes out and tells you what's going on and answers any questions you have straight forward. They fix your vehicle without making more problems to your car. They find the problem, bring it to you, and fix the problem.This team of guys works great together with very much respect for each other, very professional, and caring for your vehicle and customer. Great job guys! Keep up the great work you do with a smile on your faces. Oh yeah they do a full diagnostic check of your vehicle for FREE. What shop do you know that does that kind of treatment?

In my experience with businesses such as Aamco and others that I won t name I have found Keenan to be one of the most effective and efficient and most professional managers I ve come across with these companies and I would highly recommend any of my friends to Aamco in Orange and make sure that you ask for Keenan..

Scheduled and AAMCO go appointment and got a conformation email, text and everything along with a phone a complete profile of the technician who was going to help me with my appointment. I waited for two and a half hours after my appointment window ended to call and have the guy tell me that the AAMCO GO service isn t available anymore at the Orange CT location. Zero transparency in their business practices and no follow up on my appointment what so ever. Two thumbs down

Customer Service in store is great but I have difficulty contacting them during business hours as I replaced a transmission and less than 1000 miles later it s not even working right. Car slips out of 3rd gear a lot and won t go up and reverse gear is giving issues as well. Thank god for that warranty so I m not too concerned but I use this car for work and I travel a lot so I would expect better service.

My SUV is there now and I've had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Keenan. He's professional, courteous, kind and even funny. Which is great when you got car troubles. Need a little humor there. Great smile too! He's been prompt on returning calls and I'm sure I'll be happy when the work is done. Good vibe there!

I had my vehicle towed here when its battery failed. The staff were courteous and I appreciated the free diagnostic testing. However, the costs I paid for a simple battery replacement all but ate up the savings. I was sold seemingly the most expensive battery on the market, not to mention being charged for what seemed like much more labor than is required to replace a battery. I called PepBoys across the street for an estimate and their estimate was ~$200 less. When I told the Aamco associate this and expressed confusion regarding the price difference he replied with something to the effect of "well we're not the cheapest in town" or "people don't come to us for the good price." I ended up getting it fixed there because it was more hassle and cost that it was worth to tow my car across the street and wait for the battery to come in stock. But I will not return to Aamco in the future and encourage anyone who can do so to price-compare against other shops.

Such great service all around. Steph (very friendly, knowledgeable and helped me better understand the system better as a whole) originally came to my house to diagnose my transmission, and concluded it was slipping/needed to be replaced which is what I had thought. It's under a specific recall and in the last year of an extended warranty with Honda so I took it to them and they said it was fine.. I intuitively knew it wasn't. Took my car back to AAMCO for a complimentary AC diagnostic (bc that went out too!) and asked them if they could check the transmission fluid or anything else transmission related that I could show Honda now that it was in their shop. Keenan (who was my contact point thru all of this and an amazing / friendly guy!) called the next day saying they had found metal filings in my transmission fluid - specific to the Honda recall! I'm so annoyed at Honda, but so so happy with AAMCO. Thank you all!

AAMCO Go Mobile Mechanic Service saved me when I unexpectedly had a dead battery a few days ago. They were able to give me a next-day appointment, showed up exactly on time, diagnosed the issue quickly, and took care of it that same day. It was very smooth and painless. Overall I'd highly recommend the Mobile Mechanic Service and the shop itself.Service: Battery

Had a appointment for 9am and Steph was right on time. He was very knowledgeable and informative on what was going on with my car. He also emailed me everything about all the repairs that would be needed. Steph came to take a look to see if there was a quick fix before towing my truck in. While the truck was not repairable during this visit, and I will be taking it to their shop, I can't express enough how nice of a guy Steph was and how comfortable I am letting Aamco do the work. Today, I had a visit by a Amco (steph) Team member who arrived at my home. Which was a plus with my busy schedule this service was very convenient. He ran a diagnostic test on my vehicle and I was please he confirmed my suspicion and provided some helpful recommendations. I am going to call them for all my needs moving forward.

I will recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great place to fix your car. For me, their customer service skills is unmatched. Daniel, the manager is a very respectful man who values his up customers. They are very honest and will be upfront with you. I love what they did to my car. A shout out to the lady diagnostician whom I don t know her name. I just put in a service request on-line not knowing what to expect. This lady came to my house to diagnose the vehicle and told me all the things that were wrong. I was impressed and towed my car there for repairs and I am glad I did. Try them because for me honesty, expertise and treating customers with respect made all the difference.Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic

They had my car over a month, every time I called they tell me it will be ready next week. Claimed to have mechanics out sick, which is a horrible excuse. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. It's ridiculous how long they have had my car.I leave messages but no one calls back. I have to call multiple times a day just to get in touch with someone. Going on day #40 of them having my car.Services: Transmission, Brakes

Really nice workers and very thorough and honest. I really appreciate the front representative Daniel who is very kind and extremely helpful. First time here I honestly never seen such a helpful and friendly representative in a auto repair company. The mechanic who checked my car was also very honest and told me exactly what needs to be worked and said everything else is fine. I was anxious about my car and now I'm not. Thanks!

From beginning to end, Daniel and Collin and the team were great. I brought my car in to get a second opinion because I suspected I was being overcharged. The team at Aamco explained in great detail exactly what services needed to be done and yes, their quote was much lower than the other place. I appreciated the manner in which they spoke to me and how they made sure I knew what I was paying for.

Aamco is ALWAYS my first choice! I been going to them for years they fixed a lot of my cars. The service here is Great, they re very good at what they do and to top it off there s NO DIAGNOSTIC FEE. Be aware that this facility (Orange, CT) does not rebuild transmissions. Save your money on towing cost and "diagnostics" if you need a transmission rebuild.When my transmission went on my car I called 3 shops for estimates. I wanted the worst case estimate, which would be to rebuild the transmission. Two shops provided estimates for a rebuild but emphasized it could be less depending on their diagnostics, which made sense. AAMCO of Orange CT would not provide an estimate. They said they would need to diagnose the car before they can provide a quote...even are few attempts to get a quote for a "transmission rebuild" they refused to give me one until the car is diagnosed. I asked several times.After much thought I decided to get my car towed to AAMCO because they are advised as the transmission experts and because I was looking for a nation wide warranty. The first call I received was to tell me that my transmission didnt work and they would want to take the oil pan off to take a look. I agreed after I was told that the issue could be as simple as the transmission filter could have fallen off. I was charged $150 for an hour of labor to remove ~12 bolts that are easy access. The issue was bigger then their initial assessment and recommended a new or used transmission. Upon hearing their recommendation I requested to have my transmission rebuilt and THAT'S when I was informed that they don't rebuild transmissions. I was furious. Had I known that they don't rebuilds I would not have considered taking it to this shop. So I had to pay another tow to get my car out of there.I'm giving them 1 stars for their lack of transparency on the capabilities of facility. Not to mention the shop name is missleading. When I called I specifically asked a quote for a transmission rebuild and they had several times to be upfront that they didn't do rebuilds. Looking back I can say that I got the "sleazy car sales man" experience. They talked me into bringing my car in to their shop. They even tried to convince me that I was better off with an used transmission that had double the mileage than mine....and how rebuilds are not good.

I just went to Aamco in Orange they did a fantastic job on my car as they have always done before! I needed to have new bulbs replaced for my car and brakes and they did a great job on both. Daniel the manager excellent customer service skills handled my questions and concerns with ease. Allain and Collin did a tremendous job with fixing and getting my car back on the road! Highly recommend seeing these guys, I appreciate their honesty!

Amazing job. Had my transmission replaced and the entire time I felt as if my car was definitely in the right place. The entire staff was super friendly and I got constant updates on how far along the replacement process my car was in. Time will tell how well the transmission holds up but so far so good my car runs like new again. Thanks for the great work guys!Service: Transmission

Went there to get a diagnosis! Daniel got me in ASAP and was very nice and professional! Even after I missed his callbacks the first couple times.He got together what I needed, reasonably priced part, and time to repair, and the team got it done first thing in the morning.Also glad I didn t walk out of there spending $3,000 :).

I had a great experience with Aamco and will use them for further services for the following reasons:1. Great customer service, an employee named Daniel was both personable, knowledgeable and eager to help with my car issues2. I felt the transparency of prices was good was well. As a woman, I didn t feel hustled of services that weren t needed.3. Fixed my car efficiently. My car is riding smoother than I can even remember4. They send you a Lyft home if your car needs to stay overnight for work. Bonus is they even sent a Lyft for me to get back to the shop when my car was complete.So yes, overall had as great of an experience that one could have at a car repair spot. Definitely recommend.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change
