These guys are great! They did my oil, plugs and tire rotation on my 2015 Optima, which was fine, but they also vacuumed out my car! I didn't even realize it right away, but when I did, I was so pleased and surprised! It was like a gift and I will be happy to do all my services there. Thanks Kia of Groton!!

I had the pleasure of working with Trevor. This is my first car on my own and I was beyond anxious. Answered all my questions and got me in the vehicle I could only dream of. The price and rate was beyond fair and the whole company was incredible. I loved working with Trevor but I like knowing I can easily work with anyone if he is not there. Its easy to reach them and they are fast for the new car buying process. Absolutely recommend going here and thank you to you all for what you have done for me.

Carl in the service department got my catalytic converter changed quickly and it was covered under warranty. While they had my car they handled a couple recall items too. The service could not have gone better and I was aware of what was happening each step of the process. I will definitely bring my car back to Kia of Groton in the future for service.

Had my car towed here March 7th, for diagnosis of flashing check engine light and miss fire, was told it was the air intake $667 & would be a few days for part to come in and no loaner cars available! So apparently that wasn't what the problem was it was the PVC valve, so another week and still no loaner car available, well suprise, suprise that wasn't the problem either, now it's my fuel injectors $2424.10 & yes now there is a loaner! Before agreeing to price for injectors asked if there was any other codes and if engine was good, was told engine was good no codes or indication of anything else! Picked up my car March 25th, was wondering how they tested my fuel injectors with a beyond empty gas tank! Easter Sunday 6 days later and my check engine light comes back on and somehow just a week later the codes say two bad Cats, but didn't say that 6 days ago! When I picked up car was told good to go no lights & no codes! So for another $5600 I can have my Cats fixed! Oh and did I mention I bought my car here 5yrs ago, $24,000 cash! And nothing but problems since! Worse investment ever I was die hard Kia til this nightmare of car! It has not been an enjoyable 5yrs with this car at all! So within 6 days of getting my car back from them all of a sudden I need $5600;worth of work on top of the $3424 I spent last week and was told no other codes! So within 6 days of getting my car back from them and them doing whatever somehow both my Cats are needing replacement! Worse place ever! Not to mention they told me I have a small oil leak, so when I picked up my car I asked if there was oil in there was told yes, got home and no there was no oil!I am totally fine with the repairs that you did, just not sure 6 days after all of a sudden the light is on, and i need two cats! Only thing put on was spark plugs, and it was not drove at all once issue started was immediately parked! Funny every bad review has nothing to do with anything you did! And I did inquire when I was there but was told my estimate would be ready in few minutes

I brought my Kia Optima in as my check engine light was going on and off over the course of a month even after having it diagnosed and the oil flushed. The team at Kia Groton correctly diagnosed the issue and performed a goodwill fix as the faulty part never had an issue date when the car was originally purchased. I m newer to the state and service like this is what makes me want to continue to go back when needed!

If I can give this Dealership zero stars I would, but it won t allow me to. I got my car towed to Kia dealership by AAA because my car stopped running. Two AAA technicians told me that they believe I needed a new transmission because my battery wouldn t start. When AAA Towed my car to KIA they told me that I just needed a new battery, I allow them to install the New battery. However; After I KIA, less than an hour later my battery light came back on .I called KIA and I told them that my battery light is on and if were Certain that I didn t need a new transmission As AAA guys stated. The sale Supervisor Ashley told me that I did not need a new transmission and the only thing that I needed was a new battery which they charge Me $200 for. She said their Technicians Thoroughly check everything and the only thing I needed was a battery and everything else was fine. She told me to bring my car in two days later which she said was their next available opening Because she believe it wasn t anything to worry about, she said, maybe a little glitch in the system..The next day while I was driving on the highway my car broke down with my 8 yr old daughter in the car. I could have gotten into an accident because my car suddenly stopped, interrupting the flow of traffic as many cars was behind me on the highway, While waiting Two hours For a towed truck in the Freezing rain, I called KIA dealership about what just happened. They finally told me to bring my car in so they could check it again. Even Though I notified them prior to the situation; that it may be the transmission based off of what AAA told me. I feel like KIA technicians did not diagnose really my car from beginning; Because if they did, how can they missed something so serious like this. They tried to cover up their story by saying that I didn t need a new transmission at the time I brought it in a day ago, even though I told as well as the AAA Serviceman that needed a new transmission. The so-called manager CARL was rude, prejudice and very inconsiderate. I tried to explain to him the situation, and he said that people get into accidents all the time, and he s not gonna do anything to compensate me because my car broke down. I tried to explain to him that they misdiagnosed my vehicle, and they told me that I did not need a new transmission. I got treated unfairly and they wanted to charge me Over $1000 for a transmission on a 2011 Kia Sorrento.They try to act nice in the beginning just to get your money; but do they really hold up to the policies and safety procedures? I don t think so, based off of what happened to me Anybody that s thinking about going to this dealership, please be aware.Elaine.

We ran into an issue with our Kia while driving though CT yesterday. We were away from home and concerned about making it home. Caitlynne and the service team made us feel welcome and they were able to get our vehicle looked at quickly. The whole team worked to get us back on the road safely. I can't thank this team enough for their hospitality and quick work.

If you're in the market for a new car, do yourself a favor: visit this dealership & talk to Stephanie. I was pleasantly surprised with how honest, upfront, & absolutely professional KIA of Groton is with the whole process - that's a rarity these days! Stephanie located the exact car I wanted right down to the colors & options at one or their sister dealerships in Massachusetts & had it delivered & ready for me ASAP. Fair pricing, honesty, and no surprises the day you pick-up your new ride - what else can you ask for? I'm elated with my 2023 Soul S Surf Blue Edition!

I had my 2016 Sorento engine replaced under recall warranty. I was expecting a hassle and a long turnaround but to my surprise KOG was fantastic throughout the stressful situation. They honored the warranty and didn t try to upcharge for other things. The mechanical assessment was quick, and the total replacement/repair took less than two weeks. Very impressed with service team at KOG! They ll be my first visit when it s time to buy a new vehicle.

Work not being done as advertised. Went in for my first 8k services on my 22 Telluride. The service is supposed to include an oil change, tire rotation and car wash. I mark my tires to keep track of their location and much to my disappointment the tires were in the same position when the car was given back to me. Now how can I trust this dealership is even changing my oil?? Now I'll have to go to the next nearest Kia dealership for service. I thought the service department would get better under new leadership but it appears that this isn't the case.This is an amendment to the original 2 star review. The general manager actually reached out to me and made things right. I've been going to them ever since and haven't had any issues. You have to respect a place that is willing to admit when they are in the wrong and make it right.

Almost no one in CT had the exact car i wanted in stock, but they did and sold me it for a very fair price, and gave me a good price on my trade. Financing was easy to work with, they are very understanding of working with a budget. I highly recommend working with Amanda, she is so friendly and helpful

Brought my 2016 Rio here for a low engine oil light and was told that the oil filter gasket was defective causing it to leak oil while the car was moving and changing the oil filter would solve the issue. 2 months later the low oil light is coming on again and I brought it to a local mechanic who diagnosed a bad PCV valve burning off all my oil. This dealership had been sending me promotions after they told me about the bad oil filter prompting me to buy a new Kia. Shady business. You d think the master mechanic at Kia would be able to diagnose a bad valve but instead chose to lie in hopes I d buy a new car when the issue re-emerged. Don t bring your car here for service, dishonest mechanics. Also Kia called me the morning after I posted this review and was very rude and condescending trying to cast shade on the mechanic who actually solved my issue that they somehow missed. Trying to gaslight and intimidate a pregnant woman after you sent her away driving a car with a problem that could cause the engine to fail suddenly is the epitome of terrible service.

Jazmyne was an outstanding sales person. The manager doing the paperwork made the process quick. They had everything ready and it was the easiest car buying experience my family has ever had. I would highly recommend purchasing your kia here. Way better than all the other dealers I went to and I love my new car!!

I have bought several vans from Kia of groton. This weekend we broke down in Vermont and had the van towed to Kia of Groton the service department was fast to diagnose the problem my van was just over 60000 miles I assumed that this would come out of my pocket. Not only did Kiaof Groton fix the problem reported under the warranty but identified and fixed problem that I did not report. I will surely be back this service is above and beyond

Just purchased a niro. The only reason I went to Groton was because they were the only ones that had any supply. Jim the sales man would not work with me at all from delivering the car to all weather mats! They would not give on anything. Felt that all they cared about was selling the car at top price with giving nothing back to their customer. He was also very rhde and short during email communication! I would try any other Kia dealership rather than going to groton

I purchased a Kia Forte GT form Kia of Groton on 8/5/22. During the signing of my loan documents the Finance Manager slipped a 397.00 charge for VIN etching. I was told this was an insurance policy that would give me 2,500 towards the purchase of a new vehicle in the event my car was stolen. I was not given an option to decline this service but felt obligated to pay for it because I was told the glass on the vehicle had already been etched. Upon delivery of the vehicle I noticed the VIN etching had not been done. I was told by the Finance Manager that he would refund the money to the bank that provided my financing. Here it is 2 months later several phone calls to the dealer and KIA Of America, and the money still hasn't been refunded. KIA Of America was absolutely no help and as far as I know they haven't contacted the dealership. This dealer is taking advantage of its customers by tricking them into signing and paying for this useless insurance, the cost of this was 397.00. Beware of this charge, the Insurance company is called Portfolio Protection. I called Portfolio Protection, they stated that a policy had never been opened on my behalf. So KIA Of Groton why would you tell me you were waiting for a refund for a policy that never existed? This sounds like fraud to me! So another thing everyone should be aware of, they will bribe you with free gas to give them all 10's on their post delivery survey from KIA America,. The Finance Manager and the Sales Person will ask you several times if there is any reason why you wouldn't give them 10's on their survey. About a week later I received and email from the dealer with a pre filled out survey showing me how they wanted it filled out. I responded to their email, I stated that I would not lie on the survey for free gas, I never did get the survey from KIA. I have filed several complaints against KIA Of Groton and KIA Of America through the Better Business Bureau and Connecticut Department Of Motor Vehicles Dealer And Repairs. I wouldn't say say the sale was not all bad, I got a reasonable deal on the car considering the times. However I do question their overall integrity and can't say that I'd be eager to return to Kia Of Groton for another vehicle.

Over the weekend my car wouldn't start and I had to call roadside assistance. After dealing with many complications with them (my car was on the 4th floor in a parking garage), I finally was able to get it towed to a nearby Kia. This particular Kia was Michael Kia of Groton. I called ahead to let them know my car was going to be dropped off there and I was informed to leave the keys in the night drop box as the service department is closed in the weekends, as a lot of dealerships are. I received a call early Monday morning to discuss what had happened and they told me they take a look to figure out what the issue may be. A short time later, I received a call back stating it was just a high voltage fuse that needed replacing and the part was ordered to come in the next day, which was no issue. I had also requested an oil change since I was very much overdue. I received the call the next day to say the car was all set and they could email me the invoice and service summary as I was an hour and a half away from them back home. I paid the invoice right away and he called me back right away to let me know they got the payment and made sure I had a spare key as he was going to lock the keys in the car since I wouldn't make it there before they closed. When I arrived there that evening, I found my car nicely parked and freshly washed, looking really nice! I found everything they said where they had left it. I am very happy with the level of service I received from Michael Kia. Shout-out to Derek in his amazing customer service. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone

Under new ownership since spring of 2022. Don t pay attention to old reviews. Current management, sales, and service team are top notch. We just shopped all the area dealers last month for a new car, and these folks were the best by far.

I accompanied my wife here to trade in my old vehicle towards the lease of a new vehicle. Everyone here is extremely courteous and helpful. Jacob was an excellent sales rep and answered every question I had and displayed vast knowledge of all things cars.Eli was also very helpful with taking care of our paperwork and accommodating a vehicle service for our other Kia vehicle.The whole experience was relatively quick and completely painless, even for a car deal. Our concerns were addressed and expounded upon and we left confident in the choice of our new vehicle.Also I recommend you try the hot chocolate, it's breathtaking.

The service coordinators are always pleasant and helpful. I very much appreciate that they keep me well-informed about coming appointments and time remaining for work to be performed when I choose I d to wait onsite. ***** New service 8/3/21. Again had caring service for oil and filter change. Excellent service from Mr Daniel Dallas who has taken it upon himself to investigate a long-running check engine light issue. I have confidence in this KIA service center because of him.

My first experience for service at Michael Kia was great. The staff was kind and courteous. They took great care to explain their services and the cost prior to touching my vehicle. Danielle is great at the front desk! Thank you for a great experience. I'm a new Kia owner (Honda chick) and I have yet to be disappointed with my whole experience.

Wasn't very Happy with outcome. Purchased vehicles not even a full year ago. Got extra insurance (good thing) car starter went bad. Took them over a week to get a part that I was told should be in couple days. Told one price, but when I went to pick up, they tried charging me more than said price. I will never purchase another vehicle nor use their repair service I future. They will try to take advantage and drain as much money as possible. Not to mention not very pleasant people, they will make u wait why they laugh in a back room. Not very professional people. Very displeased especially after having such great dealer to sell me car.
