Hello my name is Bob,I own an older Toyota Avalon with very high mileage. I recently had a transmission issue and Precision Transmission was recommended to me.I met with the owner Bruce. He was so nice, very knowledgeable and very courteous. We discussed several options and I decided to have him rebuilt the transmission.His team did a great job. The transmission shifts like it was new.While in the shop, Bruce did notice that my radiator had a small leak. I had him repair it it while the car was there.I would highly recommend Precision Transmission for your car care needs.Please give Bruce a call...he is a great guy, his prices are fair, he is an honest man and he is a pleasure to do business with.Bob from Bethel, Ct

Richard (Bruce, some call him, but its his last name) have worked on my car before he opened Danbury Precision Transmission. When transmission on my Lexus ES300 went down, I knew exactly who could fix it, and he did it again by tuning it up to a factory standard!He also offered improvements for extending it's life, and warranty I'm now considering while test driving my baby. It shifts as it should, smooth and silky, as it just rolled off the production line. The shop also does other type of auto repairs, and without a doubt as precise as they do transmissions. Bruce is the guy you want to repair your transmission. He s got that experience an aptitude that makes him above the average mechanic. I m not really a review guy, but I would be remiss if I didn t take the time to write this review to say thank you to Precision Transmission and the owner, Mr. Bruce, for the phenomenal job he did on my Camero. My car had a defective heating system.�I spent months trying to find an affordable and honest mechanic in NY and never did. I expressed my frustration to�a friend from CT who recommended Precision Transmission to me. I contacted Mr. Bruce and he was able to start working on my car immediately.�Mr. Bruce is very informative and detailed, and my car was fixed within a week at a reasonable price. My heat has been working like brand new, and I would recommend Precision Transmission to anyone.

I ve been in need of an oil change for the longest and decided to visit this shop. Mr. Bruce was very helpful and attentive to my needs. He even went above and beyond to see if my car was missing anything else . I would definitely recommend anyone to come here . I will be visiting again soon!

Bruce gave me the run around for two weeks, would not honor multiple set appointments....after wasting my company time and money we ended up taking our business to Croce's transmission in Norwalk, who were able to see and diagnose the problem on the same day, Avoid at all costs unless you want to add stress and broken promises to your transmission issues!Service: Transmission

Richard and his staff are true technicians. I take my car for an oil change every 3000 miles. I ask him to rotate my tires. When they do, they check your brakes and let you know when you can expect to have to change them. This helps me to budget. The brake shoes they use are quality and last. I'm not taking my vehicle anywhere else! They care!Service: Brakes

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Damaged my vehicle and didn't even diagnose it correctly, then avoided paying for it! Ended up having to have my insurance cover cost of damage repair, and then replaced my transmission anyway. Tried to pawn off body work to neighboring body shop, who didn't even know what he was talking about. Place is the definition of sketchy, save yourself the head ache and legal troubles, go anywhere else.Service: Transmission

Bruce did a great job repairing my transmission and did so in only 4 days! My 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee was off warranty and I struggled with bringing it back to the dealer or using a local shop. Here is my 8 month review after my transmission was rebuilt. My 2004 chevy Colorado 2wd auto bit the curb on November 2016. I finally had enough money saved and reading reviews for a transmission shop to tackle the fix, I choose Danbury precision transmission. Bruce who took my truck in, called me and told me what needed to be replaced. Basically I am mechanically inclined, Bruce nailed what was needed to be fix that I already knew without telling him. I agreed for a complete rebuild and 8 months later no leaks or problems. I've been able to carry heavy loads of weight on my pickup trucks bed without the transmission hesitating or reacting differently. Overall the work and price is reasonable and very great customer service. Bruce also backs up his work with 12months or 12,000miles warranty which ever comes first if something happens. Great experience dealing with this business and now I'm on my next car that Bruce will be fixing my 2002 Toyota Camry transmission. I ve been a loyal customer of Danbury Precision Transmission for the longest time. I own a couple of old-school JDM cars, like the Honda CRX, Mitsubishi EVOs, and my favorite, the Nissan 240z. I've brought my 1999 Mercedes Benz E320 in for everything from routine maintenance to unexpected repairs where I had no clue what the problem was. They are knowledgable and fast all for a fraction of dealership prices. I would recommend them to anyone .

Most horror stories I hear are from Mechanics. Not this time!! Mr. Richard is genuinely an honest and good person/mechanic. Seems to really enjoy what he does! Thank you for giving me my car back!!! Excellent service, fair prices, very professional, all delivered in a warm friendly environment.I am from out of town my truck got stuck I call Danbury precision transmission explain what was going on with my truck, in no time they send a tow truck diagnose the problem and my truck was up and running the next day... I only Did transmission fluid and filter change,But I can tell that they pay attention to detail and perform quality work.Clean and neat, no spills, no fluid smell, and not over filled.... unlike the other guy who will never see my car in his shop again.

Beware of Bruce at PrecisionAfter about 5 return trips and over $3000 was told all set come get your truck and didn't get a mile up road before breaking back down and will not be bringing it back there ever I'm now paying another mechanic to fix what was supposed to be done by Precision. I DONT RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!!!
