First I want to point out that this was NOT this specific location or its employees fault. I called the number listed for them on goggle and was given an appointment for the same day. Got to the location and was told that they would not be able to do the oil change. Apparently it was an automated service that does not have information about what is actually happening in the store. Poor guy felt really bad and wished that the answering service had checked with them first. Seems that this is an ongoing issue.

Had a coupon for part synthetic oil change. They refused the coupon, telling my husband that his vehicle needs "high mileage" oil. Absolute manipulation and a scam. I have been angry about this since the appointment. And it's not just my husband's coupon they refused. It's almost everyone who brings the coupon into Monroe. Never again. Never never again will we go there. And I will not recommend Monroe in clinton, CT to anyone.

I was lied to by the manager Ray Stevens I was told I had parts that were needed to fix my car and when I went to another dealer that was not the case. I was told to return the next day (twice) and when I returned the employee had no appointment scheduled. It was horrible, and I will never return.

I was just there to do emissions testing on two cars. But I can say that the personnel were friendly and courteous, and the service was performed promptly. I will consider this facility should I need car maintenance services in the future

Made an appointment for 9:30am, get there and person at desk tells me there is nobody to do my wheel alignment. Appointments shouldn t be allowed to be made if nobody is working. Block the time slots so people don t waste their time. My info was in when I made my appointment. They texted me a confirmation. Why not text me when you look at your appointment schedule and let me know not to come?!!!!

Thank you for your straightforward approach to car repairs. My car needed new breaks, new wipers, and an overdue oil change. Repairs were done in a timely manner and the prices were better than the dealer. I'm so glad we have Monro in our community. I appreciate the team.

When you book an appointment through Monro's website, one is asked for a contact phone number and email and the nature of the service. Makes sense. I needed a VIN inspection and noted that on the appointment form. Then you get an appointment confirmation via said email and phone number. Even better. So, you would think that a staffer who knows his VIN inspection machine is broken might use either of those communication options to cancel the appointment before the customer arrives. Nope. Poor form, Monro. I dealt with a dude with way too may piercings and he was lackadaisical about the snafu at best.

Made appointment for oil change online, showed up nobody was there. Lights were on, Computer was on, doors were locked. Waited 30 minutes before leaving.

Thank you to Tom and Lloyd who took the time out to replace a botched tire job I had done at a dealership. I couldn t be happier with the work that was done. Even though this tire wasn t their mistake they replaced it and made sure my car was safe to drive. Thank you guys so much!(Below are pictures of the botched job of a plug/patch that was done at a dealership!)

I went today to make an appointment for work to be done on my 2016 Honda Pilot. Although Monroe is a preferred vendor on my extended warranty policy, the person at the desk refused to do the paperwork. He said he would have to open a ticket and contact the warranty company but refused to do so. He said it was a big hassle and would take weeks . I said I was willing to wait but he still refused. I contacted Firestone and there was no problem and they made the appointment to do the repairs. If you have an extended warranty don t bother going to Monroe in Clinton.

I made a appt online at the Clinton store to fix a leaky tire. I got the confirmation of my appt. When I went the fellow at the desk said I should have called because they never receive any appts from the website. He couldn t fix my tire and I would have to have an appt. I called customer service and no one answered. Very unprofessional.

The manager Mike was an amazing help to me! I ve been to this Monro years ago and said I would never go back. But I needed to get my brakes fixed ASAP and they had openings I m SO happy I went! Mike talked me through every step, weighted options with me, and didn t make me feel uneducated in mechanics. He was very authentic with pricing and what was priority or not. Didn t feel like he was finagling me. I plan to go back for all my repair needs as long as he s managing the team!

I did give you another shot and you didn t fail to get another one star! Walked in on Monday 8-7-23 to ask about getting a tire sensor replaced in my car. The guy behind the desk with the fish hook in his mouth seemed very disinterested in helping me. He said we can t get the sensors so I can t help you?? Went up the street to Town Fair Tire and had 4 sensors replaced in one hour! Never again at this place. Please hire competent people!

Michael is extremely kind and welcoming. I was having trouble with a very flat tire that couldn't be patched, on a rental car. He took the time to check what was wrong with the tire and even referred me to a tire specialist. So gracious, you can tell they really care about helping !

On Saturday my car was making a god-awful racket, and it looked like there was something underneath that was torn. I called up Monroe and they got me in Sunday at 10am. I was there for maybe 5 minutes and they got it in, removed the loose heat shield causing the issue, and told me it was no charge. They were so kind about it all, would highly recommend!

I went in for a oil change and filter. It was easy to make an appointment and was able to get in the next day. The 2 gentlemen who helped me were friendly and efficient. The waiting area was clean. The service person took my car right on time and was done in about 30 minutes. I was happy with the price and the service.

I was referred here to work on my old car. They took it in ASAP and got it back to me almost immediately. Plain and simple. And it's an older car. I don't trust a lot of mechanics, but I trust these guys. They care about cars first and foremost.

THE BEST auto mechanics in town!!! I came in a few weeks back and was having issues with two of my tires loosing pressure. Prior to making an appointment with Monro, I had the same issue fixed with Nissan but the fix didn t work. The Monro guys were so nice and accommodating. Not only did they fix the issue correctly but they didn t even charge me since this was my second time having to get the problem fixed within a few week time period. Don t go to any other place! Highly recommend them!

I made an appointment at Monro in Clinton for 9am on 10/27/22. I got there only to find out that they have only 1 guy who does emissions and he called in sick. I made my second appointment while i was there for the following day, 10/28 at 11am. I realize people get sick and the first appointment could have made contacting me prior difficult and figured the people would be courteous and call me if he was out sick the following day. I got there and he was still out sick. They didn t even try to call. The guy couldnt care less and had zero courtesy. Didnt even bother to apologize. They lost my business.

Very helpful staff. We got a low tire pressure signal while on the road and they checked all four tires and filled them, free of charge. Did not try to sell me anything. Great experience, recommend highly.

Went to Monro auto service today, the place I bought my tires and had other minor work done.I needed to have my front snow tires taken off and my regular tires put back on, I ve been going there for awhile and never needed to make an appointment.However all that changed today.There was an elderly man at the counter and I explained what I wanted done, he responded by saying, oh you want to make an appointment, I said no I would like to have my front tires changed.He stated you ll need to make an appointment for that, I stated I ve never had to make an appointment before. He responded by saying I don t care what you used to do before you re not doing it now .And besides that I have no tire techs here today .It wasn t so bad that he refused me service but it was the way he came across as loud and condescending.I said thank you and as I was leaving he said bye now , very mockingly.I was never treated that way before in this business they were always nice, polite and very helpful but no more.They just lost my business as I will never go there again!!

When I noticed a difference in the way my car was handling as I drove, I took it to Monro's to find out the problem. As a single woman I wanted to take it to people I trusted. I had done business with them in the past, but just for oil changes. They thoroughly went over my car, taking over an hour, with no charge to me. They gave a detailed account of what was wrong, and were very accommodating about servicing my car in 2 separate appointments to make it affordable to me. I highly recommend manager Rick Riggs and his staff for your automotive servicing needs.6/2020 I am adding to my review. After more dealings with Monro, they never still impress me. The new manager, John, is wonderful. Being a woman, I want honesty and trust in whoever I bring my car to. Monro never fails. I highly recommend. Thanks guys!

They do more than mufflers and brakes. I had an O2 sensor out in my truck and they fixed it. They change starters and other things. Also at the one I go to in Clinton Connecticut one of their mechanics LLoyd is a master mechanic trained in engine repair and electrical and brakes and exhaust.

I give them A++++++ customer service! They went above and beyond and help me out greatly. They are very honest and take pride in what they do. I had a flat tire that was beyond repair and had it replaced. They didn't have the same exact type and brand tire at there location but had it delivered from a different shop the same day and work was completed that day as well. Highly recommended and will continue to do business with them.

These guys are the best!! They always get the job done no surprises no sticker shock. I have gone to them for oil changes,tires, alignment, and major mechanical work. They have NEVER let me down. Easy to get a appointment very friendly honest prices could not recommend them more. Do yourself a favor and if your car needs something take it to them ask for John

Highly recommend. I was told they would be great, and they were. For the first time in 5 years a mechanic was able to fix my dashboard tire light, and I didn t even ask them to. They went out of their way to fix (and clearly not charge) by checking the spare. The manager, John, couldn t have been nicer.

Two times in the past week I went in for unexpected, unscheduled service. Both times the work was done quickly and professionally. They quoted me a good price and stuck to it. They even had a battery driven over from two towns away and put it in for me on a busy Saturday. I had to wait there for my car both times and was given periodic updates which I really appreciated. Very happy to have this place right here in town
