If I could give them 0 stars I would.They made us wait 3 1/2 after canceling on use for a week, then broke a lug nut and couldn t rest tire monitor system, incompitance at its best! And charge double the price that they quoted.

I ve finally found an auto repair and tire place that s both honest and fair. Two words you don t always get to say about shops. Brendan is just a great person and always there to help and has never once made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. These guys (Joe too) are great. Highly recommend.

Ppl are nice but keep telling me different times to pick up my car all I need is new tire still waiting going on 1 week and counting.still waiting get called at 255 on Saturday car done but we close at 3pm now I have to wait for Monday place no longer good don't know what happen

Amazing staff and customer service. Joe is always extremely friendly and helpful, he went out of his way to help me with one of my tires when I stopped in the other day, he's a lifesaver!!

I am disgusted about what happened to my mom. They should be ashamed of yourselves. Modern Tire did not even try to make it a quarter or half right!This is what happened:I brought my car there for front brake work. I was charged over $700.Soon afterwards the front brakes began to squeak loudly after driving for about 2 hours.I drive Medicaid and disabled patients to their medical appointments. My regular mechanic advised for me to return my car to Modern Tire as he showed me that the rotor was "scored" and there was a "lip" on the rotor. I have a picture of this. My mechanic further explained that the brake job was not done properly and would need to be done again. When I returned to Modern Tire and the manager Brandon told me that he would need to view the brake job. After having my vehicle for another day, he informed me that there was nothing wrong with the front brakes! They would do nothing. So, I am out over $700. and will need to have the job redone at my own expense. A woman and a senior....clearly been taken advantage of! I am reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and other agencies. After posting this information on the local sites, I have had over 140 people reach out to me while some shared similar stories regarding poor treatment from Modern Tire as well as providing me with very helpful advise and support. I am extremely grateful. I am advising everyone NOT to do business with these people.

Outstanding Customer Service, Graciousness, & Attention to Detail: I brought a brand new car in for a warranty tire service. The "belt" on one of my tires went causing a "rumble" even at lower speeds. I was told the tire rim was "bent" by another garage. I went to repair that and the shop owner at a rim straightening shop said "No way" It is your belt. So. I called the dealer, who told me to call Mopar, who then told me to call Goodyear. I called Goodyear and they told me to go for an inspection.Upon inspection, the very knowledgeable and courteous people at Modern Tire changed the tire upon inspection confirming the same. They also inspected all the other tires as well.Despite being late due to traffic on the main drag because of the high school, they stayed late on a Friday afternoon after 5:00 p.m. to ensure my car was safe.I can not thank them enough for this warranty repair that I was directed to as a choice from Goodyear. Many thanks and good tidings.

My reason for posting this review is to forewarn other customers about the deception that I encountered at this establishment one day ago. Here is my tale: On 3-27-23, I opted to visit this particular Modern Tire for a simple tire rotation since it is nearby to my home. My usual mechanic is much further away and I could not envision any issues with an ordinary, routine tire rotation. Since this was my very first time visiting this shop, I entered with a smile and a great attitude. I handed my keys to the manager at the front desk and simply asked him to inform the mechanic that my keys were labeled where I have one key specifically for the ignition and another key that is designated for the driver's side door only. As I sat in the waiting area (with a clear view of my vehicle), Joe kept me company as we engaged in pleasant conversation.When the technician Emmanuel (or Manny as he is called), approached my vehicle, I watched as he ignored my instructions about the specific keys and after he fumbled with the keys for a minute, I stepped outside to assist him. To my surprise, he immediately became offended that I did so and responded very curtly. I ignored his behavior and returned to the waiting area.After 20 minutes, Emmanuel reentered the shop and lectured me about my tire pressure preferences. He strongly disagreed with my reality of keeping the tire pressure a bit higher during the winter months. I finally requested that he just leave the pressure alone and that I would check the pressure on my own. Emmanuel immaturely stormed off as I was speaking to him.When my vehicle was finished with service, I thanked Joe at the front desk after he graciously corrected two add-on charges on my bill. Since the purpose of my visit was for an ordinary tire rotation, I could not understand why there was an additional $7.00 charge labeled under the heading of "parts needed."In addition, when I went outside to gather my vehicle, I immediately recognized that the tires on the driver's side were NOT rotated at all, but the passenger side was rotated correctly. Unbeknownst to anyone at this shop, I had used a silver Sharpie marker to mark my two front tires prior to my arrival. As a 60 year old woman, I have learned the hard way how to protect my interests whenever I do business at automotive shops.I returned to the shop and asked Joe to follow me out to my vehicle. I then explained the situation and asked him to have another mechanic correct the tire rotation. Joe offered his own services to me instead and I was grateful. While Joe returned to the garage with my vehicle, I went inside and within a few minutes, I overheard much negative conversation between the manager and Emmanuel about me. When the manager emerged from the garage interior, he ignored me entirely, so I approached him and initiated a courageous conversation. He claimed that he knew nothing of the tire rotation error and offered no apology. I also asked to speak to the technician Emmanuel who worked on my vehicle. Emmanuel angrily stalked over to me and displayed more infantile behavior as he raised his voice and shouted that he and another technician had worked on my vehicle and he was unaware that the other mechanic had failed to rotate his side of the vehicle. Emmanuel did not apologize to me, but instead criticized and mocked my concerns.To the readers of my review, I encourage you to be extremely vigilant when bringing your vehicles to this establishment for service. Be especially careful when having fluids changed since you may never know for certain that such a job was truly done. In closing, please also understand that if I was treated with respect and dignity when this error was discovered, I would not have written this review. If I had witnessed accountability and encountered some apology, I would have understood that mistakes can happen. Thanks for reading!

I placed a call, I believe, was last week, on a Thursday. I spoke with Joe and inquired if Modern sells used tires. Joe informed me that they did not and gave me a quote for 4 new tires. He also informed of another location that did sell used tires. I asked if I was only interested in two and what would i be charged. Joe, from what it seemed, wrote down my name, car make/model and phone number. He stated that he would call me back the next day in the AM. I informed him to leave me an email, as I would be at work and could not answer the call. I tried to be understanding when I didn't hear or receive a message on Friday. People can be busy.Well....I finally stopped waiting for the call this week that I never received. Since Modern is closer to my home, I would've gone to this location if I was provided with the complete info of the conversation that happened. Unfortunately, not all my current questions were answered, thus I'm not interested in becoming a customer, as I might not get an answer to future questions.

Great place staff was friendly Brendan, Joe, and the tech Manny who serviced my vehicle had a tire rotation and alignment done car feels great definitely will be back here for service!!

Recently had new tires put on a trailer had emissions done and a vin check As usual Brendan and Manny at the Cheshire location were great to deal , done fast and the tires were a good price .

I ve always had good experiences here. I ve never had to wait long at all ( maybe I got lucky). But the guys are quick and efficient!

Joe and the others are so helpful. I will be a repeat customer. They worked within my budget to get me the best deal. Fridays & Saturdays are their busiest so call ahead to get their estimated wait times on their different services.

Called the week before to set up emission testing being that I don't have all day to sit around waiting to get emissions done. Was told no need for appointments quick process 20 to 30 min max. 40 mins later of sitting in the waiting area go outside to check if my car was even inside. Car was still parked in same place I left it. Not to mention place didn't seem too welcoming. Walked inside said good morning. Guess I was talking to myself. Only person there was behind the desk. Get to the desk and get the look as if I'm bothering by coming to get service... i gladly took my services elsewhere...

Good place to get your emissions testing done. They are not the best at predicting the time it takes. They said I would be done in 20 minutes and it took 40. Get there early on a Saturday if you don't want to wait long. I got there 15 min after they opened and there was already 3 people infront of me. At least 5 others came in while I was waiting.

I had been referred to modern tires to get an alignment performed on a car. We were told if we dropped it off Saturday it would be done by the end of the day. When we went to pick the car up end of day Saturday we were told they could not get to it would we mind leaving it for them to perform first thing Monday morning. We agreed to leave it unfortunately at 430 p.m on Monday they had still not touched the vehicle. We received a phone call around 530p.m Monday evening stating the mechanic could not perform the alignment because the adjusters had to be replaced. We picked up the car got the adjusters fixed and my husband called Thursday and made an appointment for an alignment to be done on Friday at 9 a.m. Wellll at 1030 a.m I placed a call to my brother who had brought the vehicle there and he informed me the car had still not been touched even with and appointment made. Needless to say I placed a phone call to the shop and my husband also placed a separate phone call. We both spoke with the gentlemen ED who answered the phone and he was very rude to us. He barely said a word to my husband when he called he just kept repeating "yup" and when I called he seemed to not care that this was now our 3rd attempt in a week to get an alignment performed or care about the fact that my brother was now loosing his whole day to sit there after an appointment was made. He said a truck had been stuck on a lift since 2p.m Thursday that they received the wrong parts and were waiting for the parts. They opened up at 7a.m Friday they could have called us to reschedule the appointment. Anyway The car was finally taken in to be worked on at 12 p.m. I will not be referring this garage to anyone unless some changes are made ......the only thing we were happy with was the work performed by the mechanic Frank

My SUV had balding tires and they needed to be replaced ASAP. I was referred to Brendan by others several times in the past, as he has a great reputation of slinging some great options for rubbers...low, mid, and high grade treads. Prices were very competitive. Car was in and out and am pleased with the tires we decided on. Would strongly recommend Brendan and Modern Tire of Cheshire

While visiting from out of state, overnight all 4 low tire sensors lit up on my dashboard. My sister recommended Modern Tire. They were awesome- took me right in without an appointment, explained simply what had happened then fixed my tires up for no charge! I tipped the young service guy and drove away very happy!!! Need tire service- go to Modern Tire in Cheshire!

I teach at Dodd Middle School and was looking for a nearby auto shop to drop my car off and have serviced while at work. Brendan was not only knowledgeable and friendly, he even coordinated rides back and forth to work when necessary. So happy with my decision to switch and look forward to continuing with their services!

Brendan was extremely helpful when I was having engine issues back in May. Very knowledgeable about the problem when explained over the phone. Dropped my car off Tuesday morning and was back in it Tuesday night.Great staff great service

Had a 4 o'clock appointment but car wasn't taken back until 4:30. Car got done at 5. Early morning appointments are probably best. There were 4 other people there when I got there. Also, no snacks, only coffee No deals or coupons given, nor told where to find them.

Been told twice that emission testing is closed by state. Drove a few miles up the road to L&S automotive and get the testing done in 10 minutes. Won't be back there again after seeing L&S which is such a clean place and efficient staff.

Modern tire was great! I needed to have a flat repaired. They had an appointment at 1pm and let me drop off the tire early. They ended up not only fixing the tire but putting it back on my car within the hour of drop off. Also I'm pregnant with two little kids and they came out to me so I didn't have to unload the kids! Huge plus for this mom! Larry, Brennan and AJ we're all fantastic!

I have three vehicles (BMW, Mazda, and a Ford F-150) that I bring to Modern for repairs, oil changes, and tires. Larry and his guys are great! They do the proper diagnostics and have fair pricing. I highly recommend Modern and I'm actually bringing in my mother's Hyundai for rotors and brakes so for a no bs shop this is the place.

I went there for an emissions test. I was told it would take about 45 minutes and it did. The place is clean and the person behind the counter professional. They do tires and a whole lot more. I may give them a try for servicing.

Excellent turn around on emissions testing, but customers wore masks, and most staff, including the man working the desk, did not. Hate to feel I'm taking my life in my hands just to get service on the car.

Awful experience made appointment for new tires said they would call never called. Place closed up and called the 1800 number lucky she was able to get the manager on the phone and got the guy who was suppose to call us to reopen. They proceeded to lie instead of own it. Worst experience. Will never go back nor recommend the place to anyone. Dishonest repair shop stay away.

Modern Tire is the only service center i trust to work on my car. the video diagnostics showing exactly what needs to be done are a great way to ensure that the services performed are what you need. Modern tire and Brendan the manager of the store in Cheshire always go above and beyond!
