I have used Custom Color in the past for repair & have always had great experiences! Recently I brought my Jeep in to have the front bumper replaced. Adalea quickly snapped photos & started the process w/ my insurance company. It took a little bit longer than expected, but that was no surprise as they are usually busy and they are busy because of the great work they do! When I picked up my Jeep, the body worked looked awesome & I felt like it was a new car. They even gave it a wash & the interior was cleaned as well! My vehicle did come back with a large crack in the windshield due to a chip I had, that cracked under the extreme weather. Callie put in so much time & effort dealing with my insurance company, attempting to get them to cover the windshield. Even after I got frustrated with the whole situation who is responsible, why is this taking so long, yadda yadda .Callie called & patiently & professionally explained the process & the delay. I appreciated the communication so much, as I know Callie & her team juggle a lot given how busy they are. All in all, I am very pleased with the outcome of my vehicle & the service. Even with the windshield debacle, it s nice to know that there are still businesses that genuinely care about their customers & work hard to make things right. I would highly recommend Custom Color to anyone who needs body work/repair done to their car.

If you re car needs more than cosmetic repairs do not take your car here. As previous reviews state my car was repaired after three months but returned with a major crack in the windshield. Tow your car to a larger shop and save yourself the headache. Shop was also annoyed when calling and said I m 70th in line.

My car was the victim of a hit and run which damaged my driver door. They worked quickly with my insurance company to get an estimate. With in a couple days they called to set up an appointment for the repair. Not only did they get the door fixed in a week and a half, they gave it a bath. I highly recommend Custom Color and their team to anyone in the High Country.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Callie and her team at custom color are excellent. They worked with my insurance company to get my car fixed in a timely manner even with all the parts issues in the US right now. I just picked up my vehicle after a bumper repair, and it was by far, one of the WORST experiences I've had with any body shop. Firstly, be prepared to add 2-3 extra weeks to the estimated repair time. And they will never call you with updates, I had to constantly call to check on the progress and new finish date. Secondly, I had a small nick in my windshield for over 8 months. When I arrived to finally pick up my car, that little nick had grown to a 1.5-foot-long crack. I received no apology or explanation, but simply handed my keys and shooed on my way. When I pressed the guy who handed me my paperwork, he said the heat process after painting the new bumper (which apparently can go up to 150 degrees) often results in this happening. He said "Yeah, it happens all the time. Especially with cars in this area" (referencing the poor road conditions in winter here, resulting in many windshield cracks). It was heavily implied it was my fault for not understanding this process and risks associated before the repair took place.Later, after stewing on this for a couple hours, I called back and spoke to a different girl. Who said actually, my car HADN'T gone through that heat process, but simply got the crack from sitting outside in cold. This change of story was strange, but handily lifted any and all responsibility from the shop's shoulders. (Also to note, my car has been sitting outside in -20 degree weather for MONTHS before this.) She also said "they didn't have time to explain this risk to every customer" WHAT?! It takes less than 10 seconds during the first inspection (6 weeks before I actually could bring it in for repair) to say "hey, you should get that patched before the repair." This whole new explanation was shady, esp when she continued with "I reviewed the cameras so we can confirm that nick was already there when you brought it in".........when I never tried to imply it wasn't.It's always disappointing when auto companies/shops treat customers this way, esp those going through insurance. They don't care as long as they get the insurance money. But I would recommend avoiding if possible; there are other body shops in Steamboat that I'm sure wouldn't act this way.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Great service. Had a sunroof explode on me. They were able to get me in quickly provided great communication the whole time. Car came back way cleaner than I left it with them!!

Callie and her team are the BEST! Had body repairs that needed to be done as part of an insurance claim. Custom Color was fast, efficient, and the car was better than before it got hit in a parking lot. I have never had such great service from an auto body repair service. The best part was that the car was so clean inside and out when I picked it up, that it was like brand new!!! 5-Stars all the way!!!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I have very high standards when it comes to having work done on my property. That said, I was extremely happy with both the quality of work and the customer service I received from Custom Color. I'm new to Steamboat having moved here from Florida recently and I asked around for references. I'm very happy that I used Custom Color and that USAA accepted them for my repairs. My car looks brand new and they even spruced up the interior. I highly recommend Custom Color for repairs if you have high standards.

I have been in there twice, first for a small dent which they fully repaired in a timely manner and did such an amazing job which even included the outside and inside of my car being detailed! The second time was for getting hit head on which ended up totaling my car all together. They took care of my car even though they normally don t take care of the insurance that the other driver had which made me super grateful considering I didn t want to have to take my car anywhere else to figure out what was wrong with it and what needed to be done. Everyone there is very respectful and so helpful. They made sure that I knew what was going on every step of the way and when I picked up my car it looked as if it had been professionally detailed inside and out. The whole entire crew seemed so passionate about every job that was brought to them. I 100% recommend everyone to bring their car to Custom Color if they want the job done right and I wouldn t bring my car anywhere else.

Just came back from Custom Color and had to share my experience. A++, all around. Seriously, had some minor paint work that a place down the road didn't want to touch because it was a "Tesla". Huh? It's just some scratches, and you're a paint place! So I came to see these guys and I was in and out in 30 minutes, and flawless work to boot. I had my Subaru Legacy towed to Custom Color after having been hit while parked on 9th & Yampa. My front bumper was nearly ripped off and the team at Custom Color did a great job of working with the other driver's insurance company to get my car put back together so that I could get it home to Denver for full repairs.I was beyond impressed with both the owner and his wife, who went out of their way to help me, even though I wasn't able to get the full repair done with them due to timing. They helped me secure a rental car, kept my car over the weekend while waiting for the adjuster to come and coordinated the temporary repair with the adjuster, all while making minimal profit for their efforts. Truly, I was impressed and would absolutely recommend this business.

I got t-boned at my apartment complex and had no idea what to do. I called custom color and not only did they tell me they would fix my car but the lovely gal at the front desk gave me advice on how to handle my first accident (not my fault) they gave me the number to a tow truck and even offered me a courtesy call when I procrastinated to have my vehicle taken in on time to make sure I had all the info i needed. Once it was there they had it fixed in a timely manner (the day they had quoted me) and sent me text updates throughout the entire process. I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. It made a very stressful situation into an easy process. I will recommend custom colors to anyone I know.

Beware. Their employee dave is very unstable. I have 2 cars that needed paint and body work. When i heard he was still there.... Ill drive to Craig. I can't give my money to a business that works people like Dave. He has anger issues. And attacked my family for no reason. While that has nothing to do with your business. Having that psycho around lost you my business on a 2020 expedition and a f250 tremor.

The workmanship is exceptional. I have used Custom Color several times and the car is fixed right the first time and returned clean. Dave,Patty and the crew are amazing.

Best body shop in town. Great customer service. Great quality of work! They got the job finished in a timely matter and exceeded my expectations. Truck was also fully detailed inside and out. I recommend them over any one else. Thanks guys! Much appreciated!

Jake and the entire team were fantastic, I had a small collision with substantial damage to the left front end and the Custom Color team had it completely repaired in 5 days. If only the owners attitude and craftsmanship actually matched his webpage he might have a decent business. "With over 25 years of experience and a drive to ensure that our customers expectations are not only met but exceeded". Not only did he not exceed expectarions but he didnt even come close to even meeting expectations. The work done looks like it was done by a backyard mechanic trying to do body work for the first time. Owner has a bad attitude doesnt want to fix properly. He should be ashamed to send cars out in that condition.

Horrible!!! The owner Is so aggressive and rude. He approached me as if I was making some kind of false insurance claim and the treatment I received was nothing short of pure hatred for their work, it is as if they do not even want your business. Not even worth one star

Unfortunately, it took me 3 weeks to get in here, and once I did, they had my car for 8 hours and didn t have time to get an estimate done . So I had to take my car somewhere else.
