FAKE REVIEWS!!!! DO NOT GO HEREI only put this at 5 stars so it actually gets seen. This shop is a scam. My car broke down at the entrance Eisenhower tunnel. My power steering pump blew up in the middle of the night. My insurance only tows within a 20 mile radius so I ended up at this shop and it was the worst mistake I made. I bought the parts and took them to shop to be replaced. They charged me $600 because they knew I had no other options being that I do not live in Silverthorne. I stayed in a hotel overnight and I went the following day to pick up my car. They told me everything worked great and they left the key under the mat for me because it was the weekend and no one was there. I COULD NOT EVEN DRIVE OFF THE LOT. They lied, took my money and couldn't even answer a call. I took my car to a second shop where I had to pay another $1200 to fix my power steering rack because they left it dry and blew my brand new pump. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Very negative experience with this place. My windshield fluid wasn t spraying so I came into have it fixed with the thought that maybe the pump was the issue but I specified that I wasn t sure. I provided the replacement pump part and told them that if that s the issue please replace it, but made it clear I could not diagnose it myself. Three hours later I get a call that my car is ready and I arrive to a $360+ labor charge but the issue was not resolved. They replaced the pump without even diagnosing the root issue and charged me for the labor associated. Absolutely illogical repair process and I leave with the same issue still there, half a day wasted, and hundreds of dollars down the drain. They even told me they could go back and diagnose the issue that would cost $160 and I would have to wait the rest of the day or come back another day. The least they could have done was admit they should have diagnosed it immediately after discovering the pump wasn t the issue and called me to discuss. No solution was proposed at any point. What a waste of time, money and effort.

The staff was super nice and took us in for a tire repair quickly. Recommended a good coffee shop and the tire was ready by the time we walked back. Loved the text for completion along with the details on the repair. Definitely recommend!

I am very impressed with Goodway Auto Repair. They went above and beyond in taking care of me in a time of need. They took an unexpected, unfortunate situation and made it completely manageable with their willingness to work after hours on a Friday evening to replace the alternator on my Toyota Tundra. My truck stalled coming down Loveland Pass, and I pulled over across from Keystone Resort. This happened at 5:00 pm. I am from out of town and was on my way to Salida for the weekend. I was stressed and worried about the possibility of having to spend the weekend in Silverthorn. I was amazed to hear that the team at Goodway was able to fix it right away. I was back on the road by 7:45 pm. They were friendly and professional and willing to care for me after hours. I was thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend their services.

What a great place and wonderful people. IF I could give more than 5 I most certainly would!! My Jeep broke down in a snowstorm and numerous people told me THIS is where I needed to go. I called Monday morning from motel where AAA had towed me. They got me in, replaced clutch, flywheel and a few other things and was done on Wednesday morning. They didn t get all the parts until Tuesday. Of course had all the diagnostics done Monday afternoon. IT S MUCH MORE THAN THAT THO. They were amazing to deal with and turned a bad situation SO MUCH better!! They are and always will be VERY MUCH appreciated!!

I would absolutely not recommend coming here. We had an issue with our brake pads and rotors, and they quoted us $1200 for the fix. Another mechanic quoted us $500 for the exact same service. As a part of their assessment, they took the tires off, for which they needed the wheel lock. The wheel lock was not located in the glove box, but they still searched the glove box when looking for it, even after being told where it was. They took everything out of the glove box and made an absolute mess of the car. They scattered the items from the glove box all over the car and made no attempt to clean up the mess or put anything back afterward. I am attaching a photo of the condition they left our car in. They also tried to charge us $171 for a simple diagnostic of the problem. I would absolutely not recommend coming here. The only silver lining of this place is that Brad was very nice and reasonable. Do not waste your time or money coming here. They will disrespect you and your vehicle, and overcharge you.Service: Brakes

I never leave negative reviews, but this one was earned in a few ways.Quoted $300 for 2022 Rav4 Adventure EcoHitch + wiring harness install - vehicle specific (that was written - verbatim). I was charged $550. The tech installed the hitch under my bumper and took an unnecessary 1.5 of clearance away. I realized weeks later that tech installed a cheap wiring harness and stuck the one I provided under my seat.Unaware of the latter, I paid without complaint aside from telling the owner it was unfair. Ultimately, it s a tentative quote (albeit written) and these things happen. The homies got me in quickly so I paid and thanked them as if nothing happened.A few weeks later I found the wiring harness I bought, unopened, underneath the front passenger seat. I only checked out the install in detail then and realized they removed and cut panels unnecessarily through the interior of my vehicle to do this.The install is a matter of dropping the exhaust, bolting it on using existing threads & provided hardware, and cutting the plastic bumper with a rotary tool to maintain ground clearance. The wiring harness is intended to go on without fully removing any interior panels as well, IIRC.The actual install took from 9:00am - 15:00 after the owner told me definitely in the morning . Everything else was cordial, I didn t actually call to talk to them first because I live in philly now and what are they really gonna do?It s a professional shop and I know my experience was a fluke. Nonetheless im kinda pissed. YMMV.

Got us back on the road in 24 hours. So glad we found Goodway and didn t try to drive the vehicle home with check engine lights. Brad is super responsive and a good communicator.

I brought my car to Goodway Auto after a huge snowstorm with a flat tire. I was desperate to get home after being stranded in Summit County during the storm. The folks at Goodway were so kind, they got me in right away and fixed the problem within an hour and it cost a fraction of what I would have paid anyplace else. I cannot express my gratitude for their kind and honest service and for getting me home safely. Thank you gentlemen!

tl,dr; Goodway Auto Repair is a very very good auto repair shop that cares about the quality of their work and getting their customers back on the road.The general manager, Brad graciously explained to me about compression braking after I had blown out my brakes on my Toyota Tacoma; I was towing a heavy load down a steep mountain pass. I brought my truck to their shop on Friday evening just before they closed for the day. I had to get a hotel and then the next morning I was asked to authorize the repairs. I'm very very thankful that they worked so hard on my truck and got it repaired the next day. Replaced front brake caliper, pads and rotors, rear drum adjustment. Using Brad's advice in operating my vehicle I was able to use compression braking like a pro the rest of my trip to San Francisco, California. Brad the general manager and the entire business of Goodway Auto are committed to the high quality of their work and graciously educating their customers to operate their vehicles properly so that such mishaps are avoided in the future. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with this business. In particular Brad cultivates business relationships which auto parts suppliers so that he can quickly get parts delivered to his shop so that they can make the required repairs. I ended up sitting in the office for a while and watched their professional interactions with the other customers, some of whom had a similar story to me, blowing out their brakes going down the steep mountain roads with too much brakes and no compression braking (using the engine and transmissions to brake). They get a lot of impatient demanding customers that want their vehicles fixed immediately. Please try to understand that they fix vehicles in the order they are received with paperwork signed.Take your vehicles to Goodway Auto and be patient and polite. They will do their job very competently. It was worth every penny I paid.Thank you Brad and your team of mechanics! I feel a huge sense of gratitude.

Couldn't ask for a nicer group of Humans! They worked on my cars' issue the entire day. Communicated any snags along the way and sensed the urgency of needing my ride back the same day, so worked an hour past closing to accomplish the task. Much love Goodway Family!Thank you again

My car was towed here after breaking down on 70. I was told it was an ignition coil, and that the car was fixed. I come to get it (I live an hour and a half away), and the check engine light is in on and my computer reads that a cylinder is misfiring. Car shakes when accelerating.I brought it back, and they said it needs an engine tune up. I asked why they didn t do that, and they had no answers other than they forgot. I told them I lived an hour and a half away but they couldn t do the bare minimum to make the car roadworthy before having me make a 3 hour round trip.It took me 200 feet of driving to figure out they hadn t done their job, and now I have to limp my vehicle up and down mountain passes to get it to a shop I can trust.Very, very poor service.Edit: took my car to the local shop I ve used for years and they found a plethora of issues Goodway never noted or fixed. Very upset that I paid $700 to goodway just to have to take my car to a more reputable shop. In retrospect I should have just paid the $400 for the tow to Denver. Hope this helps anyone else stuck on 70.

I wish I could give more stars. I was coming up from Denver when my brakes started shuddering. I thought it would be smart to just check it out and make sure everything was okay. We went to multiple different places at 6pm on a Friday and everyone turned us away, except for Goodway. They said they would stay an extra 15 minutes to check it out. They did a full diagnostic and found that though I had no lights on while I was driving, I had no oil left and my brakes were metal on metal. They also let me know there s a lawsuit going on for my specific engine and helped guide me what to do if it gives me any more problems with excessive oil usage. After seeing how bad of shape my car was in, Dennis and his crew offered to stay over an hour past their closing time to help me. It was a very reasonable price to get up to Aspen and back home safely. I cant thank them enough for the help.Please go here and give them your business. Best service in a long time with so many friendly technicians + Dennis the Menace!!!!!!

Guys really helped me out of a bind working after hours to complete my repair.Coming back from skiing car started overheating. Goodway was the only place that answered and performed a diagnostic shortly after I brought it in. When I told them I needed to get home all the way to the springs, some of team stepped up and got my repairs done so I could get home that night. I was in a real pickle until stopped by and glad that I did.

Denis, the owner is absolutely amazing My 22 yr old daughter was traveling from South Dakota on her way to Grand Junction Colorado when she started having issues with her vehicle I called Denis five minutes after closing time and he said he would be willing to wait till she arrived Her vehicle would shimmy terribly when she would hit the brakes, so I knew it was something serious He kept his shop open, got my daughters vehicle in diagnosed and was able to get to the parts store before they closed and repaired my daughters vehicle, and she was on the road by 7:30 PM. Amazing service & kindnesses!!!?

Highly recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else. These guys pulled off one of my brand new cv axels off and replaced with a used one that has a zip tie holding the boot on. They also installed "new" moog upper ball joints that I had to replace a few days later because they would not hold grease in the boots. They then told me they flushed and added new power steering fluid, however they did not bleed the air out and my power steering and brakes locked up and would not work a few days later. Take your vehicle somewhere else.

We struggled into town. We had just cleared Vail Pass towing our travel trailer and our F-150 was overheating. We contacted nearby Summit Ford right away they located the part we thought we needed but simply had NO techs available, which is of course a common problem this time of year in this area. But they did have a recommendation: nearby Goodway Auto Repair. The service manager assured us they knew the business very well and that he provided access to Ford parts to Goodway routinely. We went straight to Goodway. Here s what happened: Brad, who runs the place, walked us through a bunch of options and helped us select a plan of action. He thought, but could not promise, that they could complete the work that evening or the following day. (We were scheduled to leave the day after.) The next morning the work was done and we are on the way toward home, with advice from Brad about how best to avoid any more trouble as we cross the passes ahead. (By the way, being a suspicious person, I thought we might get the tourist price. Nope. The cost was more than 25% less than the estimate.)

I couldn t be happier with this place! We took our new-to-us RV out for the first time and almost died coming down I-70. Thanks Camping World of Golden, who sold us an RV without checking the brakes (you truly don t care about customer safety). Thankfully Dennis got the RV in and that same day they did all four brakes and rotors, and they even stayed late to do it. We called around in Denver and most places wouldn t even do the brakes but the couple quotes we did get were around the same price quoted by Goodway. I would say they are very reasonably priced and honest mechanics and thanks to them (definitely NOT Camping World of Golden), we made it back to Denver with our lives and our RV intact.

Friday night had a heater hose fitting break. Had my van towed to the shop, followed instructions for checking in online. Was contacted about the repair on Monday was repaired and ready to go on Tuesday. Its a first come first serve shop. I'm happy.

I DO NOT recommend this business! I was in town for a week on a work project. My GMC 3500 check engine light came on and the code was for glow plug number 1. I called first and asked if they could do glowplug changes. They said yes. I dropped it off at 9am when they opened and it was finished at 6pm. I drove back to the hotel and the next day the check engine light came on again. Same issue glow plug number 1. I took it back and they said they would do it again under their warranty. Another whole day without my work truck again. They called and said it was fixed and I picked it up around 5pm. Got back to the hotel and checked out the next morning. Guess what?!?!?! Light on again same issue. I drove back to the shop and spoke with Brad the owner or the manager. He was rude as you know what. Kept saying I can t push the schedule around to accommodate you. I didn t want anymore business from them I wanted my money back at this point. He said no and that I had to take it to a dealership to get it fixed then call them to try and get my money back. The worst business ever! I paid for something to be fixed and they didn t do it right twice and now won t give my money back. I will be calling the Better Business Bureau tomorrow guaranteed! As well as anyone else that I need to in order rectify this situation. To top it off Brad also said that they don t work on diesel engines so why did you say you can change glow plugs when I initially called the first day. Liars and thief s! Stay away from this business!

I took my vehicle to this workshop because the cheat engine light came on. When I arrived I explained the problem with the car. What happened was that they changed the spark plugs, the car filters, and the oil, for a price of 1,444 dls. hahha crazy, but after 2 weeks what do you think? I had the same problem for which I took the car, the cheat engine light came on again... I called them to tell them the problem and what a surprise they took me in, in the rudest way they responded... I took my car to another mechanic and he fixed my problem for 300 usd, do not take your car to these thieves, they charged me 1400 for a problem that they did not solve... this workshop is scammers and I have proof of it

The gentleman at Goodway were so kind and helpful to me. My vehicle battery needed to be replaced urgently. The folks at Auto Zone were unable to swap out the batteries due to corrosion. Goodway stayed late to replace my battery and get me back on the road quickly. I cannot thank them enough!

We are so grateful for Brad and the team at Goodway! Our truck engine light came on just out of silverthorne on the Friday before memorial day weekend. We called around and visited a couple of the mechanics in town but all were booked out weeks in advance - we were in a serious pickle given we were en route to Utah for a camping trip... The team took the car in and ran diagnostics within 2 hours to identify the problem. They called us back and told us the work required to fix the issue and the price. They confirmed they'd be able to get the work done between 2pm and 4pm on the same day! We were delighted to get a call at 1.30pm saying everything was complete and we could collect the vehicle.The team really went above and beyond to care for us - there was a rain shower while they were working on the truck and the tray full of our gear was exposed. They kindly turned the truck around so our tray was undercover!We made it to our destination and home again at the end of the weekend without the engine light coming - we're very happy!I would certainly recommend Brad and his team I hope we don't have any more mechanical issues but, if we do, Goodway will be that place we go.

HUGE THANKS to Brad and his team at Goodway Auto Repair for taking the time to fit me in the day after the Memorial Day holiday to fix a damaged tire on the family car while we were away from home. After going to 3 other local shops and calling a handful of others. I either got silly excuses of why they wouldn t fix our tire or absurd time estimates in the number of days/weeks or having them actually asking me to just bring in the tire by itself when I have no other vehicle to do so. Goodway delivered and came to our rescue! Did I wait in the shop 3 hours? YES. Was I patient because they were doing me a favor by squeezing me in with other work? ABSOLUTELY! Are they short staffed like everyone else and trying to do the best they can to deliver? NO DOUBT. In the time I spent there I witnessed how hard these guys worked to fulfill their customers needs, answering calls nonstop, working to pick up some customers and yes, working on cars. I believe these guys are straight shooters looking to do good work and get you on your way. Be patient, friendly, understanding and willing to work with them, they will get you right. These are good people. MANY MANY THANKS!

I only had the best experience at Goodway. Our car had a tire pop during a huge snowstorm and we would ve been stranded if it weren t for the people at Goodway. They got our car fixed up (we were on a rod trip so they made sure our car was safe to drive) and the cost was very reasonable. Everyone we interacted with was very kind and helpful.

My son's car broke down in a nearby city. We had the car towed to Goodway and Brad took care of everything. He knew we were 900 miles away, and he kept me informed about everything. The car was diagnosed the same day. Unfortunately, it had a cracked block and needed a new engine. His charge of 170.00 was reasonable. Further, the car was towed to a Chevrolet dealer in Denver and they came up with the same conclusion. He could have taken advantage of our situation, but instead went above and beyond.Service: Auto maintenance
