This shop replaced my battery in May of this year, so when my Subaru randomly died in an intersection this morning, I gave them a call. Ferg drove out to meet me where I was parked to check my battery, cables etc. He arrived within 5 minutes and was super kind and helpful. Unfortunately it s likely an issue I need to see the Subaru dealership for but I appreciated Ferg s willingness to get out to me right away at no charge, and ensure I was safe.

Great experience! Had extremely balled tires that were about to blowout when I got into town from Northern CO, Had a brand new set in within 2 hours and was back on the road safe and sound for the rest of my adventure. Awesome shop, friendly and very quick service! Would recommend to anyone that needs any maintenance done to their car in the Salida area. The A/C in the waiting area was also very nice, nice spots to sit outside and wait as well

Highly recommended! I was visiting from out of town, had a flat tire and leaving the next day, and AAA is a joke. I called the shop, a gentleman named Ferg answered and took care of me. Customer service is top notch. Just remember to be patient and have reasonable expectations. Don t be a jackwagon.Service: TiresService: Tires

While traveling through Colorado our way to Arizona the Low Tire Pressure warning light came on in Salida. We checked 3 tire shops and this was the only one that would even look at the tire. They determined that is was a nail. They fixed it and we were on our way in short order. They were extremely helpful and profession. We safely completed our trip on their repair.Service: Tires

Was on a recent vacation, driving from Denver to Pagosa Springs and our rental car was severely leaking oil, dripping out on the ground when we stopped to check it. Our GPS lead us to this Valvoline and they quickly found a loose oil filter and fixed it. We were on our way in about 10 minutes. They were so generous, prompt and accommodating! And we loved their friendly dog, Blue!

This shop is fantastic! I woke up to a flat tire & called around. This is the week after the July 4th holiday, so a busy one I'm sure for vehicle services. The guys at Valvoline answered the phone on my first call (which is rare in this town) & had me come in right away. I arrived & they got on in it immediately - repaired it on the spot. The whole thing took maybe 10 min, they didn't even charge me. They were SUPER nice. Highly recommend & will come back!Service: Tires

My wife and I had a leaking tire and Ferg got us in straight away. Found a screw and plugged the tire in minutes! He could have had us wait much longer due to his workload but decided to get us back on the road asap! Great ambassador for this company!

We were traveling thru town found we had a screw in our tire. After being told by another tire shop it would be several hrs before they could even look at it we stopped by here. They got us back on the road in 10 min and didn t even charge us!!!!! Very very nice people great customer service!!!! Can t thank them enough for the way they treated us!!!Service: Tires

While we were entering the town, our car gave an alert saying engine is overheating change engine oil.We called valvoline as it was close by, Scott Ferguson the store manager answered. He said we could stop by and he could change the oil.We stopped by and changed coolant and oil. He suggested us to drive around the block and he could take a look again. We did drive for 5-10 minutes and engine heated again.Scott took a look again and the coolant leaked which couldn t be fixed.At this point it was closing time for Valvoline and we were stranded because we had no where to go. Our car was a rental.We have already called them multiple times if they could send a vehicle or tow.Scott stayed past the closing time and talked to the representatives explaining the situation and arranging the necessary contacts. He spent about 1-2 hrs on phone with reps.He s very kind, very helpful , knowledgeable and really wants to help people - a good samaritan. Without him we would ve been clueless.Thanks to him we got our vehicle towed and got a car reverse towed to our location.

Had a nail in my tire on the way to go fishing and I pulled in right as they were closing up and Ferg didn't hesitate to help. Many would have said we are closed, but Ferg and the team there are not like those other shops. He pulled the nail out and plugged the tire and got me back on the road in under 10 minutes!

For 10 years I have changed my oil here. But today for the first time ever, despite nothing stating lunch hours on the doors, they took an hour out. I watched six customers pull up and leave before I lost patience and left as well. In the past they always rotated lunch so that they could handle the sheer volume of customers. This is how business is done these days I guess. I'll just take my trucks to the dealership from now on.Service: Oil change

I had a very good experience at Valvoline Express Care. The staff were swift, informative and courteous. I was shown the air filter and had the option of replacement; my engine level check and tire check were included in my oil change.Even though there were a few cars ahead of me I did not wait long nor did I feel rushed. I ll be back again.

They got us in and out for an oil change very quickly! The service is what you would expect from a quick lube garage, it was okay. Make sure you know what kind of oil they want to use on your car, they have something they call a "shop mix" and they really try to talk you into using it instead of a name brand oil. Overall it's better than Walmart I'll definitely go back for my next oil change.

I pulled into the bay as instructed. A young skinny kid was guiding me. I was rudely told to pop the hood because, I should already know what he wanted me to do next I guess. I am longtime friends with the manager and some of the staff. They have this new stay in your vehicle policy. Having worked on some of the equipment and being friends with many of the staff I stepped out of the vehicle as I always have in the past. I was immediately yelled at by the skinny kid to get back in my vehicle as if he was a cop and I was breaking the law. Told him no it s OK I m going inside. The kid yelled at me three more times telling me to get back in the vehicle and eventually slammed the hood with a great amount of force. Fortunately he did not dent it, but easily could have easily cause body damage. Valvoline express care is no longer a friendly atmosphere.

I ve been goin here for oil changes for sometime, after today, I will take my money elsewhere. I pulled around the back and was awaiting instruction from one of the techs, one of them yelled out from inside, pull in this bay, we can t change it out there! I m not one to let things like this bug me, especially from some skinny punk but, that was ridiculous. I went in to inform the owner and he just gave me a blank look . Great customer service!

$95 for an oil change on a Nissan Versa! That's twice the price of the Valvoline Express in Alamosa. Staff in Salida were friendly and fast. Price is an absolute ripoff. I will not return.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

The main guy who greeted me needs training in customer service. He was rude, dismissive and accusational. He was a young man, so i gave him some slack...he may get better with age...or not.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

This place was great ! I needed an oil change and there was no wait. Additionally the mice had a nest going in the air filter which was quickly addressed as well. Fast friendly service and I would highly recommend

Ive had wonderful service here in the past, always quick and nice. But whoevers been behind the counter the past few times is not at all like anyone ive delt with before. Stood in there for over 10 minutes before even so much as a hello, he was totally out of it for the most part and hardly able to deal with all of 2 customers. Then when he did acknowledge i was there his tone and choice of words where very offsetting and bordeline rude, then after I asked if they had time for one last oil change he got even more rude and treated me like an idiot then didnt even give me other times to come in. If it wherent for that guy today I might have actually come back, but he was so offsetting and bordeline rude I wouldn't ever even think about coming back

Called and confirmed, a 1st come and 1st serve stay in your vehicle service. Arrived at 10 after 11AM. They close at noon for lunch. 2 in bays, one waiting, and myself. That's 4 cars in 50 minutes. Very doable. I get told they have 6 cars and will not help me.Very unfortunate! Bad customer service.
