Established local automotive machine shop with old school work ethic , cleanliness, and organization. Jay who runs the front office is a Colorado native with excellent interaction skills. The customer service acumen was both focused and pleasant. As a new automotive shop owner in Mead, Colorado I have been looking for a good machine shop that doesn't bait and switch . so far these fellas are footing the bill. I had them do a set of 1985 ford 2.8 liter heads. The machining was absolutely perfect and really showed pride in workmanship. There is a reason why they are an extremely busy shop. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to work with a master- machinist that employs multi-generational knowledge, corporate memory, and craftsmanship. I look forward to doing business these guys in the future.

Jay in the office is always friendly and helpful and Jeff in the machine shop is incredible. These guys hooked me up and got my rotating assembly and block squared away in a week. Can t say enough good things about these guys. Thank you!!!! Great work, great price and great service!

I ve had Jeff & Jay machine two engines, multiple cylinder heads and other work. Their turnaround time is quick, the prices are amazing for what they do and they re answered some questions along the way. They built the engine for my race car back in 07 . I sold the car in 2014. The engine is still racing today! 2023! That is amazing. It was close to 600 hp so not a run of the mill engine.

I used them to bore and fit new pistons in my 2.9 Ranger block also for cleaning all the misc parts involved. They helped me source parts also. Great work engine runs awesome with excellent oil pressure. We also started using them at the Dealership i work at. 10/10

Go anywhere else. They'll give you back a questionable block and hope you don't notice. Still charge you for a block that should have been thrown away.

The team at this machine shop rock! I've been going to them for about 15 years and have never once been disappointed in the service! Just had some cylinder heads in for service and was blown away by how quickly them got them turned around! Price was great as always too. Jeff is a legend, the man knows his stuff. Keep doing the great work team!

We first called this company s main competitor to resurface my cylinder head, they pushed me out a week, I contacted this company next and not only did they take me in today, but called a few hours later saying it was ready THANK YOU! These guys are absolutely awesome. I took some rods and pistons in that needed press fit pins installed and they estimated just a day or two because they like to get the smaller side projects out sooner. They called me back not 2 hours later saying they were done. The rods and pistons look great and helped out a lot! Will be coming back to their shop anytime I need stuff done!Service: Motor building

These guys were awesome! Had my block sleeved, decked and honed. They were honest and transparent from the start, got the work done quickly, and even told me to call with questions I have when putting it back together. They were overall friendly, honest, and fair I'll definitely be going back.

These guys are great! I was referred to US Automotive by another local performance shop in town. I went in looking for a second opinion on diagnosing a racing engine block failure. They were very attentive to my needs; I had to be very certain of fine measurements in determining the problem. They helped diagnose the issue with the design of the engine block as a courtesy. I asked many questions and they were patient and supported by need to I learn at my own pace. Trust is rare in this business and Tom and Jeff earned my trust. Thanks guys!! Highly recommended.

Great local Mom & Pop operation. I've used them multiple times, and they do really good work. Reliable, fast, precise, and very fairly priced. The machinist himself will come over to talk to you and answer questions. I won't go anywhere else.

Jeff and Chad treated me with utmost respect and integrity. I had a home built engine that I needed broke in and dyno/tuned. I was honest with my concerns and they addressed all of them. Motor ran like a dream and put up numbers better than I expected. I will definitely be back for the next build from machine work to the build. The staff up front were also friendly, honest and very helpful! Thanks guys!!

I have had a lot of cars repaired in my life and dealt with many automotive repair shops and I can say that the crew at U.S Automotive and Machine are by far the absolute best Repair Shop I have ever dealt with. I have 2 vehicles that have been worked on there and I will always bring my Vehicle Repairs to Tom & Jeff. They have treated me like family and are up front with me about all my repairs. I even have found myself sitting there for hours and talking with the crew because of how they do business, they are the absolute best. If you find yourself if need of repairs or even complete rebuilds I would not hesitate to to take my vehicle to them whether it be your daily driver or hot rod, the crew at U.S Automotive and Machine does it all. Take your car to the Right Place the first time.

I love these guys, I've taken my car in for different things, and no matter what it is they always have the best price, awasome quick service, and I really like that they talk you through what's going on, and they show you. When my 1994 Sierra GMC first had a major problem, i took it to these guys after scheduling an appointment and they had it up and running. A few weeks later i had a problem unrelated to my first problem and they had it done within a few hours or less. I think these people are great and i fully trust them with my vehicle. If i ever have a problem with my truck i know i can call this place and get my truck in fast. superb service, friendly, and they know what they are doing.

From one small business owner to another Tom and I have both done business with each other. He has always had jobs completed on time when I've asked and never an issue. Not many machine shops left these days along with the people and knowledge to stand behind them. I recommend Tom and Jeff for any type of machine work needed!

Horrible place to go. I got my viper engine rebuilt by these guys only to last couple of weeks and making it worse by breaking my block. They used stock rods with forged pistons. I did my research and asked viper professional and said right away that was a horrible idea. They took almost 10,000 dollars away from me and didn t help me. This happened last year. I was only 19 years old with rent and bills to pay. I m a young father and it s not easy to keep paying for something they did wrong. I was going to sue them but don t have the money and time to waste.

I had my motor balanced and my block cleaned and cam bearings put in which i brought i showed up to get my block and that charge me $20 for cam bearings and in paid 30 for the ones that i bought!!!!! so they took it off my bill for $20 so i still had to pay the $10 for the bearings i bought they also cut my piston rings they said anyways so when i got the block all the Rings were in each cylinder gaped at 28 top and bottom rings that's what i asked for anyway. I pulled all the rings out in marked them so I knew what cylinders they came out of i was getting ready to to put the Rings on the pistons and just thought why not just check the Rings to make sure in i had anywhere for .15 to a max of .20 and i checked at the top in the middle so it took me a extra 3 hours for me to cut the Rings myself then i called them and told them that he didn't cut the Rings right in all i wanted was my 80 dollars back in he told me he would call me back and came up with the excuse the way he set the Rings was good for 30 pounds of boost he called the manufacture of the Rings and ask them lol wouldn't it have just been easier to say hey i am sorry i just set them up for a no turbo motor over 80 dollars you have lost all of my business for life.

Great group of folks with a TON of experience.Got a no prep "street car" you need to make tons of power? This is the place to go!Got a "endurance" drag car for the likes of Rocky Mountain Race Week or Drag Week? This is the place to go.Want to make INSANE amounts of power that can live on the street? This is the place to go.Friendly, very knowledgable, and really went out of their way to help me out with my car. I will be bringing all of my engines to here in the future.
