Best bike shop I ve been to in my life. I ve had a love for bikes for over forty years. I have personally made many different bikes from spare parts. I was a part of Wish for Wheels a non profit that donates bikes to grade schools. I didn t have a car for a year that I lived in Denver and I just biked the whole time. So - when I tell you that this place is a GREAT bike shop, you should know it comes from an expert reviewer.I took a video so you can see a walk thru of the place. What you won t see on the pictures and video is the amazing staff. Most recently I was greeted by Zach. Very friendly and easy to get along with. I truly appreciate his style bc he made me feel like I ve known him for years. Dakota, the mechanic, is a great guy. He certainly knows a lot about any kind of bike. We have an uncommon type of e-bikes and he s still able to make it run 100%. Really easy to talk with as he seems to try and understand the issues you come in with. Really great attitude and vibe of this place. I m not sure if I ve met Dan (the owner) or Zach the tech guru, but they all seem like such a great team.I would recommend this place to anyone that wants anything great with bikes, skis, snowboards, and a whole bunch of other stuff.Caleb at tech support

Awesome shop in downtown Loveland. I ve visited for bike repairs/tunes many times with several bikes (mountain, road) and always had great service. They sell some new high quality gear and the consignment stuff is always changing. Mostly I appreciate the staff being friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to chat through questions.

Incredible selection of new and used outdoor gear! They have everything human-powered sport-related including, bikes, e-bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, hiking, climbing, camping, fishing, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, XC skiing, telemark skiing, backcountry skiing, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, and snowboarding equipment.Rental services include: paddle boards, e-bikes, hybrid bikes, snowshoes, and ski shoes.Full service bike shop, with parts and accessories, as well as wax and tuning for skis and snowboards.Staff is super helpful and knowledgeable on getting you the right gear for your outdoor adventures!Furthermore, the shop hosts group rides every Thursday from the shop, with a faster group starting at 5:30, and more casual option starting at 6:00!Best gear shop in Northern Colorado! Locally owned and operated!

Recently I went to The Extra Mile to get information about E-bikes and specifically about a particular brand they carry. My husband and I spoke with owner Dan W at length about pros cons, batteries, torque, motors, brakes- everything top to bottom and front to back. He was very thorough and knows his product well! While the bike I wanted did not work for me, Dan gave us other options and even suggested other e-bike brands that might work! I was so impressed with his knowledge, customer care, friendly personality and professionalism. I have not given up hope of finding a bike that works for my short stature and look forward to having Dan and his awesome staff service it in the future if a purchase from them doesn t work out! I highly recommend The Extra Mile!

Been having some maintenance needs and trouble with brakes on my mountain bike and was gearing up or a trip. I needed some help getting my bike back in shape. Matthew did a fantastic job and got her riding like brand new. The price for their services was more than reasonable. I'll be bringing my bike back regularly to get it checked out and serviced!

I went in for a xc ski bundle earlier this week and the next morning I was up in the mountains using the gear with ease. Zach was really kind and helpful with getting me set up with proper equipment and lending knowledge. Much appreciated (-: This shop is a little gem and I ll definitely be using it again for other needs.

Great place to take bikes for repairs or tune-ups! The bike mechanic Mathew was very helpful and knowledgeable, quickly diagnosed my bikes issue, and walked me through the repair process as he worked. Will be returning for some consignment gear!

Waiting at the counter for ten minutes while owner sells some bikes wasn't an issue. Having an employee called from the back to help a vagrant with a bike problem the second he walked in was a huge issue. The owner couldn't be bothered to get me assistance or even acknowledge I was there. Well I'm not there anymore. Recycled Cycles has better pricing anyway. Thanks owner, your rudeness saved me money!

Went in for bmx stuff and its marked woo hoo!!Sometimes when looking at bikes you may have to wait for the bike guy as the employees here specialize in different equipment.Its worth the wait because they will set you up with the right bike for your needs.The service department is staffed by guys who really know their stuff, and are very competent in fixing your bike issues!!Great place to shop for new and used sporting goods!!

This was my first visit and I am quite pleased. They had just the right helmet and lock that I needed and it was perfectly in my budget. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this place if you are in need of bikes or accessories at the very least!

Just want to drop in and let people know how this shop rocks. Good assessment of quality gear and great prices. Knowledgeable folks on ski and bike equipment. I've been outfitting my kids as they've grown with great ski gear from this local shop, and have seen great quality used bikes. Have had great and quick service on bikes as well. Better than what I've seen in FoCo and Boulder, lucky to have them in Loveland!

I love this shop! They have a great selection, reasonable prices and friendly service. I enjoy doing my own bike maintenance and repairs but I've taken my bike in several times for things like wheel truing and troubleshooting and the service is always great and the turnaround is fast. When I am tackling something myself the staff here is always supportive. There is no condescending tone or talking down to me like I've experienced at other shops. It's really empowering for me to be able to fix my bike and I really appreciate the friendly helpful staff that truly goes the extra mile.I recently had a set of bearings in my headset break and needed to replace them. I walked down to the shop and they helped me match the good set of bearings with a replacement set. Not only did they have them in stock, but they had a used set in good condition that they sold me for a couple of dollars. I was able to get my bike back in service the same day when I had been anticipating a wait for parts to come in, etc. which absolutely made my day (not to mention the upcoming weekend!). It wasn't a big transaction for the store but they were still super friendly and helpful with advice. It is the kind of experience that makes me a loyal customer. This is hands-down the best bike shop in Loveland and they also have a great selection of new and used gear at very reasonable prices.

A fantastic experience! Dan was easy going and made us feel more like old friends rather than customers. As noobies to biking, we needed a bit more time and information than more seasoned customers and Dan delivered. He took the time to show us several bikes and got my wife squared away on the bike she felt most comfortable on. He even helped us with the bike rack. After the sale, Chris gave the bike a tune and looked for anything that might have been missed. Chris also gave us some insight as to how the bike would wear and common trouble spots to be aware of. He also invited us back if anything were to go wrong on the bike giving us added assurance and added value. It was great to see a business stand behind its product. We highly recommend and we'll be back for more gear. On a side note, I believe the guys are heading down to the Liberty 5k for the 4th of July to set up a booth in support of a great cause.

Had an entry-level GT brand step-through MTN/CITY bike on which I installed riser handlebars.On a one day turnaround, the obviously talented tech here installed and adjusted 4 new, longer cables.They did and do still work flawlessly. Not one glimmer of a freaking flaw. I'm definitely a smooth operator now.Parts and Labor sixty on the nose.I spent that much money on Dine-in Chinese Cuisine for two , yesterday. A fond memory, that... but my slippy-sure cables continue to be a delight daily.Highly recommended.Maramao. Meow

Chris went above and beyond in helping us find new bikes. We were after a specific type of Marin bike and he helped us figure out which one it was and got them ordered. Because we are traveling, it's hard to order things but he made it top priority to have them in and ready as quickly as possible. He helped us pick out all our accessories and did whatever it took to ensure we were happy. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable and was happy to answer all of our questions. I highly recommend coming here. These guys definitely go the extra mile!

Great priced gear and they do fantastic work on your bikes at a reasonable price. Super friendly staff who knows what they are talking about and a low pressure environment. Also there's always good music playing... bonus!

This place is absolutely marvelous very similar to the Gearage outdoor recreation and bicycle shop in Fort Collins . The folks who here are very polite friendly and helpful and knowledgeable as well . They have a great secktion of really nice bikes and new and used outdoor recreation equipment as well . And Matt the bike tech is the person's who helped me out in a pinch on a long distance bike tour during the heatwave saved me time and trouble and great prices on the products they have new and used . Thanks so much for all the assistance I was there last year this year and probably stop back next year . This shop comes highly recommended.

The Extra Mile has always been super helpful. They have fixed our bikes up over the years. Today Matthew went above and beyond helping our 13 year old get completely set up to ride his new mountain bike.

I recently bought a new bike from The Extra Mile. When I got home, I noticed that the frame was scratched in a few different places. I reached out to the owner about it, and he apologized for the issue and quickly offered me a replacement or partial refund. I opted to go with the replacement, and the new bike was ready for me to pick up the next day. I am really impressed with the customer service of this shop and will definitely be back!

Stopped in to browse and found a well curated collection of outdoor gear, clothing, and bikes...lots of bikes! Was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who immediately pointed me in the direction of what I was looking for. Dan was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Picked up a gently used puffy jacket and a portable french press for a fair price. Great experience, will be visiting again!

Awesome local spot for new and used gear at a solid price. The owner is very knowledgeable and helped us with a new helmet for my wife and the bike mechanic shared his wisdom on what bike maintenance products he prefers as well. Great selection, welcoming/cozy atmosphere, what a local shop should be. My only criticism is that I would like the shop to stay open past 6pm because it s difficult to shop on the weekdays (which is a good problem to have if people want to frequent more often)!

Up sold me a $25 tube that didn't fit my bike. Exchanged it for a $5 tube and they literally said to me they had to make money so they wouldn't refund the rest of my money. Unbelievably rude and disrespect person in glasses working there. Avoid this place. Also, avoid any place that lies. I left because they are thieves and told them so and now they are mad. Don't do business there

I went in to ask about modding a specific bike and everyone (especially Chris) went above and beyond. As we were talking, I noticed they had a great blend of gear. They also have lightly used items for sale as well and I found AMAZING deals (30 bucks for Patagonia pants). Great people, great service, great value. Can t think of one bad thing. The Extra Mile is a perfect name for this shop.

Great deals, some new some used, they will do consignment if you need to sell something niche. Name an X-games sport, they'll have the equipment for it.Bike repair shop to boot!Don't forget to rent a SUP or other equipment either.

We bought a kids bike for my son that did not come with instructions and were told to take to a bike shop for assembly. We brought it in and they were extremely kind and put it together for us that same day for what I considered to be a very fair price. Very competent and good vibe. Would highly recommend.

super awesome staff, extremely helpful and friendly. got my downhill MTB bike into great shape (bled brakes, fixed dropper post, tuned and fixed brake/shift cables) for $135. plus free check ups. glad I stumbled upon this gem.bummed Google doesn't show these guys when you search for a bicycle shop though
