I began with an entry level Audi and a visit to SCR Performance. I was so nervous to tune my vehicle, a total noob to the performance auto world. Mark treated me with respect and gave me the same attention as the Turbo S guys. Scott has saved me big $money$ over the years with part recommendations. He also taught me a lot about my vehicles. Bottom line is that they are honest. SCR Performance is the only shop I will use. They are true precision Performance shop that does any type of work you can ask for. Excellent service at a good price. All of the staff is friendly and knowledgable. The shop and office is very clean and they treated my vehicle carefully which is difficult to find these days. I highly recommend.

Communication is okay usually. Depends on the person you get I guess. I have had several messages completely ignored before for weeks at a time which makes me question how things are ran. If it takes you weeks to look at a message and then not even reply with anything that is not a place I want to do business with.Prices are extremely high here. Labor is already high compared to most other race shops but beyond that the part prices are crazy. I understand they need to make money on parts but it is the difference of buying it at home for $32 vs buying it there for $200, things like that. I get money is made on parts but a 6x mark up is pretty aggressive. I'm not sure the mark up is always that high here but that was my experience with the parts I needed.I was willing to pay extra before because it seemed like they were doing good work, and I think they did do good work to be clear, but the communication for me is the major issue. If you cannot communicate effectively then everything else is moot for me.Edit: I didn't mention this before but since the reply is asking why "good work" gets 2 stars, you broke things on my car during some of this work. Simple stuff. My side mirrors were electric folding and when I drove my car away they were floppy because someone there literally snapped them out back into place and didn't say anything to me about the issue when picking the car up. Even this was not enough for me to stop coming here, I figured everyone is an idiot sometimes with things and mistakes happen. I just am not willing to keep going somewhere where communication is gone.Also notice in their reply they think the work was the issue when I was very clear about communication being the issue. That shows the levels of clear communication right there in my opinion.

Mark and his team at SCR are my go-to shop for parts, service, and advice. They have been very knowledgeable for for both my autocross Miata, as well as my two VWs, providing excellent work and great suggestions for performance parts, tire choice, and alignments. They will continue to be not only the place I go for my own cars, but the place that I recommend all of my friends and family to for their cars.

I can t say enough good things about these guys. I bought a 2021 WRX last year and the engine spun a bearing prematurely. The dealership wouldn t honor the warranty and I was struggling to find a shop that would replace the engine.The guys were able to get the car in, replace the engine and share their vast knowledge of performance engines with me. Undoubtedly the best automotive shop experience I ve ever had. I ll always recommend this shop to anyone who needs quality work done.

i strongly suggest you take you car elsewhere because Scott is very rude & unprofessional.. he also takes offense to basic customer questions. he has absolutely no patience & likes to also lie on his customers. if i could give zero stars i would.

This shop came highly recommended by a neighbor to do performance and service work on my M2 Competition. After some suspension updates, I needed an alignment done ASAP. I gave them a call first thing Monday morning and to my surprise, they were able to get me in the same day.They did an excellent job getting my alignment into spec and the owner even offered to give me a tour of the shop and their current project/race cars. After seeing what they've got going on, it's safe to say that these guys know exactly what they are doing. I'm happy I made the trek up there and I'm looking forward to working with them again in the future.Service: Wheel alignment

I've called many shops to try and fix my aftermarket Z and to no avail. Found SCR and in the first 2 minutes of calling they were no strangers to my issues and weren't scared to fix her, like other shops.Definitely glad to find them, and I'll 110% go to them for any other issues in the future.

You only really get to know a company when things go wrong...I have been going here for years to get tunes for my Audi. Several tunes were installed with little trouble, they were reasonably quick and professional.Now my latest tune did not go smoothly. Ok the drive home it misfired so bad I thought the engine we going to fall out our the car.I called them and was informed that these tunes had been out for a while now and it was likely a problem with my car, and they would gladly diagnose it for $156/hrAfter checking everything on the engine including purchasing special scan tools I we able to conclude it was the tune.Got them to agree to remove the tune and put it back to how it was before. They then told me there was an update to the tune available that should fix my problems (shocker)Went to get that tune installed and they were unable to flash it due to technical issues. Go home and they will call once they figure it out.No phone call ever comes1 week later I call them, they have figured out the issue, bring the car in tomorrow and they will flash the updated tune. I do. It is better but still not great. They offer to refund I accept...BUT they "can't" refund labor and in fact have to charge me 1 hour labor to plug their laptop in and flash in back to the way it was when I first rolled in.4 missed days of work and several hundred dollars later I'm back to where I started.This is how they treat a repeat customer who has been going there for years.You only really get to know a company when things go wrong.

We just moved to the area and our BMW suddenly acted up. Towed our car to SCR performance and couldn t be happier about their work and professionalism. They diagnosed and fixed our problem efficiently. Highly recommend them for your car needs.

I hit a blown tire on the road and I was an hour from home, I pulled over and noticed the intercooler was hanging by two charge pipes. I called the nearest performance shop to me and they were willing to get my car in as soon as possible, given that I didn t have the proper equipment to get it fixed on the highway. They fixed the issue and replaced the hardware within an hours time and charged me a fair price. They were super nice and able to keep small talk and the lobby was really clean and nice to be in. Thanks to Scott for getting me in on 15 minute notice and the guys that worked on my car. I d definitely go back for any other needs:)Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Have not had work done yet, but called to check and see what they could do and price. Received information and was invited to come up. I did and found everybody friendly and helpful. I was even given a tour of the shop. Unfriendly is surly not how I would characterize this place. FYI: For those people that gave low ratings, check other reviews they have made. You start to see a trend. Will update after the do work for me.UPDATE: had these people work on my cars for the past few years. No complaints what so ever. Good people and dogs. they know how to make a fast car faster. I highly recommend them.

Excellent service at a fair price. Great to have a shop that can be trusted and has good relationships and standing with many local, high end car dealerships. As someone else had mentioned they treat your car as if it were their own, and they love their own. Great lines of communications to help you understand the issues before preforming necessary work as well as after the work begins. They fairly and justly recommend any additional work that they feel would benefit the customer in the long run. I trust SCR, that if they feel a part should be replaced while doing a service that could save the customer $$$ in the future, that it is for your benefit and not theirs. Great local shuttle service while your car is at their facility.

I've had my 325i and M3 serviced here for several years now with anything I can't do myself and I have been extremely pleased. They are very professional and do high quality work. I've never had any issues with work they have performed. They are very knowledgeable about German cars so if you own one, this is the place to take it if you care about your vehicle.

I have been bringing Audis, Volkswagens and BMWs to SCR for over a decade. These guys do high quality work, are super friendly and will even help you prioritize work so you can stay within your budget. Mark the owner is the real deal and Scott the service writer will help you do whatever you need to do on your car. They are genuine car guys who love what they do, and I really can't recommend them enough to anyone who wants to service or modify a German car.

I'm relatively new to Colorado and was looking for a good performance/race car shop I could trust. SCR and the people that work there made me feel right at home, even when I questioned them on nearly everything up front (I've been burned by other shops in the past). Their staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about cars.They've helped me with basic maintenance stuff, to helping me fully prep my race car. They're happy to do it all, no matter what the scope of the project and at a reasonable price.I sent my girlfriend there for a one-time fix; broken window regulator on her Audi and they were just as friendly to her as they were for a much more "invested" customer like me. (They did not know she was my gf, and we all know how some car places can be with the average woman). Plus, they didn't rip her off like certain dealerships quoted, who we won't name.Its nice to feel comfortable being able to talk to anyone there about the work being done on my car or just shooting the proverbial crap about cars in general.Highly Recommended. I stopped by SCR Performance to get my APR tune switched on my 2016 GTI. I was traveling through and set up a last minute appointment no problem. Mark and Peter were very helpful and m even gave me a tour of their shop and cars while Peter tuned mine. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about my car and the tune, so I felt very comfortable. I would highly recommend them!

Look, I don't think you'll find a place that cares as much as these guys about the quality of service they deliver. I'm currently a poor college student that stumbled into a deal on a nice, fun daily driver. SCR's Pete knew I didn't have much to spend, but still he was gracious, accommodating, and prompt with the help and service.These guys not only know how to build cars, they know how to build customer appreciation, satisfaction, and confidence that your vehicle is in the right hands. I've done my due diligence as a customer and shopped around northern Colorado, and I struggle to find a reason why you wouldn't pick SCR as your performance home-base. Again, the level they work on is far above my inexpensive toy; they could have turned their noses up at me knowing that in the short term, I have very little purchasing power. Instead of making me feel small, they did everything for me they could for a fair price, including future advice and a couple tips for if I'd like to do some things myself.If you're a customer for whom character and trustworthiness is (almost) as important as the work itself, this is the place for you. When I graduate and find gainful employment in my field, I'll be using SCR for as much as I can, because they earned it with their excellent treatment of someone without the ability to be a large customer.At the time of writing, my car has been operating on an SCR tune for ~1 year, with zero problems and ~10k miles of pure joy.

I went to them after I installed coilovers and new tie rods on my car for an alignment. They claimed they did my rear toe and front camber, but couldn't do my front toe because my tie rods were loose, and wanted to charge $250 to tighten them. I refused to pay that, took the car home, checked the tie rods and verified they were both tight. I ended up going to another place to "Finish the alignment" and found out they never touched my front camber, and couldn't adjust my rear toe due to no adjustments on my solid rear beam. The initial rack results from the actual alignment showed that SCR indeed did NOT adjust anything at all. I was charged $115 for labor for them to do absolutely nothing.

This is the only place I will take my Audi. I trust this company and they make their customers feel important. I had an absolutely horrible experience trying to get exhaust through two other companies and these guys took the stress away and made things right. As a car guy walking into this place I know I am in good hands. Their staff is legit and the owner is awesome as well. The cars they have there are exactly what you want to see in a store like this.Thanks SCR!!!!

SCR is the only shop we will bring our cars to in Northern Colorado. Mark, Peter and everyone else there have helped us with everything from fuel pumps and control arms to oil changes and installing mudflaps. Never did I get that feeling that we were being pushed into buying something unnecessary or paying too much, the total opposite in fact. They will go above and beyond what you would ever expect from a performance auto shop. If you need are looking for the best shop Northern Colorado has to offer, SCR is it hands down.

I have had incredible work done here, maintenance and basic modification work.I have been treated the same every time regardless of if I was having my 30,000 mile checkpoint maintenance or having my coilovers adjusted and wheels/tires aligned.I trust Mark and his staff with my vehicles and I think they are worth the drive from Boulder every time.**** UPDATE ****Just had Mark and Peter perform a 30,000 mile checkpoint on my 2014 STi. I've now brought two vehicles to them for the same check up and service and performance was equally as fantastic both times.

SCR has worked on my Lotus Elise and on 3 Porsche 911's and has done excellent work. They have been fast, professional, and straightforward to deal with. They have been easy to work with and communicate well. I'd highly recommend SCR to any savvy owner looking for great service for the street and track enthusiast.

Very poor customer service, unless you regularly spend thousands at the shop. Long story short, there was a $40 discrepancy in my bill, and I brought it up. The owner got involved and acknowledged the mistake that his employee made. I asked for a refund for the $40, and not only did the owner refuse to refund it, but he also ridiculed me for worrying about such a small amount of money in his opinion, and also felt ridiculed for bringing a street car to his race car shop.SCR will also not let you talk to their techs, like every other shop I've been to will. You will be forced to wait in the waiting room looking at printed out race results with the owner's results highlighted.Do yourself a favor and just avoid SCR Performance.

I own a '17 Subaru STI that is my daily driver. However I also like performance driving it and had SCR do my first alignment on it about a year ago (Subies come with so-so alignments from the factory). Well I just changed out some suspension components (myself) to better performing types thus requiring another alignment. SCR could have scoffed at working on parts that a customer had installed but they didn't. They worked with me to customize an alignment to the new setup and what I wanted out of the car. They also spent a ton of time getting the alignment exactly where we wanted it even putting it back on the rack to tweak one last thing. The result (after last nights test drive) is that the car now performs as I want and has very neutral handling (tough in an AWD car) and great turn in. SCR is definitely a two thumbs up place in my book.

I have had my Audi Allroad and my Jetta Sportwagen here and have had nothing, but a positive experience. My Allroad has over 180K and the techs still treated it as if she was brand new. Being a woman and walking into a performance car shop can be intimidating, but the staff are wonderful. The price was spot on from the estimate to check out and they were extremely communicative about the upcoming maintenance for both vehicles. I left feeling well informed and never felt pressured about anything.Thanks again guys!

Whenever I need something done to my Subaru STI, I take it to SCR knowing that my car is in good, knowledgeable hands. I know many of the folks working there personally, and take comfort in the fact that getting my car set up correctly is their number 1 priority. I'd recommend them to any enthusiast who is particular about who works on their car, as you can be assured you and your car are in good hands.

Mark, Scott, and the whole SCR Team is the very best! Professional, personable, pleasant to do business with. Fully transparent with pricing and what to expect. Quoted me an hour and had me in and out in 45 minutes. They know their stuff and know their product and take the time to get to know their clients.
