This storage place went through three ownership changes in the time we were renting the unit, which was maybe over the course of 4 years.We rented a climate controlled unit. It was clean, the elevators were always functional. The unit itself was great and the facility was in good shape.My issue came with all the cost increases. We went from paying less than $100 a month, to the last cost increase up to $223. At that point, we decided to find something cheaper.I was told that this isn't uncommon, the practice of jacking up the rental fees. But it's like the death of a thousand paper cuts - it's annoying and time-consuming to move your stuff, so you put up with the cost increases to a point. I think they capitalize on our tendency to avoid change. It's crummy.

I want to say how great it was to be able to pick up the phone and ask questions to a real person! The customer service was outstanding both at the facility where I am storing things but also, I had questions on the customer website portal, and the customer service representative gave great service too! Keep hiring outstanding individuals, it does increase your brand.

Read your contract very carefully! after a they got bought by a new company they raised my rates without notice, even though the contract says they have to. They would not adjust to the original rate. Now that I am leaving and i planned to leave before the month was over there is nothing in the contract that says they have to refund you for any unused rent. I will never rent from this company again.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Setup was easy, the facility was always accessible and spotless clean. Communication was clear and representatives were always available for questions. One of the better experiences I have had with any business in a long time. 5 stars all around!

I just rented a locker recently and the experience so far has been very good. I was pleasantly surprised that the lock was included. The staff is nice and courteous. The locker was clean the perfect size. So far so good.

Do not rent a storage unit from this place. They will increase your bill without any warning. My bill almost doubled in the span of about 6 months. I ll never rent a unit from this place ever again and will tell everyone I can to avoid this place like the plague. Note: the office staff were nice and helpful. But as a company, this place is trash.

Arrilla fannin was amazing her customer service was above and beyond. My family and I have been looking for a place to store our things in the next coming months and I will definitely be back. The professionalism she showed was more than I've seen anywhere else in a long time and I have been to multiple places five stars all the way.

DO NOT rent from this place! Poor communication and will not work with you. When I signed up, I signed up for easy pay, automatic payment each month since I am out of town for work. The gentlemen that signed me up took my credit card down to save it on file for easy pay, but he didn t. Just saved it on file. When you miss a payment, they leave a generic voicemail about your account, but nothing about a missed payment. No email, text, or notification about a missed payment. I work in the mountains with very minimal service on my cell and I happen to call one day and I find out that my storage unit full of my belongings is up for auction in March. I tried talking to a manager but not able to reach a compromise. I traveled 7 hours to the location to pay my bill. And to find out starting in March they are jacking up the price on my 5x10 unit from $64 to $117, which is outrageous. The only person here that helped and that has customer service skills is Arela Fannin. She listened and was understanding, but could only do so much. Thank you Arela! Her manager, Alex, wouldn t budge on any compromise. I even offered to pay 2-3 months in advance to cancel the late charges and the auction charges, but her manager, Alex, wouldn t allow it. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Matt (I believe that s his name, the person who has helped me the whole time) is amazing. Incredible customer service, goes above and beyond, kind, helpful, and flexible when issues come up. Eased a ton of stress. Very grateful. Also - the storage spaces are pristine and well secured.

My experience with Life Storage, in a few sentences, which was..1. No Customer Service at the higher levels, front desk employees were great. 2. Had auto pay and my credit card was compromised, so stopped the payment to be withdrawn. Went in on the 5th day of my due date to make a payment in the office, which Life Storage says there is a five day grace period, but really should say a four day one because they charged me a late fee! I asked for a one time courtesy refund, since my card was compromised...and they would NOT give me one!3. Corporate is only worried about making money and cutting costs. Was supposed to be paying for climate controlled units...was so hot in the summer and cold in the winter, since Life Storage took it over. I have been in many climate controlled storage units and the ONLY control happening at Life Storage was $$ signs in corporates eyes at the expense of the customer!4. Had two units, one for a few years, the other a few months, but Life Storage had increased the price my last month by almost $100 on the newer unit and $80 on the other! Bad enough that I had started with Extra Space at $77 and that same unit was going to cost me almost $240 within a few years time with Life Storage!4. The inside and outside of storage buildings were absolutely filthy and trash laying all around, which was the same for months on end, so it was a matter of corporate not caring to spend the money to clean! Fingerprints were ALL over the glass doors and elevator walls. Was totally disgusting!To conclude my experience, I am sorry I stayed with Life Storage as long as I did, would NOT recommend to anyone, nor would I EVER return!

I rented a storage unit here for about nine months, where I stored nothing but a vintage car. I m giving it a poor rating for three reasons. 1) About four months in, I visited the unit and found evidence of rodents. I let the office know, heard no response until I called a week later and was told it was taken care of. When I moved out yesterday, there were three mouse traps with dead mice still in them. 2) They raised the rate by more than 30%. I understand inflation, but that s unreasonable. 3) If you move in mid billing cycle, they charge you a pro-rated amount for a partial month. But when you move out mid cycle, they do not return a pro-rated amount, you still pay for a full month. I moved out two days into a billing cycle and still had to pay for a full month. This is not only unfair, it also means they could move someone new into the vacated unit the next day and receive double rent for the rest of that month. I definitely wouldn t rent from them again.

I have rented with this facility before it was bought out by life storage or whoever owns it and it's not a good place to rent at all. the people who work the office have been wonderful and try to be helpful but over all really can't. The experience has been hell and now I remember why I stopped renting from them years ago! For the first month i couldn't even get access to the facility because of issues with the gate and then was told I Would be accommodated and wasn't and then with my financial problems I tried to cancel the sales people talked me out knowing I couldnt afford the place like I had told them previously and now I'm having the few things, important things I put in there auctioned off(mind you the stuff in the unit isn't even worth anything except to anyone except me )and no one seems to Care they are just worried about taking your money and if I could, I wouldn't rent from this company life storage extra space every again, Please find another place or you will regret it if something like "life" happen or you lose your income.

Staff is always friendly and incredibly helpful. I ve had a space there for 5+years but due to the recent buyout I have to move. New owners more than doubled the cost of renting the space with no written notice.

Renters beware of low internet rates that sharply increase after a few months. This company intentionally does not disclose that starting rates are temporary internet specials that expire. Nowhere in the month to month rental agreement or on the website is this stated. After 4 months, my rent increased by $67/month. After calling my location, they reduced that by $16. I am still left with a 40% increase in rent after only 4 months into my lease!!

Online sign up was straight forward and easy to complete. Office personnel were polite, friendly and thorough showing me how to use my entrance code and the location of my storage unit.

Thank you Life Storage team! From day one you were nothing but courteous, professional and prompt with any changes I needed to make . I outgrew my first space and you seamlessly got me into a larger place quickly . I always felt safe coming and going by myself which was a bonus . I highly recommend you as a first class business !

Frankie & Sara were helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Showed me the two sizes I was considering and setting up the rental agreement and auto pay was a breeze! Clean facility and looks to be well maintained. Overall a great experience.

While the manager was gone on medical leave, Gabriel did an excellent job accommodating my situation and helping me with the moveout process. Only complaint is that they should have a buy-back program for the lock since it cant be practically used in any other situation.
