I have been taking my vehicle's to Jesse at 4x4 expert for a long time. This place is the best in northern colorado second to none. Jesse and the staff have always done A+ work if you want your vehicle fixed right the first time and top notch mechanics this is your shop. And the most important thing is that they truly care and take pride in there work?And you can't find that workmanship pride anymore !Don't waste your money the with the big name shops Take your vehicle here you won't be disappointed and it will be done right. Great job Gentlemen

Joe and his team are VERY knowledgeable professionals. I usually work on my own cars, but needed help this time (visitors coming from out of town for a week in winter!). I knew I had a leaky radiator, found a replacement available at a local big parts automotive retail store, and then asked Joe about an appointment to replace my radiator.Joe mentioned a price and I made an appointment with him for a week later based on his busy schedule. (My first time working with Joe and this shop. They have had over 20 yrs experience in a downtown Loveland location, now have taken over this location from Tony which is near my house). Bottom line, my experience with the schedule was mixed due to their work load and then later to a disabling snow storm, but the work was done well and the price (based on computer "Guide" hours to do the work and the need to use "warrantable" parts from their parts source) was paid.Along the way I asked for estimates to repair additional known problems with my 24 year old Infiniti i30 while they had it in the shop. Labor and parts for that work was added to the detailed printed estimate.The price estimate quoted in writing for all this work was also provided by a computer print out of the labor hours typically required (blue book?), at shop rate, description of the specific parts that would be used, and then the work was all done in one day on a new appointment date. I arranged for a ride to/from their shop with one of their very courteous mechanics. (The ride I had previously arranged had long since departed for home so I needed their help).The overall experience was professional, complete, and Big Jesse's work appears to be excellent. Since I did all my own work on my cars in the past, the price charged was of course a shock, but it was backed up by a very detailed printed description of what needed to be done after lots of deferred maintenance. I've never had time to visit other shops in my area for price comparisons but I was assured by Joe their price was indeed "competitive".I think reading Google reviews of several repair shops recently and talking to friends show that Joe and his Team are very good at what they do and while there are other shops that do indeed appear "competitive", none get perfect scores. A shop that has been in business for a long time knows what they are doing and their prices reflect a need to stay in business by hiring good people, consistently meeting the payroll, and paying their expenses. I paid my bill and am enjoying driving my car with confidence again. I suspect you can't ask more than that from a good shop like this one.

After searching for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic for years, I m so glad to have found this shop. They go above and beyond every time, they never try to tell me I need extra repairs, they are super affordable, knowledgeable, and kind! Highly recommend Larry and Joe! 10/10 service!

Excellent crew, excellent owners. Took time out of their busy day to find a very obscure hard-to-obtain specialty part for my 96 Ram2500 4x4 diesel. Their character is Honest Quality. Did not gouge me for the part nobody NOBODY has not online, not even the dealership saying it would be 2 week special order. A definite go-to reputable place.Part I needed was Mopar Transfer Case Thrust Washer 4446487, the front output shaft spline yoke seal.PS online says it's for 02-08 jeep, but it's the same one fits perfect for New Process 241DHD transfer case.

These guys care. We needed a new transmission. Big cost. They found us the right one, installed in less than 2 days, and helped troubleshoot and fix a bracket rattling. Easy going, busy guys.

I stopped by Expert 4x4 30 minutes before close in a frenzy in need of a tire replaced on my winter beater. I had bought a tire for it but didn't have time to put it on myself. First rate service at half the price!Traveling from Michigan to CO, my Ford 7.3 Diesel wouldn't start for me after sitting overnight and left me stranded in Des Moines and North Platte. Each location I was towed to a repair shop and they were able to get me going but couldn't diagnose the problem (charging double of Expert). Larry spent a good deal of time running diagnostics, pressure tests, etc, to narrow down the problem. Both Joe & Larry were very communicative and explained exactly what was going on. They will have my business anytime I'm in Colorado. Thanks guys!

After buying a set of tires at a national tire store, I experienced a rhythmic noise and vibration while driving at low or high speeds. After giving the tire dealer 2 chances to remedy the vibration I researched on Google for a 4x4 repair shop. My truck is lifted and since I'm new to the area I need a shop that I can trust.I drove over to Expert 4WD & Auto to check them out. They were busy and backed up about 2 weeks for any repairs, but they agreed to test drive it on the spot anyway. Right away the mechanic heard and felt the noise and suspected a wheel bearing. Made an appointment about 2 weeks out. The day arrived to drop it off and I received a call back less than two hours later. The rear tires were bad! Easily visible on the rack. Only cost me $40 which I thought was very reasonable!The takeaway is this Expert 4WD is honest, friendly, reasonably priced and they know 4x4's! I have found my repair shop for future repair needs or mods!

I had an accident and needed an estimate done for front end work. They diagnosed the repair for my insurance. It was approved and the work was done, and my truck feels new again! Great job guys! I will definitely use you for service on my truck!

First I want to say that everyone who works here is absolutely amazing!! I felt like everyone took care of me and wanted to help me to have a safe vehicle. My only issue was that I was never given a quote- work started before I was even made aware of the issues- as a single mom had I have known the cost I would have gotten my Dad involved to see if I was getting a good price or what I needed to do. I iust felt like I was given absolutely no choice in what needed to happen and then the work was done so how could I not pay for it. I will say they are working with me on paying the bill but I wish I would have been given more information in the beginning. I work in service and we never do work we didn't give an upfront quote on.Service: Auto maintenance

HIGHLY RECOMMEND the mechanics here really know what they are doing. I have an obnoxious lifted hummer that had to have the whole front suspension replaced, they work fast at fair upfront prices. If you have a 4x4 this is the place to go for any repairs even maintenance!

I have taken 3 different vehicles to Expert 4WD & Auto for about 3 years because of their positive reviews. I can't be more pleased with them. Joe, Larry, and their mechanics can't be anymore cordial, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. I just recently recommended them to my son for service. They will continue to be my go to place for anything mechanical.

Bought a used car from them a couple of months ago. Everything went great in negotiations - they were straight up about everything.Only issue was interior rear view needed to be attached since it was removed to replace windshield.Couldn t get it on. Lexus dealer couldn t do it.I ordered replacement parts and Joe and crew spent hours getting the mirror mounted.No charge.They are stand up guys - old school quality, honesty snd service.Highly recommend them.PSCar is running great!

As a girl, I m always a bit weary of taking my car in as I m sure many fathers have warned their daughters of being taken advantage of money wise by auto shops. But not only did Joe and Larry let me walk free with my car after they took a look at it, they also let me bring it in same day when I thought it needed repaired. Their kindness and promptness means so much and I will definitely make sure I go back to them in the future and lead my boyfriend in their direction too. Without mechanics we d all be screwed! Thanks a bunch guys!

We came here in December 2021 and they did a great job on my Ford. They put a Fuel pump and a seal in my car. My car is 22 years old and they found the parts which were hard to find. They bent over backwards to do a fine job on my car. They communicated with us every step of the way!

They always have been great to work with . I know it s frustrating when your vehicle does not work your daily life is greatly affected. I m always patient with your timeframe because I know they have many more customers ahead of me, but they ve always been very reasonable on time of completion. I try to do many repairs myself because of the cost of the repair, but I can t do them all. With the amount of knowledge and tools required to do their job I also don t know how they don t charge more. I brought my car (2013 Mazda 3) in after the dealer told me I needed about $2000 worth of work. I initially emailed for an estimate based on the repairs the dealer said I needed and their estimate came in much, much lower. I took it in for them to look at and give me a firm quote and it turns out I only needed one thing done out of all the things the dealer said I needed and it cost me less than $400. I will definitely be using them going forward for all my car service needs.

I would like to give HUGE shout out to Joe and the wonderful mechanics at Expert 4x4. I had recently been displaced by the fire and was forced to flee with just the clothes on our back. We left as the fire was bearing down on my neighborhood. It was very traumatic. Once in Loveland, I slid into a curb and did some damage to the front left wheel. Brought it to FIrestone as they were next to my hotel. They gave me a $2900 bill. Needless to say after losing a ton on money due to the fire, I was feeling overwhelmed. My parents recommended these guys as they have been wonderful to my elderly parents. Joe got my car fixed in less than 24 hours and did it at a fraction of the cost quoted to me by Firestone. He then went one step further and reduced my bill to his cost as he new we were suffering financially from the fire. Never had a bad experience. Everyone in my family has taken our vehicles (well over a dozen) for the past 10-15 years. I live in Denver now, but still take my vehicle to Expert 4WD. I've been treated with respect, but am always answered with honesty when asking the hard questions. Really cannot thank Joe and Larry enough for the years of service! I have no plans on changing mechanics in the future.

My front brakes were shot and I needed them fixed before the weekend. Joe got me in on short notice and his crew did an awesome job fixing the brakes and a front wheel bearing. The cost was reasonable and I always feel confident when these guys work on my vehicles. I recommend them highly !

I have taken all of my cars and trucks to them for 15 years. From my off road Jeep to our sedan these guys have never disappointed. There prices are fair, they always get my vehicles ready when promised. They have never tried to sale me anything i didn't need. I will continue to take may cars to them.

got it transmission rebuilt paid $1300 and i wasnt going to pay it but they said it will have a one year warranty. I got it rebuilt and they couldn t at the very least spray some brake cleaner on it. When i got the warranty turns out it s only for parts. They didnt rebuild it right transmision lasted two days.

Quoted me considerably less than other shops (30-40% less) for a clutch replacement. The turnaround was wasn't the quickest, but were willing work around my schedule and meet me on a day they were closed to get my car back before a holiday weekend. Would highly recommend; great experience working with this shop.

Expert 4x4 has been the go to place for car care for the family for 15 years or more. They always treat us with respect and are very fair in getting the work done at the best price they can offer. You will never regret letting them repair or simply maintain your vehicle.
