Had to deal with a flat tire on my son's car - Steve's place was very close, so I quickly drove there and within 15 minutes the tire was changed and I was ready to go.I told him I had some winter tires in my garage that were barely used, and he said to bring them by and he would take a look at them as payment for the flat tire.The next time I need tires, I'll be going here!

This is the shop I ve been looking for since moving to Longmont. Awesome work awesome prices. Same day service in most cases. Tires brakes alignments are just part of the services they offer. Honest and reliable showed me my old worn out parts. I WILL ONLY BE GOING TO DIAGONAL TIRE for all my services. Thanks guys!!

The place is what every mechanic or a person struggling to make it or even the average joe needs around, Steve is one hell of a character, if you ve never worked in a shop you wont survive Steve s personality. Dude is quick with his work, an definitely knows what he brings to the table. his rates are below what any competition has to offer, yet his work is beyond better. Don t miss out on a hidden gem because you judged a book by the cover. Oh an the phone is rarely answered you d have a better shot going in, the dog is nice if it don t like you maybe there s a reason.

After installing a suspension lift I called shops around town for an alignment and all refused. I decided to try Diagonal Tire and not only did they accept the job but they executed with perfection. Steve and his team take the time to do Jobs precisely and for the best prices in town. Needless to say, I will be returning in the future for more work if needed. Thanks again for the hard work.

You found it! Diagonal is THE place to get your car aligned. Steve will do it right the first time.Someone else wrote, his rates are below what any competition has to offer, yet his work is beyond better. Don t miss out on a hidden gem Exactly!Just a great experience. BONUS: the place is a blast from the past. Suddenly it s the good-old-days again.

I had a great experience here! I thought I needed an alignment because my car was pulling. I called a few places in town; one said they'd charge $160, the other $115 for alignment. Steve said, "Actually you may not even need an alignment. It may just be an issue with the cross-tread on your tires." I brought the car in, Steve and his team switched the front tires and boom! Problem fixed, the car drives without pulling. Saved me over $100 (also should note that his quote on alignment was way more affordable than the other places had I needed that). Steve and his team also caught a loose lug nut on the back tire and topped up the air on all tires. Will 100% be back next time I need something this shop handles. Thanks, Steve and co.!

Steve really came through for me when I desperately needed tires. I was raised by mechanics and this guy reminded me of home, being that I was 2000 miles away from"home". Thanks to him I am driving safely!

Steve is a great honest mechanic. Very hard to find these days. He has kind of a personality that might put some people off but he is a good guy and very talented and persistent. My old mechanic told me transfer case repair for my Yukon would be about $2000. Steve took the time to find the simple problem and fixed it and the repair has held for the last 2 years and it cost a small fraction of that original estimate. He also fixed my Trailblazer difficult to diagnose throttle issue and my truck still runs great! So don't let his personality quirks turn you off. This guy is a fantastic mechanic, will fix your car right and won't rip you off.

Steve was one of the only places I could find that would touch my BMW 3 series since its lowered with custom suspension.Not only did he give me a great deal on my alignment, but he set it up just how I wanted and rides PERFECT. THANK YOU STEVE, you're the man!

I waited too long to get my snow tires put on, and I tried calling everywhere in Boulder and Longmont with no success. Diagonal Tire saved the day for me!! Steve was able to fit me in at the end of the day, and he and his team got my tires balanced and switched out in no time (with very reasonable pricing too!) I really appreciate this great team of kind people!

Highly recommended. It's hard to find a hard-working, knowledgeable, and above all, honest shop with reasonable fees. Steve brings all this. It's hard to get a smile out of him but I don't go in there for that. I've made three visits to him in the last three months and he's come through each time.

Steve is the best. He may have a short fuse but he s honest and hard working. My mom and I both have been going there for a long time and he s not afraid to call it straight. He ll quote you the fairest price and give you quality service. Will stay a client as long as he s in business.

I highly recommend Steve. He diagnosed an issue that 4 other shops had missed that was making my truck a nightmare to drive. It took him less than a day to diagnose and then he took the time to show me the issue and what it would take to fix.The work was done quick and at a really affordable price. On top of that, the truck drives nice and smooth now.

I got my car s brake repaired for a very reasonable price. That problem was there for many years and had many expensive repairs. But Steve found the issue, provided me all technical details behind it and fixed it for a very reasonable price.

Steve is always helpful! He always makes sure ALL of my vehicles are safe, checks every tire even if I'm only there for one specific issue, and returns my calls right away. The best compliment I can give is that I send my children to him too. I know that their vehicles will be in good hands with him and his prices are always fair. Thanks Steve!

Incredible service! I went in needing some help - on a budget with a couple dangerous tires. Steve helped by replacing two tires with a couple used tires in great condition and did a 4-wheel alignment just to help me out, all for a great price. I will definitely be sending my friends here, and I will be ordering my new set of tires with him soon. Steve earns my highest recommendation!

Steve's always busy, and does a good job, but unfortunately the city of Longmont will soon destroy his important job helping the low income and middle class folks who depend on him , and this will be devastating to the public. Longmont has no realization of Steve's importance as a necessary business, and businesses like his should get no raise in taxes but a reprieve for the great help he is to the common man. Not sure where I will go after the city destroys his business in their conquest for more and more taxes levied across the board instead of by individual cases . We need steve more than Longmont needs to destroy his life. I ask the city to not levi the planned raise in taxes on his business, and instead give him a waiver to continue at a rate he can afford, not destroy him. They do not understand what he means to the common man who needs good work at reasonable + fair prices. You have no idea what you are doing to him not only financially, but emotionally through the planned taxes increase on his shop. Please do not do this. He is essential to the community, and barely gets buy as it is. A great shop if you are patient enough to wait to get in . Maybe a federal grant that does not need repayed, or something, have a heart Longmont!Newly added amendment to post for 2022:Steve does not really want to do mechanical work, so don't go there for that, but for tire and wheel related gravy jobs, and alignment stuff, that's ok. If you bare with his occasional short circuit, so just don't take it personal, deep down he's a good fellow, and does a good job. Nobodys perfect, but expect to have problems getting in occasionally, as he has a non conventional way of doing business. Don't ask me why, as I can't say, but he might tell you to show up in the morning, and he just might be full up even though he told you to show up. I sent him a few customers who after a few broken appointments by him, went elsewhere, but I can understand why they did. I just am very patient, so if you can handle that, I know he knows his stuff and its just Steve. Don't take it personal, just keep going back till you get in.

Steve is awesome! He's doing his job the right way. Have enjoyed working with him for over a year now. He has his days, as does everyone. He's honest and most people don't like it. Great job Steve! Keep on keeping on!

Steve is awesome! I had a suspension issue that I expected would cost hundreds of dollars to fix, and I would have paid it! Nope. $40. Any place else would have told me I needed a ton of things I didn't. I'll always go to Diagonal when I need work done from now on, assuming they can do it. Steve may not be the most articulate person, but I'll take honest over articulate any day!

Steve the owner and his partner do a fantastic job he's always polite, friendly, and a weird sense of humor, but just a down-to-earth good guy, and his rates are the best in town. DON'T go any place else for tires or alignment !!! I send all my friends there and they're always happy with his work. $ THE BEST PRICES $.

What a crazy guy. You can't help but absolutely love him.I was in a situation with my back against the wall and hard place. Steve is a beautiful person and helped me out with a car just given to me by a friend. Honestly he may have saved my life.He swapped out tires that I do not know how they didn't blow out. The tread was warn down so low there was no tread, no wire mesh and all that was left was a thin piece of rubber.Had I been on the highway there was no way I could have controlled it.Steve is a great guy and knows more about tires than anyone in Colorado.

Was very friendly and helpful on the phone and quoted me the cheapest price in town. I brought my old Cadillac in this morning, and in an hour and for under $50, my car floats like a cloud with the new alignment. In person, the shop is crowded and dirty, but it IS a mechanic's shop..what do you expect?! The dog is sweet, and Steve was very friendly, honest, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth. I like his straight-forwardness and feel very safe and confident doing business with him again. He did the work himself, explained exactly what he did, and quoted me and OUTSTANDING price for new tires (balanced and rotated even!) I am very pleased and excited to have finally found somewhere I can trust bringing my old Cadillac without being afraid of going bankrupt in the process. Thanks to Steve, I'm keeping my car... My hubby is wrong, I CAN afford to get it fixed!!

Steve runs a straight shop. Never charges more that is fair and does good work in a timely manner. Never tries to sell you anything you don t need. If your tired of the chains ripping you off this is the place for you

Steve down at Diagonal Tire is my go to guy for anything and everything I can't do myself for my vehicles and my family's! I've had my mother's vehicle there, my vehicles and vehicles of friends! Steve goes above and beyond. He did the rear end of my F-150, and did it for less that the other shops I called... also threw in some extra fixes that he didn't even charge me for. It is great to find a mechanic who knows what he's doing, that you can trust.
