Luis and Neighborhood Automotive has been my new go to shop for my Toyota Tundra. Without him and the shop, I'm confident that I would have mistakenly sold my truck. He has helped me bring the truck back to great working order again. And I believe that neighborhood automotive has the most fair prices in town, and will put more effort into their work, then the average automotive technician. I appreciate the honesty, and very hard work at a fair price, especially in this economy! Thank you so much!!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS FRAUD! I took my vehicle to him and he destroyed it! Because of Luis Mendez and neighborhood automotive my car has been unusable for a year! He had it for eight months and made it worse! At one point he gave it back to me with no working brakes!If you want to not fear for you life, if you want your vehicle to work, DO NOT GO TO THIS FRAUD!!!

Had a car issue pop up on my dashboard when I was planning to move across states in the next few days. Diagnosed and fixed issue within day of getting the car. Part wasn't broken and didn't charge me for a new part. Great front desk and mechanic! Showed me exact issue with car and what went wrong!

I ve dealt with an issue for over a year with my jeep. I ve gone to multiple people and companies with no answers,no solutions and no advice. I went to this location and was not only provided an answer within minutes but was told to come back the next morning for a fix. The year long problem was fixed in less than 30 minutes. No where else I will go for maintenance!

Dangerous and dishonest!Absolutely worst mechanic I ve dealt with. Originally quoted $540 and walked out the door at $950 (the extra money was because it took them longer than expected and overcharged for some seals). They said they had a hard time pulling the wheel bearings, when the shop manual clearly calls for them to be pressed out (Neighborhood s mistake but I paid for their extra time of 3 hours). Not only that, but I recently was filling my tire pressure on my tires to find out that I m missing two lug nuts on the wheel they worked on. They were the last ones to take the wheel off. I went back into my garage to grab the torque wrench, and they were ALL under torqued. Awful service, terrible pricing, super unprofessional. Wheels coming off a vehicle is deadly

These guys are absolutely amazing! I had an extremely flat tire and even though they had closed for the day the entire team come out to help me! All three of them were very nice and clearly very experienced with what they do. I will absolutely be coming to them whenever I have car issues and you should too!

One satisfied customer! Thank you Luis! I was referred to the shop by a representative at advanced auto parts.i contacted Luis to address my concerns about my 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. Having some knowledge and understanding in the automotive industry I shared with Luis of my know issues with an exhaust leak and possible catalytic converter problems. I brought my truck in for him to further diag and Luis was able to fit me in to his daily schedule! Not only was he most professional, his customer service is superior! I was challenged with commuting issues for the day, and Luis came to the rescue! Not only did he complete the tests and inspection of my truck, he also took the time to transport me back to work! In our communications , he did find that my CATS need to be done and has already networked to help me find a reputable shop that can perform this work, especially with the challenges now of CA emissions regulations! I am confident that I have been treated fairly and honestly and my safety was also taken in consideration this is hard to come by ! I will recommend this shop to others in the future!! Second time here, first round was a belt job+oil+plugs+injector on a old 4runner and second was a bearing. Both times they did awesome, super competitive prices. The first round was kind of a week with the old truck throwing every possible roadblock (its 250k miles of wear in) but this second round they squeezed me in the very same day. Really pleased and highly recommend

I live right around the corner and am glad I stopped in to have him look at my truck. I thought I needed new CV shafts because I had a grinding noise. He figured out that it was something completely different. Most places would have said yea you need to replace those as well to make more money. Luis is probably the most honest mechanic I have come by. This is now the garage I will always go to. His labor rates are extremely fair. This truly is a "Neighborhood Automotive" shop as he lives only a couple blocks away. Support local business and give him a shot! You wont be disappointed!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Luis is hands down the best and most honest mechanic I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with, after being quoted almost $800 to replace a thermostat housing by another shop, Luis did it for about half of that. I recently bought a used car and noticed it was leaking oil, had Luis look at it and he quoted me almost $700 less than I thought it was going to be. If you're looking for a honest mechanic, look no further.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went in October when Luis's shop had been in existence for four months. He installed new brakes and rotors for my Jetta. He also did a coolant flush, then mistakenly the coolant hose broke in half, he burnt his hand but kept working and found a temporary fix, taped the hose so I would not have to worry about ordering the part. Not only that, he made sure I had good quality oil in my Jetta, and after a few helped me with selling it. I bought his Montero 02 for a fair market value. He said he would give me warranty on my 02 sensors, even though I had to go to the dealership to buy the sensors. He does a fabulous job of presenting his own cultural values like helping out his customers and going the extra miles and still remaining very task and goal oriented and true to his word. He has demonstrated to many people the good values of the American culture with his work ethic. I highly recommend him if you need body work done, because he has connections. I had a friend take their car to this place and they ruined it! They even put her in it when they knew the brakes weren't working! She could have died!DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!

I have gone here for some routine maintenance over the last 6 months or so. When my car wouldn t start Louis helped me over the phone and even offered to help get it over to his shop. (I live within half of a mile or so) When he showed up to help me, my car inexplicably started and has been fine since but he drove over to assist and I appreciate that level of service. I will be coming back, Thanks Louis!

Came here after calling nine, yes nine, other automotive shops in my area who were booked out for at least a week. Brought my own part (AC compressor) and they took me within 30 minutes and finished within 2 hours. Super affordable as well. Great service!

Never leave reviews but it s hard finding a good mechanic. Got me in right away! Did an exceptional job and did more work than he needed to do. Gave an incredible deal and a man of his word. Stayed late just to get the job done. Great service automotive. They work with efficiency, care, and skill. Luis helped me understand what was wrong with my car, was very friendly and earnest, and charged much better rates than Firestone. Take your business here, and make sure to tell them you came from Google maps!

Good so far. I only had an oil change on a 4 cylinder for $65. I guess its an average cost. We'll see when he's done with my daughter's car.

I learned about Neighborhood Automotive via a friend/coworker. Appreciate very much the human interaction; I wasn't being "up-sold." My concern was addressed within my budget, and the work was done properly and the concern and diagnosis process was explained well.

I just started bringing my cars to Luis. Its nice to finally have an honest mechanic in the neighborhood who isnt looking to fix what isnt broken. I'll be bring my cars there for a long time to come . I cannot reccomend him highly enough
