Both my wife and I purchased our vehicles from McDonald dealerships within the last 3 years. Our experiences buying the vehicles were as expected, nothing spectacular but also no complaints. Then came our experience with the Collision Center after my wife was rear-ended on the highway about 5 months ago. My wife contacted McDonald the very next day and was told that the repairs necessary to fix her damaged bumper, sensors and back hatch would take 6 weeks. That is 6 weeks of not having access to her vehicle and needing a rental car. So it goes in the post-covid world. Furthermore, they would not be able to get us scheduled for the actual repairs for 5 months. However, come to find out this 6 week period could have been cut in half by paying for the parts in advance (so they didn t have to order the parts and wait for their delivery while our vehicle was in their shop) had Jon, the representative from McDonald that we were corresponding with, offered us this option. Never once did he mention this as an option to lessen the time that my wife would be without her vehicle as she has a 40 minute one-way commute to work 5 days as a week. So we decided there was nothing we could do about it, we had to get it fixed and we planned accordingly. Our appointment finally arrived after 5 months of waiting and as the process went on, we received notifications whenever they did something to the car. We are also notified via my wife's Mazda app when the doors are unlocked. The first time they even looked inside the vehicle was 4 days after we dropped it off. Why make an appointment if no work is going to be done until 4 days later? We could have saved money on a rental vehicle and avoided other numerous inconveniences while it was sitting in their parking lot.We dropped the vehicle off on Feb. 16th and it was finally done and ready for pickup March16th; 4 weeks to the day it took to make the required repairs. I should also mention that during this process they found an additional problem with the vehicle and added $2,000 to their original bid. As a tradesman myself I understand this type of thing happens once you really start digging deeper into a problem and we agreed to the proposed repairs and increased total dollar amount. It happens, I don t feel like anything dishonest happened here, no big deal. We finally went to pick the vehicle up on March 14th due to a major snowstorm putting everything on hold for a few days. When we arrived we were met by a less than friendly employee in the front office, she was wearing her pajamas which was odd to say the least (super casual Friday?) and more importantly she was very rude and unhelpful. After simply asking my wife her name (no checking of drivers license, etc) handed her the key to the vehicle and when my wife politely asked her where the vehicle was located at, since she didn't offer this information voluntarily, she looked at us like we were bothering her and pointed to a lot completely full of vehicles and said its out there somewhere. We did have the fob so we could click on the unlock button in normal circumstances, or see the license -plate but it had just snowed almost 2 feet in Littleton and the cars were completely covered in snow, and the plows that had plowed the parking lot had embedded the cars in wet, heavy snow. We weren't even offered a shovel to dig ourselves out, we weren't given even the most basic walkthrough of the repairs we just spent $7,500 on and we ended up digging our CX-5 out with windshield ice scrapers and our bare hands. This had to be the most ridiculous, uncourteous and unprofessional experience either of us have ever had involving customer service. This place is horrible, I wish we would have known this prior to spending nearly 100k on vehicles with McDonald Automotive, because we would have certainly spent our money elsewhere. Thanks for nothing. Any bodywork we need done on our brand new Audi will not be done at McDonald Collision.

It is sad that I have to write a bad review for this shop. My wife and I have cars that were damaged in a hail storm last year. I had a terrible experience trying unsuccessfully to get my car repaired at another shop, so it was nice when we got around to her car and used McDonald as the service seemed as efficient as possible in this wild, unresponsive and overwhelmed service sector. The customer service here seemed honest and to the point, if not at all personable. With my wife's car completed, I decided to try to get a second estimate on my car as that is PRECISELY what everyone that I talked to my insurance company told me to do if I was not ready to have them consider my car a total loss. As the car is perfectly driveable, I would prefer to get repairs done and fully insure the vehicle. Since the other shop was dishonest, completely unresponsive, and chaotic, I thought I would try McDonald since I felt they were more professional. I spoke with one representative about this and sent them all the claim information. A second representative called back and left a message that since my insurance deemed the car a total loss, they would be unable to repair my car. If I had agreed to my car being a total loss, according to representatives at my insurance company, this would be true, but I was looking to find out if a better shop would assign a more reasonable price, so the vehicle has not yet cleared the total loss department.I called back to correct the misunderstanding and attempted again to schedule an estimate. The conversation with the representative began with an impolite tone and quickly devolved into all-out disrespect. She essentially inferred that I was either lying about or was too stupid to understand what my insurance company was telling me, that my car was a total loss and that my insurance company did not allow second opinions. She had been working there for 13 years, she told me, and was the final word on this. I was in customer service for 20 years, and understand people having bad days, but the shouting was unprovoked and unnecessary. I asked to speak with her manager and she said they would call back. A week later and this has not yet occurred. I would appreciate the honesty that they just don't want to give me a free estimate and that would be fine. Calling me a liar is just not right and unacceptable. Would not, as of this time, recommend.

Brianna @ McDonald Collision is absolutely amazing and it was a pleasure to work with her. She will make sure your car is done up correctly and things are not forgotten. Could not ask for a better service writer, she is polite, pays attention to the details, and listens to the client/customer. Thanks Brianna!

This is what 2 hours of waiting got me at this collision center. They couldn t find my car , shortly after I arrived. They said it was ready for pick up after it s 2 weeks of repairs. This was the condition of my car after they located it and brought it up to the front for me to take home. I will leave these pictures I took after arriving home here. The next day I called back to address this situation, they told me to bring back the documents they left in my car and they would take a look at the stain left. A man that works there came out and said he will try to handle it with some materials he had on hand and after 1 hours of watching him lighten/smear the stain around he said that was all he could get to come out.

McDonald Collision will always be my first choice for repairs to my vehicle. The team that put my lift gate back together had great communication and went above and beyond. I had installed a dashcam which had to be removed from my old lift gate to put in my replacement lift gate. It's not their job to do anything with that piece, but they helped me line up and put it in my new lift gate.My second time there was because of paint chipping off, which was painted by them (not a big deal, it happens) well they got me in quick and had a loaner vehicle waiting for me as it was supposed to take 3-4 days to repaint. It ended up taking a little over 24hours. The specialist Brianna was so knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. She was so helpful and fun! They have my full support and patronage.

I deeply regret getting my car towed to McDonald collision. I hoped their relationship with the Audi dealer would make it the best choice, but they ve been working on my vehicle since January 4, which was five months ago now. Granted, it had two separate insurance claims on it, which explains some delay, but one claim was for a busted back window. Seems pretty simple. they could put me back in my car while we wait for parts or insurance, but they told me the whole car was disassembled and they can t put it together.Absolutely no communication throughout the process. Every time I call, I get a different person and they tell me a different story.

These people are truly understanding and kind . I came in with a hot head because I just bought a new car and less than 50 miles had hail damage. Monica, Matt, and Amanda were very kind and understanding of my frustrations. They helped bring me back to earth and I am grateful for that. Keep up the good work all!!!

If I could give this business zero stars I would. They have had my Polestar in their possession to repair since November 21st. A full 2 months later, I still do not have a date for completion. Each time I have contacted them I have been told it should be done in a couple days. There was a period of about a week where my insurance adjuster failed to get back to them, but that does not explain 2 months of putting me off and giving me minimal information. I love my Polestar but I would warn Denver residents against buying one, because this is the only shop certified to repair them in the case of a collision.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

My experience here was very well. I had taken my Audi A3 here after it needed a completely new front right suspension system and bumper. The initial diagnostics did take a while... however that isn't necessarily in their oontrol. Brianna, Amanda, Delaney, and Nick were all professional and kind to me.Now as for the car, got it back 2 months later (November - Jan). Main delay was parts from Audi. Car looks and drives great, if something is to change I will update this to reflect accordingly but the fixes seem done well.

My wife took our Volvo XC90 to this shop for fender replacement. Having body shop owners in our family and being aware of part supply issues I instructed her to make sure they verified availability of the fender before checking in and disassembly. She was told they couldn't verify parts availability until fender was removed. While this is partially true for small parts underneath the fender, checking to see if the main part (fender) was available could have easily been completed.Multiple weeks later she received a message indicating the fender shipment was delayed. After that time came and went she called and was told the fender had been shipped but there was no way to see where it was at.After more weeks of no fender delivery I physically went to the location. The shop had no way to track if or when the fender would arrive. I asked them to put the vehicle back together since the damage was only cosmetic but they refused unless we paid a huge sum to do so. (This also would not be covered in the insurance claim). I then contacted the overall dealership manager. Ultimately he had one of the shop experts repair the existing fender and it was good work. Unfortunately we lost the use of our vehicle for months and paid thousands for a rental car (not covered by insurance) because the collision center refused my wife's request to check on fender availability prior to removing the it and disassembling the front end.Service: Body & Trim

This is the worst customer service experience I have EVER had. After being quoted 4-5 weeks for repairs, they consistently failed to communicate delays and ended up keeping my car for nearly 6 full months, AND failed to complete the repairs correctly. If you need body work and are considering McDonald Collision, I would urge you to seriously reconsider and pick another shop. I ve detailed the full saga below. My Polestar went in for fairly minor repairs (grill, headlight, radiator, and a minor dent). I was quoted 4-5 weeks for the work. After 6 weeks of no communication, I called for status, only to find out they hadn t even started. I called back 2 weeks later to learn that they had finally disassembled the car and ordered parts. They quoted me another 4-5 weeks to receive the parts and complete the work. After 4 more weeks of no communication, I called again and was informed that the bumper and radiator were on back order and would take 6 more weeks to arrive. After 6 more weeks of no more communication, I called again and was told that the parts were further delayed and would be another month. After another month of no communication, I called and was told that everything was there, besides the bumper, which would be one more week. After that week of no communication, I called and was told that they had to order a headlight, which would take another 6 weeks, at which point I asked them to give me the car back with the broken headlight. They agreed and said it would be one more week. After that week, I called, and they said it would be another month. At this point, I started asking to talk to the manager but was never called by them. After another couple rounds of delays and lack of communication, the car was finally ready for pickup, 5.5 months after it was dropped off. When I arrived to pick it up, I immediately noticed that the hood still had a visible dent. They said I could bring the car back the following week for a 3-4 day repair to complete the work that should have been done originally. When I brought it back, I called after 4 days of no communication, and they said they needed more time. After another week of this, I finally got the car back. The repair still wasn t perfect, but I decided to call it good enough in order to get my car back.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Picked up my car after over a month in the shop. Car looks good so far. The new bumper seems to be painted well. They detailed the car. I did body work on my MX-5 related to a minor collision with my garage as I was pulling out. I paid for the repair myself.McDonald Collision did an outstanding job with the body work and painting. The color matches the factory paint and the work was done in a timely manner. The repair consultant - Jon Constant was excellent in providing an estimate that was close enough and in keeping in touch. The staff were courteous and professional.Overall I had a good experience. The quality of body work and painting was excellent and there weren't any mistakes made in the work, delivery time, estimates or billing.I would highly recommend them for body work and painting.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

After hitting a tire in My audi Last year I dropped it off here over the weekend. My repair coordinator Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable, and also very helpful in providing me detailed updates on the repair process. The work is exceptional, paint work is indiscernible from factory finish. I wouldn't bring my car anywhere else for collision work.

Working with them currently. My car was dropped off there over a month ago. Was told they would have testing done on my car but have heard literally nothing. Had to check in with them to make sure the received the initial insurance quote, they did not. Was lost in email apparently. Had to do all that extra work on my end. No updates, I have to reach out to hear any word of what s going on. Very very slow service.

This place is amazing! They took care of me in not only a timely manner, but also in a very professional way! I took my car in for a fender bender on my rear bumper, but decided to get my front redone as well. Not only did they do an amazing job, they replaced brackets I didn't know I was missing. In addition to fixing my 10 year old Audi to factory condition, they cleaned not just the out side, but the inside of my car as well!!! All in all I'll say they are hands down the best shop I've been to. Moving forward with any Audi I own, I will definitely be taking my business to McDonald.PS. One thing I forgot to mention. When I picked up my car, I told them about the rental issue I had with Progressive. Michael Arellano, apologized for the experience even though he had nothing to do with it. Then assured me he would speak to progressive about the issue to make sure future customers don't have the same experience.

Very dissatisfied with multiple aspects of my experience with McDonald collision .I took my car here for collision repair after it was rear ended. They replaced the trunk and rear bumper.1. The first time I go to pick up my car the trunk was misaligned and would not close properly. They apologized and ask for an extra day to fix it.2. Two weeks after getting my car back I notice the trunk is filling with water. I have to take it back 3 times for them to diagnose that they forgot to install the trunk lid drain tubes.3. When I finally pick my car up the steering wheel has a big tear in the leather from the managers oversized belt buckle.4. A few months after the repair the trunk is misaligned again. I took my car to another shop and find out that McDonald stripped half the fasteners for the trunk. They said they would warranty their work but I find it best to avoid a business with such poor quality control.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Used them three times. Each time they did an ok job but are poor in communication;- Door scratch Porsche. They touched up the paint poorly. Could clearly see the scratch so i told them to keep it and do a better job.- Communication: They are slow, unresponsive, require several calls to get an answer, moreover they also communicate badly with the insurence adjuster to get things approved. It took them 2 weeks to get the paperwork and get started on a car.Won't use them again. Rather find an alternative place willing able to provide better service and better quality.Service: Body & Trim

One of the best customer service experiences I have had, period. From the moment I contacted McDonald, they made me feel listened too, prioritized, and assured that my car was in the best care. Nick Constant, my repair coordinator, is the definition of a professional. His detailed communications, transparency, client advocacy, and obvious dedication to excellence is beyond impressive. The quality of repairs performed to my Audi A6 (driver's rear quarter panel, rocker, wheel, suspension, passenger door, rear glass, all after being hit by a car running a red light) is as good as factory condition. Although there were a couple of minor things that needed touch up, requiring me to bring the car back after initially taking deliver (the glass company that works with McDonald was the actual cause of the issue) they quickly remedied them, and even provided a rental car while performing the fix.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend McDonald, or return myself, although I certainly hope I won't have a need.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Body & Trim

They did a great job. I have worked in automotive for over 30 years and dealt with a lot of bodyshops and I can't say I have ever been happy with how any of them ran their business. These guys keep you informed and got the work done as promised. Very rare this day and age for sure. Thanks guys!

McDonald Collision was a largely negative experience for me. First, they hyperinflated their repair estimate, causing my insurance company to want to total out my car. We got that worked out, but McDonald still did more work than was necessary. Communication with the shop was spotty: one request for an ETA went three business days without a reply. When I collected my car, it did not have a drop of gas in it (if the tank was drained for safety, nobody advised me of that). Also, unbelievably, nobody from the shop met me at my car to see if I was happy with the $3000-worth of repairs. To be fair, the quality of the work was good, and they knocked $100 off my deductible to help compensate for delays. But the inflated estimating, spotty communication, and poor customer service on delivery were disappointing, especially considering the top-dollar pricing. I would not use this facility again or recommend it to others.

They were really nice, that's about it... Went in to fix my bumper and they managed to mess up my horn and windshield wiper pump while fixing my bumper. Then I noticed that the parts they "fixed" my bumper with were damaged! They refused to fix it correctly unless I was going to pay for ANOTHER brand new part.
