Great service! Quoted price came out to what it actually was. Had transmission issues with my 2012 Legacy. They did a great job getting it fixed.Very nice and provided text updates on my car. Even pictures along with the inspection report of my whole car while it was in. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.Thanks so much! See you soon for the next service.

I was born in Colorado and moved to Fort Collins in 2012, I have lived here ever since. I have tried multiple repair shops for mine and my wife s vehicles over the years. I have been using Kings Auto since 2018. Since then, I stopped trying other shops. Our vehicles have never run better. They have a maintenance program that has kept my trucks from breaking down and they always let me know whether something needs attention now or whether it can wait. I appreciate the honesty and feel that they have my best interests in mind rather than pushing me to spend more.My first time here, I brought them a very old truck that was kind of on its last leg. I asked them to get it running again because it was sentimental to me. They provided me with a lot of details about what needed to be fixed. It was a combination of pictures, videos, and explanations. I liked the fact that I was able to understand what was needed and why. I gave them approval to move forward on the work. It took some time, longer than they originally said, but when I drove it for the first time after picking it up, it was worth it. The truck ran smoother than ever before. I did have to bring it back for a leak that they fixed but they warrantied it and put me in loaner. I liked the fact they took responsibility and made it right.After that, I brought them my family s other trucks and it s been a good experience. I don t have to worry about knowing what is due or when since they keep a record of past and future scheduled work. They make it easy to stay on top of the maintenance schedules. My wife also takes her 4runner in by herself and they treat her very well. Adam was super helpful in getting my Subaru Forester serviced and coming up with a plan for future services to be done. Everyone there was so friendly and they also provided courtesy Lyft and a loaner vehicle options so that I could easily get around while my car was being worked on. Thank you all so much! I ve been taking my vehicles to King s since mid 90 s to 2004 and again when we moved back in 2010. I ve never had a negative experience in all those years of them servicing a variety of cars, SUV s and pick-ups.I m overdue in thanking them with a five star review for a complete rear brake job on my 2018 F150 this week.They got me in quickly, provided a loaner and finished the job as scheduled. Great work King s!

King's Auto Center made truck repair a pleasurable experience. They fixed the issue we were having quickly and economically. They also fully inspected the truck and supplied a full detailed report of what was needed to repair as well as optional maintenance items. We opted for only the required repairs at this time and there weren't any high-pressure sales for the other items. On top of all the great service and communication we received, they gave us a student discount. King's will defiantly be our first choice for any future truck repairs.

This place is amazing! They fixed an issue I had repaired on 4 separate occasions with another shop. They were very kind and even gave me the option of taking it back to the other shop since this part was under warranty. However I chose to eat the extra money and let King's auto repair my car to ensure it was done correctly this time. They have my business for sure now. I would recommend them to anybody!

I had a great experience here! Will absolutely be returning for future maintenance on my Subaru. These people truly care about you and your vehicle! The courtesy inspection is very thorough, and they ask questions about maintenance history to make sure they have the most accurate information. They listened to my explanation of what I thought was needed fo my car, focused on my areas of concern and gave detailed explanations of their findings. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable; they did background research on the HVAC control unit in my car to figure out if it is actually worthwhile to replace this component with another used unit, since it's old enough this part isn't available new (it wasn't worthwile, come to find out). I really appreciated their transparency! They did not just push me to get as many services done as possible. Instead, they figured out what was necessary versus what was suggested, and we went from there to determine what work to complete on my vehicle given my schedule. Had my car ready to go early afternoon on the day promised! This has become my go-to mechanic shop! Thanks Jason and Adam!!

My son recommended King's Auto...he was impressed with the fair, honest and quality workmanship. I didn't have repairs done, but I had my systems checked and it was recommended that I replace the air filter and get a oil change. Perfect! No add-ons or extras. I will return and I think you should check them out

We took our 2012 Jeep Wrangler in for a check engine light. King's Auto did a comprehensive check of the vehicle and presented all their findings with suggestions on the things that should be addressed sooner rather than later. After talking with a technician, we agreed to a plan and they did a great job. I would definitely use them again and refer others to King's Auto.

The short: parts and labor cost were not transparent, overall customer service was mediocre.I was interested in trying King's Automotive based on the number of high ratings they have received but unfortunately my experience did not reflect what others are noting. My initial interaction was excellent when I called to explain the issue with my vehicle and schedule an appointment, however, once the vehicle was dropped off and in possession of the shop some red flags and issues arose.This was my first time working with King's automotive and I hired them to repair a straightforward issue that was well documented, a broken washer reservoir pump plug and a tire rotation. My expectation from my first conversation with King's, and experience with other mechanics, is that they would provide a quote for the work, I'd sign off, and they would complete the repair. However this was not the process that King's automotive followed.When dropping off the vehicle I was made aware that there would be a $180 cost to diagnose the issue, after some discussion it was reduced to $80 since I had detailed photos of the exact plug that needed to be replaced and a description of the issue. I was understanding of the diagnosis 'cost' as it was possible other issues existed that I was not aware of.The first red flag occurred when I received a text that a (singular) lug and lug nut was cross threaded and needed to be replaced. This was quoted out at $96 including labor which is way out of spec so I requested photos of the issue. The request could not be completed but the service advisor said they would send them with my full quote.Upon receiving the full quote it was apparent that both labor and parts costs were exaggerated, with the connector for the washer reservoir being marked up around 100% and the entire job consisting of pig tailing a connector (2 wires) and a tire rotation now requiring 2hrs of labor billed at roughly $160/hr. The work order did not provide ANY breakdown of hours required per job, just cost.When I contacted the service advisor to get some clarity on where the labor was required I was immediately forwarded to the manager. The manager, Adam, seemed very defensive and frustrated that I was asking for a breakdown of labor, that I was curious about the damage to wheel lugs and lug nuts, and that I felt the price for parts was unreasonably marked up. I was also made aware that the inflated labor reflected 2x damaged lugs and lug nuts as opposed to the 1x mentioned previously. I was not able to get clear answers to these questions and any time I explained that I wanted a good working relationship it was met with being talked over, interrupted, and lecturing about 'margins' and protecting his shops bottom line.We both agreed the best path forward was the not continue forward on the job and I picked up the vehicle. Upon pick up the technician had not correctly fit the dust guard on the drivers side front brake, the same hub/wheel that had been damaged, and it had to be put on a lift again to pull the dust guard in place.Unfortunately after this experience I cannot recommend Kings Automotive, however, they did provide continual communication via text and email for work orders, invoices, and updates which is appreciated.Services: Electrical repair, Tire rotations, Vehicle safety inspection

Local shop that does great work with quick turnaround. Our Volkswagen work was ~30% cheaper here than the dealership quoted us, and we were pleased with the communication and inspection report. Will definitely be using for future car maintenance/troubles.

I just had a fantastic experience with King's Auto, and they get an easy 5 stars from me.For context, my car knowledge is embarrassingly limited, and my car broke down while traveling through Fort Collins for a work trip and visiting my old CSU stomping grounds. With that in mind, you can see there's a lot that some mechanics might take advantage of to squeeze an extra few hundred bucks out of me. I ended up taking my car in to King's Auto and was happy to find that they do so much to help mitigate that risk for their customers and be transparent about their process.For instance, their inspection involved taking actual photos of any concerns and compiling everything into a convenient and easy-to-understand report of "red light" repairs (do it now), "yellow light" repairs (you'll want to keep an eye on these), and "green light" items (these things look good). It's a great idea to help show the customer what they're flagging and why, and each concern had a paragraph or so of what that part of the car does and why it's bad to let it go unfixed. And unlike other shops whose employees have absolutely zero social skills, the assistant manager of King's Auto -- Jason -- was totally awesome at making sense of it all, helping me know what to prioritize, and just generally making a frustrating car experience a lot easier. He was awesome at taking complicated car repair jargon and translating it into something understandable so I could make an informed decision on what to do with my car. He also told me, unsolicited, about additional perks: they will pay for an Uber when you need to pick up your car, and they take part in a warranty program that allows you to take your car in to any participating location across the US and get it repaired there if anything happens to it while traveling. Small details like this convey to me that they actually want to help you through a bad car breakdown in any way they can.Seriously, I can't recommend these guys enough. Good people, fair prices, and honest work -- everything I'm looking for in an auto shop. If I lived in Fort Collins, I'd be taking my car in for everything from an oil change to any future repairs I might need.

They are reasonably priced, honest and I don't feel like they try to sell me things that I don't need. It is intimidating going into a mechanic shop without knowing anything about cars. I have worked with Kings for the last 2 years, and only for routine maintenance. On my last visit, they noticed oil, possibly from a leak, around my transmission / oil reservoir. They provided photos and suggested that I return after 500 miles to reinspect, which I did. There was not a problem, but I appreciated them finding a potential serious issue and pointing it out. I find King's staff to be professional, taking all the time necessary to resolve any questions in a calm unhurried way. No pressure. Also the waiting area and facility in general is clean and inviting. An impressive organization. Recommended.Service: Auto maintenance

Kings auto is fantastic! I have been bringing them a heavily modded WRX for years (which some of the shops in town have been iffy about). They are always transparent about repairs, issues, pricing and timing of repairs. One recent issue involved a knock sensor which kept failing due to shoddy manufacturing. They took care of it quickly with OEM parts, no issues.They always provide a vehicle condition report, which I highly encourage you to look at.
