I have been taking my Subaru to Funk E for about a year now due to the sheer amount of other wrx/sti drivers who recommended them to me. They have been extremely helpful with teaching me more about my car as I try to learn about cars. Their reliability is through the roof the best and I trust them more than any other performance shop I ve been to. Their knowledge on cars, especially engines, is exceptional and a wonderful example of that would be their work on the Subaru called The Rainmaker. Ryan, who has had to be bombarded by 100 s of questions by me has always taken the time to explain more and more about my car and tell me what I should do to accomplish my car goals. When he first found out I wanted to learn more about my car, he had me come look at my car under the lift and explained what might be worth replacing and why. And if none of that is a good enough reason as to why you should do work with funk e built, listen to this: they have the cutest dog. I ve never had a bad day talking to the guys at this shop and all of my work done by them has been amazing. Lastly, whenever someone asks where I get my work done, I proudly tell them that I get everything done by funk e.

I ve been using funke for about 5 years now since I bought my Subaru and I will say they are one of the best tuner/repair businesses in Fort Collins. Just took my Honda there to get some wheel studs and ball joints replaced and they under promised and over delivered. Got my car fixed and finished in under 4 hours after I dropped my parts off to them. If you re looking for awesome customer service and a reliable mechanic to work on Your Subaru or anything with 4 wheels, funk-e-built is the place to go. I have appreciated the honesty and quick service. We take our personal and work vehicles and they don't fix them well they educate you. They have left broken parts out to show me why they had to be replaced and how they work. I really appreciated the knowledge on our Subaru! I would give more stars if I could.

Wanna thank the tuner at funk e built for listening to what I wanted for the car and believing in me that it could happen if he didn t hold back. now I have prove of time slipped. very few had accomplish in 2017 stock Sti with basic bolt ons. So thank you, all be coming back next yr where just getting started.

I have had the honor of knowing Ryan, James and Eric for a number of years as well as getting tuned by them. The guys are super knowledgeable and are happy to help with any questions the may arise with work being performed. I have had zero issues with my tune and my Legacy GT runs and performs better than ever. I can't wait to work with Funk E for my future build and am looking forward to seeing what she puts down at the track. 100% recommend Funk E Built! Thank you guys!!

I have known The Funk E Built crew for YEARS now! Started off with a bunch of guys building cars at home to race and have fun. That evolved into the FASTEST Subaru in Colorado! I have bought many parts from them because they have great pricing, customer service with a smile, a clean shop, the knowledge to help me make the correct decision on a part purchase, and are the experts on installation! It doesn't matter if you're wanting to build your Subaru to +1000hp or just in for a check up and oil change, they will always be glad to help and treat you right.

5+++ stars. Erik, James, and Ryan are amazing. My 2013 WRX got rod knock, and through friend I was recommended this shop. They completely rebuilt my motor and did an absolutely outstanding job. Thoroughly discussed details of the built with me and kept me 100% updated on everything during the build and had my car back to me in no time! Since the motor build they have always been available to answer any questions I had. I have not had any issues with the new motor and have since been back for multiple aftermarket parts and installations of those parts. These guys are so intelligent, respectful, and compassionate. They work incredibly hard to make their customers 100% satisfied and I have never left their shop with anything but a smile on my face. I wouldn't take my car to any other shop. 1000% recommend them. AMAZING people and AMAZING service.

Amazing and professional company that will never Steer you in the wrong direction. I have full trust in Ryan to work on all my Cars and ranging from my hellcat, sti and even my wife s jeep. I've had a ton of work done here over the last 8 months, they're incredibly trustworthy, professional, and honest. I've even gone as far as to drive from Texas back home to Colorado just to let funk-e-built do work on my subie. Give them your business, you won't regret it.

The guys over at Funk E Built are amazing. I got the run around from a few shops when I first bought my car. It was more screwed up than I had ever imagined based on how the dealer sold it to me. They were able to fix it up to the point where it was drivable. My car sat in other shops for months. Funk E Built had me running in a couple days. Not only that but I just called with check engine light issues and Ryan told me A) how to fix it myself or B) that they could do it and for how much. Most shops would just tell you to bring it in. Thank you!

I have had an amazing experience with this company. I have had a TON of help from Ryan. Both on Facebook, through messenger, and over the phone. He is courteous, honest, and knowledgeable. After talking with him for just a few short minutes I know I would take ANY car to Funk E Built. Honest, good prices, and information that comes from years of experience. I already love this company, and I haven't even paid them yet :-)

This is a must go to mechanic shop if you are a Subaru driver, even you don't have a performance vehicle they are great with basic maintenance and engine repair. At $95/hour you can't beat the quality of the shop and they always give it to you straight when bad things happen and your car needs an overhaul. Funky is also great at working and tuning all kinds of cars as well from Subies, to Evo's, and Toyota's, and everything in-between, with in house modification services from simple bolt-ons all the way up to fully built engines. A great, safe place to bring your car and worth every penny

By far the worst experience I have ever had with a business. They produce sloppy work and will not back what they do one bit. Once a problem does arise they will become aggressive, hostile, and try to bully you. The customer service is good when you are getting the work done and are about to pay them. Once you have paid and the works been done but if their is a problem with the work done all the customer service goes right out the door. I lost thousands of dollars because my engine was not rebuilt right by funk e built. When I came to them with the problematic motor it was instantly not their fault, had to be a part failure. Almost instantly they quickly changed it all to being my fault that one hose wasn't connected on my car when it left their shop. Telling me it was my responsibility to ensure my car was completely good to go, after they did a full motor rebuild. They didn't complete my car when it's left their shop and when it came back with a problem because of them, they instantly turned hostile. On top of that they blamed me for my car leaving when it was not 100 percent completed, yet they put it all together and released it to me when they deemed they were done. On a side note they also didn't put the nuts on the motor mounts, so my motor wasn't completely bolted down. This company sat and lied to me for weeks about the health of my engine. When I knew it was messed up the minute it left their shop. Do yourself a favor and stay away from here. You'll save so much money. You'd be much better off with choosing any other shop in Colorado. This shop is so unprofessional that they deleted the Facebook page they had because of negative feedback. They then started a brand new page with all five star reviews! Goes to show that they avoid and cover up problems. Rather than dealing with them. Thanks for taking time to read this, I hope this doesn't happen to any one else. It sucks losing over ten thousand dollars and being blamed for all of it.

Ryan was extremely knowledgeable, very informative and was honest with me. Great for building up a car or doing maintenance. My trip sucked because my car isn't worth the money to make it fast, and Ryan was honest about it and didn't want me to waste my money. Great guy. Definitely will go back though for my Subaru maintenance

Funk E Built is one of the best performance shops in Colorado. There are 3 reasons why:#1 - Ryan. He is one of the most down to earth and honest guys you'll ever meet. He's been incredibly helpful since day 1 of owning my 2015 WRX and always cares about the customer. I was having some tuning issues and left him a voice message, not realizing he was at that moment graduating from CSU. As soon as he was done walking, he immediately returned my call and offered to drop everything to help me out with my automotive "emergency". This shows a true testament of his character.#2 - James. He will geek out with you all day long about tuning and automotive parts. He is very particular about his tuning and you can tell he has a passion for what he does. His tunes are great and if there's ever any sort of issue, he will have you bring the car back in to make adjustments so it runs properly.#3 - Eric. My first experience with Eric was when I just purchased my first WRX, and before he had a brick and mortar shop. I had some issues installing a shifting component and he didn't hesitate to help me out in his own personal garage. He's a very humble person and incredibly knowledgeable about Subarus.These guys are great and would recommend this shop to anyone.

The guys here are awesome. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I've brought my 03 WRX here multiple times for a tune. Every time I have left here completely satisfied. Real people who do honest work. Highly recommend them. Keep the good work up guys.

Funk E Built did an awesome job on my car highly recommend them. I had recently purchased a car out of state that had some problems Ryan helped me out threw the whole process of fixing my car and giving helpful advice to get the dealer to pay for those problems now I have my car back and couldn't be happier thanks again to everyone at Funk E Built you guys are awesome

Eric was really professional with me. He explained everything to me clearly and kept in contact with me while he was working on my car. They fixed my engine and a few other requests I had and my car is running like new again. Ive had my car back for about a week now and everything is running great. I will definitely be coming back here for future repairs. Thanks guys!

Wouldn't ever recommend this shop to anyone! They charged me for aftermarket parts and gave me stock ones. Not only that but the produce the worst quality work I have ever seen. They gave me the run around when my brand new clutch when it was making excessive amounts of noise. I was told "that's how it's supposed to sound." If you want to be lied to and get scammed out of money then come here. They cover up mistakes and try to cover up bad reviews. They started getting negative reviews on facebook and deleted every review and took off the ability to review the company on facebook. If that doesn't scream guilty then I don't know what does. Save your money and go some where else

If you re looking for somebody that cares about you as a guest this is the place! I m just getting into the car world and I came here off of recommendation from a friend. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed. They took me through every part I was looking at and gave me recommendations on good parts and advised me of bad brands and bad modifications. They definitely helped make the right decisions for my car.

I am getting my 2006 LGT spec b broken in with a closed deck. Was having possible boost leak issues and Ryan had me in, smoked tested and out in no time. Awesome working with these guys everytime. I was blessed enough to tear down an engine "built" by funk e built. Their shops name definitely describes their work perfectly. There were multiple critical components installed incorrectly. (Cross threaded head studs, non torqued cam cap bolts, over torqued bolts holding/breaking various plastic pieced, and the list goes on) They made up for it by using way too much RTV sealant on everything. I'm very glad that I saw this engine before getting service done at funk e built. Everybody should think twice before getting work done here.

My wife and I walked in years ago just expecting to look at some performance parts for our Mazda. While walking into the shop I heard what could only be described as the "voice of an angel" talking on his phone. As I crossed the threshold to towards the office floor I saw the majestic being encompassing the beautifully pitched tones. It was Ryan Ethridge!! Without missing a beat like an Olympic athlete passing the baton in a relay he shook our hands with the kindness and strength of a velvet sledgehammer. Just like that we were both hooked, he began to listen to our wants and needs. With the speed of Hermes he began to show us all of our options, truly caring about our needs as Oden cares for all of Asguard. We have since then been customers with them. Over the years they have worked on our WRX, 850awhp EVO X, and FXT. Ryan, Eric, and James work without hesitation with an almost gold glowing aura around them as the rest of the shop seemed to dim as they wrench away on these fast cars like Zeus's lighting from his trident! I took my 2 cars to Funk-E-Build, an evo and a supra, to get work done on them. The evo i thought i blew the motor up and they were really honest and told me it was the oil pump, they got her fixed and now it runs amazing and the supra i took it to them to get some custom stuff done and they also did amazing work on that too. im super happy with them and will go back to them for more work soon.thanks funk e built

Eric at Funk-E-Built has been a resource for me in the past with multiple of my Subaru WRX's. He completed a full rebuild for me on my wife's WRX and it has been perfectly reliable since leaving his shop 20,000 miles ago. I would recommend Eric and the crew at Funk-E-Built to anyone on jobs large or small.

Alright seriously these guys are amazing ! ! ! My car came from another shop and they diagnosed some engine noises, turns out I am crazy, however they went above and beyond just to give me some peace of mind. Thank you all I shall be returning for everything from here on out to funk-e-built. Awesome awesome awesome ! ! !

Great service and happy to be back on the road! Pictures during the build process, and great with communicating and explaining everything, show you the parts that were bad. It is hard for me to trust other people to work on my cars, and I will be returning for sure for anything else I need. Thank you guys for everything! Can't wait to see what is in store after break in!

was on my way to work when my radiator blew. had a tow truck pick up my car and had it sent to them. by next morning my radiator was replaced along with oil change and a few other side things. they were quick but didnt rush the things that took time (like getting air bubbles out of my system) and they took it for a test drive just to be sure i even got to work on time. you guys are my go to thank you!
