My key had been sticking in the ignition and they checked it out and fixed it. Amazing, but the most amazing was no charge! I have used them for years and they are always great. Carl and his staff have been taking care of my families cars since we moved to Colorado in 1998. They've always done an incredible job, and are very reasonably priced. Very honest and trustworthy mechanics, and I'd trust them over any other shop.I once drove from Virginia to Colorado to have Carl fix my car. Yeah, he's that good.

If you have a Volvo, I highly, HIGHLY recommend bringing it here for maintenance and repairs. I've been bringing my Volvo here for about 7 years now (I think?), and my parents (who owned it before me and bought it when it was brand new in 2000) brought it here too.The people here are awesome; they're obviously very knowledgeable and as someone who's not extremely well versed in cars, I love that they're good at explaining to me what repairs need to be done and why in a way I can understand. (Shoutout to Mike, I think I usually talk to him.)I also super appreciate that they clearly communicate the estimated cost of any service or repairs beforehand, and the estimates they've given me have always been spot on, so I always know what to expect.Overall, a very reputable mechanic shop. I wouldn't trust my Volvo with anyone else.

Carl Duke Volvo Repair is great. My wife's family has used them for their multiple Volvos for a very long time, and has pretty much always been thoroughly pleased by the service they received. So have me and my wife. We recently went in for what ended up being a fairly large amount of work, and after running the work and costs associated by my dad, who has had to get his cars repaired a lot, he said that Carl Duke's quoted price for everything they were doing was about half what he would have expected. I don't know how they manage to be so much cheaper, but this little story captures the overall experience that Carl Duke's regularly provides, it seems. Quality work for cheaper than you expect. Go here if you have a Volvo.

We bought a used Volvo from Carl Duke for our daughter to drive to college. We had heard that Carl Duke takes great care of his customers and we wanted the safety of a Volvo as we sent our daughter across the country on her own.The car has worked great, but as with any used vehicle things can come up. Carl Duke has helped us with every issue, working quickly when our daughter is home from school so she can get back on the road, and when new parts are required has always treated us better than fair on cost, even taking care of some initial issues free of charge.We love feeling like we have a good, reliable car for our daughter, and she loves knowing it is well cared for when she brings it back to Fort Collins.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Oil change

Hadn't owned a Volvo in years and these guys came highly recommended from another Volvo owner - they did not disappoint. Great customer service, calls to explain work being done, we asked a question about the hatch lock and they took time to look at it and make the quick fix at no charge. Most importantly, our car is running great. THE PLACE to go if you own a Volvo!

This is a great small business located in larimer county. I highly recommend this repair shop for ALL your volvo repairs. Fairly priced and not out to take advantage of people. Mike and Carl are great individuals to work with and definitely know what they are doing, when it comes to volvo's. Look no further for a great repair shop. Mechanics and owner are very attentive and thorough. They give you an honest assessment and the parts and labor are very reasonably priced. My family all own Volvo's and we all recommend Carl Duke's to anyone who needs Volvo repairs.

Went here because my transmission was having troubles 300$ later and my transmission shifts like it did when it was new!!! I was worried I would have to spend 5000$ on a new transmission but there guys were honest and helped me out! A little more expensive than other places but not by much, your paying for people who know there way around a Volvo! Definitely recommend for anyone with a Volvo! Good honest family style business, one time they let me use their lowner vehicle, other time owner drove me home when my Volvo needed repair and their lowner was already out. I felt like I was getting good honest care from a united team, very willing to show me what was needed now and what would likely be needed down the road. Happy to have a Volvo and happy to use Carl Duke Volvo repair as my mechanic, other mechanics in the area also speak highly of them.

I have a 2001 XC70 that has had it's share of issues. When we moved to Fort Collins in 2004, I started taking my Volvo to Carl Duke and have had nothing but good experiences with them over these past 13 years. For the repairs and maintenance they have done on my vehicle, their diagnosis has been accurate, their workmanship solid and their prices very fair.As an engineer I know technical competence when I see it, the mechanics and management at Carl Duke Volvo exhibit excellence when it comes to Volvo maintenance and repair.I highly recommend them to all Volvo owners in the area.

Excellent customer service, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I just picked up my Volvo today and am very pleased with the service and repairs, as well as the price! All done in a very timely manner. This has been the second time I've taken my car to Carl Duke's and I highly recommend this shop :)

I've been a customer of Carl's since 1986. Most honest, competent and trustworthy mechanic in all my time! I have never had an issue he couldn't fix and I am on Volvo #7. I highly recommend him to anyone who shares my interest in Volvo cars.

Carl Duke .,. himself.... took his time to look at my car's issues as a "stop by" without an appt and had "Ed" help me to get my car safe to drive : air in my tire ...adjust the windshield wipers ( only one was working and checked the dash fuses as I had no interior dash lights...

Great service at a very reasonable price, always. With their help, I think my Volvo will run forever! They ve done such great work on my Volvo we now bring our Subaru to them, and have again been consistently amazed at the quality of the service they provide.

This outfit is great. We have been using them for 22 years with a variety of Volvos from vintage to 2006 models. Carl and his staff are always honest, they do great work, and they have helped us out in a pinch more than once. Mick was great at the front desk for a long time and James has been great at filling his shoes. All of he mechanics are top notch. I wish they worked on Toyotas, I would take my truck there too in a heart beat.

I have gone to Carl Duke for the last seven years since I moved to Fort Collins, I bought a used 2004 Volvo C70 in 2010...I have been very hard on my car, using it as a hauling vehicle for rock hounding in the desert, transporting couches, stoves, beds, cabinets etc....It even went through a fire "event" when I ran out of gas, and I parked it on grass to get it off the highway (don't do that, had I read the service manual I would have known not to do that, it's too hot)! Every time I think that "this, is the end" of my car. Carl Duke has proved otherwise. These guys, are brilliant! They will tell you honestly, when a repair is necessary, or not. My Volvo is like the Duracell Energy Bunny with them taking care of it! Thank you Carl Duke for your excellence in service, and integrity!

These guys have done a truly outstanding job every time I have worked with them.Most recently, I brought my wife's 2002 V70 in after her radiator was damaged and started leaking coolant. We dropped the car off around 1pm, without an appointment; thinking it would be there for awhile, I asked if they could replace the transmission fluid as well.They had the radiator replaced, transmission fluid changed, and the car ready to be picked up by 5pm the same day! On top of that their quoted (and billed) price was only about half of what I though the repair would cost me.My Volkswagen is getting close to retirement, and I am seriously considering getting a Volvo just so we can use this shop for my car too. I cannot recommend them enough.

Carl Duke only services Volvo vehicles and he is extremely competent. He is the only person I trust to work on my car in Ft. Collins. He and his son, James, keep up with the latest models and they give me honest advice when I need it.

This is a great place to service your Volvo. They have done a lot of work on my car for a very reasonable price. Management is very friendly and helpful. They only fix what is needed and don't try to add on a bunch of extra costs.

There's been at least one Volvo in the family for close to 20 years, and in all that time I can only ever remember us taking them her for maintenance or repairs. I've always known them to be prompt, professional, and incredibly good at what they do, and we have yet to have to go back to have anything re-done!

For years Carl Duke Volvo has taken care of my family. When I became a single mother of two boys under 5 I was in a desperate situation. I brought my Volvo in for repair. They knew how important it was for me to keep that car driving. They also knew how poor I was. Like family they helped me get by for years. Made it to 350,000 miles with their help and support! These guys are honest family men. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Great place and great customer service! They always know exactly what is wrong with my car and always have the parts to fix it fast. Volvo repair specialists. They even fixed my airbag sensor when it almost deployed while on vacation. In my opinion these guys are great!

Mike and James are great to work with, good at explaining things. They have resealable priced for their parts and services. I m definitely going to use them in the future. I m a DYI guy but when I need a shop to perform work on my or step kids cars they will be working on them for us.Highly recommend AAA+++

They know Volvos! Carl Duke is always able to repair my car around my schedule. I don't think either of my Volvo's has been there longer than a day or two anytime they need work. I had an AWD failure on my S60 due to a bad AOC pump and the first shop I went to (hint it rhymes with babushka) was unable to even identify/acknowledge the problem. My mistake for not bringing it to Carl Duke first. They got it fixed for less then I was expecting.

We took our recently-purchased used Volvo here for maintenance. They did quite a bit of work, including remounting a badly-mounted radiator. After we drove it home, we saw steam/water pouring from the radiator and called the shop. At 5:30 as the shop was closing, they immediately sent a loaner car, brought ours back to the shop, and ran a full diagnostic. It turns out it was a sensor in the radiator that wasn't sensing the heat temperature and so failing to turn on the fan to cool. As a result, the car was overheating. It was one of those gray areas--it could have been that the remounting jostled the sensor loose, or it could have been on the fritz anyway. The shop didn't charge us a dime for the diagnostic or sensor. They just wanted to make it right. I really appreciate a shop that takes responsibility--even for something that might not have been their fault.
