What can I say, perhaps a fantastic, fabulous, unbelievable and strait forward transaction. After searching for over a year my husband finally found the RV of our dreams and a salesman named Aaron at Tarpley RV. Being from California we were skeptical of driving all the way to Colorado to do this transaction, but after several emails and phone calls my husband became comfortable with making a deposit for a 2023 grand design. Still wondering about the dreaded hidden costs, we found that Tarpley does business the old school way and were pleasantly surprised with absolutely no hidden costs. The asking price was the price out the door. The staff was knowledgeable and genuine. A special shoutout to Jerry (mechanic who installed the hitch on our vehicle) what a friendly kind and knowledgeable man! Even Mr Tarpley came out to introduce himself and say thank you to us for choosing them.Thank you, Tarpley RV, for giving us a wonderful and refreshing experience of how an RV sales transaction should be.Alan & Magally Schmidt

You can t ask for a better RV dealership. Their integrity, service, follow-through and pricing is unparalleled. I must name Aaron, Leslie and Megan for their great service and care throughout my experience. I traveled all the way from Phoenix,AZ in order to work with them for my first RV (Grand Design 5th Wheel), and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks to Team Tarpley! You re the best!

This is our second rv from Tarpley. After 13 years decided to get a new one. Aaron and the service staff are fabulous! We got a good deal (trade in) and the walk thru was very thorough. Two campouts and LOVE our Kodiak. No issues. Leslie with service is very helpful and so ready to help/answer questions as needed. Very happy doing business with Tarpley RV.

We recently purchased a 2021 Dutchmen Kodiak Cub Ultralite. We are very happy with our purchase and that was largely in part to the staff at Tarpley. Aaron was awesome! Was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with our buying experience. He greeted us within minutes of our arrival and had a number of campers opened up and ready for us to look at. He gave us our space when we needed so we could make our decision. Financing was super easy and took little time to get approved. Upon arrival to pick up our camper the following week our experience was just as pleasant as when we had first arrived. Cowboy John was our tech that walked us through our camper and showed us how everything works. He was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with us, as we asked through our list of questions. He also made some adjustments to winterize our camper and still had it ready to go in no time at all. I would highly recommend Tarpley for all your camper needs, whether buying or servicing! To add to this review. We made an appt. the following spring to have our camper de-winterized and wheel bearings repacked. Leslie got us in two days earlier than the appt. we had scheduled to accommodate for the upcoming trip we had scheduled. The camper was in for service the next day and ready to pick up soon after. Final bill was quite a bit lower than the estimate we were given and we were very happy about that. There were a few other things checked while in for servicing at no extra charge. Leslie and the service team are awesome and we will definitely be taking our camper there for all of our servicing needs.

This place and its people are a gem. Leslie and John in particular have taken amazing care of me. Im a single mom with an absolute fear of tools, but a mad love for camping. I am CONSTANTLY breaking things I cant fix. Usually immediately before a trip. Everytime I call, Leslie talks me down, squeezes me in and gets me on my way. Everytime I come, John teaches me something I didnt know before, with patience and humor and so much kindness. These two are genuinely good people, and Tarpley has always done right by me. See you all in May for my next round of, "Here are the things I broke, please help!"

Worked with Aaron to purchase a used travel trailer - what an amazing experience! He was flexi on the price, flexi on the timing, gave me some excellent pointers, was willing to work with me if any problems arose, and was just overall awesome. Really excited to grow my relationship with Tarpley RV and work with them again. Can't recommend highly enough!

We purchased our second travel trailer from Laurie. It was a pleasant experience. The staff made the process easy to understand. The walk through was very informative. Now the hard part...Waiting a month or two to go try it out.

We are very pleased with our purchase from Tarpley RV in Durango. We actually didn't really intend to buy another 5th Wheel and truck after purchasing a small motor home, but happened to stop by "just to look". We were already convinced that a Solitude from Grand Design was the high-quality brand that we would buy if we ever did, and the large selection of units at Tarpley gave us lots of ideas. Sarah, our salesperson, was very knowledgeable and patient with us, since it took us several months to decide to actually switch to a 5th Wheel again. We worked with Sarah, Barney & Annie for the sale, trade and final purchase. All three of them were very professional, understanding and helpful. We were then impressed with the manner in which an issue was resolved that we had with a Satellite/TV. John & Chris both went above and beyond to make a modification for us on a Saturday. Everyone we worked with treated us like family making sure we were completely satisfied.

I ve had Justin at Tarpley RV do three upgrades to my custom camper van. Each time he has surpassed my expectations with quality work and a fair price. He is a genius at solar power and always keeps safety and aesthetics in the forefront of his mind when doing a job. I couldn t ask for more.The service desk employees, Chris and Leslie, are incredibly accommodating, helpful, and friendly, too. Durango is a premier outdoor recreational community and we are fortunate to have Tarpley RV here to help keep our RVs and campers on the road to explore this beautiful part of the country.

I was in town visiting family and tagged a fence post, partially pulling off the back rear bumper. I couldn't make the trek back to Oregon that way, so stopped at the first RV place I saw (who I will not name) to see if they could do an emergency repair. They were very reluctant because they were so busy and wanted a $150 emergency fee on top of the repair charge. Called my aunt and she said "Go to Tarpley's, they have always treated us well!" So I went to Tarpley's.They were VERY friendly, helpful and accommodating. I asked them to stitch it back together just enough to get me home - took them a little over an hour and it came back almost 100% fixed! (less the parts they didn't have time to order because I had to get back home) I was happily shocked, and all for a little over $100.Thanks very much Tarpley's!! I wish you had another dealership near me :)(And sorry it took me so long to write this review)

Tarpley RV is a reputable business that has been around for years. We recently bought our second RV from them. We mostly dealt with Tony and Aaron; they are professional and helpful. The parts department employees seemed very friendly also.

The salesman was very helpful at first, they rushed us through and then when we did find the RV we wanted, we went to do the initial paperwork. They had no problem asking for $2000.00 earnest money, went over numbers a few times and we pointed out they didn't seem correct but him & his boss said all was good. Three times we asked. Then the next week they said they couldn't honor the deal, the numbers were not right. We asked what they were going to do to make it right since it was their error. Meet halfway or something and Aaron was rude and ugly and said no &_$#@ way, this conversation is over. Then we called a few days later wanting our money back and the guy again was rude and said I need a cc, gave it to him and after that they ran our credit knowing we weren't moving forward on the deal. We had to dispute the charge because he still, 10 days later didn't refund our cc. I asked when he ran out credit and he said I don't remember and I'll get back to you whenever he had time and hung up on me.Needless to say we will never go back!

The sales staff was super friendly. I however have had a ton of things go wrong with some of the systems with my new purchase. I was told that each used RV goes through a system check list. So far for three times of use , I have had issues!!! I had to purchase a new battery, had no battery power and found a rusty connection that I fixed. First time of use I had a water leak in the shower faucet connections. Still working on that! I also had to replace the tongue jack. It totally slipped as I was lowering it. Would not function after that. Metal chunks were present. Now, this week, radio and TV come on sometimes and other times not. Haven t had time to even address this problem! I have used the RV three separate times and each time I have spent at least $100 on repairs and too much time fixing problems!! Bottom line is that I don t think the RV was gone through with much attention to all working systems. Very disappointed!!!!

Tarpley RV gave me a really awesome deal on a used pop up camper. Barney, my sales guy, also took the time out to help me get the camper loaded up on my car and get the battery charged up. I can't wait until the kids and I take the camper out this weekend for Mother's Day. Thank you again Tarpley RV.

We were passing through and had an issue with our travel trailer. Leslie not only helped us with a technician but also was able to get the part we needed in a timely manner. The customer service was a 10 out of 10 and speaks volumes about their company.

We had a fantastic experience buying a toy hauler today. Andrew was polite, professional, knowledgeable and took care of every question or concern we had. We came to Tarpley RV because shopping local is important to us but they exceeded our expectations in options and value.

This review is long overdue. We are Pagosa Springs residents who purchased a Grand Designs Imagine 2400BH in January of this year. We shopped around, went to Albuquerque and looked around Colorado as well. Tarpley ended up making us a great deal (during this camping-frenzy season) and we were thrilled to purchase locally. Based on our prior camper purchase, buying locally has tremendous benefits, as we would soon realize again. Unfortunately, during our first trip, our slide malfunctioned/broke. We were able to get it in and brought it immediately to Tarpley. For reasons completely out of Tarpley's hands (and in many ways out of Grand Designs hands as well), we were unable to have this fixed for months. Rather than making us wait any longer, they actually took a slide mechanism off another camper and got us out camping fairly quickly! We were both flabbergasted and thrilled that they would do such a thing for their customer. Grand Designs also cut us a check for missed time camping/site reservations/inconvenience. Unfortunately...this mechanism broke again....leaving us and Tarpley quite frustrated. Grand Designs sent a totally new mechanism and Tarpley installed it right away. They clearly focus their repair efforts on their own clients first. It's now working beautifully. Not only that, they also fixed several minor things on the camper and one less minor thing that was our fault for breaking (the break cables), at no cost. They have truly put a lot of effort and time (thank you to Justin, their do-it-all mechanic!!!) into taking care of us and we will forever be their clients because of it. Campers/RVs/trailers often have things go awry (we own a campground, so we've seen this a time or two)..my advice is to purchase a reputable brand (like Grand Designs, who stands behind their product) and buy locally. Tarpley has been outstanding to work with and I would HIGHLY recommend them. Thank you to Aaron, Leslie and Justin for taking great care of us. We are truly grateful.

John Jackson is a knowledgeable person about the rvs and he is only a tech there but he can walk you through all the rvs on the lot. He helped us out. All the salesman had to do is price and paperwork. John should become a salesman or at least get 1/2 the commission. He is the best out there!!!! Tarpley's is a very great place for purchasing and servicing and rv

I have lived in Durango for 20 years and always shop Tarpley for my RV accessories. Today I bought an RV from salesman Bob Price, he was very informative, patient and not pushy. He took the time walking me around the lot, showing me what s available, and ultimately decided on a gently used camper. I was able to negotiate a fair price, and walked away feeling happy with my purchase. I have not received my unit yet, but I am sure Bob and the team will do a great job with detailing and making sure everything works as it should. I look forward to doing business with them again.

We had a great experience buying from Tarpley. We could have bought the same trailer cheaper elsewhere, but we wanted to buy locally and Barney convinced us that we'd receive great service from Tarpley that would make the premium worthwhile. So far service has been great. Robbie spent lots of time walking us through everything we need to know about the trailer. He was patient, thorough and funny. The parts and service people have been very friendly and helpful. We're glad we bought from Tarpley!

We bought our first RV from Tarpley and highly recommend them. The entire staff was a pleasure to work with. They took the time to show us options, teach us the differences and help us find the right coach for our needs. They also did an excellent job installing the 5th wheel hitch in my truck for a fair price.

My buying experience was awesome. I was very happy how Laurie handle everything and getting everything set up for me to do the walk through and pick up of my new Fifth Wheel on a Saturday. The service guy that installed my Fifth Wheel hitch did a great job and the guy that did my walk through did a good job of going over everything on my Fifth Wheel. I am very happy how the sell turned out and very happy with my Solitude. Just a down great buying experience and awesome staff. We had a great experience at Tarpley RV, from beginning to end! Aaron in sales was helpful and responsive, as was John in parts/repairs (in addition to being quite a character!). The retail staff was also so helpful and also Charisse who helped with all of the details of paperwork. We had a lot of questions about our new RV (which is awesome!) and were impressed with everyone's patience and attention to detail in responding to us. We drove from Salt Lake City just to get our new camper from Tarpley's and have no regrets!

Brad was the best non-pushy "salesman" we've ever dealt with. He was very sincere, attentive, and knowledgeable. Brad also kept us informed of what to expect in terms of finances and RV size for our vehicle. Tarpley RV helped us figure out RV connections and got us a great deal. Many of our friends have told us they had a great experience with Tarpley RV as well. I kinda wish I could buy a diesel truck from them :)

We enjoyed our experience at Tarpley. We purchased a 2018 toy hauler. Our salesman did a follow up call that brought us back to Tarpley after looking all over Albuquerque, Farmington and Aztec. We were blessed to be able to share pieces of our testimony of faith with the team at Tarpley. We feel we got a good price and a quality toy hauler. We told the family we upgraded from our tent! They said it was quite an upgrade!

We have owned many RVs over the years so when we decided to make another purchase we really took our time looking at just about every model and floor plan that checked all of our boxes. This process was made extremely easy with the help of Tarpley's sales team. David really helped educate us on the different manufactures as well narrow it down to exactly what we wanted. We've owned our new RV for a little over a month now and we absolutely love it. I would recommend any RV buyer whether first-time or experienced to give Tarpley RV the opportunity to earn your business. You won't be disappointed.
