If we can give them 10 Stars I would. We had a situation where one of our RVs had a misfire on a road trip. Somehow they travelers ended up at another repair shop that was taking advantage of the scenario. We asked our friends in Colorado who they recommend in the Buena Vista area and they suggested Swisher Automotive & Diesel Inc. They understood this was an urgent matter since its on a Rental and took us in. They fixed the issue in no time and very reasonable. I wish they were local to us, I would send them everything. ED is a wonderful person, they don't make honest people like this anymore. Thank you Swisher Automotive

My wife is pulling our travel trailer across the western US. We had to replace a spindle, brakes, hubs in Hays Kansas and the bearing buddies on our dual axle were falling off.Leaving Leadville with trepidation on bearing buddies not staying in place, sounds in the axle post repair and more - My wife was referred to Swisher Automotive to look at the issue. To detail the history of the last 2 weeks of trials with our trailer would take to long, yet I was at my wits end and my wife was beyond frustrated until she stopped at Swisher.Swisher was amazing!!! They looked at all four hubs, remounted the bearing buddy, cleared the clog and released the high elevation pressure with no question of timing and sent my wife on her way with a $0 charge. UNBELIEVABLY GRATEFUL for Swisher. I am thousands of miles away with peace of mind and a grateful heart.

I was from out of town when I experienced a transmission problem while heading home from a yearly RV trip. I was able to get the rv back to the RV park and the truck to Swisher automotive. Ed (owner) did the trouble shooting and found the TCM was bad. Ed bent over backwards to make sure we were ok in our RV park offered to take us to town if we needed anything. No one had this part. Our stay got extended for 2 weeks till the part was found and installed. I was nervous Ed assured me our truck was fixed. 22 hours later in Texas I decided he was right. What a place. A knowledgeable person that actually cares about there customer. Ed has made a friend for life. Thanks again.

Ed is a class act and VERY experienced. I got a flat in my MH just down the road and limped in. Lots of room to park. Got new brakes last year.

I have never had a better experience at an auto shop in my life! Our 4Runner s upper control arm was damaged far into the Huron Peak 4WD road. We brought the vehicle to Ed and he was able to provide expertise and all the tools and equipment (specific nut and washer) we needed to repair the truck in minutes. In and out in 20 minutes. Thank you Ed! The BV community is lucky to have an excellent shop like this!

Ed Swisher has been our go-to mechanic for almost 20 years. He's worked on our cars, diesel truck, backhoe, and motorhome. He is honest and reliable. We would highly recommend using him for all your mechanical needs.

Highly recommend. We were traveling and had an issue with a diesel pickup. Although he was swamped he took the time to help us out and got us back on the road. He didn t jab us just because we were traveling either. I know where I m going if we ever have issues in the future. I had a flat on the inside dual, kinda hard to find roadside repair in Buena Vista...was able to limp my tanker trailer in to the shop, and they immediately went to work on it and fixed it. Treated me very kind.

My RV broke down in the middle of the winter south of BV, I was glad that Swisher did take on this job bc there's just no one else doing this locally. The repair was great but took two months and did cost $4,000. This may be justified due to different reasons of supply chain issues etc. But I was not happy when Swisher charged me $150 credit card fee on my debit card without mentioning this fee to me. My bank got me the $150 back. Thanks!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I was Stranded in BV due to a blown Turbo on my bus And needing to get home to Houston Texas quickly because my 94 year old mother is in poor health. Ed quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and had me out of there within a week!!He is very good, so he is quite busy, but it was time well spent IMHO. I'm almost home and have had zero problems.Thanks Ed & Cindy!!!

This place ED the owner is nothing short of a man sent from God!!! My daughter was traveling alone having car trouble and he helped at an amazing price and as her mother I wanted to say MANY MANY THANKS to him from NORTH CAROLINA!!! She was alone with little money and he did such a remarkable and selfless deed fir my daughter!!! We arrived at out rally in Buena Vista, CO only to discover that we did not have any power to the coach.After discussions with several people including the owner of Snowy Peaks RV, park that our house batteries were spent. It was recommended that we call Swisher, great recommendation. Swisher found us the 4 batteries and was at our site a couple of hours later to install them. It appeared that we also had inverter problems which the tech stayed for about another hour trouble shooting.When we went up to the Swisher office we discovered our tech was Mr Swisher and the lady running the office was his wife. Both were ever so friendly and more than fair in the bill we were presented with.Would highly recommend for reliability, proffessionlism and integrity

I've had my Motor-home serviced by Ed and his guys a couple of times.I believe he is honest and hard working. He is definitely one of the good guys and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs Diesel or Automotive work.

Drove from Florida to Buena vista. Left RV in storage when got back in town drove 15 min out of town and over heated. Bad Radiator and pressure tank on 2001 Monaco RV . Monaco wanted over 7k just for the radiator and 700.00 for the pressure tank. Ed and his staff installed a radiator he found and installed it for 5600.00 including the pressure tank. This repair would have been in the 10k range at a dealer. I was from out of town and had to leave RV there to be repaired. I would very much recommend them for diesel repair as my experience was very good with this organization. Thanks again Ed and your team you truly are good people and we drove 1000 miles this last weekend with no problems. Highly recommended.

I've been using Swisher Diesel for about a year now and always get great service, but the thing that I like most is Ed's honesty. I know when I take my vehicle to him that he's going to tell me exactly what's going on and what he recommends to do with it. It's nice to finally have a truly honest mechanic who is an expert in what he does.

Ed , The owner , is a very experienced mechanic and is highly respected as being one of our best, here in Chaffee County. I believe He has storage areas for parking your rigs or trailers or RV's, that are close to town, and a very well planned entrance and exit , placed at two sides of the building ,for easy entrance and exiting. A man you can trust to get the job done right.

Our unfortunate luck of breaking down in Buena Vista turned out to be fortunate for two reasons...Ed and the beautiful town of Buena Vista. Having vehicle issues over the 4th of July holiday was bad timing but Ed did what he could to help us enjoy our stay. From letting us use his loaner vehicle to go white water rafting to recommending local attractions to check out. Overall the experience was as good as it could get.

Truck wouldn't start so I towed it in to Swisher. After a week they told me it was fixed for $267, and I picked it up and drove to the grocery store. Less than an hour after picking it up it wouldn't start again, leaving me stranded with groceries. I towed it back into Swisher and they kept it for another week, and charged me another $526. I asked them to consider the original costs since it was not fixed the first time, but they told me it was separate incidents since it started and I drove it away (for an hour). The owner also told me to "go back to wherever it was I moved from" and ask my old mechanic about my truck issues. I wouldn't say this shop stands behind their work.

Our friends had an issue with their transfer case and after driving 25mph for a few miles stopped at Swisher. The guys at Swisher stopped what they were doing and were able to get the transfer case out of 4Low for them to drive home to Colorado Springs at highway speed. A BIG thank you to the guys at Swisher...!

Ed is the best mechanic and man I've met in quite a few years. Would highly recommend his expertise in any automotive or diesel vehicles you need work completed on.

They did a good job but they told me they would get me in in the morning and they didn t get me in until late afternoon. I supplied the part and it was my he wrong one so I had to pay for 2 hrs. Labor but did not get my motor home repaired.

Great shop! Had a bad interstate battery, they went beyond making sure I was taken care of even with Interstate being closed and unable to confirm warranty!

DO NOT USE! Worst place in the area to take a vehicle. Avoided communication, avoided the work (for 9 months), and was not helpful nor kind during any part. THEY NEVER FIXED IT!
