I was showing property on a Sunday afternoon at a higher elevation property just after a snowstorm. My clients truck got stuck near the edge of a drop off and didn t feel comfortable trying to get out themselves. We called Gunsmoke and they immediately sent out Tony to help us. Tony was very competent in both getting the truck out and then helping my client maneuver their truck on the icy/snowy road. He was patient, calm and very professional.I highly recommend Gunsmoke when you re in need of a tow.

I had a great experience with gunsmoke towing. My husband s truck broke down on cottonwood pass. I called gunsmoke spoke with Julie who was polite and professional, and helped me feel comfortable. I was in a city I didn t know and was nervous to get in a tow truck to take the long ride up the pass again. She told me Shawn would be able to help. He picked me up within 10 minutes. Shawn was great and helpful, had a nice conversation. Safely made it over the pass He hooked up the truck, and brought the truck all the way to Denver. Even helped my husband back in the camper.

My experience was with one of the driver's this evening. They almost ran me off the road with my four year old daughter in the truck. When I called to handle it with the company directly, Julie was as unprofessional as they come, completely dismissing my concerns. First, she hung up on me and when I called back, she informed me that she would text her driver to slow down. Then she hung up on me again. They were reported to Colorado State Patrol for aggressive driving. Also, to the Better Business Bureau for Julie, the co-owner, and her complete lack of concern for community safety. An investigation is open.

Julie and Mick are true saviors! Little ice induced ditch incident up the mountain from Buena Vista. Fortunately had limited cell service. Gunsmoke to the rescue! Julie stayed in touch and Mick arrived within the hour and pulled us out. Gave us an on the spot discount when he found out my son was accepted at the USAFA. Call Gunsmoke for all your Buena Vista and surrounds towing needs!

I cannot say enough great things about Gunsmoke towing! We got stuck on the way to crested butte along with several other vehicles, and all day and into the evening, Gunsmoke crews were going up and down the mountain pulling stuck vehicles aside to safety and sending tow trucks to rescue. They didn t stop until every car was off of the mountain. Ian was great and towed us to safety until we could drive our vehicle again. Thank you Gunsmoke Towing!Service: Car towing

Our battery died while we were out at Eleven Mile Reservoir. We had a cheap battery pack that was SUPPOSED to work in this situation, but to no avail, so we hit the OnStar and they connected us with Gunsmoke. In no time flat, Shawn was out there to jump our car. Not only was he quick as a whistle, but also recommended a high quality battery pack that we ended up purchasing and using the very next weekend when we got waived down by a gal who's battery died. Only a seven day turn around for a fine example of good karma! Thank Shawn and Gunsmoke for not only taking care of us, but helping us to help other folks! Much appreciated!

Julia ,who answered my call.Was very rude I explained the job I needed done, she then continued to speak over me ,very unprofessional. Then hung up on me. She added it will take 3 hours to do a 30 min job. If it takes that long to push a button up and down there's a problem She wanted to charge me 400 a hr. Stating her driver came by and said it would take 3 hours and for a 30 min job might I add, I was right across the street from them.I called Royal Tru to do the job took him 2 hours to get to me ,for a 27 min job but he was professional and listened . I would not trust Gunsmoke to perform any job for me. Definitely call someone eles...

Gunsmoke towing saved us. After calling my insurance company to try to get roadside for about 12 hours. I was able to call gunsmoke and they were up to the spot so quickly. Followed us back into town to make sure our car was running okay. Efficient and kind humans!!

I could type for a long time trying to adequately express my appreciation for the level of professionalism that I received from Gunsmoke Towing. When I was in need, they were swamped with calls, however they juggled them well and was able to get to me very quickly. They also offered not only speedy towing, but also excellent guidance to find a repair shop to help with my situation. I was broke-down in a small town on the weekend when everything is closed. However, Julie listened to the details my predicament, and offered to message one of the closed repair shops, and was able to get clearance to tow my vehicle and drop it off to have repairs started the following Monday.When you are far from home, and in a tight spot, that level of kindness is not only rare, but appreciated and stress-relieving.My Sincere Thanks to Julie and her Team!

The receptionist whom I spoke to was very knowledgable, listened to my issues and concerns, advised me compassionately, and promptly began the process. The wrecker driver/owner and employee promptly and carefully loaded my truck and attached my vintage trailer checking everything to insure a safe 127 mile ride through the mountains of Colorado. They were extremely competent and provided me with excellent customer service in a trying time during my vacation.Services: Special vehicle towing, Long distance hauling

These guys were extremely professional! Hauled our van to a shop and brought another vehicle to haul passengers. Then waited around and gave us a ride to our hotel. Our camper came unhitched on HWY 24 and Gunsmoke came out to haul the camper for us. When they got there the camper was still towable so he helped us get it connected again instead and sent us on our way! So kind and helpful! The service we received was truly above and beyond. We were broken down just inside a campground. Darrel provided a temporary fix to get us to our campsite. He returned the next day with parts and performed a mechanical fix on our trailer. He worked all this in around his already very full day

Used them twice in the same day. Once for a ten mile tow to Salida, then later in the day from Salida to Pueblo. Both drivers were friendly and helpful, as was the office staff.

Julie and Mick are incredible. We lost our car key on the trail while backpacking, and after we hitchhiked into town, Julie gave us a ride back in, unlocked the car so we could get the hard key out, and took the time to help us troubleshoot when we found out the hard key couldn t be used to start the vehicle without the fob (which we had lost on the trail). She studied the car manual with us, gave us a ride into town, made us feel at home in her truck, talked through options with us, gave us numbers to call, and dropped us off at a motel so we could try to catch a cab the next morning. When we forgot our apartment keys in the truck, Mick dropped them off for us the next morning. They went above and beyond for us. They know the business, they know the town, and they re very friendly and hospitable throughout. We can t thank you enough for helping us out! Highly recommend.Service: Car lockouts

We needed a tow very unexpectedly on a Saturday. Gunsmoke Towing answered their phone right away and discussed with us if we needed a tow or a jump. We really appreciated their service and only had to wait a short time for the tow. Luckily, we live in Salida and weren t too far from home when we needed the tow. We felt lucky we could get home without too much extra delay. Very professional and prompt. I would definitely call them again in the event we need a tow. Thank you Gunsmoke Towing!

First off called a couple other tow companies and were unwilling to help. I had my truck stuck in some mud at taylor reservoir. They responded quickly and were out at my truck within an hour and a half. The driver was amazing and so was Julie. If you need a tow or recovery like I did I don't think you can go wrong with this company.

Due to unbounded enthusiasm overcoming good sense, I got my Outback stuck in snow on a road that is scenic and enjoyable most times of the year. I was able to make contact with my wife who then called Gunsmoke Towing to advise them of my predicament. It was just before sunset at 8400 ft, that I saw the headlights of the muscular tow truck making tracks towards me. Darrell and Garrett wasted little time in pulling me out of a situation that might have ended in a cold night huddled in my vehicle. Mick is amazing and one of the most generous strangers I have ever met. He turned an absolutely terrible and scary experience near Buena Vista (a faulty job by a tire shop resulted in our wheel literally flying off our car while driving 70 on the highway and we narrowly missed a very bad accident) into a much better one. He not only helped us after being stranded for 2 hours on the highway after our insurance company couldn t help us at all and took an hour to tell us they couldnt find a tow company; he went out of his way to help accommodate and get us back on his way however he could while he worked on our car - well beyond anything I would ever expect someone to professionally be obligated to do. He also left his house after hours and came and got us at about 10 pm and didn t even blink. Could not have been more gracious, professional, or kind. He made our terrible awful horrible and no-good day a much better one and is taking such great care of our car - and of us!

My wife called about 9 am. Talked to Julie . We told her our jeep location . She said I know exactly where that is located. No problems we will get a truck out at 11 am. I call since we never herd back from them and I was told they were busy and could not get out untill now. I then gave them my card info. And home phone number agin for contact. Only for a call to come in when my wife was working saying they would not go on the call. Several hours after they said they already left. There charging me 250 a hour I agreed. To the price after my wife called me to say they just called and said they were not going. I call back to ask why they just spoke to me took my payment info and would not help. Julie daughter answers the phone. I can here her and her mom arguing then the girl proceeds to give me her mom's cell number and asked me to call her. The whole time we thought they had already left to get the jeep. Witch is sitting on a county Rd less rough then going to cotton wood lakes. Not only did she insult me by saying I doubt you can afford three grand for a tow. I laugh that's only the cost of three of my fly rods. These people conducted them self's to be high on drugs. This is the most unprofessional business I ever had the displeasure of speaking with. They wasted a whole day of mine I could have used to get my Jeep out else where. Excatly what is going on now. They did not want 3500 plus for a tow. Lol must be right to work. Enjoy your Biden handouts

Julie and BR could not have been more wonderful in such an annoying situation. We were stuck in Johnson Village with a blown motor and wanted to make it back to Boulder. Not only did they give us several options on what we could do, including giving us local numbers to have our vehicle serviced/sold, but we ended up getting towed back home with great conversation.Their number will forever be in my phone since we frequent the area for these just in case situations. Extremely friendly, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. I got stuck deep in some snow in a hard time reach place and they had an off-road wrecker ready to come and get me.They were very friendly and considerate, and also very punctual. Highly recommend!

I like to refer to this business as Gunsmoke Towing & Marriage Counceling services. Mick was punctual, professional, and prevented lots of "I told you so's," and "what the heck were you thinking," and "how did you even manage to do that?!" arguments!! Extra appreciated since we needed his assistance on valentines day! Thanks for the help Mick, I hope my husband learned his lesson and listens to me from now on...but odds are good I'll need to call you again! I ended the day with flowers, so it wasn't all bad!Service: Car towing

Gunsmoke came to the rescue. We were on a family camping trip near BV, our tow vehicle broke down on the way out of the camping area on a Sunday afternoon, we called and they showed up in 15 minutes to our location on a dirt road. After wrestling with a few hookup issues (they went back to the shop twice for us), they put our tow vehicle on the flatbed, and hooked up our toy hauler (fully loaded) to the tow truck, we rode in the cab with Allen (great guy) and they towed us all the way back to Parker, CO. Would I use them again?? Hopefully won't have to. But now I know who I'll be calling if I ever need an extraction!Thanks guys!

Gunsmoke Towing got us out of a bind! They towed our broken down camper out of the back country and back to near Denver to be repaired. They were so nice and helpful and did it for a reasonable price despite being swamped with calls from other people needing help. Very professional, friendly, accommodating and quick! Tow truck was literally there within 5 minutes! We had to unload our truck, and since we were on vacation, it was packed! Even though crashing my RV was a bad experience, Mick who owns Gunsmoke Towing made it easy and pleasant. I have never met kinder more compassionate and pleasan and caring people as Mick and his lovely wife Julie. I would recommend this company to anyone!! They were so fair and helpful. Which is more than what I can say about their competitor Alpine Towing. Alpine was rude and inconsiderate and try to squeeze me for money. Leave all your Towing needs to Gunsmoke Towing.....
