We had a bad flat pretty close to this shop. After AAA let us down, I called and Rado immediately drove out to help us get to the shop. They got the spare on for me, ordered a new tire and it was all completed by the next day. Affordable, hard working and honest!

I love vail auto. They are the best in the valley. Pricing is amazing compared to other shops. They care about the customers & it shows. They are always willing to help in whatever way they can. They are fully booked & busy always. That s how you really know they are good too. Rado & Nick are such hard workers. Always busy & working. They will fix or add anything they can to your car if you want to update it etc or just get it fixed. Highly highly recommend.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C replacement, Brakes, Oil change

I can't say enough good things about this place. First, I got brakes done with these guys based on their excellent google reviews, and I was not disappointed. Excellent job all around. I came back a few days ago for a tire replacement, and on my short notice they were able to order the tires within two days and replace them in a jiffy, all before my road trip coming up on Monday. Not only does the service here go above and beyond any auto shop in the surrounding area, it's also better than any other place I've ever gone. Thanks again!Edit 10.17.23: 6 years later Rado and his crew are still providing exceptional and honest service! I won't take my car anywhere else. Thanks guys!

The guys are really amazing. Got us better snow tires for a great price and even stayed open late to get them on for us. Everyone is extremely professional and polite. If you live anywhere in the valley and need anything for your car go here.

Highly recommend this shop. The owner is very hard working and very trustworthy. My grand Cherokee had a radiator hose leak and I showed up out of the blue and they took me right away even though they were busy. They replaced the hose and even added a little piece for free that helped it stay in place. Also took my car for an oil change on a separate occasion and he gave me a great, fair price for 7 quarts of Amsoil oil. One of the greatest mechanics in the valley.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

This place is the absolute best (especially Rado). Incredible customer service, fair pricing, professional... they exceeded my expectations. I stopped in Avon on a Sunday on my way back home to the front range and my car wouldn't start. Monday morning, I called all the mechanics in the area and they were all booked for days. I was semi-desperate to have my car looked at, and maybe sensing my anxiety, Rado generously squeezed me in. I tried to tip extra and he flatly rejected it. I don't feel like typing out all the details, but long story short, this company had me by the ovaries and could have over-charged me, made me wait days, or not help me at all. Instead, they provided extremely good, much-needed repair work at a fair price and with a quick turnaround. I got back to the front range without problems, and my regular mechanic took care of the less-urgent fixes. He checked out their work and was impressed. again, I highly recommend Vail auto repair.

These guys are some of the best!! Rado and his team are very helpful. They made my transmission rebuild less of a nightmare than I thought it would be. I will be recommending this business to friends! And you too if you're in the Vail valley!

The best in the business. I heard about Vail Auto Repair via google reviews and through my roommates.If you are looking to get any type of repair, or maybe you just need new tires- Nick and Rado will treat you like family and will provide the most phenomenal car service you ve ever experienced. Their willingness to help paired with their professionalism and honesty prove that they are the top auto shop here in the Valley. They are open until 8pm and work extra hard to provide you with professional service in a timely manner.Thank you so much for all the help and great work. You have yet another loyal customer!!!

This is the greatest auto repair shop in the area. Super reliable, and incredibly honest. So many times I'll get a quote somewhere, and take it here, and their price will be half or less. They are happy to answer any questions and explain any issues and how urgent they are. I bring all my vehicles, as well as all my companies vehicles here, and I'll never go anywhere else. It's also nice to support a local shop, Nick and Rado are great local guys and it really shows that they care.

Rado was very honest, professional and timely. He performed a diagnostic on my brakes at the end of the day on Friday. He took pictures to show me exactly what was wrong with my car and gave a very fair price estimate for the work to be done. He is an honest mechanic and I highly recommend his shop. My work is scheduled for the future so it hasn t been done yet but I have faith he will do a good job.Service: Brakes

Used this shop for the first time, and was blown away with the honesty, quality work and quick turn around. Rado is the best in the Valley. Our brakes started shaking out of control as we made our way into Vail. Dropped off our car in the morning the next day, and Rado had new brake rotors and pads by the afternoon. My wife is so relieved and so am I! Very reasonable prices too!

I brought my 2500hd in for an alignment because my new tires were wearing unevenly. They said that they couldn't align because I had ball joint, tie rod end and pitman arm issues. They provided me a quote that I thought was reasonable and scheduled the work for the next week. I brought my truck back for the work and now it drives like it did when it was new in 2015. I am very happy! Thanks guys.

Rado is awesome. I went for an issue I was having on the recommendation of a coworker and I definitely trust him. Also got my car serviced with them. Good place.

Stopped in to inquire about tires. They answered all of my questions and provided an estimate hundreds of dollars less than where I have purchased tires previously. Tires arrived in one day, I made an appointment and they had them on the car in about an hour. Such nice people to do business with.Service: TiresService: Tires

Fairly small organization, but great service. They got my snow tires faster than anyone else could; they were open on Saturday when I needed them; and they were happy to hold my all-weather tires until I could get back. They were also highly recommended by other locals

Nick and Rado are my go-to mechanics! They do great work at very fair prices. I've personally had my Subaru outback head gaskets and clutch removed and replaced with them many 10s of thousands of miles ago now and my car still runs like a top with no issues! 100% would recommend, they're the most honest and respectable mechanics I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with! Thanks guys!

Great customer service! Rado went out of his way to give me a ride to and from a job interview I was in Vail for! He provided honest feedback on my vehicle issue and recommendations. My issue may be covered under a manufacturer warranty so I appreciate being given that information vs. him trying to force me to fix the issue with them on the spot. Great shop to work with! Absolutely recommend! Thank you for all your help today!

The wait to get service is always about a week, quotes are high now. The one in charge use to be kind and attentive when shop started, now days is totally different I recommend many people before but services did decline and owner did change. This was the only shop I use to feel trust and only shop that I use to recommend, but is better to drive to Denver where there's multiple shops and owner never declined in quality of services.

One of the best mechanics I've been to! My Jeep broke down in Vail and I had it towed here. Even without a heads up they had it diagnosed and fixed in less than 2 hours. The alternator is what went out and I was charged a very reasonable price to get it repaired. I was very impressed with the speed and quality of service and if I ever break down in the area again I'll be sure to head here first!

Highly recommend this place. It s hard to find a place you can trust who know what they re doing, not trying to nickel and dime you. Esp here in the valley where everyone wants to overcharge. This place is a gem.

Maybe the best auto repair experience I have ever had. Part time resident of the Vail Valley, but honestly would consider waiting until I got to town to have repairs after my experience with Nick at Vail Auto Repair. Brought my Ford Explorer in for service, hoping somehow to get it completed same day. Ended up driving my repaired vehicle away just 30 minutes later. Excellent service at a very fair price. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Thanks Nick!!!

I wish I would of come to you guys earlier. 6 stars worthy. Definitely found my new mechanic and will not be going anywhere else! Rado is a great guy and knows what he is doing. Very professional and even offered to drive me home and pick me up when my car was ready. Thanks for making the year round locals feel good about leaving my car in your hands.

I have been going here for years. Rado and Nick are the best car mechanics out there. I moved to Denver and travel all the way back to Vail to get my car serviced here. Rado is so honest and fair with prices and he takes the time to explain anything that you want to ask him. Everyone who works here is very educated on cars and parts. Amazing work and amazing quality. You will not regret taking your car to Vail Auto Repair!

Nick and Rado have been serving our Jeep and Mini for many years!It is high time that people know how good they are. I just recently moved to the valley and was in need of an oil change and tire rotation since my dealership was no where near where I was at. Due to the ugly weather conditions, me having such a horrible day, and them having a busy Monday, Rado and Nick was able to squeeze me in that same day without an appointment. As my car was being serviced, they found a nail in one of my tires. They patched it up for me this one time at no cost. Now that is "great customer service"! They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and very professional. I would definitely come back to Vail Auto Repair in the future. Thanks again Rado and Nick for taking great care of me when I needed it! You guys are awesome!

Vail Auto Repair offers fast friendly service. I had some snow tires I bought at Tirerack mounted there and my experience was excellent. The tires are perfect balanced and my old tires were bagged and already in the car when I went to pick it up. Cannot beat the value and service

We were here from out of town and had a problem with our brake light on our 2008 Toyota 4Runner. They took us right in and diagnosed that we needed a new taillight assembly but were able to fix it temporarily and it has been working for nearly 2 months with no issues!!! I would highly recommend them as an honest, trustworthy shop to do business with whether you're local or from out of town they will treat you with honesty, respect and are truly the rare exception of an honest mechanic shop!
