Check out this awesome spot I found! The owner's super chill and has a way of making car talk easy to get. My ride had some issues, and they sorted it out fast, not once but twice! They're always on point with updates, making you feel like you're their top priority. If your car's acting up, especially with transmission stuff, this is the place to go. It's like the go-to garage for anyone wanting quick fixes without the hassle. Trust me, your car will thank you!

I would not give a single star!!!!!! They voided my extended warranty because they took the transmission out of the vehicle before the warranty company could assess my car. Then for 3 weeks lied, made excuses, and tried blaming the warranty company and wanted to charge me for repairs! I believe they made the error make it right???Don t even get me started on the lack of communication, Mark will not call you back, I finally reached out to corporate.I am now waiting for them to put my transmission back into my car ( which should not have been removed) so I can have it towed to another shop. I have retained a lawyer and will be suing AAMCO .Do not go to that AAMCO

I would give AAMCO Aurora 3-4 stars. Had my transmission replaced here. Past few months was hell and the previous manager was the worst. Took my car back last week AGAIN (3x) for leaks. Experience was 100% better. The new manager Ray was very friendly and professional. Assured me my car would be fIxed and apologized for the problems I had in the past. So far everything is working fine and no leaks. Would recommend talking to only Ray if you take your car here.

Do not take your car here. I m glad that they were able to help some people but they completely and entirely screwed me.Cost me $6,000, they didn t fix my car (I found out from the Nissan dealership) and the owner refuses to acknowledge the situation or deal with me directly as he knows it. I ve called, I ve walked up to their business, even Nissan has tried to talk to them and they refuse to accept their fault in this. They ve had my car for 10weeks now, I m in the US Army and can t make my drills, I haven t been able to make some of my in person classes as I m a student. They have entirely wrecked my financial situation and are taking zero accountability.Don t trust them.

Had to swing by a couple of times with my car, and they were spot on with the fix every time. They keep you updated like a friend would, no tech jargon or runarounds. Looking for a no-fuss, reliable spot for your transmission or anything car-related? This place is it. Quick, straightforward, and you leave feeling like you ve got car gurus in your corner. Definitely the spot to hit up!

Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about what was needed. The pricing was not jaw dropping like other places; reasonable parts and labor prices. I was kept up to date regularly on progress and when to pick it up.

Worst experience I have had with an auto shop. Communication horrible, no one ever calls you back! Quoted MAX price and it doubled after the transmission was removed, I felt trapped. The workmanship is horrible, missing mounting bolt, wires and hose clips not secure. Broken heater coolant line fixed with a clamp that appears to be leaking and was told it would be replaced. I picked up the truck and the heater now doesn't work. The turbo is making a whining noise, and I was told it needs the turbo replaced, would I like a quote for it. This wasn't brought up during the supposed diagnostic, nor the supposed test drive to make sure all is well.WARRING DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!!Will post what transpires with AAMCO customer service.

They failed to fix the root issue the 1st time around which leads me to believe I was ripped off in some way, whether it was a misdiagnosis or something else like overcharging or bait and swap, I will never truly know. $7,000 & 250 miles on the odometer later, I had to go back into the shop and explain the issue wasn t fixed. 2nd time around they accepted responsibility and I didn t have to pay for the repairs they missed, however it took very long to get my car back and had an endless runaround on trying to get an update on when it would be finished. Received the car back about 3 months later and it s running good but there are new significant dents and scratches. The waiver you sign states they aren t responsible for body damages. Thats a bummer because my car got banged up pretty good. I imagine they parked it extremely close to other vehicles in what seems to be a junk yard of cars on a 2 acre lot. On a positive note I will add that the new guy Ray was very pleasant to deal with. The guy before him, not so much.

What a great shop! I have found my transmission mechanics! Jerry and his crew did a fantastic job on my car. The wait wasn't long, and the cost was reasonable. I will be going back. Highly recommended.

This is the worst mechanic shop I have ever used. My vehicle had to go there twice. 1st time they keep it for about two months. Then it broke down again around April 2023 and had to go back again. It's almost 2024 and I still don't have my vehicle that I'm still making payments on. I do not recommend this place at all. They also have poor communication skills. I have called and went up there many times and I get the same answers. If anyone reads this and can help me out please let me know what I need to do. Also just because I am a female I am not unaware of what is going on. And I do know about cars and it shouldn't take this long for a vehicle to be fixed. Please do not take your vehicles here.

Where do i even start with this place.I mean took 8 weeks to get the trans replaced.Multiple misshaps, ignored us constantly owner of the shop joe needs to smoke some weed,i get running a shop is stressful but look what happend to your employee count,NOW FOR THe NAIL IN THe COFFIN. They left the transmission drain bolt not even hand tight.Guess what that means we lost over a quart of dct atf fluid and if i had not have caught that it would have destroyed the new transmission and even possibly caught the car on fire...huge mistake that could of been so easily spotted idk who was responsible for that. You know who you are buddy and so do i all i ask is that you do your due diligence as someone who also works in the same industry that will get you fired fast.7k on a transmission just for them to leave the drain bolt lose and ruin it.Now im not saying things cant get turned around there are some good people there.Just if your going to go through ammco go to the northglen shop. You will probably have your car done sooner.Pics of all the leakage of the automatic transmission fluidvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

This is the ABSOLUTE worst place I've ever taken my vehicle too. They had my car since May and I just finally got it back in October. The 1st month I just got told lie after lie saying they were waiting on my warranty to respond so I decided to call my warranty to see what the hold up was and come to find out the shop hadn't even tried to reach out to them. Finally after 2 months and a complaint to the main office it finally seemed the ball was rolling and they were on track to fixing my transmission. Nope was absolutely wrong. One guy would tell me oh we just received the transmission today but then when I called a week later to check on my car because also they won't reach out to you at all about your vehicle and then it would be oh we are waiting on the transmission. Okay now I'm confused because it was received last week from what someone else told me and then each guy I'd talk to they would just say we'll I'm not sure who you talked to last but that wasn't right. Like seriously how hard is it to communicate with each other and write notes? My favorite is when I finally got the call my car was ready after almost 6 months I went to go pick it up and magically no one told me I had a $1700 bill due. I don't have any issue paying a balance that's due my issue is again NOT COMMUNICATING!! That's not a small amount to assume people just automatically have. Luckily I had the money to be able to pay it and get my car but $1700 should definitely brought up when you tell someone their car is ready. This place shouldn't be open. After putting in 2 complaints and waiting 6 months at least I have my car back. Save yourself the time money and anger and take your business else where.Service: Transmission

NEVER GO HERE. Have had our truck for 4 months and not fixed but we are out $7,000. We are going to go legal to force them to release the truck and take it elsewhere and sue for our money back. The manager hides in the back and they tell us he is not in but will call us in an hour and never calls. We go there weekly and manager is never there..supposedly his name is Joe Lewis. Total joke of a repair facility. Not the AAMCO that used to be know for great transmission service.

Probably the worst experience I've ever had at an auto shop. First they had my vehicle for a week and didn't call me once. I had to call the shop 4 times to get information on my car. When I did finally reach someone they basically gave me the same diagnosis that I pulled off myself using a OBDII scanner I bought off Amazon for $80 using their "advanced" diagnostic scan they took a week to do. I was still charged $300 for this test even though they told me they would need another week to troubleshoot. What's bad is the day I dropped my car off another customer told me while walking out not to trust them and I wish I took their advice. Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere that uses professional business practices.

Great call customer service, Jerry, the manager, was great and amicable. Busy shop though so be prepared, and getting them on the phone can be a challenge, but they're honest and do good work!

Very bad experience! DO NOT GO THERE!They kept my car for 3 days and told me that I need to change the turbo and it should cost me around $4000 or more. They wanted to fix my car without any estimation/ document. They don't call to give any update during the 3 days they kept my car.I called everyday. After 3 days, I just pick up my car and go to another garage which gave me a detailed diagnostic and estimation. When you have to pay $4000 or more, the least that a garage should provide is a clear information.

Brought my car here because they advertised financing, and I thought I might end up using it. They offered a quote to basically look the car over for light repairs, and conduct the repairs once they re found. They fixed electrical signaling related to splices near the radiator, made the rpm at 40 mph look less odd. The important thing to me is that they gave the recommendation that they re supposed to give, instead of the recommendation that they want to give.

I brought my truck to replace the transmission and fix the transfer case. It took longer than expected, but that's okay because they put it in the right. My engine light came on right after I left the shop, I called and asked them what was up. They took a look at it and said my oxygen sensor wire was sliced. They didn't have to, but they took responsibility for it and replaced it for free. Not a lot of owners would do that.Service: Transmission

Had my transmission replaced at a fair price and all the comparison pricing I did. Transmission has been doing what it's supposed to do without taking it back have driven it for almost a year now since being replaced and have not heard any issues that I can identify. Just want to give my shout out for a job well done.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Awkward location, on the pricey side.Good warranty promise. Customer service is great. Technicians know their stuff. I just spent a good chunk of change on a replacement transmission for an older vehicle. I made the decision based on the advice provided at the shop. I have a good feeling I'll get the mileage the cost of the repair was worth because of that advice.
