Quick, courteous and respectful I never get any of my star smog certification anywhere else. I've been using these guys for about 15 years I never had a problem and local to the DMV FYI.

Relatively new to the area so I feel lucky to find this gem!Service was speedy, professional, thorough, and extremely helpful!Dan was amazing. Not only did he help with my smog check, he also went above and beyond with giving me additional information that was super helpful to hear!Definitely will recommend to others! I was in and out with Smog check done and passed within 30 minutes! Maybe even 15.Highly recommend.Service: Smog certification

Went in for a smog check for a vehicle that was gifted to me from my family in Oregon so that I can change the title to me. It passed the emissions test but he failed the visual inspection because the catalytic converter wasn t approved by the state of a California. Wish he checked that first and then called or asked if I wanted to go further before I had to shell out another $71 and purchase a replacement catalytic converter. Bummer

Very trustworthy. Accommodating, stress free, in and out quickly, and very professional service. Mark the owner inspects as well. Polite conversation as he runs the test and you are in and out before you know it. Very reasonably priced. Only smog inspection so no incentive or hidden agenda to charge exuberant amounts of money on repairs. It is pass or fail depending on your own maintenance and condition of your car. Was a pleasure doing business with them. Same review I posted 6 years ago. Still the same!

I showed up without an appointment, Mark was really friendly and helpful, and the price was more than fair. The job was fast and passed! I will be coming back again with all of my smog check needs... also, the place is in an auto mall of repair and service places, so if needed, every kind of service that might be needed is very close by. Jamie was very knowledgeable and professional. Helped me clear up some confussion with my car and got me smoged and out the door with a great price in no time! He spoke highly of his shop and the owner Mike who's been in bussines for over 20 years. I will definitely be coming back and refering my friends.

Eric is amazing, my car passed smog but he found a vacuum line that was changed out with a subpar quality line and was collapsed. I was able to change out the hose for an open replacement and keep the car running problem free.

Only thing I can say is that I called before I went in and was told only one person was ahead of me so I come in and wait thinking I'm next. Then 20 minutes later some guy comes in saying he has a 9:30 appointment. Ok, i understand it was 9:27. But what really pissed me off is that the guy testing didnt even have the decency to tell me I would have to wait longer than I anticipated. Instead of that 1 person ahead of me it was now 2. You should of told me immediately when the 930 appointment came in not when you were finished with the car I thought I was after.... and an "I'm sorry for not checking the appointment books when you called or came in" would of sufficed . Communicate better with your customers, Daniel.

They took appointment time which gave me priority over walk-ins. However, with the pandemic in full swing, the room to go to the counter is extremely small, lacks ventilation, and allows people to wait inside in close quarters without social distancing.

I had a morning appointment on January 9, 2019 with Jaime for a Smog Test Check on my 1995 Honda Civic. I was charged $70.00 the regular price on my 1995 Honda Civic car. Older cars have to go through a more rigorous procedure than new cars that are the year 2000 and above.It took about (20 minutes) for the smog test check to be completed. Jamie was very professional and friendly.Jamie also noticed an issue I was having with my car. Jaime told me that my car idles when he tested my car and ran my car for a while at a higher rate of speed on the rpm's. Jaime has some (mechanical experience) with cars he told me.Jaime also told me that I need to take my car into an (automotive repair shop) as soon as possible and get an (Diagnostic Check) to resolve the (rough idle) on my Honda Civic Car. Jaime told me that I will have to make my own decision on which (automotive repair shop) I want to call and make an appointment with to fix my (rough idling issue) on my car at the Emerald Automotive Service Center.My car passed the smog test again and I have been taking my car to Tri-City Smog for 10 years. I highly recommend Tri-City Smog.

I just moved to California from NY and needed a smog to register my car here. I called to find out about pricing which was $60 out the door for my 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. Sean was very nice and I would highly recommend this place! Took about 15 minutes
