AMAZING service and great pricing. I was getting my tires installed at Next Level Tires and noticed I needed my brakes done & they recommended I go to B&D Auto across the way. I met Doug and told him I had to drive to LA in the morning for my son s basketball tournament but my brakes are grinding. He told me the shop was really busy but he would fit me in because my brakes were a safety issue and I shouldn t drive. I left my Volvo XC90 with him and took an Uber home. The shop called me a few hours later and told me the car was ready & brakes and rotors have been installed. The car feels great now! I highly recommend B&D Auto, it ll be my new spot for all my car repairs. Their service is PROFESSIONAL & TOP NOTCH!

Excellent customer service. They ran a complete diagnostic test and let me know what was good and what needed work. I went in for a brake repair and the price was better than other estimates. They made me feel really comfortable about being there. I would highly recommend them.

My car has been quite the challenge of late. The last couple of months my check engine light kept coming on. Ryan and Doug were on it!! They understand my current situation and diligently and patiently checked it out and would fix it. We have been customers since they opened and I wouldn't consider any other business to fix our vehicles. Thank you B and D!!

I don't even know where to begin..... I called 6 different shops to see who had the cheapest price to repair a blown head gasket, and B&D had the lowest price. When my car was at the shop I got full transparency from the techs, and updates on what was going on with my vehicle. After the inspection they determined that the head gasket was blown and there was also a leak coming from the water pump. They said they would repair the water pump for no additional cost due to how much I was already spending to get my car fixed. When I got the call that my car was done, Ryan explained to me that there was a misfire code popping up and that they also had to replace a spark plug coil to determine if that was the issue. He asked if I would like to keep the coil in the vehicle for an additional fee and unfortunately I couldn't afford it. When I got to the shop to pick my car up, Ryan told me that he left the coil in there and he won't charge me..... I was blown away. They said that they understood my situation and that they just want the vehicle to run. This is customer service at it's finest. These people know how to run a business and truly care for their customers. I will not take my vehicle to another shop in this area. I have never seen such a professional environment from any other automotive shop in the country. Ryan did fantastic work. Take your vehicle to get repaired here!

It's really hard to find an auto shop that is honest but we LOVE B&D Auto! We feel their prices are fair and they don't try to get us to do services we don't need. Everyone on the team is fantastic and we have had an amazing experience taking our cars to B&D.

B&D auto has consistently been fair and professional when it came to repairing and maintaining my vehicles. I have never felt like I have paid too much or didn t get what I paid for. I highly recommend this business.

First time to use this auto repair shop. Always nervous of what repairs might be, but Doug was friendly and let me know straight up what the issues were for my car. Great at explaining process, called me let me know cost and didn't try to upset anything else. Will definitely make B & D my auto repair shop for the future!

First visit and Ryan Taylor greeted me upon arrival. He and the entire B&D team are professional, friendly, fun, and the service was excellent. Price point is more than fair. Awesome experience. Highly recommend!

It s really hard to find an auto shop that makes you feel they really care for you and your car and most importantly your peace of mind. Ryan was super friendly and attentive. He made some recommendations and even offered to look up additional information and a follow up. Doug and his staff are simply fantastic. I took an old F150 in for major repairs and they completed the job quickly and for the exact price quoted. I'd never used B&D before but was aware of their good reputation around town. I wanted to replace the engine with a Jasper remanufactured unit as they offer a great, no excuses three year parts and labor warranty on them provided they are installed by a certified Jasper installer. B&D is just that so I went with them. No surprises, just honesty and quality work. I would definitely use them again.Update: B&D also replaced the A/C condenser and serviced the A/C. I was told by the Ford dealer last year that I definitely needed a compre$$or as well. . . Compressor was fine. A few weeks after picking truck up after all of B&D's work, the A/C quit working. They told me to bring it right it. I thought maybe B&D was wrong and it actually DID need a new compressor after all, but it was just a simple O-ring that had failed. They diagnosed it, replaced the bad O-ring, vacuum checked the system and completely recharged it with the freon and didn't charge a dime.Still definitely a five star place to take your car!

I ve been using BND Auto for years and years and years and it s worth the wait even though I have to wait in line along with everybody else to get my car taken care of they get the best service possible and they don t overcharge and they re honest with you indicate you take care as fast as they can and they remember who you are

Overall great experience, repairs were timely and communication was impeccable. I had a blower motor replaced and a stuck key removed from my ignition, plus some diagnostics performed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, no complaints there.The only criticism I have is that I asked for a quote on AC repair and was told that after the blower motor was replaced, the AC was working. However it is definitely not ( it has never blown cold air since I ve owned the car) so I m not sure what prompted them to say it was working.

I've been taking my vehicles to B & D for 15 or more years. They do great work, with fair pricing, the front desk people are friendly and professional. Only improvement they might make is to provide coffee/hot chocolate in waiting room.... preferably free.

I was a first time customer for an oil change and front brake replacement. I waited for the car in the lobby and was amazed at all the repeat customers and how happy they were with Doug and his team. B&D Auto is the actual best place to take your car in all of San Diego. As a single mom who knows nothing about cars, car maintenance has always been a little nervous for me, it s just very intimidating. The team at B&D auto are so kind and helpful, they explain everything and give excellent advice on what is the best option for the longevity of your vehicle. Go and see them for anything you need, I promise you ll never go anywhere else.

Hands down the best mechanics in town! Every single time I have brought them an issue they have always fixed it when others have told me to just sell the car to them or pay an enormous amount of money. In life you need a good doctor, lawyer, dentist, and mechanic. I had a tremendous experience at b&d auto repair. They were completely transparent about what needed to be done and what could wait. They never tried to upsell anything and sent me text notifications throughout the day to keep me updated about where they were in the process. Thanks for the great work b&d I'll be back!

Locals recommended this place when I moved here. They don t make appointments. People wait outside until they open. I understand why now. They are honest, do great work and never pressure you into a repair you don t need. I m a customer for life now.

Thank you B and D auto. My truck is running like a charm. I was worried, smelling the gas, and my grand daughter noticed it too. I knew something was wrong. Brought it in and you had it fixed the same day! Having 2 older cars, that don't say what's wrong, I know I can count on you guys. And thank you for putting on my windshield wipers. I am from out of town and had 3 people recommend B and D auto repair to me. As I waited 30 mins for tgem to open, 5 customers joined me in the line and all spoke extremely highly of the high quality of service and the fair pricing.I was equally surprised that they turned my car around in 1 hour and 15 mins.This is the best mechanic I have been to in my lifetime, I give them my highest possible recommendation.

Highly recommend this Great service! My van overheated, and I had various quotes from shops in a wide range of work and prices. B&D Explained everything well and why they didn t want to do unnecessary repairs or bill for work that wasn t needed, or why they would do partial fluid replacement on transmission, to preserve longevity. I appreciate that a lot, as the quotes from specialty shops were much too high and probably unnecessary.Shopping around paid off and I ll be bringing my van here anytime it needs routine work ! I have used B&D Auto for several years on both of my cars. I use them because I find them to be dependable, and honest. If you are asking for a service that is not necessary they will tell you that and let you decide. If they find a bigger problem they will clearly explain the issue and if possible give you options. I was in and out pretty quickly. I expected to be paying a large sum of money for new brakes but Doug told me brakes were in good shape. And he replaced my battery that was only a year old but had died a few times. So I left not paying anything!
