This spot is located on the Mokelumne River, under the bridge that separates Amador and Calaveras counties. This is river access for fisherman and egress for kayaker coming down the river. We like this spot for running our RC (radio control) vehicles, there's lots of rocks and other obstacles to challenge yourself..

Super relaxing spot. Lost a star because there is only one bathroom which is just a hole in the ground and like you may imagine, it really stinks. But the inside of the bathroom did look like it was being maintained and cleaned. Bring hand sanitizer to wash your hands because like I said it is only hole in ground no running water or sink. But I love the place and go all the time.

Bathrooms okay, there a permanente hobo living here but after my 5th or 6th time seeing him I actually liked his presence. Awesome place to see the river, park and your so close to the water. Pic-nic here, chill, great place.

Nice lil spot along highway 49. Has a pit toilet that was open on a weekday in February. Numerous trails down to rushing water. Had a boat launch area too. Steep approach down the road.

Beautiful place to visit. Saw a couple fishermen. Just a short drive off highway. Road to parking area is just off hwy and takes you directly back to highway.

Ahhhh, the good ol' Mokelumne River. She's looking quite magnificent so far this spring, but it's a beautiful area regardless of the water level. One of my favorite places to see in these beautiful foothills.

Can t believe none of the reviews mention this but LOOK OUT FOR RISING WATER. The dam upstream releases water, in some cases in the summer volume will increase 4X or more over the course of 5-10 minutes. Be careful with children swimming!!

Make sure you bring someone with you and don't leave valuables in you car. There are loads of tweakers that call this place home. While it is a gorgeous place, and there is a great deal to explore and even swim in the summer, it is easily ruined by guys with airguns, strangers checking the insides of cars, and people that try to pick fights with you.

Nice place to get to the river. Launch your raft. No picnic benches. Plenty of room to sit on the rocks by the river.

None of the parking is in shade, and there is absolutely nothing there except a basic campground style bathroom. No tables, picnic areas, nothing.
